Notified January 12 of cancelation, and charged again on February 10th citing a 30 day notice. I’ve never been able to quit this gym without being charged an additional month. The last time I had surgery and couldn’t continue. Ruthless with their memberships. I would recommend giving them a card that you put money on just before they withdraw so you control the last fee they sneak in.
Overall if you want to lose weight the HIIT workouts are great. The music and routine can get old but overall I lost weight while at this gym.

The personnel at Squad Fitness are very personable and friendly. However, I would caution anyone from joining or signing an agreement. Their 6 Week trial is a tramp! You MUST pay AND ATTEND four days per week. They don’t tell you if you miss ONE day it will void the 6 Week agreement and require you to pay for the entire year—whether you attend or not. These facts are buried in the fine print. They contract with National Acceptance Company to ENFORCE the contract with virtually NO way of getting out. I could not cancel EVEN after my doctor completed the form noting an injury and the issue it caused. They practically said they would FREEZE the payments and start back by the time I should be better. The only way to be CONSIDERED for canceling again would be to return to the doctor and get another form that their CLERKS would have determine is medically necessitated. In any cause, they say you must pay for the full year or they will send your account to collections!
I feel terrible that others tried them out Squad BECAUSE they saw that I had. Of course, Squad swears they have nothing to do with it; however, they still use NAC to entrap people with their strong arm business practices. I DO NOT RECOMMEND using them or any other gym associated with National Acceptance Company or such billing and collection companies.

Squad Fitness has been an excellent gym. I wake up every morning actually excited getting to go and work out. Doing this Drop 20 Challenge has been a real challenge but it’s been a heck of a lot of fun. Getting to meet new trainers and peers to workout everyday with as well is a lot of fun. I can truly say that Squad Fitness really is a big family. The trainers are gonna joke around with you and have a good time, but they will push your butt if you need to be pushed. I’ve had an excellent experience doing this challenge and have had a lot of success with it. After my challenge I look forward to getting up everyday just like a normal day and going to work out there. Most definitely a 5 🌟 in my book.

I'll update and add a more detailed review. This place is amazing. The workouts are hard but fun, the environment is friendly and encouraging, the coaches keep you motivated, and overall just a fantastic place. I 200% recommend this gym to anyone wanting a good workout and positive vibes!

I just completed the drop 20 challenge at Squad and I lost 20.6 lbs in 6 weeks. I love the people and the atmosphere here. If you need motivation just look to your trainers, if you need inspiration just look to your gym mates. Their are so many inspirational members here, too many to list. If you want a great gym this is definitely the place for you!

I am doing the drop 20 challenge going on the 5th week and I have already lost 19 lbs and still have 2 weeks to go, but not quitting there - I'm continuing and gonna get all this extra weight off. I love this gym!

I just completed my second round of the 6 week challenge and if I'm crazy enough to do it twice you know it must be worth it! The trainers are always great and are awesome at pushing you to do your best each time. Six weeks ago I felt stuck in my workout routine and was tired of doing the same thing each day. They make each workout so different and change it up so often I never got bored. It's way more fun to workout here plus there is so much accountability! I have met a lot of awesome people and have learned a lot this go around. Can't wait for the next workout 💪

Deciding to take the Drop 20 challenge was an easy one for me. I had seen other friend’s results and wanted to get in on it! Those six weeks flew by for me. It was not easy, but it is definitely worth it. All of the trainers I met have been super wonderful and helped me when I may need modifications for certain moves or to correct me when I do something wrong. I easily haven’t worked out in two years or so before this and it’s so new for me to actually enjoy working out. I did not lose 20 pounds but I did lose 11.3 pounds and it is still an ongoing process. I’m so glad to say I’m joining Squad as a member and making them a permanent part of my lifestyle change!

Choosing to take on the Drop 20 challenge was one of the best decisions I have ever made! Squad Fitness is a game changer in my weight loss and fitness journey. The workouts are full body workouts and something different everyday. But the best part of Squad is the group of trainers. They work with you to personalize your diet, schedule, and workouts. I am recovering a knee injury and they were able to modify my workouts so that I could not only workout safely, but in a way to help strengthen my knee back up. It’s called a challenge for a reason; it isn’t easy but if you FTDI then you will reach your goal. Excited to say that I lost 21.6 and joined Squad as a member!

Hi it’s Kristy! I went to Squad Fitness not really knowing what to expect. I was very impressed with the motivation I received from the coaches and did not feel pressured or intimidated. I love that everyone I work out with are just like me- moms, dads, grandparents- all just trying to live a healthier life. I started with the 6 week challenge and it was just the beginning I needed to start my weightloss. I lost 21.2lbs in 6 weeks. If you want a fun, non intimidating environment, I recommend you give Squad Fitness a try. Grab a friend and commit together!! You will not regret your decision!

