Never know when I show up to start my day with a workout if the gym doors will be opened or not. It's frustrating that I pay for a membership which comes out of my account each month and I never know if I'll be able to workout before work. The gym is currently not open at 6:22 am Monday morning.

Unclean, bathrooms with no toilet paper, broken machines some labeled and some not. I have put up with the dimly lit parking lot for some time now. At this point I am willing to drive for better. Sadly, I recently upgraded my membership for a classes no longer offered. Complaining is like me talking to our cat and expecting action. All I get is its "upper managment".

This is a very nice and clean facility. There is a wide variety of exercise equipment for whatever type of fitness goals you are looking to achieve. I especially like the hydro-massage chairs and the red light therapy and the option to either use the tanning booths or spray tanning. Very unclean facility, bathrooms and locker room are always disgusting. Most things end up broken and stay that way for months. Dont even have toilet paper in bathrooms most of time or toilets are out of order. You get what you pay for which is why membership is so cheap. Yesterday was my first time at the Crunch Fitness in Alabaster and I definitely will be returning. The man at the front desk, CJ, was very welcoming and acted like he actually cared. I was very amused when he called me ma'am and his smile truly just brightened my whole day as I went up to the desk after my workout and tanned in their very clean beds. The gym itself was very clean compared the Crunch Fitness in Tuscaloosa. 10/10 would recommend to a friend.

Staff is friendly and helpful, decent variety of equipment, and atmosphere is generally welcoming. However, much of the equipment appears to be old, with tears in padding on benches and much of the equipment severely needing to be lubricated. Very creaky. There are also very few paper towel and spray stations, and those that they do have are located very far apart, so it is not really set up to encourage people to wipe down equipment after use. As a result, most people don’t. Hand soap in ladies bathroom has been out the past two weeks, since I started attending this gym. Overall, decent gym but definitely could stand some TLC.

I am a woman in my mid-70s. I joined Crunch in Alabaster, AL in March, 2025. From the very beginning, I have loved being a member. I also love the Staff! They treat me with respect and a genuine care about my needs every time I go in. I especially like the Hydro Massage Chairs and the Red Light therapy because I was in a very serious car accident that broke my back in two places, and these therapy machines help me tremendously. I'm limited in the exercise equipment I can use, but there is equipment designed for those of us who need to ease into getting fit, and for those who are already fit. Tony, the General Manager, is proactive in making sure everything runs smoothly. If a situation arises, he is quick to fix it, understanding in helping the member, and appreciative of our business. I feel Blessed that someone referred me to this Crunch Fitness gym, and I gladly highly recommend them.

Walked in for the first time Sunday to inquire about the gym. Cisco greeted me with a smile and was so welcoming and answered many of my questions and encouraged me to try a 3-day pass. Went home and joined online. Came back the next day, brought a friend, and she joined! Was greeted by the friendly staff at check in; Blayden went above and beyond to answer questions and even spoke to us to follow up in the parking lot when he was on break. This staff has demonstrated a great culture where the customer comes first. They aren’t on their phones, they aren’t inconvenienced when you ask questions, they invite you to join them at your comfort level, and genuinely care about you and your fitness journey, no matter where that is. Tony, the GM, has established a great team and is the real deal. Great customer service is hard to find these days, yet this team truly excels! What a breath of fresh air! Thankful you all are in Alabaster and I will be working on more referrals! Tony and Crunch Alabaster team are great. I’ve been working out there for a while but I finally did my sign-up consultation with Tony a few weeks ago. We did the InBody scan and then spent a little talking goals and then did a work out together. Getting the InBody scan and some tips from a trainer was VERY MOTIVATING. I tweaked some workouts and made a few diet adjustments. When we did our follow-up 3 weeks later I am proud to say I had added muscle, lost 1.5lbs and dropped 3% body fat. Im looking forward to continuing working with the Crunch Alabaster team and pursuing my best health.

I wrote a review about how three out of four showers in the men’s locker room were broken. Not only did they respond admitting that it was indeed an overdue problem, they personally called me to say they had fixed the showers and apologized. I've had an up and down relationship with Crunch, but under new management with Tony, I'm finally pleased to say that I am happy with the place. I had cancelled my membership due to employees who were there in the past, but rejoined about a week ago after talking to Tony a couple of months back about the changes that have been made.
Crunch has a very wide variety of equipment, training and class offerings, childcare, supplements and additional services like red light therapy, massage, and sauna that give high value to your monthly membership. I'm looking forward to continuing my wellness journey with them now.

