Planet fitness overall a good gym equipment usually works and never crowded! However don’t ask too use the tanning bed unless you have been 24 since your last confession! Lol i tried to get a bed 30 minutes before the 24 hours was up and I almost got a ticket lol I mean these people are serious About the 24 hour rule! I couldn’t believe it I asked for a stand up bed and the young lady behind the counter looked at the computer screen in front of her and grabbed the phone looked at me and with most serious face said sir you have to wait 30 minutes before you can get in the tanning bed’ I just want to say while I’m thankful for your concern for my health and such I don’t think 30 minutes would change my life that much I’m 50 years old I think I will be ok to go in 30 minutes early! lol 🤷🤷‍♂️ but the rules are the rules and too the young lady behind the counter good job ! Integrity is important 😉

The Enterprise location, got new equipment and in so doing, got rid of some very good machines. Don't understand who makes the decisions here but, they don't make much sense. Only one of the most popular machines. If you want to use the leg press, forget about it as it's always occupied. Glad they have 10,000 aerobic machines in which no more than 20% are being used at one time. All that room wasted when there could be more of the more common and popular machines. I mean this place just doesn't seem like it's run by anyone who has a clue about working out. Other than that, staff is great and facilities are clean.

I have been to planet fitness's all over the US. In comparison this one is okay Not spectacular but good. Shower curtains were pretty gross and one of the showers had no hot water. Had the old configuration of showers separate from dressing rooms which is inconvenient but understandable because that's the way it used to be. It was clean and the people were nice That's a huge plus.

This location is a perfect place for a good workout. If you need cardio they’ve got you covered. There are plenty of machines to go around and it’s never over crowded. I enjoy a full body workout between the free weights, machines and dumbbells. I highly recommend the Planet fitness program f Dothan for a great experience. The staff is always outstanding as well.

Employees always smoking weed outback really rude and not helpful what so ever, I guess not many other choices but find a better place to go work out then this. As a longtime member of Planet Fitness, I have always enjoyed lifting here. The staff is friendly and the equipment/weights are well maintained. However, the bathrooms are out of order quite often. As much as I hate to change gyms, I can’t workout in a place with inconsistent access to toilets. Do better PF.

Do not ever get a membership here unless you want to be a member for life! They leave no option to cancel your membership except to go in person. You can start a membership from the app but cannot end it in the app or online. They even charged a credit card that I did not give them, when I stopped payment when they refused to cancel my membership unless I showed up in person. The space at the Dothan Planet Fitness is utilized quite nicely. There are plenty of cardio machines including 10 stair climbers. A lot of the resistance machines have 2 of the same type of machine, so that a customer does not have to wait their turn to use that particular machine. There are also plenty of smaller areas with special equipment, nice mats, and weights to perform more individualized workouts and stretching. In addition, the ceiling is high, so it feels more spacious. There is also plenty of floor space to perform exercises like farmers carry or lunges. The 6 Smith machines are plentiful to do a variety of compound exercises. The staff is nice and is always keeping the equipment and floor clean.

They recently put in some new cardo machines, treadmills, stationary bikes, ellipticals. Then they completely broke down the 30 min circuit, put those machines out in the gym and removed the steppers. They replaced that area with a few free weights, not sure why.
The stationary bikes are way too closely placed. There are only 4 recumbent bikes, and the ARC trainers have disappeared (these were a favorite). However, they have increased stair steppers from 3 to 10! Odd, since these don't seem to be well utilized. I like Planet Fitness, but I'm not a fan of this new arrangement; it doesn't seem to make much sense. Maybe a focus group or a utilization assignment could have been helpful to guide purchasing decisions. The treadmills are definitely an improvement. Thanks

When you need to use the deep-tissue massage chairs, you have to ask someone at the desk, and they put the coins in for you. I respect this procedure, however when the staff kinda rolls their eyes and doesn’t say a word to me, and proceeds to start the chair before I have a chance to wipe it down and sit in it, I have a problem. I understand people have bad days, but that’s not a way to treat someone.

The management of Planet Fitness Dothan is Outstanding. I've been to many Planet Fitness Gyms nationwide: Wall and Brick Township, NJ, Lexington, VA, Vero Beach, Panama City, Tallahassee, FL and many Premium Gyms costing $100 a month. Planet Fitness Dothan beats them all, Why? The complimentary Management Team, Milli and her Assistant Manager, Keshia. They are inspiring to watch, they lead by example, they don't tell their employees what to do, they show them. They never ask an employee to do anything they themselves would not do. If something is broken at the Gym, they're on it right away. One day someone damaged the shower in the Physically Challenged shower in the Men's Locker Room and I mentioned it to Keshia. The very next day it was fixed and working better than new. Another example, Milli was not satisfied with way the Front Door of the Gym wasn't closing correctly. The next day she had the repair man there putting in a new door which took him several hours to install but Milli was right there helping. Best of all, they've trained the staff to personally engage with all the people who use the Gym, all are very respectful and geniuinely caring about each person's lives and goals. Add on top of that, Planet Fitness Dothan is by FAR the cleanest Gym I've ever been to, the workers are always busy wiping down all the machines several times a day, floors vacuumed, cleaning bottles always full, treadmills always moved out and the floor cleaned underneath; I mean spotless. Hats off to Milli and Keshia, the BEST of the BEST as far as Managers in the Planet Fitness Chain. In appreciation for their dedication to making Planet Fitness Dothan the very Best in the whole Planet Fitness Chain, they should both be given an all expences paid trip to Hawaii or at the very least a significant raise. They are worth their weight in Gold and should be rewarded in some way for their loyalty to the brand, you don't find that anywhere in today's world.

****However, What is important to me at Planet fitness is a clean HOT shower. This one had polar showers and two of the four were not working properly. They did appear clean. Maybe because locals do not shower here because they know they produce only ice water

Facilities are nice, well kept and clean. None of that is the problem. The problem is the predatory billing practices. This company is completely focused on not letting you cancel your membership. The core business seems to be billing members accounts and their side business is gyms. I moved 2 hours from the location I joined and finally had to drive to the location in person to cancel the damn membership. Funny you can join online but you can’t cancel your membership online. Oh btw, they have been sued several times over this kind of nonsense.
