I’ve been a member for a few months now and I’m always very happy with the place. Always a friendly face to greet me and check in is breeze. Lots of equipment so you can always get a treadmill or whatever you want and the huge fans are the best! Always love my massage chairs and hydro beds after my workout so it’s a definite 5 star.

I can’t say enough awesome things about this incredibly affordable gym and its entire staff. I’ve been a member here for about a year now. I was extremely nervous about joining a gym; I was in my 20s when I last spent any real time strength training. Given I had developed a great deal of anxiety and depression over the past few years, I really struggled to develop any real consistency the first few weeks. However, with every visit, I was so eagerly welcomed and spoiled by Kate, April, Krissy, and Alex - that each visit became something I looked more and more forward to. In college, I worked at a variety of gyms, so I’m well aware of the gimmicks, tricks, and superficial front desk hospitality that you find at most of the big name gyms….but not Prattville Planet Fitness. No gimmicks or frills - $10 for the gym or $25 for it all. The place is always spotless. They’re constantly adding new equipment. The staff genuinely take the time to greet and get to know every client that I see walk through the door. I’ve never seen broken equipment, and I’ve never had to wait for anything - tanning, machines, weights. They literally have EVERYTHING and professional body builder could want in my opinion. I think what stands out most about Prattville PF (because I have inside of some other ones), are the people who work there. I could write an entirely separate but equally positive review for Kate, Krissy, and April. These ladies are tremendously uplifting, supportive, and kind. I’m super thankful for my gym peeps at PF!!!

I love everything about Planet Fitness, but most of all, the people who work there. I have visited other gyms throughout our area, and I have never experienced the type of hospitality that I experience at Planet Fitness. I love that there are no frills when it comes to the membership prices. No need to read in between the lines of the contract. Everything is straightforward and extremely affordable. The gym is always pristine, and I appreciate that they are always adding new equipment. However, my favorite thing about this Jim are the people who work there. April, Kate, and Krissy (sp?) are phenomenal at what they do. They go out of their way to speak and greet every single member. They remember everyone’s names, and greet everyone with a smile. They take time to start conversation and invest in the members as if they were part of a family. Thank you for hiring wonderful people! Please let them know that they are the reason that I work out there!

I love the great customer service I receive from Kate and Ella. They always greet people when they come in, and when the leave. Both of those young ladies make you feel like your family. I was in about a month and a half ago. I fell off the treadmill and fractured my left ankle. J was there by himself and helped my a lot. He put ice on my ankle. Two sweet ladies helped me into a chair. I owe all of them a BIG thank u.

The lighting and the space. The equipment is planet fitness standard but the space to move around was above average. The lighting and the aesthetics were different, not a game changer but noticeable. The large windows made for a nice view as well!

I Jeffery James was at the gym located in Prattville AL with my niece at approximately 2130 hours Thursday January 23 2025. We both headed to the treadmill after I checked her in as my guess. I walked away for approximately 1 minute and a female staff member walked up to my underage niece and told her she could not come back unless a balance was paid owed by her mother. As a black card member I can pick the guess I want to accompany me from my understanding. Your staff members should not ever approach my underage niece when she is by herself about finances. Approaching her after I step away is weird and creepy. I want apology to me her mom and her immediately. I will do everything in my power to make sure this does not happen again

I love this planet fitness. It’s usually not crowded at all between 6-8am which is when I usually go. All of the equipment is in good working order and the whole place is extremely clean. The front desk staff are also nice/welcoming. The changing facilities and showers with changing stalls are a must for me as I usually leave from there and go to work. The shower facilities are nicer than an average gym, with individual showers with curtains. Highly recommend this gym.

I’ve been a member of Planet Fitness for years now, and I feel compelled to share my frustration with the ongoing treatment I’ve received. While the gym itself has great equipment and a decent atmosphere, I’ve consistently been singled out by staff for using my phone during workouts, despite noticing that many other members do the same without issue.

It’s become an uncomfortable pattern where, every time I use my phone I’m approached by a staff member only AT THIS PRATTVILLE LOCATION with some sort of comment or reminder about phone usage. Meanwhile, I’ve observed others in the gym, sometimes even in the same area, using their phones without any interference. It feels unfair and, frankly, demoralizing.

