They seem to have a problem with the wifi. Several times week I have to ask them to reboot the wifi to listen to tv.
Also I wonder if trainers warn people of the dangers of certain machines like long term damage to knees when overweight on the stair climber. I see several very large people doing irreputable damage to their knees. I've had 2 knee replacements ortho say never get on the stairs climber unless your in good shape and weight

I tried to join them last year. But the front desk girl wasn’t friendly and felt like they don’t want anymore business. One year later, I I was there this morning about 9:30 am. The door was locked. I can see the front desk. There was no body there. I waited until 10:00 am. Still no body showed up. This location looks slow. No wonder!

It is filthy. Cleaning staff missing all kinds of floor space as I watched while I was on a machine. Garbage cans full on the floor as well as in the bathroom. Speaking of bathroom, missing soap/shampoo containers and soaps at the sinks empty, they have little squirt bottles sitting on the counter, nothing in the wall mount units. Rude reception desk employee.

I must add that I spoke to Adam the new manager last week and I actually believe he will be addressing these items, time will tell.

Looked all over for gyms that i can train for strongman competitions. This gym has been my favorite in yuma. It would be 5 stars if they had some specialty bars. Specifically a log press bar. And maybe some other strongman items like sandbags, atlas stones, or yoke frame for carries. Log Press bar would be ideal though.

Gym is decent given the gyms around the area, my low rating is due to the cleanliness of the restrooms and the daycare being a lawsuit waiting to happen. Restrooms are minimally cleaned, definitely not a thorough cleaning has been done in months, I’ve seen the same stain in the stall wall for months. Daycare is a good idea however the staff working there aside from 1 or 2 females are lazy. I’ve seen 15-20 kids watched by 2 staff and they have older kids running wild screaming while infants are playing on the floor in the same area.

I will update my review given the response and after seeing a way cleaner restroom given my review. Daycare is still a concern.

The gym itself is awesome. Lots of construction which of course will benefit in the end. The problem with the gym, and I would give this place one star if it wasn’t a complete fault of the gym is the use of cell phones. EVERY time I go to the gym, I witness people sitting on machines on their damn cellphones. They sit there for up to a half hour without so much as peddling or lifting a dang finger. Not saying ban cell phones in the place, but you have to put a rule in place to not have active cellphone use on the equipment except emergency or listening to music. I pay to use the equipment and am being denied due to slacker surfing phone users.

If I could give zero stars I would. I cancelled my membership in March due to moving out of town and when I called to speak to someone, they told me all I had to do was send an email. Now we are in June, and they are still charging my account. I called and spoke to Aaliyah who was very unprofessional and rude (obviously a trend of hers based on the responses on the other reviews). I told her that all I was informed when I called was that I had to send an email and it would be cancelled and she kept stating that I was informed I had to fill out a form and send it back. I advised her that if I would’ve been advised of that when I called that I would have done that, but I was not informed. I am a very busy doctorate student with an autistic child so I don’t have time to be checking my emails and again if I would’ve been told that upfront, I would have been looking out for the email, but I wasn’t! I asked to please refund the two month they took without my consent, and she refused. I told her I would be disputing with my bank and she threatened me stating they would send me to collections. Again, I am a doctorate student and a parent to a disabled child what kind of heartless person threatens a person with collections after it was their mistake. I asked to speak to the owner or anyone above her and she refused. If they needed a form to be filled and signed that is something they should’ve disclosed upfront on the phone call and not been sneaky trying to get more money. I wouldn’t recommend this gym at all they are so unprofessional and cheats. I hope they get the karma they deserve, and the business fails. I will also be contacting the better business bureau since the owners, according to Aaliyah, are too “busy” to talk to anyone.

Oh and once I finish my doctorate and start working at Yuma Regional I will advise everyone there to not go to this gym. I will make it my mission that others switch from this gym if they go.

Quite a good gym - very complete, not too crowded, friendly staff, and fairly clean, but looses 2 starts.

First one because they run advertisements on the speakers.

Second, because they don't give maintenance to the lockers at the restroom or the ones at the entrance.

