I travel all over the US for work and look forward to a clean gym to workout at, and Planet Fitness has given me that until my visit here. This place is a mess! The floor is dirty. The mirrors looks like they were wiped with a greasy rag, and some the equipment is worn out, and out of place. The men's looker room is disgusting. Trash all over the place and a dirty towel that looks like it has poop on it was just left out in the open. I will not be returning to this location.

I've been to over 300+ planet fitness locations and never once have i gone to a planet fitness that closes its doors at 7pm on the weekend. If this was my home gym I would be demanding my money back. How pathetic of the owner to make the hours unreasonable. One star for bad hours also only one working toliet and the water in the water fountain is luke warm. Stay away!!!!

I decided to try this planet fitness despite the reviews. I went in and two workers were on their phone with their heads down and the third was having a conversation with a young lady who didn’t appear to be asking a business related question. When I approached to ask about the day pass the young man told me I needed to download the app. So I did and I went outside to get my ID bc that’s what it said I needed. So when I went back in he said you can just scan it no one said anything about a tour or if I had been here before, no need for an ID bc all of that info is inaccurate no need to mention a tour on the app bc your staff doesn’t offer one. I’m sure I could have asked but after seeing them I didn’t want to. So I walked around and I wanted to get on the elliptical machines so I went over to try and use one nothing happened went to another one to make sure I wasn’t crazy. I went to get a worker and she went with me as if she didn’t know none of them were working. So a whole section of them not working. I’ve been to other gyms and just have never experienced this. No the fees are not as high as other gyms but I just ended up leaving bc you have workers who are not working they are there to play on the phone and get a pay check. Homewood location to be exact so there isn’t any confusion.

I have encountered more employees here who are just there doing the minimum than who are hard working and attentive. Corey is excellent and always pleasant to deal with. He’s a keeper!

Today, the two young staff members at the counter were so into their phones that I was an inconvenience to them. One, sitting on the counter, chin in her hand, barely looked up when I walked in. The other… was playing a game on his phone and CONTINUED to look down and play it in between asking me what he needed to get my tanning appointment set.

I had to wait for both the tanning bed and the massage bed to be programmed and start, when normally they’re up and ready by the time I get to them.

There have been a few times I’ve had to Inform the staff that their bottles of cleaner were empty,. This shouldn’t be the case if they’re just standing or sitting around playing on their phones.

As I left, neither one of them looked up from their phones to give their usual “have a good day” or whatever.

I’ve cancelled my membership. Partly because I haven’t been using it enough. But also, this the location that is most convenient to me and the service is lacking

I’m a truck driver so parking is first concern and here you need to park in the back and walk, nobody messed with me. Showers didnt really get hot, water fountain wasn’t cold, changing room looked like it had excessive amounts of trash (months worth in my opinion), everything else was normal. I’d come back but I just couldn’t give it the five stars unfortunately.

COMPLAINT. 06/14/25. —It is quite disrespectful to customers to start turning off the bathroom lights at 6:45 pm… if employees want everything done 15 minutes before closing, then Planet Fitness SHOULD pay them to stay until 7:15 pm.

If a business has a closing time of 7 pm, they cannot start rushing people out in the final minutes.

It is not pleasant to shower or get dressed with the bathroom lights turned off.

This location will do because it’s close to my house. However this is one of the dirtier PF’s I’ve been to. It’s very dusty and I’ve looked at the same wad of hair on the floor for the last week or more. The employees are always on their phones or leaning when there is a lot of cleaning they could be doing.

Was 5 stars, but in the last several months they swapped to the less absorbent brown paper towels instead of the white ones. They also recently swapped to using the foam hand sanitizer that leaves your hands sticky instead of the nice gel kind.

First time at this location. After a long day, nothing beats a relaxing hydro-massage. Does the body good! I feel rejuvenated, and the fresh hot shower put the icing on the cake.

Updated …. Fall 2022 . Trainers are no longer there . If there is a such thing as post Covid you can tell the dust the dog hair the cat hair . That just flies around everytime you work out walk use the cable machines . If I even forget for a second an touch my face or my arms are out hives . Before Covid I don’t remember the machines , cable machines , cable weights none of it being filled with dust . I see them dusting I think it’s for show . Also they should bring the trainers back it kept the creepy guys who’d sit behind you staring at you . or the lude comments didn’t exist not in your ear reach at least . So great to workout bathrooms are still clean . For the membership fee dusty , dog hair ,cat hair shouldn’t exist lol 39.99 for a gym that’s dusty and not 24 hours well let take my sneezing self back to my reps

Just started my nomadic life and Planet Fitness membership is a big part of that. This was my first on the road trip so my first PF away from home base, and it was super nice! This location employs people who want to work and assist clients. They clean and walk the floor during their shift unlike other PF locations that I've been to where employees are sitting on the counter tops and unwilling to assist. I am grateful for this location as I pass two other PF locations to utilize this one. Kudos to management for being rockstars at this location because we all know that keeping a great team starts with amazing managers! The only thing that could make PF as a whole superior is to offer 24/7 or even to offer the same extended hours from the weekdays on the weekends.

I love planet fitness, they have all the equipment I need, the only problem I have is When u missed 1 payment , they want to hammer you and when will they be receiving it. It wasn’t like that before.
