Spa visit, one of the few places around with reasonable rates so I'll return if they keep it that way. The amenities here are also awesome in the locker room: relax lounge, sauna, steam room, cold plunge and "hot" tub and plenty of toiletries and towels. Staff and members seem nice too. If they had a gym like this in the west valley I'd have a membership in a heartbeat.

Iβve really enjoyed my membership at the Camelback Village. The facility is overall in good shape and offers a wide variety of classes β from hot yoga to spin β that rival what youβll find elsewhere in the community. While some areas, like the carpets and a few pieces of weight room equipment, could use an update or deeper cleaning, those are minor compared to the many positives. One of my favorite parts of being a member is the womenβs locker room, which is the perfect place to unwind after a workout with the sauna, showers, and the peaceful recovery room. Overall, Iβd give it 4.5 stars if that were an option.

The Village is my happy place. I went through a nasty injury and the wonderful people who work there and the place itself, made my healing journey much easier.
It has a fantastic workout facility, BEST hot yoga classes (LOVE the instructors) and a warm, welcoming staff!
There is also a little boutique that carrieβs the most adorable outfits and beautiful accessories for a decent price.

Clean club. Great customer service. Many member activities. Unfortunately they do not enforce the βNo camera / cell phonesβ rule in the sauna, steam, and jacuzzi rooms. Every day there are teenagers, and adults, on their phones in those areas.

I have tried to hold off and give Village some time. However, value prop stinks. DMB keeps raising prices and menβs sauna, steam room and jacuzzi have been closed for THREE MONTHS in renovation. And today they were using a jack hammerβ¦so it is not going to be ready anytime soon. Sure, I can drive 25 minutes to another club for steam room relaxation, but that eliminates a full hour from my day. For a couple to spend close to $400 per monthβ¦give some refunds to Camelback community that supports your club! Update 2/28. Originally remodel was to be done in January. Since your reply to my review it has been delayed again until week of March 10 - not March 3.

My husband and I toured the village 4 days ago. We were super impressed. Elise gave us a tour and left nothing out, she was friendly and approachable. We have been using our VIP pass, but cannot wait to start our membership! The classes we have taken have been outstanding, the locker rooms are fully stocked and comfortable, the demographic of people are all ages, and most people are friendly. There are lots of options to choose from, and there is a year-round, heated pool! And a bar? yes friend, a bar!

We have had a family membership for several years. We have seen staff come and go. Several qualities and/or competencies that stand out: The management of this location has consistently maintained a high quality of service golds; and As staff leave, for what ever reason, the core values is that of high customer service. For example: At the first point of contact entering the facility, customers are greeted with a smile and as they exit ..the phrase most common is "have a great day". The facility itself, is maintained extremely clean at all times. The equipment is updated as necessary. The program offerings are exceptional [a wide range of programs for all customers, even the little rug rats]. Operating hours are established to meet the customer needs, even through holidays. All the above speaks volumes of the leadership and management of this location. Thank you...Dr. Ruben R. Lara

I would generally give Village Camelback 4 stars but there are a few things over the past several months that have caused me to back off of the higher rating. I'll list those below in order of priority, with one (1) being the most important to us.
1. Lights on the tennis courts are not very good. Court 1 is excellent as it has LED lighting. It's not just me, I hear fellow members complain regularly that parks like, Kiwanis, Indian School Park and PTC have better lights.
2. Men's locker room. Not very inviting and the floors consistently appear wet and dirty. Sauna is tiny for such a large facility and the steam room looks like it was built in the 1980s with no changes made.
3. Coffee service. I would venture to guess that our members (collectively) have money to spend ($4-$8) on good coffee drinks. Please please please, consider installing a coffee service that can make items such as lattes, mochas, espressos etc. You would be saving many morning goers a trip to Starbucks, Hava Java, The Henry etc... Ex: finish workout, place coffee order, shower, dress, pickup coffee and go to work..
Overall a wonderful place with incredible employees and even better members. It is our sanctuary that is a little rough around the edges. Just a few changes will enhance everyone's experience.
Last complaint: Our rates have been raised over the past two years. We understand inflationary pressures. That said, WHY ARE WE WASTING ELECTRICITY (AND PAYING FOR IT), BY TURNING THE COURT LIGHTS OFF 1.5HRS AFTER SUNRISE, AND WHY ARE WE TURNING THEM ON A GOOD HOUR BEFORE THE SUN SETS. THAT 2-3HRS OF PAYING FOR LESS POWER COULD BE A BOOST TO THE CLUB'S BOTTOM LINE.

Arriving just five minutes late for our 4 PM pre-scheduled tour, my family and I were overlooked for a walk-in, leading to a 30-minute wait without any communication from the staff.
This lack of consideration and poor customer service during our initial visit has prompted us to look elsewhere for a health club that values prospective members. Such disregard raises concerns about the overall member experience. You might want to reconsider your options when evaluating this location.

