Got there at 5:45 am today (Dec. 1st) and the door was locked, scanner wouldn’t work, and no one was inside. Watched at least 10 people get out, check, and leave. Very frustrating and a waste of time. Go to literally any other location if you want a good gym that’s actually open 24 hours.

My husband and I both got memberships to Club 4 Airport in July 2025. My membership is $35.99 and my husband’s is $25.99 each month. $472.35 PLUS fees of $105 from them overcharging our account. That is what we have paid since July 2025, it is October 2025 currently. We have been fighting them to get our overpayments back or at least credited to our accounts and they just won’t do it. Not to mention the childcare leaves our brand new baby in a car seat for 2 hours. They sit on their phones. They also called us and said we had to leave and take the kids because we don’t have memberships which is infuriating when we are overpaid. The gym is nice, behind the scenes is not.

I wish I could give zero stars. They have been double charging me for over 5 months and won't correct it. I've called many many times begging for help and zero help has been given. DO NOT JOIN THIS GYM. upper management is disgraceful. Jeff and Barret are a joke. they're "in meetings" all day everyday. They refuse to call the 3rd party billing company ABC to correct my account.

DO NOT JOIN THIS GYM- I'm currently in the worst nightmare with this gym. I joined back in April and the front desk accidentally created duplicate accounts, so from the day I joined I have been paying two memberships. I noticed this when my bank caught on and flagged it fraud- I immediately called the gym and was gaslit by the manager Jeff R. He refused to believe me because on his screen he couldn't see the charged because he cancelled the membership but not the billing account with the third party biller. ABC the third party biller has told me multiple times and put multiple notes on my account about how I need to be refunded and cancel the billing account right away- I found out that the only person that can close this secondary account is by the regional manager Barret Andres. He finally got in touch with me after I emailed multiple times, and I still have not heard a resolution. This gym does not care for its members. I am still currently being charged twice, I'm still waiting for a response to my many emails. At this point I've been given only one option by the billing company to cancel through them but I will have to continue to pay for both accounts until the 30 day cancel is through. Its beyond unprofessional, and feels like retaliation for my original complaints about Jeff the manager-

The staff at the Airport location in Mobile, AL are top knotch. From the moment I walk in, I am greeted with a smile not only physically but also verbally. The training staff is great. The PT manager, Rob, is quick to be of help when needed or offer suggestions with a listening ear. I train with Brennan Powell for two years now and though he is very young, he is very knowledgable, keeps my workouts constantly changing to break any monotony and I got exactly what I asked for in a PT he never lets me give up on myself by pushing me and encouraging to get that last rep in. His heart is in what he does and he is passionate about his clients reaching their goals. Victoria is always helpful with anything I have needed help accomplishing and always so friendly. Jeff, y’all couldn’t have a better manager in him. He has been so helpful with several mishaps that were not of his doing that happen to my PT and bank account and worked tirelessly to get it rectified. Carlton was amazing when my PT was out and definitely kept my workouts fun and creative. There are so many more staff that I do know by name, but they greet everyone with a friendly smile and attitude and you get the same level of care as you are leaving for the day. I use to get frustrated with staff being moved so often to other locations. It is hard to connect when it is always changing. I truly hope you keep the staff as is at the Airport location because collectively they together are what makes it the best location in Mobile, AL.

I have been working out now at Club4 on Airport for 2 and a half years and we love it. The location has plenty amenities and while busy its never too crowded. I enjoy the club 360 classes and Yoga plus I do my own workouts. Posted is my most recent photo taken before a Body Combat Class. When I started two years ago I was 270. Now I weigh 196 and I am getting close to my goal.

I’m sorry that I even entered this establishment. My trainer was put through hell and back between sexual harassment and poor management. Also they swindle you for every penny. Getting in and out of contracts is a nightmare and you cannot contact anyone to get your money back. Worst investment ever. Imagine coming to workout and being told you have to leave because "My manager" said no. Quick back story, Ive had this membership for almost a year and decided to come to this location preferably for the sauna. Tonight the female tried to embarrass me in front of another customer by saying my acct is past due. Two days ago I had this conversation with another worker and he realized it was my personal training acct that was past due not my actual gym membership. He told me that they don't interfere with one another, gave me a few recommendations on next steps which I truly appreciate, and even told me to consider their trainers (which I was actually considering b/c the PT issue I have is with a different location), However, I was still able to proceed with my workout. Tonight the young lady had zero understanding even after I explained this to her. It's clear as day in their system that my membership was paid for the month. This incident alone made me cancel my membership. When I told her I would like to cancel she stated It probably would not let me b/c my acct is past due. Was that remark even necessary? I don't believe so. Otherwise the gym and all staff besides her were really nice and welcoming.

