I have been a member of Anytime Fitness for over 14 years. My home state is Nevada. I travel frequently, I am usually able to find an Anytime Fitness nearby. I read the reviews for this facility before I worked out there. I don’t understand the negative reviews. The gym was clean, plenty of weight machines and free weights to get a great workout in. Everyone there was doing there own thing and were courteous about sharing a bench and stacking the weights back in the rack.

If you’re not fully committed to staying with a gym for a full year, I would strongly advise looking elsewhere. My experience with this facility has been extremely frustrating. I called and spoke to a staff member to inquire about canceling my membership. He assured me that I could cancel and explained that the manager had recently been let go, so he didn’t have computer access—but he would write my name down and have someone follow up to complete the cancellation.

Later, I received a call from the new manager who informed me that I would not be able to cancel under any circumstances, despite what I had previously been told.

As a business owner myself, I believe in standing behind what my team communicates to customers—even if it wasn’t the typical policy. It’s a matter of integrity and trust. Unfortunately, that was not the case here. Miscommunication happens, but refusing to honor what your own employee promised reflects poorly on how the business is run.

Pointless to join Anytime Fitness at this particular location. I’m not entirely sure why the staff consistently acts the way they do. I get that we all have bad days at work, but most have us don’t take it out on clients. Easier to drive a few more miles east on Tangerine to the OV location which is far cleaner.

I have been coming here for probably 10 years. When the new owners recently came in, my price nearly doubled AND without previous notice. The guy at the front desk wasn't even apologetic. I haven't been there since...until yesterday. This place is disgusting: Black mold in the toilets, the watering fountains are covered in calcium and unusable, the equipment was run down/filthy with VERY limited cleaning supplies out for customer use. They've also eliminated all the floor fans over by the treadmills, it was boiling hot. I'll never go back, I've already found another AF to go to.

A woman working out was tying up 5 different machines/stations. When I asked if I could just work in on one machine, she became confrontational. You need to put up signs and enforce this. It's ridiculous. I approached one of your trainers/managers (not Shelly or Mark....they're very courteous) a tall guy with glasses to discuss this and he told me, "I'm off today, I'm not supposed to be working." Then he just walked away from me. This is unacceptable.

My wife has been a member of this Anytime Fitness facility for the past 6 years, primarily due to its close proximity to our home.
Last week, she was denied entry. The new manager advised her that the gym does not accept silver sneakers .
She was advised that she could be reinstated if she decided to pay the full service fee "out of pocket."
Surprisingly, the website indicates that they accept Silver Sneakers coverage.
Mr.Manager- If your company does not accept silver sneakers, please remove this false and misleading info from your website.

I have been a customer for ten years because it is close to my home. For 9 of those years it has been a great experience until the current GM arrived and I Keep getting locked out of the building, when I talk to the GM he is abusive. The last time I got locked out he was not at the gym and he left a sign to call him when I called I got a an answering service when he called me back he scoulded me for not coming to see him ,he was not there.I am done and have enrolled in another gym Terrence Hamm ps the gym is in disrepair and nothing is fully operational.

Wrote them on October 4th requesting to cancel my membership. They replied on the 10th, which means that I have to do four more payments. Had they replied on the 4th or 5th I would only need to do 2 payments. How convenient (for them). Also half of the TVs on the treadmills are broken.

FYI there’s no staff at this location and they make u drive to the Silverbell one to speak to the GM if you wanna cancel. I’ve been calling for WEEKS trying to cancel my membership to no avail. I’m moving out of state and they require an in person cancellation with the GM who is only here a couple hours a day. Extremely inconsiderate gym. I’ll never use them again.

I recently joined this gym as it is my first gym i appreciate the whole anytime hour thing to feel more comfortable as a beginner. What is really demotivating is the amount im paying and equipment being broken, it is a very small gym which i dont mind being my goals arent super insane, but that has been a push back during my experience so far. its always pretty clean the staff has been friendly during my experience so far.