I would absolutely recommend the Drop 20 Challenge that Squad fitness offers to any and everyone! This is a program that can be easily modified for all ages! I have had such success with it...I’m always skeptical of weight loss programs, but drop 20 has never disappointed me, if you put in the work you will succeed! For me being held accountable and setting small goals has proved helpful for me, all of which the challenge provides. The manager at Gardendale and the trainers are top notch! Always there to help modify a move for those who have issues and always there to motivate in a non-pushy way! Also, the people who are regular squad members and the other challengers are always, always, always friendly! And you don’t ever have to worry about judgment! Everyone there is there for one thing, and that’s to be a better version of themself! All around great gym family to be a part of! Thank you Squad fitness for all you do!

Absolutely loved the 6 week challenge. I lost 26.8lbs with the drop 20 challenge... and a challenge it was you have to stick to the plan and do what you are supposed to do. You wont regret it tho. They have fantastic trainers there to help you with workouts and questions about diet. I absolutely love them!

The Drop 20 challenge is one of the best discussions I have made on my weight loss journey. I lost 19.8 pounds on the challenge and 30 pounds since January. I never thought I would be able to do something that this, but I am so glad I have made this lifestyle change. Diet and exercise. I feel so good about myself that I am going to wear a two piece for the first time (I have been smaller before but never felt this comfortable with my body.) What can I say about Squad Fitness? I started with them for the Drop 20 Challenge. Sometimes I laughed, sometimes I cried, sometimes I got yelled at (with love, of course). It was a truly amazing experience. I loved it from day one even though I struggled the whole six weeks. I was always last and even on my final week of exercise, I almost quit because I was last again. Then there are the moments, when you realize that you are doing something that you couldn’t do when you started and that is an amazing feeling. The crew at Gardendale really care. I couldn’t tell you how many times the trainers came and sat down beside me and gave me heart to heart pep talks. They let me know that it is ok and all you have to do is push to be the best you can be. I lost my 23.2 lbs and would never have made it even halfway through if it wasn’t for the support of the trainers and all the new friends I made. I would highly recommend Squad Fitness to anyone looking for a fun way to workout and lose weight!!

I tell you that there are so many things I can say about Squad Fitness. They have the best trainers that will push you out of your comfort zone. You will be doing things that you never image you could do.
First of all I did the drop 20 when Romen first open up the building in Gardendale and I lost 17 pounds back then. I had been going back and forth about doing it again and I tell you it has been the best choice that I decided to make. I had not stop working out, but I also had not lost any weight. If you are truly looking to feel better, tone your whole body and lose weight you better get in on the next challenge which start on May 23rd. Do not put it off I promise you, you will not regret it.

Squad Fitness has changed my life!! Before I started the 6 week challenge, I was tired, and miserable with myself and my body. I constantly made excuses for why I couldn’t go to the gym, and why I could never make the challenge work for me. One day I had enough and I decided to do the 6 week challenge and it has been the best thing I’ve ever done for myself. In just 6 weeks, I’ve lost pounds, inches, and I’ve gained my confidence back. This challenge change my life so much in the short six weeks that I was apart of the drop 20 challenge. Not only did it change me physically but mentally I love going to workout each week. This challenge gave me an outlet for my stress other than running to food for comfort. The support of the staff was amazing as well they encouraged you and pushed you to do the best you can do. There is so much I could say about Squad Fitness Gardendale and the Drop 20 Challenge, but I'll sum it up by saying....AWESOME!! Even though I didn't lose 20lbs, I am so proud of myself for sticking to the challenge and pushing myself outside of my comfort zone. The atmosphere at Squad is unbelievably motivating!! The trainers work with you at your current fitness level, yet push you to be better and stronger during each workout. The challenge is over, but I'm continuing my journey with squad and looking forward to my continued progress and results! I've lost a few pounds (7.4lbs), lots of inches (particularly in my waist), I feel a difference in the fit of my clothes, I've been pretty consistent with drinking a gallon of water per day which has caused my skin to be much clearer, and I just feel much better and healthier overall! All these changes are a result of my journey at Squad! The classes are fast-paced and high intensity to keep you focused and motivated. I'm really looking forward to my Squad membership! I highly recommend them!

Squad fitness is a great place to workout. It does not have your conventional gym equipment or environment. Each workout is completed as a group with a trainer instructing you through each segment. The workouts are different each time you go, they are intense and fun all at the same time. They want you to succeed and encourage you to set fitness goals that are achievable for you. You are encouraged to give 100% at each workout and you tend to work harder when you know you have a cheering squad. I highly recommend you give Squad a try, I think you will love it.

