If I could give zero stars, I would. I subscribed to Planet Fitness on sale in January 2024, but my bank was charged over the amount I agreed to. Now, they are demanding that I pay $200 plus a cancellation fee.
I have only been to the gym twice due to health issues.
I am extremely dissatisfied with Planet Fitness. They are deceptive and prioritize profit over customer satisfaction. The customer service is inadequate and provides no assistance.
If you plan to pay for a subscription that fluctuates monthly and then become trapped unable to cancel, Planet Fitness is the ideal gym for you.

This is a great facility for strength training and relaxation. The whole gym area is kept pristine and spotless. Members are courteous to one another but the staff are the real stars. Kaleb was very thorough in explaining and touring the facility. Every staff member I encountered was smiling and ready to assist! Thank you PF for a great gym in Foley . Also they had partnered with the the Boys and Girls Club agency to raise and support our local youth! W2Go!

I canceled my membership in June and was informed that a refund for the auto-withdrawn dues would be processed within a month, as only the owner is able to issue refunds. It has now been over three months, and I have yet to receive the refund. Each time I call, I am told the same explanation—that the owner is very busy managing multiple Planet Fitness locations and other businesses. While I understand that schedules can be demanding, this should not prevent timely resolution of a straightforward refund. The lack of follow-through and accountability has been disappointing, and I would encourage future members to be aware of these challenges before signing up.

Not happy with this Gym. Equipment has been broken for over 6 months now! The bathrooms are enough to make anyone sick. The toilets only get cleaned once a month and the staff would rather play on their phone then do their job! The tanning beds are disgusting and always broken. Not happy and not recommending this place to anyone. I will be going to the Daphne PF. Unless the Foley PF makes some serious changes. Sorry to sound negative, but truth is truth and people need to know.

Just had to cancel my black card membership, every time I get in tanning both they have bulbs out, they always say there going to fix them and never do. Just got put in booth 6 that 15 bulbs out in it. You have cut the hours, when I joined it was 24/7. Now the hours are crap, the back card i signed up for was a 24 hour gym. You drop the hours but you dont drop what I have to pay. And of course there is no manager there. 9 in the morning and no manager and the things going on in men's locker room is disgusting....I want my yearly charge of 50 bucks returned to me. Come on people can't we do better than this for your customers. Just simple maintenance issues and yall can't fix them..I will be pursuing further action against this location for not vetting people. whats going on in there gym behind the scenes is ridiculous....nasy

Hit this location while on vacation in Orange Beach. I only used the cardio/gym offerings at this location, but the equipment was clean, plentiful, and in good working order. It is larger than my home Planet Fitness, which is a plus, but I think it opens at 7am on the weekends, which is an hour later than my normal gym. I only worked out in the morning here and it was fairly busy. Gym members here seemed respectful of others and were diligent about wiping down equipment after use. The staff seemed friendly and they were plentiful during the hours that I attended.

So I started going to this Planet fitness in Foley, AL this week and tanning, the gym equipment is the same as most planet fitness gyms have, but the tanning beds look like they never open the plexiglass and vacuum them ir qupe the inside down, so I took some pictures and asked the lady at the front desk how iften they cleanthe beds, her reply was yesterday we didn't clean them because we only had 2 people tan, all day you only had 2 people tan? I call bullshit and I also call bullshit that she said they clean the beds 2x a day, they might clean the outside 2x a day, but ain'tno way your taking off the plexiglass 2x a day!! If they did they wouldn't look like they do! This is bed #4, the first time I tanned I was in bed #2 and it looked the exact same way, I didn't take pictures of bed 2 though, but every time I go in to tan from now on I will be taking pictures cause even if your only going for tanning @ $24.99 a month plus the $49.95 1x a year you should be getting a good tan if they just did their job!! Planet fitness in Hagerstown, MD where I'm from is the best Gym and tanning I've EVER been to!! They do what they're supposed to do within their job duties!! UPDATE: Just got hung up on by the manager Nick, he is very rude and said his staff is full trained and definitely do their jobs effectively, they're holding up that front desk very effectively!! This place is a joke, they dont care about you or what was said to you to get you to join like the other lady that just also wrote a review said, THEY'RE ALL ABOUT THE MONEY!! The planet fitness in Hagerstown, MD is top notch. So when I came to Alabama I was expecting the same from this gym, clean tanning beds and amazing staff I was VERY DISAPPOINTED to say the least!! I am a traveler and visit many PFs. That being said my review is a comparative analysis. Like many of these gyms this PF is in a strip mall. It appears that someone may have driven through one of the major windows in the front of the building and I’m hoping that will be addressed soon. Many of the machines are in need of repairs and perhaps updating the equipment is something they should consider. I always incorporate a mat work out -The floors are not vacuumed nor mopped -so much dust etc around and under equipment. Visibly there were several young people vacuuming the front, but I’m not sure if the equipment area is cleaned at all. The showers were clean and the water was hot. My only other comment about showering is that the water pressure is a trickle. This probably cannot be helped?

