Absolutely the best gym in the Auburn/Opelika area. A supportive, non judgmental environment where you are challenged and pushed to your full potential. J makes sure to correct your form and make modifications where appropriate. He will also push you if you need more of a challenge. This is exactly what I’ve been looking for and more. As a former athlete with several knee surgeries, it was super important for me to find a trainer who could manage the balance of kicking my butt in workouts but also modifying things when needed. Jerrell is that guy. He is knowledgeable, kind, and gets to know (and care) about his clients. I have to move for work and am absolutely crushed I won’t be able to keep working with him in person, but if you’re considering getting a personal trainer, this is the best one Auburn has to offer! Just a really solid dude with a very holistic approach to health. From the workouts themselves, to helping you with eating habits, to being sensitive to your mental health, you can’t go wrong with J. I have absolutely loved training with Jerrell over the past almost 6 months. He is great at what he does. At the first visit, I mentioned that I sometimes have knee issues that would prevent me from working out. In the past I would workout, get injured, and stop working out. I must say that I have not had an injury yet training with Jerrell. In fact, I think he has strengthened my knee, kind of like what physical therapy may do. I feel stronger physically and more committed to training knowing that I have someone expecting me to be at my session.

I’ve had a lot of fitness/personal training throughout my life, and Jerrell is hands-down the best. He is genuine, super uplifting, and also tough (which is so important in a trainer). I’ve known J for years and so I’ve always known the pride and joy he takes in his work. After quarantine my girlfriend needed motivation and someone to help her get back in shape. Jerrell is a top notch guy. Was lucky enough to train with/get to know him at some local gyms in Auburn. You would be hard pressed to find a guy more dedicated to his work. Both on a client level and personal level, Jerrell is invested. Very knowledgeable as a personal trainer because he lives the fitness lifestyle day in and day out. Through conversations with Jerrell, I've also come to learn how knowledgeable and helpful he can be in aiding in your mental fitness, which is a huge piece of everyday success. So all in all, I couldn't recommend Jerrell more highly.