Doing the Drop 20 Challenge has been a lifestyle changer for me! Going into the challenge I was nervous, but after the detailed orientation I knew it was something I wanted to do. The workouts are difficult, but so worth it in the end. When you are at Squad Fitness, you have an amazing support system, whether it’s from the staff, other Challengers, or members. It’s like one big family going for the same goal. When I started at Squad I was in serious need of a dedicated exercise regimen. All of the trainers are great and there is a welcoming atmosphere at every workout. Squad gave me the structure and encouragement I needed to be successful. The exercises are challenging, but still doable for someone who doesn't have much or any experience with fitness routines. Since I have been coming to Squad I have lost weight and feel stronger than I have in a long time. I plan on continuing my weight loss journey here and I can't wait to see where I end up. I know I will be able to reach my goals based on the experiences I've had so far. I would recommend Squad Fitness for anyone who is seriously looking to lose weight and/or build muscle, or just improve their health overall.

I cannot say enough Awesome things about Squad! It is so addicting!! I Just finished the drop 20 challenge, losing 21.6 pounds. It was so tough, but man, I am SO glad I did it! There were plenty of times where I felt like giving up, but I knew in the end it would all be worth it, and it really was! 21.6 pounds GONE. I never thought I would be motivated enough to lose weight and stick to a diet, And I come to Squad and I fall in love with it!! The trainers and staff truly care about you and your fitness journey!! They want to see you succeed! I fell in love with Squad because the staff really do treat you like family. After my first workout at squad, I knew it was something that I wanted to join and be a part of. Everyone, even the members, are so encouraging and friendly! The drop 20 challenge was truly life changing for me! If you would’ve asked me a few months ago if I would be eating healthy and going to the gym and actually liking it I would’ve said you were crazy. I was the world’s worst about staying on a diet and I did not exercise at all. After pushing myself to do this challenge I can’t imagine not working out anymore or eating all the junk I used to on a daily basis. The people at squad truly care about you and encourage you to be the best that you can possibly be. They set a meal plan for you (it is strict but if I can do it anybody can do it) and different workouts everyday that if you stick to it you will be sure to lose the weight and feel so much better! Doing this challenge has been one of the best decisions I could have ever made for myself!

When I first signed up I was a little intimidated. I had never really worked out a day in my life and I had horrible eating habits. The coaches take time to explain everything to you and are always there if you have any questions. They are always up beat and encouraging. They seem like they really care about each person who is there. I love that when the work outs get tough they are right there pushing you on. Another awesome thing about doing the challenge is the people you will meet. I got to meet some really great people and it made going to the gym so much more fun to know that I would see someone I know every time. The weekly weigh ins are an awesome way to stay accountable and you get to see how your hard work is paying off.

The drop 20 challenge helped me drop 28lbs in six weeks. During orientation the booklet that was provided to me had all the information about everything I would need to know about in the six week period. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. The trainors are helpful and make working out fun. The program has helped me become a healthier me, and has helped me gain confidence back. It's such a friendly place to work out. After my first workout I realized Squad Fitness was different than any other gym that I had been a member of, you gain a gym family and get encouragement from everyone not just the trainers but members and challengers also. It's a great place that just makes you feel welcome. I am also pleased to say that I have no more check ins on Facebook.

When you walk in and sign up you might be a little intimidated, but this place is the Bomb!!! The trainers Heather Gooch and Aidan Robb are beyond amazing and supportive. They will push you past your comfort zone and you will be amazed with the results. Also, if there are things your body is just not ready for, they have a remedy for that too. Wherever your coming from and wherever your wanting to get to, they have a successful plan to get you there. The people you work out with are very helpful and understanding. I’ve never went and felt like I was working out alone, and you won’t either.

I was nervous about signing up for this. It’s been almost 2 years since I’ve been in a gym and 4 years since I actually went consistently. I needed a challenge. I needed motivation. I came in scared, intimidated, and out of shape, but knowing I had to do something. The meal plan is plain and simply laid out for you. The coaches are encouraging, yet challenge you to go stronger. The agreement of having to go a certain number of times each week was accountability. I feel better than I have in a while. And I lost 23lbs during the challenge!! Yes this challenge is over, but this is just the beginning. God has been telling me for a while to get my health in order. This is a great start, but now, to continue...

When I started squads “drop 20” I had never stuck to a diet or even came close to finishing one, but thanks to the amazing staff here I was able to drop over 21 lbs in 6 weeks. Not only did they help me get some weight off but they helped me build back confidence and feel so much better about myself. The past 6 weeks have been challenging, it’s not easy, but if I can do it anyone can do it. If you think that you’ll starve while doing this diet and that’s what is going to hold you back then you are mistaken - some days you’ll actually feel so full you don’t even want to eat your last snack. It may not be food you want but it doesn’t have to be horrible plus they give you some awesome recipes. I made some precious friends along the way, that always held me accountable and kept me encouraged. All the trainers truly WANT you to succeed! If you just make the choice to work hard and eat clean YOU WILL see results. I highly recommended anyone who wants to lose weight, feel better or live a healthy lifestyle to join squad. Even with the challenge ending I’ll be joining squad fitness as a member because it’s that addicting and life changing!