Imagine forgetting to bring your earbuds, and being punished so by having to listen to mundane pop music and lengthy insurance and car commercials (just like the ones on tv) while you try to lift. Further, there is literally only one locker at the men's restroom that works - this was what made me write this - it has been like that for weeks now. I've mentioned it to the front desk twice, but they aren't really concerned with it, just like they aren't with the little lockers at the entrance since I became a member.

Anyways, I now bring two pair of headphones, and I am not telling you which is the not broken locker!

Absolutely terrible employees & customer service. Canceled membership & was still being charged. Went back in & was told by employee to block through my bank. Went back in to enroll & paid an enrollment fee then the next day it was canceled & I was in collections owing over $200? I spoke with the manager & she told me I was screwed & that only owners could do something. She refuses to have them contact me & started avoiding my calls.

Reply to 24/7 comment: Publicly accusing a customer of fraud is a pretty serious accusation, especially when your facts aren’t straight in your reply. I had membership since the Yuma location opened, not for “6 months”. Great gym. Great equipment. A little busy at times but I've never waited more than a few minutes for a station I need. Pretty disappointing the child care area has several hours during the day they are closed and they close early. Doesn't make a lot of sense. Also the massage bed has been broken several times or quits working in the middle of a session.

Poor sanitation. Equipment is not routinely cleaned, and the floors are dirty. I've noticed a tic tac on the floor in the same place for over a week. The exercise mats are so dirty when I wipe them down after using the paper towel is black.

Terrible establishment! I signed up for a membership on the 28th of august and got covid shortly after… i was very sick and still not ok to workout… i never even went once. My card was still charged then when i contacted them to see if theyd refund or honor the 2 months when i was ok to return, they straight told me no and that since i didnt cancel in time i was gonna be sent to collections for this month?!?!mind you it took the manager reagan weeks to respond… I originally wanted a week pass and they never honored it … forcimg me to get a membership… When i was sick with covid the last thing on my mind was that more focused on surviving! What a sad establishment.. go across the freeway to planet fitness!

BEST gym in Yuma. Staff is always accommodating, helpful, and the place is ALWAYS clean. Even on the typical "busy days", you will never be waiting to use equipment. If you find yourself waiting, its typically a quick couple minutes to wait for the person's set to complete. The kids area is well regulated and safe and the staff in charge of the children's area is always so kind with all the kids. The gym is everything you are looking for. Ask for Reagan -- she's a gem.

The manager is rude and belittling. I was trying to ask about prices and classes. He snapped back his answer when it came to pricing. When I asked him some questions about a couple of the classes. He treated me like I was dumb.

The gym is nice but the manager is terrible and the other staff behind the desk spend a lot of time on their cell phones.

1/2020 Update, new manager.
3/10/2020 The class room now has spinner bikes. The room is usually crowded. It appears they are going to be either adding more classes or just have spinner classes. Either that or the the new management is clueless about how the entire room is used during classes. Numerous time I have seen people look into the and leave and mumble saying it is too full.

This 1 star is only for one instance but in this case it is warranted and needs to be addressed. We have been members for over a year with ZERO issues or complaints with staff or establishment, until now. My wife, children, and I are on a new schedule now for working out based on Covid restrictions and other things. This new schedule puts us using daycare and working out from 11-1ish. (COMPLAINT) During this timeframe there is a Workout support group Class going on for a block period. During this block period they are occupying 1/4 of the gym and an entire workout active training apparatus. They make no attempt to allow individuals, who also pay, to use this equipment or make arrangements to share. I have discussed this with the front desk and many other patrons who also understand and/or find this unacceptable. If they intend to run a “Private, segregated, support group” they NEED private equipment in order to avoid interfering with all other paying gym patrons. Please fix this -thanks-

My only complaint with this gym, is that trainers will do training sessions with a group and do circuits that take up so much equipment and equipment they’re not even using. I understand people want to do classes but there needs to be a designated room for it especially when most of the circuit doesn’t even use the equipment it’s blocking. Most of us are on time constraints and this isn’t fair that we have to compromise our workouts and what we pay to use because these trainers want to do these circuits . That’s like having 25 Zumba people out here in the main area .and because of how poorly this has been handled I gave it three stars. There’s been so many complaints and people talking to management about this issue and nothing changes.

