I've always been skeptical about joining a gym for various reasons, but after visiting several, I decided to join Southern Muscle and Fitness. This is by far one of the best decisions I've made in a while. Beau, the owner, is awesome and always so helpful. I love the family atmosphere and how everyone is so willing to help. If you are looking for a gym home, you can't go wrong with Southern Muscle and Fitness.

To cancel my membership subscription i should inform 30days prior and should pay for the month which I'm already been cancelled for. Fun-fact: no prior information about cancellation will be told to you. When asked about this, the customer support will send you an email of the terms and conditions which we agreed upon.
Great! Apart from this the whole experience is good though. This one inconvenience spoiled the entire experience here.

Amazing gym with a lot of amazing equipment. The gym is very nice and has a variety of equipment. I also had a personal trainer workout with the owner Beau and he is an amazing trainer. If you are looking to workout but need some help I would recommend this gym and to workout with Beau because you will learn a lot.

Best gym in Montgomery!! Great gym culture. It has any kind of equipment you could want or need. The owner is a good dude. Lots of body builders work out here, I’m a woman who isn’t a body builder and I feel safe and welcomed in the gym at all hours. 5 stars, no complaints!

Drove to Montgomery, Alabama to meet my business partners. We were all about 4 hours away from our respective homes. We drove to Amped Fitness, arriving at 11:45 so that the staff could let us in at noon on Saturday, as the door had signs on it and members informed us. We waited until 1 PM, but no one showed up. As a business owner and professional bodybuilder in the IFBB, I found this to be super unprofessional, which led me to Southern Muscle, where I spoke with the owner, who happened to be on vacation at the time. He was kind enough to take my call and understand my concerns, and he opened his gym immediately. I'm very thankful to Southern Muscle for letting us use their amazing gym. Highly recommend this gym and the good people that are in it

IF you're serious about your fitness and/or bodybuilding journey, don't make the same mistake I did and waste time at commercial gyms in the Montgomery area. I'm a federal Law enforcement officer and former athlete and I take may fitness very seriously. I moved to montgomery Al to take a promotion and was searching for a gym that fits my needs and found Southern Muscle Fitness. The owner Beau meet me gave me a tour of the gym. Let me start off by saying I grew up sporty, but never in a gym. I never really learned how to work out properly, but I wanted to join a gym in Montgomery. A friend recommended this gym to me, and I was hesitant because I thought it was a place for body builders and that I would be so out of place. That was not the case at all — the owner and members are so nice! They treat me like family here and they are helping me learn how to make the most of my workouts! I like that it doesn’t have the corporate feel and that you see the owner in there all the time (he is so upbeat and fun!). It’s open 24/7, never crowded, always clean, and guaranteed to have good music playing all day. 10/10 recommend!

Greatest gym I’ve ever belonged to! Nothing corporate about it. Staff treats you more like family than just a member. Tires in the back to flip, great equipment, always clean, and great people. 24/7 access, and great location. Great for all ages and people looking to do better themselves. I would highly recommend anyone to become a member at southern muscle under the NEW owner beau. I had a situation where I had canceled my membership and charges continued to come out of my account after I talked to the previous owner about my no longer attending.

Although Beau took over the gym back in July, he was fully understanding of the situation and although he did not HAVE to, he refunded me back a significant portion of the money I had lost with the previous owner due to there lack of communication with the vendor who withdrawals money from the accounts.

This owner genuinely cares about the members, it goes beyond a simple membership and a hello here and there! Charter and professionalism speaks volumes. THANK YOU AGAIN! ❤️

I worked out around 6am and i had a great experience. The Owner Beau really made the gym run like a family and make everyone feel welcome. Great equipment for Strength and cardio training. SQUAT racks, barbells, dumbells etc. Will def come back if in the area for work. A+++

Don’t sign up for this gym if your looking for somewhere to go short term. The owners and Paramount Acceptance make it extremely difficult to cancel your gym membership even though they said they could cancel it with no problem when signing up!

I was told that I was not locked into a contract when I originally joined. I filled out automatic draft information with no problems. I was told the set-up fees were to be waived and monthly charges were $29.95. The auto draft amounts are different most months ($29.95- $59.95) with absolutely no explanation for the difference. I figured because I cut the owners sons hair I would have been told the truth-Guess not.
So if you are into a gym with dated equipment, management that takes hours (or days to return a call), and inconsistent billing this is the gym for you!!
As for me-I can't wait to transfer my drivers license to PROVE to "Paramount Acceptance" billing company that I no longer live in Montgomery so they will stop drafting my account.