SQUAD is unlike any other gym I’ve tried in the past. I love the format of the workouts (and the music!). The trainers are there with each person every step of the way so no one feels lost during the workout. I also know that I can contact the trainers anytime I have a question which is really nice! I love the community at Squad and how encouraging everyone is. They say to find a workout routine that you love and to stick with it - working out at Squad will definitely be part of my weekly routine moving forward!

The Drop 20 Challenge was a perfect jump start for me. I hadn’t worked out in a long time so the group atmosphere was just what I needed. I enjoyed the workouts, even the ones that kicked my butt. The trainers were supportive and encouraging. They were also more than willing to answer any questions I had. 20 pounds is just the start for me, I have much more to lose but couldn’t motivate myself till I tried the challenge. Squad Fitness was not what I was expecting; it’s so much more!! There is a family atmosphere to the gym. And, the members encourage each other and support each other’s paths to being fit. I am always up for a little challenge but when My sister asked me to join Squad Fitness Drop 20 Challenge, I was a tad scared! I can’t even lie. I knew I could do it but I thought I may die during the workouts. Good news, I did NOT die! The workouts are definitely challenging but I enjoyed them. In 6 weeks I dropped 25.2 pounds. Thank you Squad Staff for holding me accountable, encouraging me to keep pushing forward, and helping me reach my goal💪🏼 I definitely look forward to working out at Squad in the future.

I just completed the Squad Fitness "Drop 20 Challenge" and words can not describe the amount of SUCCESS and ACHIEVEMENT I feel in setting a goal and reaching it! The last 6 weeks have been filled with emotions and I am so glad I participated in this program. It started with “I want to do it”, to “I think I can do it”, then “I hope I can do it”, to “I DID IT”!!!!! This program has given me a HUGE head start to get my weight off and has truly taught me a new lifestyle that I can live with. The workout regimen is intense and fun and the trainers hold you accountable and do not let you slack! This program is the REAL DEAL! I have never seen results like this before! 22.6 pounds and 26.75 inches in SIX weeks. I loved the 6 week drop 20 challenge so much!! I drove from jasper 4x's a week and it was well worth it. I wish they would open one in Jasper. The trainers are awesome. It becomes as if we are one huge family. I got attached to my trainers and challenge partners. Everyone was so supportive and helped me stay motivated throughout the experience. I absolutely loved it. I am looking forward to coming back in January so my sister can experience everything that I have.

The drop 20 Challenge was such a great and awesome experience. When I first signed up, I was very skeptical and not sure if I could do it. But through the hard work, dedication, and encouraging words from my trainers I was able to complete the challenge with 21.4 lbs loss. I followed the darn instructions (FTDI), read my squad bible, drunk my gallon of water a day, and completed each workout regardless of how hard they were (and they were intense) But I stayed the course even when I got discouraged. The trainers are great and very motivating. I absolutely love squad and would recommend anyone who is serious about their health and weight loss to try Squad Fitness.

The six week challenge was great. I was skeptical about doing the challenge at first, due to my work travels. Heather was great to work with, she sent me workouts I could do from my hotel. The facilities are great, the trainers work with you to make sure you understand the workout. I would recommend anyone who wants to loose weight and get into great shape take this challenge!!!! Over my six weeks I was able to loose 30 pounds. If you follow the diet that they provide and drink the recommendations of water this challenge is a breeze. Thanks to all the trainers.

So today was the final weigh in on the six week drop 20 challenge. I lost 15.4 lbs and I am ecstatic!! I will be 62 in about 6 weeks, and this program has helped me do things I didn't think I could do and they wouldn't let me use age as an excuse not to improve myself. Is it hard? Yes,
Do they push you to achieve your goals? Absolutely. Was it worth it? Positively! So let me ask you something, do you want to lose weight? Do you want to get healthy? Do you want to be a better you? Wow! My 6 weeks in the Drop 20 Challenge at Gardendale flew by and so did the pounds! I have lost 22.6 pounds and I am so proud of myself! The challenge is difficult, but if you plan ahead and follow the instructions you will be successful! The workouts are challenging, but the instructors and members at the gym are super helpful and very encouraging. There are classes at multiple times everyday, so you can make it work with almost any schedule. And I promise, it's never boring! The workouts are new each day to push you! Life Changing!! I feel better than I have in a very long time, and will be continuing the weight loss and exercise, and more importantly the journey to better health, with Squad Fitness in Gardendale. The workouts and diet are tough, but manageable (they do get easier day by day, even though you may not think so after the first day) and well worth it!!! Well the challenge is over for the Patterson crew. Kim and I both fell short of our weight, unfortunately. I lost 23.4 lbs. and Kim lost 9.6 lbs. This was truly a challenge for us as we both went from eating out every meal to the strict diet that this challenge contains. However, the workouts were fun and challenging as well. Heather, Aiden, and Josh really made the workouts fun with their motivation and knowledge of all the exercises! This has been very rewarding to Kim and I for our quest to become healthy and fit. The Drop 20 challenge at Squad Fitness is an awesome program! After contemplating and talking about working out for probably a year, I happened to see a couple of friends on FB that had completed the challenge. I read a lot of reviews looking for something to make me more comfortable with taking on the challenge myself. After seeing several people in my age range (I'm 52) I thought, if they can do it, so can I. I'm not gonna lie, the first workout was really tough! But the next one was not quite as bad. It's amazing how quickly your body can change and improve. I had no endurance in the beginning but was completing the maximum effort by the end of the challenge. One of the best things about the program is that everyone is in it together. We were all eating the same foods, sharing recipe ideas, figuring out the exercises and encouraging one another. The trainers were all awesome! Josh, Aidan, Brandon and Heather kept us challenged with every workout. Not one was repeated, so you never get bored with the same old things. I highly recommend the Drop 20 Challenge to anyone who wants to get in shape. I actually lost 10 pounds, but am very happy with my results! My main goal was to get in shape and I have definitely improved my body! I am happy to say I'm now a Squad Fitness member and will be working out for a long time to come. If I can do it, so can you!

