Filthiest gym in America! The floor is too nasty for crunches, push ups, yoga or anything that requires you to touch the floor. Most gym classes are done in the dark to hide the nasty floor. The floor probably hasn’t been mopped since Stein Mart closed. Body Pump with Becky & Zumba with Tamika are great, and probably the only reason I am still a member here.

I signed up for this gym to get back into shape and with hopes of meeting with a personal trainer. I had two appointments made with a trainer whom consistently canceled on me even on the day of. I just found it unprofessional. I was then charged 75 dollars to cancel my membership. The front desk staff were nice, but if you have goals with a trainer, I would not recommend this gym.

Came to this club 4 this summer and asked to pay upfront for 3 months of membership, they gave me a price and ran my card 3 times, 1 month later my card gets charged for the next month even though I paid for it all up front, turns out the payment went to a cost not listed correctly on my agreement. I called the company and they said go to the front desk, I went to the front desk manager (a new one) and he said it’s out of his hands, no one takes accountability or tries to make it right. Check better business bureau if you don’t believe me. 94 COMPLAINTS against this business with an F rating, while other club 4s in the area have a C rating with single digit complaints. No matter the hoops you jump through to make it impossible to mess up they will get extra from you no matter what

I was in the health club business for 16 years. I'm passionate about fitness and when it comes to facilities, I'll admit I can be overly critical. So finding a place so well thought out that I felt completely comfortable in the space. Was amazing, in fact it's probably the most well thought out facility I have ever been in. What's even better, 24 hour access! These guys have figured the formula out!.

Fast forward a year and a half later. I've mow made my rounds to all of thevlical club 4 locations in the Birmingham, AL area. There are a few things gs that could be addressed. But overall, this club 4 thing is legit. Im beyond impressed. We'll run and fairly well maintained. What would I change? Not much to be completely honest. There have been some equipment problems lately. But these are to be expected, and alternatives are there for almost any machine I've seen down for service. It would be amazing if there existed a way for a week or even a three day pass so we could let our friends see the difference in club 4. You cannot guiage a workout facility on a tour. Secondly, I think the website needs some work. I do love the options on the app for tracking workouts etc. But some of us no longer have the eye site we once had. Usi g bolder text and text an a different color besides light blue. Also, Im a physiologist and have my own workout routines I've worked on perfecting for years. It's had to add my routines into my app. If that were available it would be great. I think today's society works off convenience. Allowing easier access to tanning and the red light therapy would be stellar. Thanks guys for building such a great chain of gyms that really is for everybody.

I have been a member for several years. It is a really good club. I wish they would make better use of the studio space but otherwise it is better than the other options I have seen in the area. It is large and has a great variety of machines, weights and cardio equipment. Floor stretching space could be enhanced with use of what appears to be a mostly empty studio that is used for taped / video Les Mills workouts (which I don’t use). It is convenient for most of Hoover.

Gyms are usually intimidating, especially if you're new or haven't been in years, but not Club4 Fitness Hoover. Everyone has been and is friendly and encouraging, they always try to speak as you enter to check in hoping you feel welcomed.

The facilities are well lit with great equipment options, and the locker rooms are clean and spacious.

The added amenities such as tanning, red light therapy, and hydromassage beds are top notch! I always try to indulge in using at least one on every gym visit.

They have a wide variety of fitness classes and personal trainers available, but absolutely ZERO pressure to participate with either.

It's a great facility and I actually ENJOY going to the gym and look forward to each time.

A very good gym. Has everything I need to stay healthy. They have good locker storage untis for the men the locket floors are usually clean as are the bathrooms. The gym equipment could be cleaner. Sometimes the weight machines stink. Sometimes the tread mill machines stink. Could be cleaner. The large gym area is a little too hot in the summer. A degree or two lower would help those of us who run or walk fast. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

This location struggles with management oversight. (I don't know that I've ever seen the general manager there) Because of that gym rules and etiquette are not followed or enforced. You will routinely find weights not re-racked throughout the gym. There are several members that intentionally drop weights. On two occasions I've spoken to "manager on duty" with no resolve. Last time, after asking the manager twice to address, whatever he said to them it ended with them laughing and shaking hands and when I walked over I was told I should go to Planet Fitness. I've been there two years and it getting worse.

The temperature in Men’s Sauna is not hot enough so it takes a while to build up. It’s not terrible but as soon as someone opens the door it’s sucks all the built up heat right out of the sauna with a blast of cool air. Make the sauna hotter.

Terrible Customer service. They use their cameras when it benefits them but forget to watch when it benefits their clients. They called me threatening to charge me because I came to the gym when there was an issue with my account. They failed to watch the cameras, which showed that I spoke to an employee of the gym and resolved the issue. What happened to calling clients to see what happened before threatening those who give you a job?

Saw some people taking photos of a gym-goer for doing some calisthenics. They’re pretty out there movements, but nothing to point and laugh at. I am a woman who loves this gym. This gym is very clean and spacious! I would not go anywhere else but Club4 . The staff is always friendly and knowledgable about the equipment. They also have personal trainers there but they bill separate from the membership. The gym membership is very reasonable $25 for premium without the classes but you can still go to any location plus they even have a sauna(which is my favorite). This gym has a women’s only( dont worry you need a code to enter lol) small workout area, so to the ladies who have social anxiety dont worry this gym has you covered.

