I have been a member since I moved in next door when I moved to Alabama, and have worked out in many different gyms around the US to preface.
Let’s start out with the negatives. The cleaning crew, and a few mangers before the current one, and the current manger are the people to thank because without the effort put in, the gym would be a mess. And it is a mess, that they are more than happy to help with (unfortunately for them)! The current manger, because it is true about the mangers never lasting long, is a nice young man who basically works a nine to five for the owner who is more than happy to never be available, disrespect his various staff in many different ways, run off each manger after they cannot take it anymore, and does not care about broken equipment, lack of supplies (that is a selling point for the weirdly high monthly fee), lets the bathrooms be broken until he feels like getting around to it, i could honestly keep going, but I’ve said my peace. He also didn’t care when a violent man (who hasn’t been seen since the altercation) threatened his last manger he ran off, who was a woman and had to call her husband so she felt safe to leave the building! Crazy work if you are supposed to be the owner?
Let me also mention the few positives! This is a gym that i have gone to basically everyday and at all different hours of the day and felt safe, supported, and as a woman, never really uncomfortable! The people that attend this gym are normally very kind and chatty at will, it makes for a good workout environment!
The machines are… eh, at this point in the gym world, maybe a tad outdated. Although you can get a fantastic pump if you know what you’re doing!
Also, the tanning bed sucks.

Just joined and i love this place. Smaller than the commercial gyms with much less members, very nice bathrooms and showers, an awesome massage chair, and all the floor space and machines you could need.

My friends and I all love gfg!
It is kept clean and love the free coffee and great bathrooms with nice showers. They provide clean towels as well. The equipment available is plentiful including a heavy bag for boxing and even a small climbing wall!

The manager does a great job. She cultivates relationships with the clients and is at the gym every weekday. She is always there taking an interest in the clients progress and offering encouragement.
It is nice walking in to a smile every day.

In honest words, this place has fallen down a lot. Weights are not put back, equipments are scattered throughout the floor. Not that it is in season to tan but the tanning bed has been closed for over 7 months now. As someone stated, the managers come and go. The current manager is awful and lazy. The few times I have came in, there is always explicit music videos on the tv screen so that says a lot about a person who “cares” for their job.

This gym is a very quiet atmosphere and the manager is available by phone even when she’s not in the office. They even let you cancel over the phone which most gyms refuse to do (and some still continue to charge).

Unfortunately this gym didn’t have the equipment I was looking for after working out a few times so I had to cancel, but if this gym has what you need 10/10 would recommend.

The gym itself is very nice. Clean, pretty empty, free coffee, showers, tanning bed, etc. I have been a client at GFG for several years now and they have NEVER had a competent manager. Get ready for a new manager every few months. Communication is always a struggle and the manager is usually MIA. Good gym, unfortunate staff.

I have been a member of GFG since 2013 and have loved going there. I am 73 years old and have been a member of several gyms over a period of 48 years. GFG is by far my favorite in every way. This gym offers access 24 hours every day, high quality equipment, cardio machines with TV for individual control, free tanning, massage chairs, easy parking, and a clean and safe environment. The gym is never over crowded which allows for safe distancing which is especially good during this pandemic, and very seldom you have to wait to use equipment. Our new manager is great and takes care to provide a pleasant environment. If you are looking for a first class gym, check out GFG, you will be delighted!

The gym is a fantastic gym! The new manager is absolutely one of the most personable people, and has bent over backwards making everyone feel welcome. She is 180 degrees from a previous manager that garnered several negative reviews. All of the other members I have spoken with are very exited to have her on board. She is going above and beyond making sure the place runs smooth and clean. The gym now allows you to check in through their app.