I understand that gyms often have policies regarding phone use, but if this is the case, it should be consistently enforced across the board, not just applied to certain individuals. It’s hard to feel like a valued member of a gym when I’m constantly singled out, especially for something that isn’t an issue for others.

I’d love to see more consistent and fair treatment of all members, with clear communication on phone policies that are applied evenly. Until then, I’m left questioning whether this gym is truly the right place for me.

I've been a Member at Planet Fitness since 2016 and I decided to visit the planet fitness in Prattville AL. It's a cool gym the atmosphere is nice. We'll I'm not a member anymore because people complain to management that I was making them feel uncomfortable. I think 🤔 it shouldn't say Judgement free because nobody knows me in that planet fitness. Now I'm barred from every planet fitness in the world 🌎. I was invited to that gym and after 5 days of working out there, my membership was canceled. I only went there to use the device below.

Don't bother! My 18 year old daughter has gone to this gym with other members, friends, no issues in the past. Today, when she arrives, they take her picture, drivers license, and then state that she can't enter as she's not 19. Policies clearly state on the wall, and websites 13-17 must have signed permission. This is ridiculous, I said go to a gym that wants your business and money.

I am not a gym person at all. I usually work out at home with my dumbbells. However, I needed to increase my weights and joining the gym was the easiest & most effective way to do so. I joined PF in Pville and I have been going for about a month now. The front desk staff was helpful day 1 and they are helpful to this day! I haven't had any issues with the app and I like that it tells you how busy it is throughout the day. I love the amount of open space, even when it's crowded, it doesn't feel like it. It's always clean and there are paper towels and disinfectant stations throughout the facility. One thing that stuck out to me was that I received a survey about my feedback at PF and once I submitted it, the manager called me to discuss my feedback. I was not expecting that at all! Kudos for the top tier customer service!!!

My wife went today for new enrollment. The 2 persons at the Front desk insisted that she MUST give them a Valid Bank account number and the Routing number. Seems very Fishy. My wife did provide the bank details because these 2 guys will not let her complete the enrollment without bank details. These 2 guys got things to explain.

As soon as we walked in to check in my fiancé card didnt scan because the auto pay didnt take it. April then informs us that he didnt have money. We told her that we do have money in that account and that we will go ahead and use the guest pass on my phone and figure out the payment after our workout because were not from here. She informed us she is corporate and that not going to do. April informed us that she needs to sort this out now. Well it took about 30 minutes for her to say “oh yes we will connect to your bank account” my fiance told her that ge doesnt want to connect and she said to bad. We asked if she could just cancel his membership and we would sign back up. April said nope because she is corporate. Later i went back up to the front to get water and to pay through my account. April informed me i couldnt get the water because she is corporation and my account wont scan so no. I told her that this isnt the only corporate location ive been to and that ive never had this problem at any other corporate location before. April was like oh well then i guess you can try it but its not going to work because were corporate. I will never come back to this location again because whats the point of having a black card membership if every little thing you try to do one member (April) says nope sorry corporate It was ridiculous 0/5

Did not like the idea of young men cleaning women’s restroom while open for business. I have been in there several times while a young male employee was in there.
Also customers are allowed to wear shorts up to their butt cheeks, which should be unacceptable. I mentioned this to staff and they informed me that they could not do anything.

It was clean and the people were kind. I really wish they would change the shower setup so the dressing room is attached to the shower and there are dry dressing rooms for people not using the showers. The new planet fitness's have them this way and I guess we have been spoiled because it is awesome.. also ours has a scale which is very convenient since we don't own one at home and don't want one there. You obviously don't have to use the scale if it's available but it's nice if you want to. All that being said it was a decent planet fitness. And we travel a great deal so we see a lot of them.

Honestly, a decent place has the basics and some variety. However, if you're a body builder or just using heavy set weapons. This is not the place to work out. There are no free barbell racks or bars. it's all assisted, and the dumbells only go to 75 lbs. The gym is like 70% cardio filled with bikes, stair master, treadmills, etc. Good for those just looking to lose weight, not build muscle.