Over the past six weeks I have had a great time at Squad. Every day was a new workout and it really kept you on your toes. I joined the challenge to push myself and to make my body stronger. I am 57 years young that broke her back so I was a little nervous and needed to strengthen my back. Instructors modified my exercises when needed. Well this whole experience has been awesome from the trainers to the workouts. The instructors helped, pushed and encouraged me at every workout. On April 27, 2017 I tried to wear some pants that I could not button. At that moment I decided I was over being "chuncky and out of shape!" I made the call, talked with Heather, went to orientation on Saturday and started the Challenge on Monday, May 1. The Challenge was not just physically hard but emotionally and mentally challenging! This Challenge is not just about the number on the scales but about the way you feel in your skin! I feel FANTASTIC. Don't get me wrong, I still have work to do and always will. The Drop 20 Challenge is an amazing program for anyone wanting to kick start their weight loss / fitness journey. I had been telling myself for the longest that I needed to buckle down and get fit but I also had a terrible time self motivating. The challenge changed that for me. The instruction and diet plan are laid out great so you don't have to guess on if you are following them correctly. The trainers are amazing to work with and truly want to help you be your best self. The workouts are tough but I always left feeling like I had accomplished something. I really enjoyed being able to see in my performance through the challenge that my endurance was increasing. It has been an awesome experience. The coach and trainers were awesome to work with. The other challengers were also great. When I started the drop 20 challenge I was nervous because I hated going to a gym. I never knew what to do. There was no one there to help me, guide me, or encourage me. I felt lost and out of place esp looking around and seeing everyone on a machine or lifting weights looking like they knew what they were doing. Squad Fitness is the exact opposite. There is ALWAYS someone there to encourage you, push you, and support you when it's needed. Coaches and members always push you when you need it the most. Even if it's just a "come on, you got this" it's a great push to have. I would have given up without the support because I used to be a wimp!! I have made some wonderful friends though squad. All the exercises and moves are fully adaptable to whatever level you are at personally; and the coaches will help you figure out how to modify the moves if necessary. They also push you to keep increasing the level of difficulty as you progress so that you never stall out and get the most benefit from the workout.
When I started the Drop20 Challenge with Squad fitness I was weak, out of shape, and if I ever did workout (which I HATED to do) I would start to sweat or get tired or start to hurt and just throw my hands up and say 'I quit'. The first week at Squad I though I was going to die-but with the help of the coaches, and encouragement from my workout buddies I made it through each workout. Then the next week I could tell that I was getting stronger, and it became a game to see how hard I could push myself. If I wasn't so sore I could barely move at the end of a workout, then I didn't push hard enough- and I realized that I wasn't just getting stronger-I was actually ENJOYING workouts!!!! At the end of the 6 week challenge it was a no brainer for me to continue as a member of Squad fitness. They changed my life for the better, and I'm never going back. I can 💯 say that doing the Drop20 Challenge and joining Squad fitness was the absolute BEST decision I ever made. I still have a long way to go in my fitness journey- but with Squad fitness and the amazing coaches and friends that I've made I know I can do it!