I have been going to club4 for over a year now. The gym is clean and their staff is very friendly. I have been training with Brennan as my personal trainer for several months now. Brennan is a highly qualified trainer and very professional. He paid close attention to my fitness goals and helped me build strength and endurance along the way. I highly recommend Club4 and their personal training program!

If you work out in the morning before work, expect this club to be open 30 minutes to an hour late half the time as their management doesn’t care when staff doesn’t show up.
Edit: today was the 5th time I’ve arrived to find the club opening late and in fact it ended up being an hour and a half. They should make this club accessible 24 hours like the other locations.

I love this gym I truly do. It has my favorite layout of all the Club 4s across Mobile and I really love the powerlifting room. But lately I’ve been very disappointed because I have a very strict schedule where I have limited time to work out and there either isn’t an opener at 5am when it’s supposed to open or it opens late. I gave this gym a four star review a while back. But because of Recent events, I want to come back and give it a one star after going to the gym for a couple of years. I have noticed that there are A couple of guys that perform very very inappropriate things in the sauna/bathrooms. One day I decided I've had enough and I did not want an under age kid having to walk into the sauna and see something so horrific I'm in the front desk and was told There really isn't much they can do Which I informed them There are a lot of underage kids that go here and it's just super inappropriate. After the encounter with the front desk and continued disturbing things that these men do to themselves in public To come and inform everyone that if you have underage kids that want to join the gym, I would not recommend it. This gym also has became very nasty and unkept. I warn you STAY AWAY

Club 4 had a beautiful Missing Man table set up to commemorate Memorial Day. What an amazing thing to do, and causes me to realize I have come back to the best place in Mobile to work out. She bought it to two people behind the desk attention and they simply laughed in her face and didn’t explain that her membership didn’t directly come with a β€œguest pass.” They were also very rude when signing me up for the 3 day pass process. These gyms continue to get dumber and dumber. I never liked corporate at Club 4, but because I need the ability to have a steam room with weight machines that I like, I tried to come crawling back yet again. They have hiked to the prices for one. 15 bucks used to get you every location in town. Now they want to charge $25 for that.

In addition, the only reason why I'm picking the Airport Boulevard location and so that I can use the sauna. Years ago when Ray was still the manager of this location, he told me that corporate tweaked with the heating element so that it could not go to full heat even though we have a gauge on the wall that we can use to control how hot we want the sauna to get. I complained and complained and complained and nothing was done so when Crunch Fitness opened up and I saw their sauna gets up to 198 degrees, I was out the door.

I checked back there just now and it's no better. The one at Crunch Fitness gets hot hot like I like it. Then they have the unmitigated Gall to charge $25 for using the sauna when you have no way to prove that the $10 a month people aren't using it! It's in the ladies room! There's no access code and even if there was, they would just share it with everyone else. So to recap, I have to pay $25 a month just to come to one location that has a sauna that is not working at its full capacity that they have no way to make sure the $10 a month members are using. I'll just stay at Crunch and deal with the crowds and things like this is why Crunch Fitness stays so crowded in the first place.

Stan the Assistant Manger calls my phone after hours stating that he watch the cameras and claimed I allowed someone in the gym and he was going to authorize a charge onto my card for $50. So I went to the gym to discuss this matter. When I told him even if I knew this person i pay the premium service amount which would only be $7 he laughed in my face. The disrespect. Then I told him the cameras see him laughing in my face making everything I said to him like it was a joke. He went to explain the cameras only could see my face, and not his so he could say what he could do and laugh all I want. I asked to speak with his manager Lindsay Knoepflep he went on to say, I have talked to her before (which is a lie) Never in my life have I ever felt mistreated, humiliated, and not safe. I went to this gym for about 3years, but I’m done. It is quite a few gyms in Mobile this one isn’t the one. Especially with men mangers who make you feel that they can β€œsay or do” anything to you and no could see their face because the cameras are turned in a certain way said assistant Manger Stan. It’s never cool to make someone feel that way. It made me think what else you’re capable of doing because the cameras are turn in certain ways.