Great space for a gym with good equipment, but their trial period is misleading. Visiting family for the holidays and their “free 3 day trial” is only for those with a local address on their LICENSE. I couldn’t give them my family address unfortunately. It says this nowhere on the website, and nowhere in emails. The day pass was $15, which is very steep for a one time day pass.

I’ve also already gotten 2 promotional emails in less than 24hrs which is pretty heavy spam at this rate. Overall, if you’ve got a local address on your license, it seems like a decent gym with good space, but their marketing definitely left a bad taste in my mouth.

I love this gym, the staff here are so helpful, the place has an open layout and is not crowded. Don't have to spend time waiting for equipment. The 24hour access is huge bonus for me because I like working out late at night.

I’m a huge fan of their group fitness offerings. Both the main and cycling studio are a group fitness fanatic’s dream. Tons of Les Mills classes and nice bikes/equipment. Also can’t forget about the Kids Club. Its a nice safe place for the kid while I take care of myself.

Can’t beat the price. It’s $35/month for the top tier membership, which gets you kids club and the private small group training classes. That’s a steal. You can get an even cheaper membership if you don’t care about the extras. I think they even offer a $10/month option.

Did I mention it’s 24 hours!?!? It’s a sweet deal, y’all. Enjoy it over the Y, Crunch, and 24E!

Purposefully bad customer service? Not sure what's up here, but it seems other folks had similar bad experiences with some of the staff here. We we're looking for a new gym with good hours and thought we'd check out Club4 in Hoover. We came by to check it out and front desk staff was actively rude and weirdly arrogant? Not in the usual cocky-but-lovable-gym-bro way either. Just an overall bad experience right out of the gate.

Never join club4fitness. They have staff who don’t even know how the club functions. I don’t think any of their associates know how the billing department works. There is abc fitness who handles all club4fitness memebership related things. Being a customer I came to know this after hardship and their front desk people never knew this fact. I have seen hell to cancel the membership with club4fitness. The front desk people told me that I can cancel the membership anytime but abc fitness is saying I have to request cancellation 2 months ahead. I was shocked how uneducated the agents at club4fitness. Never ever join them because they are cheap but they will rip you off once you join. Go to planet fitness and they are 100 times better in servicing customers.

I cannot say enough how great the gym is! I sincerely appreciate all the great and hard work of the wonderful staff. They are so responsible and helpful. Many special thanks to Tavi and Alexis! The machines so new and nice. Really love the Red Light Therapy booth :) Very relaxing and refreshing!

If you are looking for a gym or thinking to switch gym for whatever reason, I strongly recommend you to join this one, you will find out yourself how awesome everything and everybody is. The monthly membership is $10-$35. Ours is $25. Such a great value!!! Really love it!

Excellent gym!!! Employees are all so professional and friendly! They have all the machines you can think of. The gym is very spacious and clean! The BEST gym I have ever been! Very well lit parking lot too. I highly recommend them to everyone!!! They have 3 days free trial also! Give it a try and you will love it!!!

I had called 3 times in attempt to freeze my membership (all on different dates and times). On the fourth call (over a 1 week period) I finally got an employee to answer. When I brought my concern to ALEXIS she was rude and told me that my circumstance was “unfortunate” and she cannot help me. Upon request for a manager she said “I am one of those” and after a brief pause she said “I have two general managers next to me, do you want a male or female” (which seems like an unprofessional question to ask). After handing the phone to the manager I could still hear her complaining about me in the background. Whenever you go into this Club4 you can find employees sitting on the front desk, on their phones, and talking about their customers in a negative way. My issue was not resolved and the “general manager” Tyler told me I have to go through a third-party to be able to cancel this membership. He said none of my voicemails were responded to because he cannot access them (a bit strange that a general manager cannot access his businesses voicemails).I would not recommend this gym to anyone and would go as far to say that this is the WORST customer service I have had to deal with.

Worst gym I have EVER experienced. Do not go if you want to be sucked dry. They ARE AWFUL. Staff is so unprofessional and management doesn’t care to listen to issues. I will never attend a gym again because of them I will be fat my whole life.

It looks like there are fake accounts reporting 1 stars for no reason giving it a bad review. I go to the Club 4 in Homewood and love it. However, I am going to this one tonight to see it. They have more than the Homewood location like tires and a sauna. It looks bigger too. Cllub 4 in Homewood is really professional, clean, and a great price but it is busy there. I don't see how this gym could have bad reviews unless it is a competitor mad about their opening lol

Awesome gym - nice open layout, super intelligently organized, 8 rows of brand new cardio equipment with 3 rows of treadmills - all with life fitness software, tons of free weights (also all brand new), and a functional fitness area. Sauna will be turned on in a week and it’ll be officially 24 hours in two weeks (apparently). Insane value for the $10 membership - or a whopping $15 for 24 hour access.