I'm so glad that I took the drop 20 challenge! The staff was very up front and honest with us but, told us that if we followed the damn instructions and stay committed we'd see results. They were right because I lost 40 pounds in six weeks all because they worked with and motivated me each day and gave me examples of the proper meals to eat. Their efforts have given me a new lifestyle and taught me how to eat and exercise properly and I will continue to apply what I've learned to each day I am allowed to awake and take a breath. My squad mates were amazing and encouraging and we all had each other's back and pushed one another when it was needed. The trainers at squad are very qualified and encouraging. The diet plan is simple. The level of workouts and equipment is excellent. This program does require effort, but if you are dedicated and motivated to truly make a difference in your health and fitness the goals are definitely obtainable. Is it easy?? No. The diet is strict and the workouts are hard. Is it worth it? Most definitely. The program is very honest up front that it's hard but worth the effort. I have dropped 2 pants sizes during the course of the 6 week challenge. Friends and family can noticeably see a big difference in a relatively short amount of time. I have received numerous compliments and encouragement along the way. The self confidence I have gained is priceless. I have struggled with weight most of my life and I feel a permanent change after completing the challenge. I started the challenge after a suggestions from one of my colleagues. I invited my husband to participate as well. When I began I didn't think I could keep up or complete the exercises as demonstrated. But you quickly learn that you can do more than you think if you work hard. The trainers were fun and kept the program interesting. The routines were different each day and sometimes changed during the class depending on the participation of the group to ensure you were engaged. Great program, although the menu is very limited. You'll retrain your mind to eat to live and not live to eat.

I made it!!!!!! Lost 28 pounds in 6 weeks. I've tried many different workouts and diets over the years and ultimately could never lose much weight or keep off the weight I did lose. The Camp Challenge changed all that. The coaches hold you accountable and encourage you and the other challengers/members encourage you as well. First day at Squad Fitness I knew I wasn't physically ready for it but I was mentally ready. The first week was rough. I was sore after the second day. It didn't get better as the week went along.
It was also hard to get used to eating every 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Finally the weekend and 2 days rest.
All of the hard work paid off. I lost 14.8 pounds my first week. That the motivation I needed to complete the challenge.
Every week the trainers threw in a different exercise to work on a different muscle group. That was the best part to me, I didn't get bored with the same ole exercise week after week.
All the trainers were very knowledgeable and kept us motivated.
I ended the challenge with a total weight loss of 36.6 lbs.

I was never someone who worked out or took my fitness seriously, but the potential for free personal training got me intrigued. It turned out to be exactly what I needed and it changed my life. I made huge progress in a short amount of time without killing myself at the gym everyday or starving. It was hard but doable. Soon I started craving going to the gym and feeling so proud of myself once I left drenched in sweat. The trainers were all great, friendly, and motivating. They paid close attention to every challenger, I don't even know how they do that! I made friends that all encouraged me and we pushed each other to succeed. I love this Squad and I'm looking forward to starting there as a member to continue my fitness goals! The only negative thing I can say is that if you're not really close to your goal by week 5 you have to go on a very strict diet that had me feeling terrible. However it was doable and it did work. The people and trainers were all so amazing! I almost can't believe the results I saw with this six week challenge. The trainers were amazing and always offered advice and encouragement. They provided the information that you needed to thrive through meal plans and pushed you in the gym to get the extra rep and burn the calories. They always made sure you had proper form and enough water intake. This is not a fad diet. This is not a quick fix. It's a challenge to be a better healthier you. They have laid it all out for you. Workouts, healthy diet. At first I thought I was going without all these foods I loved them I realized they were actually robbing me of all my energy. I've experienced some great events in my life and this challenge is one of them. To say that it's easy would be a lie. Nothing in life that is worth anything is easy.
After 1 week, I could walk and move better. 2 weeks and I could bend down and tie my shoes without getting light headed. Week 3 i can really see that i can push it and get more than i think i can. Week 4 and I've already exceeded what I thought I could do as far as cardio and flexibility. Week 5 and my back is no longer locking up when I do anything bent over. Week 6 and I hit the gym for 9 work outs cause why not. Feed the beast.

Squad Fitness is not your typical gym. Its not crossfit and a cardio location but more of a hybrid with both. This fitness center coached and encourage to get out of my comfort zones with the workouts and really show my what I am made of as far as trying my best instead of just trying to do the minimum. I started off with the The Camp Challenge. Gerald and Heather where highly motivating and would not let me quit, no matter how bad I wanted to cause they knew I had more left in me. I recently completed the challenge and had a great outcome! The trainers and other athletes at the gym were very welcoming. Of course the diet was hard because I was so use to eating whatever I wanted but once I got a few weeks into it I got the hang of it! The work outs were fun but challenging at the same time. Here is your warning! This is not called a “challenge” for nothing. It’s hard. Very hard. That being said, as long as you “FTDI” (follow the dang instructions) it is do-able. The trainers are excellent and the atmosphere is fun and welcoming. In fact I loved it so much that I’m joining the gym! If you need a jumpstart to losing weight or are trying to get into better shape, this is for you! Take it from a person who went from being a skeptic to a supporter.

When my husband, son and I started this challenge, I won’t lie…I was scared! We were moving from regular couch potato status to full on workouts. I was mentally preparing myself to possibly meet my maker, HOWEVER, I survived. I not only survived, I succeeded. I was ready for a change so kudos to me (go Bev) for sheer determination! However, A TREMENDOUS amount of credit is definitely due to Rock Brown, Romen McDonald and the other fabulous trainers who were there to guide us through the workouts. I will say, the workouts were tough for this former couch potato, but I will say more emphatically…THEY WORK! Between the workouts and the diet, if you follow the instructions (FTDI), you will lose the weight and shape up! Take it from me, if you want to look and feel better either TAKE THE CHALLENGE or join up to work out with the guys at Squad Fitness…totally worth it!