Been coming to various anytime locations for a few years. This location recently came under new management and has become my favorite location by far. All of the equipment is new and functions great. It is constantly cleaned by staff and ALL THE PLATES MATCH. Which is nice. Normally I wouldn’t leave a review good or bad but I

Management is terrible. My wife came in to fill out cancellation paperwork in March. We called seven times after that, had a manager from the Sunrise location call, and sent emails as well. Not a single call back and they have continued to bill us for 3 more months. They don’t ever answer the phone. This place is terribly run and now we are filing a claim with the BBB to try and get this place to stop billing us. We wouldn’t recommend using this gym.

I've been an Anytime Fitness member for over 10 years, but recently experienced an incident that has opened my eyes as to how this location runs their business. I was awaiting surgeries due to injuries to my shoulder and knee and went into the office to submit the form to freeze my account payments, which were automatically deducted from my bank account. Due to either an oversight or incompetence, they failed to process the request and continued deducting payments for five (5) months without my approval. When I discovered this error, they processed the request, but during the time my account was frozen the managing company (Bandon Fitness Inc.) placed my account into collections for non-payment, which affected my credit rating. I contacted this Anytime Fitness location, as well as the corporate offices of Anytime Fitness, and advised them of the issue. Although my account was pulled from collections, they then cancelled the account and placed it back into collections for the $35 cancellation fee, despite the fact that I maintained contact with them regarding my health status.

Anytime Fitness ended up never repaying the $185 they fraudulently deducted from my account and I've had to resort to filing a small claims lawsuit against the company in court. I contacted the corporate offices multiple times regarding this issue, in hopes that they could intervene so that I wouldn't have to take the measures I've been forced to take and they did everything at their level possible to remedy the issue, going as far as to contact the regional manager and his direct supervisor multiple times advising them to contact me in order to settle this issue, but six (6) weeks after their efforts I've yet to receive any contact from either the Anytime Fitness location with which I had the issue or either the regional manager and/or his direct supervisor, whom I assume is with Bandon Fitness Inc.

I've been attempting to resolve this issue for over 10 months. I love the idea of being able to access Anytime Fitness whenever I want to, but I oppose Anytime Fitness being able to access my bank account whenever they want to. I realize that mistakes occur, but when mistakes do occur I expect a business the correct the issues. In my opinion, this was a simple remedy and all that was necessary was communication, of which they've constantly refused to do, even at the direction from their corporate offices.

My next step while awaiting my court date is to contact the Better Business Bureau and file a complaint.

I signed up for a 2 yr membership and realized the floor equipment was old, not maintained and improperly assembled. I paid off the entire two year membership in front of the general manager. Unfortunately, her boss, Vince, would not allow her to cancel the membership, telling her to remove the auto renewal only and leave the account active. Due to Anytime fitness’s failure to cancel the contact after fully paying it off, they are in violation of their own contact. Stay away from this place. No company with integrity would ever force auto renewal on their customers.

WARNING - Unethical Business Practices! – When COVID hit in March we, like many others assumed it would soon pass, but come May I tried to contact them to stop our membership. I left multiple voice messages, and even contacted the parent company in June through their portal to try to find someone to talk to. No response. Finally, in July, I had Amex block their charges to my account.

Now I find a charge on my Amex in January. Huh? I called them to again cancel my account, this time Andrew the GM answers and tells me their ‘policy’ is that I have to come in person to cancel or send a certified letter. Why “in person”? so he can take a picture of me to prove I was there in person - that’s creepy! Or certified letter? These are transparent efforts to put up obstacles to leaving. I haven’t been in a grocery store since March, and it is my ‘policy’ to not walk in to businesses like this gym or the post office to hang out with a bunch of strangers when the pandemic is raging. It is peaking right now in AZ, but these guys don’t care.

So, I go back to Amex to block them again and I find that they started charging me again in September! How’s that when they were blocked? They changed the merchant ID so Amex wouldn’t recognize it and started hitting my account again. I have now disputed those charges and blocked them again. If they hit my account again, I will be reporting them for fraud.

Let’s face it, when a business starts using slimy business practices to keep you from leaving its time to find the emergency exit! And check out Google reviews, I am not alone with this type of complaint…buyer beware!

The lack of management and unprofessionalism from the gym owners at this location is absolutely horrid!

