Will lie to you to get you to sign up, then claim that you just didn't understand. The person who signed me up blantely lied to me and told me there was someone available to help me with the initial workout plan and then when I came in to ask about it, no one was available to help. I wasted my money and the owner only wanted to offer 20% off if I paid for a personal trainer instead of a refund for not coming bc I didn't want to get hurt trying to figure out the machines. He offered a refund of 2 months but if he did that it would also cancel my membership. I wanted to continue to come if they made it right but they would rather lose a member than refund 2 months of 29.99. I wish I had just never signed up to begin with.

I have had a membership to this gym for years but I am unable to fully utilize this location because of the fact that the hydro table has not been consistanly operational for over a year now. I suffer from chronic muscle spasms, so I need to work out and also use a hydrotherapy table between this location and the one in Anniston I have been unable to do so without interruption. The only place that I have been able to make it to that has an operational table on a regular basis that is well maintained as Pell city this is 45 minutes from my home. I think it is bad business and poor service for a membership to be paid and for the facility to never be functional as advertised. I have spoke to numerous employees about this matter, and nothing has been repaired or replaced.

Today May 14th, 2025, I have decided to cancel my membership here. I will rejoin with Pell City. Today I came for a 20 minute hydro massage. I was spasming and needed to relax a minute. Since my daughter was home alone I picked her up and brought her with me after getting her some food. She is 15 and I didn't want her left in the parking lot. She came into the room with me only to be removed and told that I can no longer bring visitors. I have never brought one in all my years. But this is petty day. I learned my member benefits have changed with no detailed notice. I have no email! So I will go elsewhere for membership and utilize 24.7 as I do. My daughter is now waiting 20 min in the car. How about you focus on the people who are actually violating and not good customers. I have had rib surgery two times and needed to relax. Well, let's just say that didn't happen. Why would I want to leave my 15 year old daughter sitting up front uncomfortable with a bunch of college age guys, instead of her sitting in a room, patiently, waiting on me to get done. I canceled my membership before I walked out of the door.

After reading your reply, there's a big difference in sitting in a chair and it being on. It was not on! My daughter was no ridiculous increase in liability. There was no offer made to me. The representative said you all no longer allow members to bring guests as policy, not as option. Nor have I ever seen this alleged email.

Unacceptable for this place to say “24/7” but the barcode scanner is not working every other week. I left my phone in there tonight and I can’t even use my code to get into this place because it’s broken. I shouldn’t be paying $40+ to not even be able to access this place at my own leisure. Lord forbid somebody is in there fighting for their life and the scanner is broken. This is ridiculous. Do better! Don’t get me started on those bathrooms either……. Please fix this issue expeditiously. ………….. (end up going back at 1am almost 2 and luckily somebody rigged the door and they were in there working out and opened the door so I could get my phone. Still fix that scanner.

Workout Anytime? Not here buddy, doors were locked for the second time in a month. I'm so glad that I wake up at 5am, drive 15 minutes to get here, and then find the doors locked. Cancelling today, as long as an employee shows up today... I will miss seeing the spider webs on equipment though, it's been fun seeing how they grow as the weeks go by with no cleaning.

I love this gym. Top equipment with a friendly atmosphere. It's clean and very well priced. My only wish for this place is they would get an arc trainer. Those are great cardio and so much easier on those of us with wonky knees than the treadmill or elliptical. Update: So I waited about six weeks for the ONE rowing machine they have to get fixed. When it finally came back I sat all excited and it's unlevel. Like...really y'all? Six million treadmills and ellipticals but can't spring for a second rowing machine? I'd go somewhere else but it's Jacksonville and options are limited. I hope they can do better. UPDATE: The rowing machine is no longer unlevel. Woohoo, progress!