A couple of months ago my wife told me about seeing a post for Camp Challenge in Trussville and asked me to go to orientation with her. I was a little skeptical, but with my wife's encouragement, I went to orientation with her. We decided to accept the challenge and our youngest son decided to join us.
This 52 year-old couch potato hadn't worked out in over 10 years and was a little scared that my body couldn't handle the workout. The workouts were tough, but trainer Rock Brown and others kept me going. The camaraderie in the class kept me going. The diet was a challenge, but I got plenty to eat and was never really hungry.
Now that my challenge is complete, I have lost over 30 lbs., added muscle, and my body has completely changed shape!

My experience at Squad Fitness & The Camp Challenge was amazing when I first started I was so Scared and thought I couldn't do it but as time went bye I got better and better following the food plan, the people and the Trainer are the BEST, they push you hard and work with you and they are true professional at what they do, I have meet new friends and amazing people we work together as team and got the job done, I now can do exercises that I thought I never would be able to do like burpee, push ups, jumping jacks, lol. This is one of the most challenging things I have ever done in my LIFE and I LOVED it, I want to thank the TRAINERS you guys ROCK, thanks Squad fitness job well done! 27.2 lbs GONE! I started the Camp Challenge 7 weeks ago. When I first started, I was unsure of how well I would be able to complete the Challenge with my work schedule and my childcare. I also really like to eat, so I was worried about that too. For every excuse I could throw out, Romen had a solution to offer. I used to run a good bit before my second child was born, and I had not gotten back into shape since his birth (he's two and a half). Months and months of running didn't do for my body what the Camp Challenge did in six weeks. It's the 20lb in 6 week program, not the 6lb in 20 week program! The workouts are hard, but never boring, always challenging, and (I kinda want to say fun). If there's a part that you hate, you know it's gonna be over soon. Even though it's hard, you get stronger quickly and I find myself wanting more at the end of the hour. It makes it easier to go back the next day and I miss it when I can't make my workout. At week one, I was doing pushups on my knees and couldn't do a burpee. In week 6, I'm doing of pushups on my toes (with good form) and I can burpee and wall sit with the best of them. The trainers are encouraging and push me to do more than I think I can, which is exactly what I need to get stronger and in better shape. I lost two dress sizes, and feel FREE to put on anything in my closet because I don't have to be self-conscious anymore. I didn't hate trying on swimsuits last week, and actually bought three because they all looked good and I couldn't decide. THAT is a victory in and of itself! The diet isn't bad at all if you like veggies, and I virtually stopped having headaches (which I'm guessing were related to my sugar consumption). It takes planning and prepping, but it's totally do-able, and it made me get creative in the kitchen. And if cooking and prep are not your thing, they even have a meal service that you can purchase too! NO Excuses! You get support all the way. I joined the gym at the end of my challenge because it's a positive, self-care habit in my life now, and I can't do without it.

SQUAD FITNESS REVIEW
To start, all i can say is WOW!! This was definitely hard mentally and physically. The mental part was the hardest trying to reestablish how you eat and having the will power to stick to it. The physical change is different and I'm glad I took the Challenge. However, the last couple of days were very difficult. I made the most of my outside gym the last few days. I somehow found the drive and determination to our through...I did 31,238 steps and 14.21 miles of exercise Sunday and 16,062 steps and 6.85 miles on Monday through the holiday weekend. BOOM!! It has given the confidence to know, I can do it with some work, focus and determination!! The friends you make through Squad Fitness also create a support system that was amazing. Thank You ROCK...he's an amazing trainer with all the right GET TO WORK and YOU CAN DO IT support throughout the process. I feel more confident in keeping the 20.4 pounds off and adding more weight loss to that number. Knowledge of the how's and what to do certainly help.
To the next group of Challengers...YOU CAN DO IT!!

22 pounds gone and still going! I could not have done it without squad fitness and there 6 week challenge. This program gave me the push I needed towards eating clean and working out. After the first week I thought there was no way I would make it through the work outs were intense and I was starved😖 but with the help of the trainers I made it. They were always there to push me the extra mile. By week four I felt invincible 💪🏻and found that the work outs ,while still challenging, didn't make me want to hurl 🤒. I feel amazing and will keep using everything I learned during my challenge to reach my goals. 😎If you are looking for a way to get out of a fitness rut I suggest going to squad fitness and asking them about the camp challenge. You won't be disappointed! 😍

Me and my husband decided to do the challenge together in order to get back on track with our fitness goals. We both made the challenge and go great results. The fitness coaches were amazing and pushed us further than we wanted to go. They saw so much potential in us that we begin to realize what they were seeing. We really struggled the first three weeks, but with very hard work and determination we made our goals and passed them. I loved the group atmosphere but the membership is just very pricey. So we won't be continuing but I would definitely recommend this program to anyone in need of that extra push. Rock and Darrell will surely make sure you get it done. I still HATE SALLY and when I meet her I'm going to use some of those kick boxing moves on her for all the pain she put us through. But we made it !!! All we have to always remember is to never give up, cause what we think is impossible may not be!

