Laura’s flow was so vibrant, artistic and relaxing. I haven’t taken a yoga class that leaves my muscles as aligned and unstressed as hers did and I’ll definitely be back!!

I appreciate having the option for a quick and powerful 30 minute option after work (hot yogalates). Madison is an incredibly effective instructor and the studio does a great job ensuring you feel welcome in the space.

As a runner I rarely properly stretch before or after a run. I primarily run in the morning and between trying to get out the door and getting started on the run, I do not feel like I have time. I know it’s necessary because we use a multitude of muscles. By incorporating the runners and/or athletes yoga practices that Balance Breath offers I have felt a big difference in how my body feels when running. From the beginning of the class with Sierra’s motivations to get your mind in the ideal place for you and your goals, to the yoga positions that Becca has students do, you will enhance not only your body’s abilities in athletic performance, but life as whole. I cannot recommend this class enough. Also, if you are not interested in these classes, there are a multitude of other classes. Balancing Breath is a welcome addition to the Yoga culture in Tuscaloosa and the West Alabama area. I had never been in a Yoga Studio until Balancing Breath opened, so I was a bit intimidated at first, but now I feel like family anytime I go in. Check them out!

Balancing Breath is a wonderful, new studio in Tuscaloosa! The space is beautiful and serene, the instructors excellent, the offerings diverse (from challenging hot, power yoga to gentle flows and restorative practices), and the owners are great at building a community. I've so enjoyed practicing there!

Absolutely GORGEOUS space, a true retreat that is so welcome and needed in Alabama! My friend recommended BB (Balancing Breath) after I mentioned I was having a hard time find a yoga studio. She even gave me a free pass!
I was blown away - I’ve practiced in Washington DC, Philly, San Francisco, and even India. My experience at Balancing Breath blew me away (see the puns 😉). The owner and my Instructor Becca was warm, welcoming, and just excellent. She even chatted with me after class and gave some of the best guidance on a pose I’ve been working on for years.
I’ve since gone to several of the workshops and found each so informative, highly useful, and just relaxing. I’ve geared my workouts more towards weight lifting recently but just felt like I was missing something. Turns out Balancing Breath offers just I what I needed.
I also love how the studio and owners really focus on fostering community. As an adult, it’s can be difficult to make new friends. I feel as though I’ve found my “people,” aka kindred spirits interested in living athletic and balanced lives.
Would highly recommend to anyone, whether you are totally new to yoga or have been practicing for years!

I had a great experience! Being new to yoga I was a little nervous for my first class, but Becca made me feel very comfortable and welcome. I highly recommend taking a class even if you have never done yoga before. I will definitely be back.