Two stars rounded up, because the facility was exactly what I needed, so I can't ding them on that.
The business/data security practices however are horrible. When I wanted to end my membership, they continued to charge card even after I contacted them through the app, email and in person. The only resolution was through my credit card in which I had to file a dispute, twice.
Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be the end, as it seems my credit card information is being used at a dental clinic, that I've never heard of nor visited, but under the charge of Crunch Fitness, so the headache is ongoing. Seems the only way will be to cancel my current card and request a new one, as it seems my card I provided has been shared.

I have been coming to crunch for about a year now and have LOVED all of the fitness classes they offer! My favorite has been the HIIT classes! The instructors are amazing! Love crunch fitness since I joined in 2/2024. The group fitness classes that I take are fantastic to get motivated to workout. The instructors are friendly and great to interact with, to name a few that I specifically enjoy are Courtney, Brannon, Kate, Jeaneen, and Tresa. I attend a number of different classes these instructors teach.

I will also point out the personal training that crunch offers is great if you need that extra accountability put on some one else to create a workout routine for you to go through 1-3 times a week. Sheila is a great PT and I will be working with her again at the beginning on 2025.

This locations Kidscrunch is great at communicating when your children need something or if there is an issue. My children love coming to play with the other kids.

I got a pass for a 3 day trial. By the end of those 3 days, I was signing up for a membership. The facility is nice, clean and filled with kind people. I go every single day and I have never had any issues with other gym goers.
The staff is ALWAYS nice and willing to help. I had an issue with my phone not being linked up with my account so my scanner wouldn't work. The woman at the front desk was determined to find out what was causing the issue, she found the problem and promptly resolved it.

In the last year I started a membership at my local gym in Alabaster and it has been a wonderful experience for my entire family. Tony(one of the managers) has helped me design a workout plan that has met just about all of my expectations for 6 months in. He also helped me find affordable training for my wife that was affordable and made her feel comfortable all around. Seth and Meagan at the front desk always have a smile on their face and even made my 12 year old son feel comfortable who had never been in a gym before. I have visited the other Crunch locations in town and they are not bad but Tony and his staff make the Alabaster location feel like home. Thanks!!!

I switched to this crunch a few weeks ago from amped and I have loved it! The staff and the atmosphere is amazing! I have had the most encouraging people around to help with spotting and this is really hard to come by because it can be intimidating!

Working out here has been a blast! The equipment is always clean and in working order. The GM Tony is such an amazing guy with a high spirit and knowledge of the gym and workouts in general. It has been a pleasure working out here and I will continue to workout here for as long as I can. The best Gym Experience I have ever had!

The general manager Tony has absolutely been amazing to work with! He was so helpful and kind and was quick to answer all my questions with detailed attentive answers! Canceled my membership, still charged me for a full year at $104.96, and $59.99 the next month, ACH charges, so my bank won't let me dispute. Tried calling the corporate number, they keep redirecting you to other numbers, there is ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE, can't talk with anybody and they will STEAL MONEY FROM YOU! STAY AWAY

I come to this gym to workout and tan multiple times s. There are plenty of machines and weights to choose from so I never have to worry about waiting a long time to use the equipment. The tanning rooms are always clean, and I love that they offer red light therapy and hydro massages as well! Overall, this gym offers the perfect blend of fitness and self-care. The women’s locker room has always been very clean when I’ve come to lock up my bag, use the restroom, take a quick shower, etc. My four kids attend Kid’s Crunch and always look forward to going! I would definitely recommend this gym to anyone!

this gym has gone down hill majorly horribly. the facility is never clean and always has broken equipment. the sauna is absolutely disgusting (haven’t seen it be cleaned in over 6 months), and the majority of the staff has no care in the world that their facility is falling apart right in front of them. the gym was not always this bad but in recent months it’s been on a rapid decline. don’t let the reviews fool you. this is the worst option for a gym in alabaster. all the management cares about is getting your money. do not by any means come here.