The personal training program is very lack of management. I signed up last year in January for personal training program and paid almost $800 per month to get trained three sessions per week. It was okay until my previous trainer quit. First of all, no one even tried to contact me to schedule me with new trainers. I had to be without a trainer for almost three month, and then later club4 hires some college students as their new trainers. Who is gonna be responsible for my missing three month without a trainer? Second, my previous trainer has been β€œsneaky”. He said he would not charge me on some sessions that he or me had to reschedule ahead of time. Turned out he did. Third, I just had a procedure done, and my doctor suggested me not to work out for a few years until I feel better. Club 4’s response is β€œ We can only cancel if your disability is long-term or more permanent in nature”, and Club4 wants to freeze my account until then. I feel that club4 is wishing me permanent disabled in this nature. Club 4 wants a detailed document for my privacy, and personally, I do not want to share it. I can give them my doctor’s notes but I do not want to share details about my medical history with a GYM. As their client for over a year, I do not recommend their personal training program. Nothing against the trainers, it is the management that makes me feel uncomfortable to continue with them. If anyone needs to talk before signing up, I’m here.

If I could give them no stars I would. Club4 seems like a complete scam. For there to be no corporate number for a customer to make a complaint or claim is unbelievable. I was told that I was a liar when I did all the steps possible to cancel my gym membership due to a move out of town, where there isn’t a club4. I called and requested a refund due to payment being taken without me authorizing the payment. I was told I had to cancel before 3 days and I did just that and now I’m being told it could take up to 30 days for a cancellation to be done so that’s the reason of being charged. That is extremely unbelievable and I should have been informed of that. I have been giving the run around since the day I tried to cancel the member back in October. The manager told me to call another number ask for a refund knowing that they could not issue any refunds only management could do so. I will not recommend club4 to anyone due to these circumstances. I only came to the gym 3 times and you would think they would be more understanding but no. You have a 3 day grace period and trust me they do not honor none of their words, they are also they own company so they will treat you any type of way be aware.

So many good things to say! I was visiting my family (traveled from Tampa, FL) and wanted to stay consistent on my workouts. A childhood friend mentioned they worked out here and I decided to try it instead of Cr***h in the hopes I could buy day passes.

Jeff was EXTREMELY helpful in making me feel welcomed. We talked about my recent completion of the 75 Hard challenge. One of the PTs gave me a thorough tour of the gym. This was very helpful because I like to get through my workouts knowing where everything is! I wish I remembered her name but thank you!

This gym has everything you need and THEN SOME to get a good workout in! It’s clean, spacious, good background music, newer equipment, clean restroom… speaking of… the women’s restroom has a code for our safety… SO GRATEFUL for this! #TheSmallThings

Been given the run around on how to cancel for a month. The management a team is not respectful to clients. Very unprofessional especially their GM JEFF. Rude to customers, and I imagine and he handles customers this way, His employees are watching and learning.

This is what I’ve been told from 3 different people to cancel..
The personal trainer has to cancel (she was on vacation for a week)
The general manager has to do it (and no one else can)
I need to send an email to this email address. (No one has responded for weeks)

JEFF the GMs response when I said no you can send an email, I’ve already done that and been told a number different ways to cancel.. was β€œso you told me that you wanted me to help you fix this problem, but when I give you the solution you tell me you do not want to do that. How does that make sense?”

If he is a forward facing manager he should be trained on how to speak to frustrated customers and that’s not it.

I wasn’t going to write any review but then I got disrespected. And I need to teach individuals that actions have consequences. So Club4 has been my preferred gym in Mobile for a long time. GREAT GYM! Super clean and you’ll never be waiting for equipment. I come here periodically throughout the year and always pay the guest membership fee outright wether it be a week or month. This time there was a little miscommunication with the front desk staff when signing up, which should of been a easy fix but instead ended up being a whole ordeal.