Tried to join this place 2X's the first time I stood at the desk I will say 10 minutes and when someone came to the desk wasn't very helpful because I didn't know that Medicare had 2 programs. ( and they don't sir). A couple days later I went back stood at the desk I even walked around thinking maybe someone would notice and help but no one did so guess what I'm still not signed up. I stopped in recently to inquire about a family membership. Friendly, informative staff of two and enough equipment to get the job done. Place is a little crowded with equipment but not uncomfortably so. Quite a few machines were out of service when we visited but they said they were getting replacements soon. There was no trainer on staff currently though their ad said they offered that. We were told we could ask other members for help and they would be glad to assist. We were given a tour and pricing information was explained and given to us. Since this place is closer to home we'll probably join here as opposed to the nicer and cheaper Planet Fitness in Oxford.

This location is worn/used, and it shows. It needs a lot of love to be a good gym again. The equipment is squeaky, out of order signs on machines, lack of equipment, and everything feels filthy. Often times at night, you are unable to get in because their door lock system has malfunctioned and somebody in the gym has to come open the door for you. For $20 a month, I expect more than what WA Jacksonville is giving.

For a commercial gym, it's pretty nice. Good selection of equipment, fairly friendly staff, convenient hours and location. The only negative points are that there is no space for doing pre-workout stretches or yoga, nor mats available for those activities, and there aren't doors on the entrances to the locker rooms (which i prefer for privacy purposes). Aside from that, it's a pretty quality place.

This company is all about making their money.. Way to many people and memberships versus workout equipment.. you have to go super late or super early to get your workout in.. Their not convenient in anyway.. staff doesn't enforce main rule of staying of your cell phone while working out.. I sat for 30 mins while other customer was talking on their phone while sitting on a machine.. I couldnt finish my workout due to this.. they have camera's and see this.. like I said, their just worried about their money..i would suggest going to a different gym..

Anytime Fitness in Jacksonville, Alabama is a sorry business. Recently, I cancelled my contract with them. My cancellation date was through 11 June 2019. On 2 June, I went to get in to workout and I couldn't get in. Today (7 June), I called them about coming in to workout and the representative said I can only workout when the staff is there. I said what? I am supposed to be able to workout anytime until at least 11 June. So, they don't stand behind their advertisement of workout anytime. That is false advertisement. They do not care about their customers. They are only there for the almighty dollar. This is a horrible business. Do yourself a favor and don't use them. They will take your money and provide sorry service. This was a terrible experience.

I went there to do the free 14 day trial to see how I liked it. Well first of all the guy that was there took forever because he was new. That's okay but why have the new guy by himself? And he didn't know anything about the 14 day trial, but said I could do the 7 day. Unfortunately if you do these trials, I was told I can only come during operating hours and also only 3 times during the 7 days and only 7 times during the 14 days after I had to go online and fill in the information myself. I wanted to go to this place because of the overnight hours and if i can't go then, then what's the point? The associate wasn't really the problem, it's the company and their policy that makes no sense.

The gym was good got my membership in December and signed the 12 month contract but unfortunately I had to move in May I still paid for the 12 months but continue receiving invoices after the 12 months but just recently I had a family member die which has put my family in hard times so I called the offices to discuss why I was still being charged and they told me that I had signed the contract in April which is false so I tried to talk with them and they wouldn’t help told me I had to pay 100$ Even though my contract should have expired and email there manager so I did and I still haven’t received a reply so if your decide to workout here don’t sign anything they will scam you!!

Over the years I have worked out in a lot of gyms, there is something about this gym that I just love. The staff is always friendly and helpful and recently a slight re-arrangement of equipment opened up the free weight area and just made it flow better. This is the gym I went to before I moved 5 hours away and when I went in to cancel the membership they said I'd be charged 1 more time because of the 30 day cancelling policy. Which was fine because I understood so I went a few more times before I actually moved && it was never cancelled they currently owe me $120 in fees because they keep charging to my debit card that I only use for emergencies so it keeps going in the negatives and have yet to return my calls. "The money will be returned it 5-7 business days" and it's been 3 weeks and I still have nothing. So everyone pay close attention when you cancel your membership here. The manager Patrick is absolutely NO help. & I'm calling their corporate tomorrow.