Charged me a daycare fee while the daycare is closed during COVID. During the time the gym was closed I had fraud on my account which caused me to get issued a new one. This resulted in the monthly charges to not go through for May. I was told that in order to refund the child care charge they would have to charge me a $20 late fee for the payment not going through(which I cleared up on the spot). Zero understanding and Zero professionalism. They should not be charging a fee for something that's closed.

I was there just now I went to the front to ask if
a room was open, the blonde young lady was trying to answer me, when we were rudely interrupted by Chris, he did not even look at me.I started to walk away told them to forget it. I put headphones on so he thought I could hear him. He said something that I cannot repeat or write. I felt so hurt I did nothing to warrant this treatment I just had simple question.
I went to the young lady after Chris left and told her just because I had my headsets in I could still hear what he said, she apologized for him. I pay money for establishment no right to be treated this way.

Although the facility is nice with good airflow and new machines, I can't say the same about the staff and management. I came in to sign up on 6/25 and the staff member told me she'd give me a good deal by taking $20 off the enrollment fee, charging me only $40. Little did I know that on 6/26 they had a promotion charging only $4 for enrollment. She said nothing when I asked about what deals they have going on. The manager was there that day so this was not a matter of being uninformed but rather intentionally wringing the most out of customers. I literally paid 10x's more for enrollment because I'm 1 day too early? Worst of all, they deleted my comment about this on their FB post. Is this the U.S. or North Korea? I will not be silenced.

Good gym and very clean. Lots of machines for working out, even though when the gym it's full it has enough space that it doesn't feel crowded. Has a day care guys! Big cardio section and aerobic room for classes. If you sing for the premium, you get water massage table, classes, tanning room, and IR skin "health" conditioning room included. The price it's not crazy either. Wish they had some sports like basketball and racket ball courts could be a good addition. Maybe in the future.

I spent 3 months at this gym (3-4 days a wk) during my winter stay. Found staff very helpful and friendly, and gym/equipment always clean. The members using the gym were mostly friendly, and seemed to be enjoying their time spent on all the top notch equipment, or the classes that were offered.
My biggest enjoyment was training with Aaron O'Leary!! Great young man and trainer. Found Aaron very knowledgeable, he spent time putting together a variety of challenging weekly workout programs aimed for my personal goals.

This gym is pretty nice and the staff are awesome! However, if you are a serious weightlifter, like long-term committed relationship, NOT it's not your new year's resolution, nor you're serious because you just started; and, you work during the day, this gym is too crowded for you.
Winter visitors, if you want a social club there is a life fitness center close by that may suit your wants/needs more efficiently.

Friendly staff and sate of the art equipment. The gym can be crowded at peak times, and being the only top notch facility in the foothills it can get busy with winter visitors. That being said, I've never waited to use a piece of equipment for longer than just a couple moments. If you are looking to work with a personal trainer, I highly recommend Aaron. Staff definitely need more training especially the manager Michael when it comes to customer service. My husband I have been going to this gym for over half a year and pay an additional $10 a month for their childcare program. I took my nephew with us who was visiting from out of town because of the the holidays and I got charged $10 for 30 minutes, talk about rip offs! I asked to speak to the manager in reference to this and that was such a waste of time, such lack of customer service experience and training. When I asked to speak to the managers supervisor he refused to give me any information. I go to that gym to support our local community since it is locally owned however after this experience I will efinitely be looking into other options.

What a terrible GM Michael Martinez, kept wanting to talk about a $20 fee for a key fob when it was a completely moot point after discussing it with my insurance. They've been charging a $20 fee to multiple people with my insurance. Avoid since they don't know they're corporate policies.

Good weights and machines, so far not to crowded in the morning. Con is initial dealing with manager. Posted to arrive at 9:00 am Monday thru Saturday, but normally 5-10 minutes late. Pro is the facility is kept clean.

Awesome new state of the art equipment, friendly staff, clean, and most importantly AFFORDABLE! 100% recommend to anyone in the area! Oh and they provide childcare to families with little ones! So great!