I had paid $50 a week ago which I thought was for a month pass but it ended up only being a 1 week pass. The situation is simple as this.
I was trying to explain this to an individual who works there named JT (apparently an assistant manager) who kept questioning me to check the validity of my explanation.

Clear miscommunication with whoever signed me up which was NOT JT. Throughout the years coming here the front desk has been very welcoming but that seems have changed dramatically.

Today in front of his manager, JT tells me I should go to a different gym if I don’t hear him out. Am I really entitled to listen to you? When your higher up manager (Jeff) is right next to you already explaining the situation? You work at a gym, you do not own it. Stop trying to validate your position of power here. Learn from your other colleagues and be humble. I think Club4 would be just fine without you? Don’t you think? Also it seems like you enjoy walking around and talking to all the women that come to the gym. I’m sure they don’t come to Club 4 to stare at your receding hairline. Sorry about that but the truth needs to be told. I do not tolerate disrespect. Especially when I am the customer who is paying to be here at the facility.

JT needs a reality check. Doesn’t understand that there should be no ego involved when speaking to members. I do really like this gym and I hope top management chooses better authoritative figures of power.

I pay my dues and I pay to be there. You do not get to tell me which gym to go to.

My concern is with the staff, David Helton in particular.

I joined the Airport gym in Dec 2021. After a month I realized Hillcrest was closer to my son's school and would be more convenient. I then changed my membership to Hillcrest and began going daily between the hours of 8am and 10am. The gym at Hillcrest is cramped but I was able to make it work until recently. Being that the gym is smaller, when there is training session, an entire section of the gym is closed. Unfortunately, it happens a few times a week. So, I went back to Airport hoping they would allow me to change my home gym again. My thinking was since it had been over a year, they may not view it as me wanting to have access to several gyms. I went to the desk and the first gentlemen said it would not be a problem. He wrote my name down and I went to workout . As I was leaving i went to the front desk and asked if a protein bar could be charged to my card. Evan then advised me that I would have to upgrade to the $25 a month plan since I was coming back from hillcrest as this was the policy. I said I understood but would like to speak to a manager to explain the situation further. He went about 10 steps away and spoke with David Helton who was just chatting with some other employees nearby. David then quickly came to the desk and without hesitation said, " I'm just going to tell you the same thing!" Totally taken off guard I replied, " Do you normally not allow your customers to speak?" He again stated," I'm just going to tell you the same thing! He already told me what you were asking so this is a waste of time." Needless to say, I was stunned and asked for the number to corporate. He replied, " I am corporate! " . He stated there is no one above him other than the owner and he is unable to give their name. I am terminatin my membership to Club 4 Fitness. I'm not sure if the disrespect I endured was due to misogyny or misogynoir. But I can't help wondering if he would have spoken so recklessly to a man.

I used to go to the one on Schillinger but I’ve been recently going to this location more. Much more clean and the staff always welcomes and greets me. Such a family environment. This is the gym if you are getting serious about your fitness. Don't let the more fit individuals intimidate you. Everyone is helpful and the staff is pleasant. The facility is clean and well kept. Club4fitness is plagued by caustic, multi-tiered management originating with the managing partner. He hires and promotes inept regional managers and location specific general managers who foster a hateful environment towards both employees and members. Today, I received a voicemail not only canceling my long standing membership but also banning me from ever joining any Club4fitness location. I dared to complain that management ran off all of the good employees responsible for cleaning the gym. There has been discussion of a steady rise in the number of Covid cases and other viruses originating at the Airport location. I have been privileged to contract both of them! The closing manager on duty often laughed at the uncleanliness of the gym and told me that it had not been cleaned in several weeks. This same manager even called the regional manager to close the gym, but the regional manager refused to address the issue. I strongly caution existing members and anyone considering joining this gym to the health risk due to insufficient sanitation conditions. These people have severe staffing issues that preclude them from properly maintaining their facilities. Their employees are also paid to report anyone they suspect of personal training. In most cases, these are friends and couples working out together who get banned forever from the gym so that an obscenely underpaid employee can make a few bucks. Perhaps one day the silent investors will wake up and see how very poorly their money is managed?! I joined Crunch today, and I am loving it!

