Excellent staff. Wonderful pool and work out gym. There are plenty of equipment pieces, so waiting for one is rare. The classes, groups, camps, and functions are diverse and plentiful. Definitely a great place for the kids and family.

9 kids vs 1 coach in a 30 mins session. Each kid got 3+ minutes?? What a waste of time. Not recommended

There needs to be accountability at this location. This is first time I have ever been to a Y. I came to get a workout in before I went to work, while playing basketball I was running across the court when I went to stop and grab the ball I slipped on a puddle of water from a roof leak. This is a roof leak that I wasnβt made aware of by any member of the staff. There was no sign indicating that there is or was water on the court. When my friend made the staff aware that I had just fallen from water on the court. A staff member came by to give me his apology and tell me βthis issue is above my pay gradeβ. That is absolutely ridiculous to know he was aware of a roof leak there in the past and at the very least had not checked the basketball court prior to opening. I paid money to use the indoor basketball court if I wanted to slip on rain water I would have went to a park for free. I asked who should I speak to about this issue since it is out of your pay grade and was told a name but not given a phone number. Every step of the way I feel as if the health and the safety of others and myself wasnβt important enough for the staff. Or is to much for them to handle. Now because of this Iβm now walking with a limp with a softball sized bruise. How on earth is this remotely okay?!

The weight room is very nice, everything one would need to tone or build up the Body.
Only thing is The Hot Tub stays broken down, I love my time in the Sauna, Hot Tub and Pool to complete my workout, but overall itβs a great place to workout and relax.
Thanks YMCA

On our winter escape to Foley Alabama, this welcoming YMCA was a great find. The facility is clean and offers group exercise that I enjoy while my spouse swam laps in a good size pool. I interacted with several friendly and helpful staff as well as members.
Overall a wonderful facility

The remodel looks amazing!!! The facility is always clean. The staff is Always cleaning something.
The staff are very professional, helpful, and polite. I like seeing their smiling faces. They try to get to know names of the members which I really appreciate.
The classes are starting to build up again. I can't wait to see what other classes are offered in the future. The Flow Yoga with Mr. Bob is my favorite class to go to. All of the classes are for every level from beginner to advanced. So don't be shy to start!!! The members are amazing at helping you out!!
My daughter loves the Kids Night Ins. They are held once a month on a Friday night from 6-10 p.m. It actually gives us parents time for a date night or self care night. They get to swim, play games, do crafts, eat pizza, and have movie and popcorn. Love it!!!!

They keep the sauna at a dangerously high level of ~225Β°F. I asked why it was not within the safe range between 185Β° and 195Β°. I will no longer go back and would not recommend this gym.

This Y branch is absolutely stunning! It is like a brand new facility, having just remodeled after Hurricane Sally of '20. All the equipment looks brand new & the amount of cardio equipment available is awesome! I just joined & noticed there is an indoor pool as well, tho I did not see it but imagine it's just as good as the rest of the facility! Well done!

I only rated it one star because itβs been closed for 10 months and I was told this morning it will not reopen for 3 more months. We have a house in Gulf Shores and watched houses get demolished and replacements completely built, houses gutted and completely renovated and commercial buildings completely renovated due to storm damage. It appears the person(s) responsible for managing the repair work of the βYβ is not doing a very good or timely job.

The people are great. The machines are always breaking. The building leaks. The pool is closed down often. The hours are so sporadic that exercising on a regular schedule is almost impossible. Unfortunately I am going to have to switch to a different gym for the New year.

Stopped In on my way to work to get an application for membership. James told me he could have me signed up and ready to go in 15 minutes or less so I would not be late to work. And he did just that! I appreciate quality service with a smile and a compliment. That set the tone for my day. Thank you James!

Most money hungry not for profit facility I've ever entered. The members are all saints for putting up with the greedy, spiteful workers that work the front desk and some of administration. Toxic environment for anyone spending more than a day here.

Snook Family YMCA in Foley has been a Blessing to many families; mine included. Itβs a clean, well maintained building with an amazing staff. Melissa in the childrenβs division for summer camp is extremely rude!!! This used to be a great summer program for children with a wonderful staff. It seems like over the years the staff has gotten more and more rude. My child couldnβt attend camp this week due to something coming up, and they charged me anyway. Tried to speak to her about reimbursement and she wasnβt having it. I work in customer service for a living, and they have the worst customer service Iβve ever seen.

So far so good. Clean, nice and mostly friendly. Most everyone is as nice as you would expect in the South. That being said, The other day a girl at the front desk was as sour as they come.
Wish I knew her name so she could be schooled by her superiors.
Made me feel bad for the Y, because all in all they work hard to have a quality and friendly establishment.

The y is fine but i think the hot tub should be kept cleaner and they let people in who have bandages on their legs from sores one lady in particular and let them in with wearing shirts and shorts one guy in particular and people use it to just sit in the hot tub with the bubbles off and I know two people that got staff infections that they think they got there. They also charge a fee for my grandkids when they visit and they are members in Ohio I dont pay in Ohio when I VISIT with my Al membership so why should they

Crazy hours, rude front desk people, and I complained about someone taking pictures of me while working out and I was dismissed, but she at least watched me go to my car, the man did follow me out of the parking lot for a while.

The ladies working the front desk in the mornings are always SO rude! We are members of 3 gyms and this one is the only one that we consistently have issues getting through the door. If they don't like working there they should quit! They certainly shouldn't be in a customer facing role with the YMCA

I have a silver sneakers, they want $10 a visit!! In Birmingham I just have to pay $10 month for my medical assistant to come with me. I can't drive, have a port in my chest, and am only going for physical therapy since my doctor suggested it because my insurance wants a high deductible. I can only do the pool and walking. My medical assistant (she has a license) comes 20 hours sometimes 30 depending on what the doc has ordered (she can stick my Port, do TPN, check my INR and other things)and if I have doc visits and so on. I just can't believe they want to charge my RMA when she definitely has to come to help me. I'm going see if I can find another gym that can assist me.

The gym is decent. Plenty of cardio machones, free weights, and machines but it's ABSOLUTELT RIDICULOUS that I must add my children to my membership for them to be placed in daycare while I work out.. Or I have to pay 3$/child.. 60+ dollars plus a month isn't enough to cover my 11 yr old and 8 yr old to be in child care for 2 hours while I work out.. And the kicker is, if I add them, the ONLY thing they get to do is go go child care and the pool of I'm with them.. In Tennessee, where I moved from, childcare is included in your membership.. If your policy doesn't change, pretty soon one of these big name gyms will come through and you will have no business left..

I have been a member for over 5 years and absolutely love it! They have the absolute best instructors, multitude of classes, new equipment and Christian values. I'm very pleased with the managerial changes made ensuring member's receive the best workout experience and classes available. A place everyone feels at home and can cone to get inspired!

It is not ok. I had a week left and my husband joined silver sneakers. Instead of giving me the week we payed for ,they slapped a fee on my account. I am furious. This place is badly run . Never go back. Staffis very nice . I have no beef with them.

This place scares my kid. I joined this YMCA to get a discount on my child's summer camp & with the hopes that I would start working out again. He went to the summer camp there for four years. I spoke to someone who volunteered in the children's after care program. She said that the kid's program was poorly managed and the kids were so unruly that she had to stop. Between that and the fact that my son was so terrified of going back that we finally sent him to a different summer camp this year. Since I haven't been there in over year, I wanted to cancel my membership. They make you come in to fill out a form. Ridiculous!!!