The gym is typically clean and the staff is friendly. My complaint is mainly about the PF Express room. I have two kids and I really need to be in and out of the gym quickly. The PF Express 30 minute workout is perfect for that. However, people are constantly not following the rules and hogging machines or sitting on their phones. The signs say the employees monitor it and that anyone who doesn't follow the rules will be asked to leave, but that doesn't happen unless you complain to the desk. I shouldn't have to ask the desk and I shouldn't have to ask people to move. When I ask people to move or when I have had to ask for employees to help I get dirty looks from the other gym goers and it's embarrassing. I no longer like going to the gym on the days I want to do the 30 minutes express.

When I have asked the employees to help they always do, it is just frustrating that there is nothing in place to be proactive about the problem. A start would be actively monitoring the room like they say they will or having a more blatant sign like other Planet Fitness locations.

I know this also happens on the main floor too, which is why I have stuck with the 30 minute express.

I think it's a good place. I go regularly at different times, and I found it's not that crowded. Certain are are busier, of course. I always receive help at the desk if I need any questions. Some equipment needs repairs, but I just move to something else. Tanning beds, booths, massage chairs, and hydro massage beds are a hit with me. Clean place and equipment I found most people to clean up after themselves.

I've been going for three weeks, and it's been a good experience. Every time I'm there, the gym and bathroom are clean. The staff seemed nice as they said hi and bye. My only two issues are that some equipment has been down for repair since I started, but there are backups or other equipment that does the same exercise. Another problem is that we are in snowbird season, so many retirees are working out on the weekend, and they like to sit and watch entire TV shows during their sets. Overall 5/5 Great gym for $10 a month. Highly recommend.

I previously rated this location five stars for the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness of the environment and the variety of equipment. I was attending as a guest and have since gained my own membership. And I have noticed things that I did not notice before. First the window advertises that it is open twenty four hours five days a week. This is not accurate. It is only open 24 hours 3 days a week. Unless someone calls out then they will be closed unexpectedly. This could be very inconvenient when you show up and it is closed with no notice. Equipment constantly has out of order signs on them and stalls in the women's restroom are out of order since before the holidays (its January now). Also, I was charged an annual fee after a singular week of having a membership. That's crazy that you get charged an annual fee when you have not been a member for a year, or even a whole week. That was very unexpected. I'm going to give this location a few more months to see if anything changes. If not I will have to go back to my previous gym, It's further away and more expensive but the quality is there . I will update again in a couple months!

This facility is always clean, the equipment in good working order, and the staff friendly and knowledgeable. The other day, I was leaving the Foley facility and my car wouldn’t start. A trainer at this facility, Dan, went out of his way to help me get my car started and get me back on the road. This was on Wednesday, October 11th, at around 3pm….The assistant manager and other staff members also were very helpful! Thank you ! Great bunch of young people! I was in the area visiting from NY and took advantage of my Black card membership and visit the Foley AL location and I was amazed by the size of the facility as well as space between treadmills, elliptical, and the machines. The crowd meter is terrible. You have 3 or 4 people waiting on every machine but yet 2 bars. Someone needs to get this fixed because it's far from accurate. “It’s Foley Alabama” —-JOHN COOK says as he told me I had to take my scooter outside and leave it unattended to have it charge.

Mind you—- I have been to multiple PF in multiple states— (over 50 locations) and not one person has ever givin me a hard time about charging my scooter. I don’t feel comfortable to leave my scooter outside to charge unattended even if it is “foley Alabama”…. He proceeded to tell me he would ban me after I told him no other location has ever had an issue. “Welcome to foley Alabama”- he said. I assured him I wasn’t going to ride it around inside as he laughed at me and said “it’s not my fault you ride a scooter”.

You’re right john- it’s not anyones fault but you’re making it a problem for no reason. He proceeded to tell me that I should stop talking or he would ban me from PF…….. what?! Why? Because you’re having a bad Monday? I didn’t come in here looking for anything but a charge and a good workout— and JOHN was not having it. If you sign up online they act like they don't know why you're there when you show up at the gym. You won't get a t-shirt either. Some of the staff need to be USING the gym instead of working there. Your mileage may vary, I did not like the signup experience.

This place is awesome man. The staff is super friendly, the machines are all well maintained, the bathrooms and showers are clean. I recommend the hydro massage table to everyone it's really cool.

24 hours for the price it can’t beat that. My previous gym wasn’t 24 hours and it cost about the same. I did like that it was pretty clean. Not that many people and I mostly only just run, use cardio. Will be coming here in the future. TVs are nice and nicer than my previous gym, less people as well which was nice.