I stopped by the gym tonight and was really nervous about joining. Lindsey helped calm my nerves and showed me the gym and also helped me sign up. She also showed me how to sign up for my first class. I took the grit strength class that Jeff suggested and it was great. My wife and I came in yesterday and joined. I have to say I was a little skeptical at first because we haven’t been to the gym in forever. I’ve had an injury and she just had a baby but Lindsey was extremely informative with all of our options. I’m so happy that we have two hours of Kid Care to use very excited to take the classes.

The front staff is all amazing, extremely kind and helpful with everything. They all get five stars! Unfortunately the facility is turning more into a PF. The sauna has been broken for months along with the red light therapy. A few of the pieces of equipment are worn and the padding is ripped. More and more people are not cleaning the equipment after using it, but in the afternoons I always seeing staff cleaning. Again, staff five stars, facility two.

I joined the gym and purchased a personal training package (3 -1/2 hour sessions per week). After a few hiccups in the 1st 3 months which occurred largely as a result of the fact that 1. the contract is not given to you 2. they are trying to run you through signing everything while standing at the front desk with people coming in and out and conversations going on all around 3. Misrepresenting that the trainers are employees of the gym (which would mean they had set schedules ) but they are "subcontractors" and come and go as they please. That got cleared up the hard way by my losing a couple of sessions, but while annoying it was not enough to make me quit. I renewed for another 3 months and increased my package to 3 - 1 hour sessions per week. This is approximately $800 per month. I was somewhat reluctant because this would end right as I was scheduled to be moving out of state. Everyone: my trainer, the gym Mgr, and the Regional Mgr, knew this I was moving in December. Everyone said not to worry, it would be fine since they all knew it, and the automatic renewals would stop. Then after a month my trainer announced she was also moving out of state. We had many conversations because she was moving to the same state I was moving to, and never once did she tell me don't forget you need to fill out a form to stop your recurring charges. Never once did the Manager who was a frequent visitor in the room I was training in, say a word, and never once did the Regional Manager Ray, say hey I need that form. As it turned out, my trainer did not open her mouth because she wanted the commission on the renewal, the manager never said a word, because he too benefits from the number of people doing training, and the Regional Manager because he said it wasn't his job. Go back to the beginning of this and remember they do not give you a written copy of your contract, nor do they go over those pesky little details that may make you think twice about the commitment, but the bottom line is they got another $800 training payment along with the gym membership payment of $25, out of me by refusing to cancel my auto payments when I requested they do so because I did not fill out a form on top of everyone knowing about it. Regional Mgr Ray was totally unprofessional and when he found out that I was trying to call their corporate office (which by the way you can not get the information for Corporate from anyone in any of their locations in any state) about removing my auto payment information he got angry and told me he would make sure I did pay the extra month, which I did. They were dead wrong about the entire thing but they never apologized for any of it.

Stay away from these people unless all you want is their $10 membership. The gym itself is nice (which is why 2 stars), but it isn't worth the headache dealing with them about money. The reason they don't let you sit down and go over your paperwork with you privately, is so that you feel rushed and just sign the dotted line. They tell you the contract will be emailed to you, but they don't email it. If you ask for a printed copy, they say "we don't do that". It's all a way to get that one extra month out of you. If it was just a club fee I would not be complaining but they got me for a personal training fee of $800 and a club fee of $25.

They get and KEEP your credit card or bank information and they never delete any of the information the receive. So even if you request to make a change - like to use a different credit card, their system saves all of the entries they make so when I cancelled my credit card with my bank to stop this mess, they went back to my prior payment method which I thought they no longer had after I changed it with my renewal. They NEVER refund any over charges. If you read the other reviews there is another person who had this experience.

This happened in December 2020 and I waited until now to say anything because I wanted to be sure the payments stopped coming out - and to be be able to develop my case. Congratulations Club4Fitness, I am going to sue you.

The gym is consistently clean and well-maintained. The classes are great, and the staff is friendly, but what I am most impressed with is the kid-care. My 4 year old loves going to the gym with me. He enjoys the staff, they play games, color, put on his favorite shows and just generally make the whole thing fun. Knowing my kid is safe and happy, allows me to not feel guilty about enjoying a hydromassage after a hard workout and that adds so much value to me.