Our contract was up on August 31, 2020 yet they continued to charge us on September 1, 2020 and overdrew our bank account. We called the day of, left a message and sent an email asking for management to call us back. We heard nothing! I called again the next afternoon and left another message and sent a follow up email. Still zero communication from management to this day - September 14, 2020. We contacted our bank, opened up an investigation and disputed the charges. We’ve now had to change our debit card number to stop fraudulent charges from occurring again from Anytime Fitness on Tangerine.

To the managers, you need some training to truly understand how to treat your customers. I will make sure everyone I know knows to stay far away from your gym. You are horrible!!!!!!

This is a 24/7 GYM (affected by COVID State Policies) and personally, I don't sweat the small things about the gym (occasional dust). I can come in and get my workout done without any bother. The trainers are great and the staff has undergone a change, but I don't go to the gym to deal with the staff.

I like to do the Compound lifts (Bench, Deadlift, Squat) and if you like to scream and drop your weights, don't go in 11am-2pm, when many of the older clients are there. I like the fact that I can get up at 3am and get my workout done before work, with out running into anyone. If you want to get in and get out, this is the gym for you. You only get out of a gym what you put into it and the price for having a 24hr facility open to me worth the price and if I have to travel, I can use their facilities where I am traveling to.

The Environment: The equipment is well maintained and for the most part, it is a clean environment that takes step to provide cleaning supplies even before the Corona Virus. I am a bit anti social when I am at the gym, but I loved the Zumba Class. I love the diverse community and Marana has very good mix of ages of people who use the gym. Try it out and try it out a few times during different periods of the day. Judging a gym during their peak times (6a-8a, 11a-1p, 5p-9p) isn't doing this wonderful gym justice. There is enough equipment and space to keep you workouts varied and your goals achieved! Thank you Anytime Fitness!!

I have read a lot of reviews about the Management: I have dealt with the the previous management and current management and have had never had an issue with them. I work in a high stress environment and try to treat people the way I want to be treated. I have always been treated politely and with respect.

The Equipment: The gym equipment for this small gym is exactly what you need for HIIT, CrossFit, Power Lifting (though most gym goers don't like the noise), and straight for Cardio, Circuit, Free WT combinations. You are not paying for a big box, cookie cutter gym. You are getting 24/7 access to well maintained and ample variety of gym equipment and the space to tailor a workout for yourself.

Overall - I have been a member well over 5yrs and I lost 72lbs using this gym before my injury sidelined me. If you are committed yourself and making your goals a reality on your own terms, this is the gym for you.

Great community. All the members seem to get after it in their own way. Weight room area is small, HOWEVER, has everything one might need. This location failed to inform us that we had to provide a written request to cancel our membership with them when we departed Arizona in September 2016. Because of this, we have been charged every month since then, without ever using any Anytime Fitness services. It also leaves us without any written proof of our request to cancel the service, which is pretty convenient for this location.

I realize I'm not in a good position to back this claim and get a refund, but we were treated poorly and charged because the employees here couldn't be bothered to give us proper instructions. Because of this suspicious oversight, they got to keep taking our money because we expected them to do the right thing. Thanks to this I don't plan to use Anytime Fitness ever again, and will recommend to others that they avoid it as well.

I've been a member of Anytime Fitness for over 2 years (this gym is not my home gym). I travel for a living and have been to dozens of Anytime Fitness locations over the years, and I know that they are a great company. This gym needs a management check. Once the management changes and Jackie no longer works there, it will be a decent facility, but until then don't wast your time. I have a small special needs service dog that travels with me everywhere and I can't leave my dog in the car in the Arizona heat, so I placed her in her small travel bag and I had her next to my while I was using the stationary bike, and Jackie asked me to leave.

Clarification regarding the $14 withdrawal, each club is individually owned. That charge came from another club. Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on your point of view) we cannot stop charges that other clubs continue to charge after cancellation. Hence, your complaint does not apply to this location. Have only been a member for a couple of months and was out of town for half of that period, so not a whole lot to tell: Timing is everything; there's lots of equipment to utilize and depending on preference, it's usually available. The premises are clean and pleasant enough. I find that the class room is far too small for the activities that are using it and I've only been able to attend classes a couple of times -- I can't imagine what it would be like if membership increases to capacity
