Has to be one on the best gyms in the area!!! Tons of equipment, if it breaks it is fixed quickly, staff is amazing. Always clean and organized! Great mix of folks, young and older alike. If you have not checked them out, you need to! Highly recommend!

Great gym. Very clean. Nice staff. I recently moved away and when I signed up I was specifically told there were no cancellation fees. I canceled a few days ago. Today I was charged $30 as usual but I was also charged an additional $49 on top of it for a total of $79. Ripping $80 out of someone’s account when you specifically said “no cancellation fees or anything like that so don’t worry” is bad business. I don’t recommend joining up unless you want to get hit with nearly $100 in cancel fees when you leave.

Update: they issued refunds on both charges. Bringing this up to four stars because it’s really not a bad gym. Just had the one bad experience when cancelling.

This was a great place to work out. Easy to enroll.

I had Deo for personal training for a while. He was great.

They had some music that was degrading to women playing at times. I mentioned this to the staff, and they addressed their music streaming service.

When I needed to pause membership for travel, I just called, and they handled it. Same for when I eventually needed to cancel.

Was trying to cancel my membership without a car at the time, and couldn't get anyone to answer the phone. The gym in my location closed down and money was still coming out my account for a few months.
Friendly staff and comfortable atmosphere, no problem there; was a problem when after calling the last time, I finally got a ride there to see 3/4 employees talking behind the counter, but noone had time to answer a call?

Liked it at first but was a pain to cancel. No one was ever there or answered the phone. Had to call muscle shoals to even speak to someone finally. Desk lady was unfriendly and uncaring, and had to pay an additional month To even cancel for a membership I can not even use being 9 months pregnant. Never going back.

Set up a two week trial to test this gym out. It was meant to be a free trial and we (2 friends and myself) were given a date to cancel three days prior to the end of the trial. We canceled, but were still charged for memberships. After two unhelpful calls and a visit to the gym in person we still have not received refunds, and only one of us have received an email saying the membership was canceled.

I drove over from Huntsville to visit the gym. I met Gator and a few of the staff at a bodybuilding show earlier this month in Huntsville. The staff was outstanding. The young man at the front counter was able to answer all of my questions, and helped me with the purchase of several T-shirts and coffee mugs. The gym equipment was excellent. I really enjoyed my visit today

I have been to several gyms throughout the U.S., and Gator Fitness has far exceeded my previous experiences when comparing costs of membership to the value given by the gym.

Pros:
- Many machines to choose from
- Very clean gym
- Variety of classes (included)
- Tanning beds (included)
- Clean locker rooms with partitioned showers
- Staff is very friendly, and willing to help

Cons:
- Hard to reach on the phone
- No more excuses to not work out

Amazing Atmosphere, New & Modern Equipment. I have been dreading joining the gym but after seeing a exciting and motivating place to workout. No wait unlimited tanning, worth the money just to tan. Offer many classes, music to workout by and more. Personal trainers, which I get a 1 1/2 free training for joining. I think that's great so they can show me all this equipment. I definitely give Gator Gym 5 Stars!!

After doing a 30 day trial, I was unable to start the membership just due to the fact the group fitness classes being at the same time I would go to the gym. I was never told I would be charged if I did not cancel the membership. On the Monday after the trial ended, I was charged. So I called just thinking it was an error and they refused to refund my money. Not professional at all about the situation. I loved the gym but after that I will never step foot in another Gator Fitness! Make sure if you use the trial to ask questions to be sure!
