NADC has given our daughter the BEST experience. The staff is seasoned and professional, yet still have that small town care and hospitality. The instructors are incredible dancers that lead with excellence and push the girls to be the best dancers, while still caring for their well being as growing individuals. We have appreciated their ability to hold the tension between choreography that excels at competition but does not compromise the integrity of the dancer. They really do live up to their reputation…the best in Huntsville!

My daughter is now 7 and has danced there since she was 3. I would highly recommend to anyone with small children. They make sure all dances are age appropriate. They also make sure all costumers are age appropriate. After experiencing competitions that is not always the case with young dancers. We are very thankful for every teacher we have had. My daughter has LOVED everyone that she has taken classes from. Class act in all way coming from this dance studio!

Be careful, when enrolling your children into their program. If you/ your child don’t look the same as them you will be treated differently. Also if your children have any developmental difficulties (autism, adhd etc.) DO NOT consider them! They are NOT inclusive! My daughter started dancing with them the summer after her 3rd birthday, I chose them because I danced with them as well as my older sister danced here as well. I held a lot in over the years, due to the fact that my daughter enjoyed going to this dance center. They have their picks, and favorites. The only way to be treated better is by throwing more money at them, w/ private lessons. One of my younger daughters has autism, and I was told that she was being disrespectful- due to her freezing up and not moving, which she only did with this particular teacher( who so happens to be the owner/ family). They don’t have patience, that they should with the younger group that are learning how the dance thing works. Some teachers yell at the girls during class, or say smart remarks while teaching. My daughter has cried when she heard that because of a injury that resulted from dancing, caused her to have to stay back with elementary schoolers while she is well in to her middle school career, and this wasn’t the first time that it happened. I might also like to add that my daughter is a dark skinned African American girl, that is a bit heavier than the other girls her age.

I hope that no other children have to experience the emotional trauma that my daughter had to experience! I really hope that they get better and become better since these are children!

We have been at NADC since my daughter was just about to turn 3 and she is now 9. We have enjoyed dancing with this studio for the past 6 and a half years. As modesty has become almost non-existant among the dance world, NADC takes pride in their values and makes sure the girls are dancing and dressing appropriately. After attending a recent dance competition, I was appauled at the type of dancing and attire of ALL the other studios we were exposed to. I am proud to say that my daughter dances at a studio that has her best interest at heart.

NADC is the premier dance school in Huntsville. They are the best of both worlds - a competition school that is strong in the basics. After the first few years of basic classes, the kids have to audition to move up. Excellent use of costuming and props and FANTASTIC choreography. No wonder they often sweep the dance competitions!

They have recently redecorated, so their facilities now look as stellar as their reputation. Classes fill up quickly, so register as early as possible if you want to enroll!

NADC has been a part of our family since 1985. Not only did I dance there for 15 years, but both my daughter and son now take there. They have amazing teachers and provide an amazing dance education. The recital each year is the best in town. It is not just a bunch of dance numbers, but it is run like a professional show. I also appreciate that I never have to worry about my daughter being dressed too skimpy, the costumes are always appropriate!

Our daughter has been attending NADC for 4 years. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff and teachers and the knowledge and passion they have for dance! This studio is impeccably run and very organized so you know exactly what to expect for the whole year when classes begin. They’ve been open for 35 years and it’s no wonder why! Best dance studio around. They accept every child and make them feel welcome. My daughter is a plus size dancer and they have never made her feel uncomfortable or unwelcome. They believe everyone can dance and gives them every opportunity to do so. This is the best place for a young lady to learn dance and learn life skills. For our daughter, what started out as a fun weekly activity with cute little tutus, turned into a full blown passion for the art of dance. North Alabama Dance Center excels at teaching their students this beautiful form of art, but it's more than that. They do it in a way that the discipline for dance carries over into the classroom and in life in general. Not only has dance taught our daughter to be a hard worker, the studio has become like a second home for her - a place where she is given grace and love, yet is challenged to be a better dancer and human.

NADC is a great dance studio. I highly recommend it. The teachers are focused on making sure the dancers have a amazing time and also make sure they learn. My experience here has been great and I hope I come here till the day I graduate. Every dance competition I've been to we've done very well. Our family is very supportive of each other. They never leave anybody out to say congrats too. Even if they're competing against eachother they say good luck and congrats. You should come to Northern Alabama Dance Center.