I took the 20lbs and 42 days challenge. The team at Squad gave us a list of what to eat, I went to 4 workouts a week and the weight came off! I thought I would starve, but sticking to the plan, I was rarely hungry. I use to get migraines when I worked out hard, but didn't have the first one while sticking to their plan. I was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere at Squad. Heather and Romen are ready to encourage and guide you during your workouts. I enjoyed the workouts and would highly recommend this challenge and this gym to anyone of any size!

It is definitely worth every penny. I lost 22.4 LBS. The workouts are challenging but the results are worth the effort. I am in the best shape I have been since highschool. It's fast pace no nonsense cardiovascular and strength training. You won't regret it.

I can't believe it is possible to have fun while working out but during Squad Fitness's 6 week challenge I had fun and lost 20.6lbs. It is not the same old boring work out routine that everyone is used to. It keeps you moving and burns fat. I would recommend them to anyone looking to get in shape.

As I dwell on these past six weeks, all I can say is that I'm grateful that I had this opportunity. The workouts weren't easy nor the nutrition plan; however, it was well worth the weight in gold. I am glad that my mom, Nona Lee, was there helping me get through this and having a great trainer Rock Brown to move me beyond my limits. I look and feel better than I did before. I have more clarity, less pain, and less care for watching tv because those were the beginning signs of bigger health issues. All I can say is great program to be a part of whether I lose the 20 or not. But I will be darned to gain any of that back ever after I worked my ass off doing this. Cheers to the Squad!!!!

When I started the 6 week challenge at Squad Fitness in Gardendale, AL, I weighed more than I had ever weighed in my life and felt miserable. I was out of shape and wasn't sure if I could handle working out 4 (or more) times a week but the trainers were wonderful. They constantly watched and guided me through each and every workout. In my opinion, their encouragement truly made the difference. This wasn't my first time trying to get in shape but it definitely was the first time something actually worked! Accountability was what I needed and you will get that at Squad. Now I am a member and look forward to working out and I never thought those words would come out of my mouth.

Top notch team with Heather and Zach. It's a must do challenge. This 6 weeks Challenge has changed my life! It has given me a better quality of life. My "things" don't hurt so bad anymore. It has given me strength, mobility, and flexability back. The program is worth every blood, sweat and tears. I would recommend this program to anyone. I saw people of all shapes and sizes doing this challenge. It is designed to fit any person no matter what physical challenges they face. Every workout is different. You never get the same workout ever. The diet is very easy to follow. I have to say my life is on a better path than 6 weeks ago. 23.2 lbs lost!

Here is my post challenge review.
I never thought I was "in good enough shape" to work out 4 days a week. Turns out I was wrong. Putting the deposit down was actually great because it made me force myself to go 4 days a week and follow the meal plan too. Honestly without the deposit I would have never had the results I had. I was truly amazed that I was able to go workout 4 days a week and do it to that level of intensity. The trainers, Heather and Zack, are truly amazing people. It was truly a pleasure to be around them. I also met a lot of amazing people and we worked out as team and became friends along the way. This experience went much much better than I ever thought it could have and that's all because of Zack and Heather and all the other amazing challengers giving it their all every week. I learned self control with my eating following the meal plan they give you and that I actually do have time to exercised 4-5 times per week. Also my stamina increased so fast. I went from a couch potato to running 3 - 3.5 miles in 3 weeks. I ran one day week and did the challenge 4 days a week just to make sure I made my goal and got my deposit back. I lost 25 pounds in my 6 week challenge and enjoyed myself while I was doing it.

I started Firm Body Bootcamp October 30th and have lost 13 lbs. I'm a 54 year old post menopause and was at a plateau. I was spinning, BodyPump and hiking, but my metabolism had come to a standstill eating low carb. I started bootcamp and the 21 day Holiday meltdown and lost 7 lbs the 1st week. I feel much stronger and Romen helps you work on areas where you are weak, giving you alternatives to help build you up. Thanks Romen!!

Firm Body Bootcamp has been one of the best things I've done for myself. On top of feeling great and having more energy, my body has toned up and am in better shape than I was when I played college softball 4 years ago. The workouts are great mix of cardio and strength training. Romen has been exactly what I need in a trainer, pushing me when I don't push myself enough. I have had the best experience at Firm Body Bootcamp. I have lost 25 pounds in 6 weeks. They push me harder toward goals and are willing to help me in any way to conquer those goals.
