if you want to use a different payment method on your due date and your old one doesn't have funs they will nonstop be charging you with fees on top of fees

to cancel you have to pay for an additional 2 months in advance...

you can't cancel in the gym you have to do it online

Large spacious workout area with lots of machines and free weights. Probably 20 Life Cycle treadmills, the same number of ellipticals and stationary bikes. I've never had to wait for cardio equipment and never seen them full even during busiest times. Staff always greets you when you enter and tells you goodbye. They have a separate room where they hold fitness classes. They also have good wifi so you can listen to your music. They do have a smoothie bar, but I've never tried it. Same for tanning and supplements. They also have great trainers you can hire to guide you if you need that. Overall a great gym with great staff that keeps it clean.

When you sign up for a membership at Gym Time in Alabaster, you get treated like royalty - everyone is so nice and helpful, and they seem like they are going to cater to your every desire. The gym has a lot of machines and weights, and when people actually wipe down the equipment, it is a really nice place to work out. Then, you have a financial situation, health issue, or move away from the area...

Then, they refuse to help you cancel your membership if you're physically at the gym...and they hand you a slip of paper with instructions on it to cancel online so they can passively charge your account for another two months PLUS a maintenance fee. "It was all in the agreement you signed" - no one ever anticipates having health issues, economic hardships, or in some cases, having to move out of state at a moment's notice. So, they'll ask for your card number (again) and continue to charge you for two more months...but you'll "still have access to the facilities during this time." Nope, not able to commute 4 hours for a gym session - can't tell these people that though. But, just rest assured that they "hate to lose you"...even though they don't know who you are, since you are basically just a number with financial backing attached. They never even cared enough about you to see why you stopped showing up in the first place...

Its a good place to train mainly because its economic ($15). Staff is good, equipment is ok but limited. It gets overcrowded quite often as it is a small place. Needs more set of Calf Machines as its a bodypart that is hard to target. Agree with someone else's review that it has too many treadmills and not enough free weights. Overall decent and economic. I've heard the cancellation fees are a disaster.

I want to counter some of the other recent reviews. 1, This gym is awesome they have at least 1 of everything. 2. The staff is so nice 3. The people that workout are awesome .4. You don't get all the student athletes taking selfies and scrolling on machines you need to use.

The cancelation process and fees are thoroughly explained and unlike other gyms that have you half hazardly go online to sign your forms you actually sign a small paper that tells you all that info so you've actually read it.

The cancellation process is horrible. They keep directing me to a "cancellation form"... the form does not exist. They will not link the cancellation form the website has no where to cancel period. the APP has no way to cancel . I still have not cancelled my membership because i can not cancel it. do not purchase this membership

I love Gym Time and I have for years now. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There is plenty of equipment to use in the main Gym, as well as a separate building with even nicer equipment, for VIP members. They have a smoothie bar and many options for protein or pre workouts at the front desk area. There are lockers for use while you are there, or you can rent one for permanent use. The gym is always clean and well maintained. I've never had any problems with other gym-goers being rude or unfriendly either. All in all, I love my gym and don't plan on switching any time soon.

I’ve been at gym time for over a year now and I have never been disappointed. The equipment is clean, the staff is beyond friendly and so are the other gym goers. I either go by myself or with my boyfriend, and we are able to complete our workouts without having to wait for weights or cables. If you are in this area, this is definitely a gym that you should check out!

Nice gym, spacious, and clean. They have a small grocery store in the front. Convenient for throwing together a quick dinner after a workout if you need to. Bathrooms are clean and smell good. Protein shake bar and you can even order your drink before your workout so that you will have it upon leaving. Your debit card can be saved on file as well so you dont have to bring it inside for safety purposes. The only thing that kept me from rating it a five star, is that the ladies up front didn't seem to fit the gym atmosphere. They were very quiet and didn't seem to fancy small talk.

I do not recommend this establishment, For one with everything going on with the COVID19 virus they are closed and still charge monthly so I cancelled and they charged $29 and then charged me the next month again! They don’t care about people struggling, also they do not enforce any cleaning when you have multiple young men using equipment and employees watching and being friendly they do nothing to enforce good hygiene. The size has now been outgrown by the amount of memberships they have signed up, again, they do not show they care about anything other than taking your membership dues.