This is an amazing gym. The classes are great, the facilities are fantastic, the childcare is superb, and the staff canβt be beat. In addition to all of this, there is also a good cafe, bar, park and more. They are always doing fun events, parent nights, and other outings. I have been a member for four years and feel so lucky to have found the camelback village. It is way more than a gym. It is a very special place. Thanks camelback village team. You rock!!!

Do not join here, especially if you are joining for tennis. The village lets its employees walk all over its members. If you complain to a director or the general manager, you will experience retaliation. Employees are disrespectful and gossip behind membersβ backs. Employees break the rules without consequence. They do favors for their friends - for instance, book courts for their friends before member are able to book courts. There is open hostility at times from employees, including yelling and cussing. Many of employees drink to excess on nights and weekends. Many times, I have seen these employees try to drive home. I have seen drunk employees yell at members in front of large groups without repercussion. I have seen employees order a beer, pour it into a styrofoam cup, and walk to their car with their toddler and drive off. The general manager is passive aggressive and misogynistic. Carol - the president - doesnβt care about anything except for making as much money as possible.

I have been a member for quite a while, and happy taking all the classes that the village offers, but now they decide to charge for classes that they were included in my membership, I donβt think is fair for old members, I understand that Covid set everybody back but I think that at least the old members shouldnβt be paying for clases that were free in the past.

Good place, very clean, wide variety of activities and classes offered. However, I am disappointed in 2 areas. First, thereβs arenβt any tennis doubles clinics where you can learn doubles strategy and tactics, which is very important if you are a doubles player, as many people are, and you want to grow your tennis skills beyond how to hit a forehand, backhand, and learn other basic βstrokesβ . The Village needs to go beyond basic strokes and teach strategy and tactics if it really wants to be an outstanding tennis club. The last club I belonged to (another state) had clinics that taught these skills, and beyond, every week. Second although the Village has a significant percent of members who are middle aged, (since itβs quite expensive, many young people wouldnβt be able to afford it) theyβve donβt offer any classes targeted at normal middle age issues these members are normally are faced with -thinning bones, reduced balance, compromised posture, etc. Iβve made suggestions in these areas a couple times, sadly to no avail.

90% of my time at this gym has been outstanding. The reason for the lower score is due to a bad experience with a trainer - not my trainers - but one that was extremely rude and only focused on his needs. I love my trainer Travis and the classes I go to during the week. Great instructors like Tori Renee Karen and Ted. And love the spa and Peggy for massages.

I love the Village. I have been a member here off and on since 2007 when I moved back to the Valley. The facilities are great and the staff is friendly. I like the fact that I can come and work remotely, have lunch or go the spa, even if I'm not working out. I guess my only complaint is that there are no outdoor pickleball courts; I understand it's always been a "tennis club" but...I guess if that's not going to happen, then have more days/times for indoor pickleball. Regardless, there are still tons of activities available for members and their families/guests to take advantage of.

I came to the club, with a friend who is a member and has came multiple times. We were stopped at the door by 3 front desk workers Adal, Savanna, and Harris. We were told to wait for 20 minutes while their manager was doing something which they cannot share with us. We stood by the door waiting for access after definitively sending diagrams to her parents permitting our entry. I hope you have a chance to be treated with this disrespectful demeanor once again.

Gorgeous courts. But, donβt get your hopes up of reserving one. They block out 9 courts for womenβs leagues from 8:30-11:30 all week. So you get to fight over 3 courts for the entire club. I maybe got a court once a week at 11am! Not worth $200/mo membership to rarely get a court.

The front desk manager is a rude person. We went last night, and I asked the girl at the desk if I can speak to someone in membership. She seemed confused and needed to discuss with a guy behind the counter. The guy comes to me and wants my info in the kiosk and wants a copy of my driver's license. I told him I just have a couple questions for a membership person. He says if I dont give my driver's license then I'm not talking to anyone. I said I will go to another gym then. He replies..."See Ya!".
It's a shame that a nice gym can be ruined by rude employees. Sounds like they dont need new members.

Overcrowded. Not enough parking. Your luxury cars will get scratched because parking spots are hardly regulation size. There are no decent TVs in the weight room to keep up with sports, only 1 is a real TV (small), the other two are looping ads about how awesome the Village is. Thereβs rarely ANY good music playing. The recent remodel clearly didnβt include user feedback as the place is as much of a cluster as it was before. With all of the wealthy members, Iβm shocked the Club has not have increased the dues to lower their membership count but retain revenue. Nope, still running it worse for potential members while the place is completely over. Poor management. The staff, instructors and geographic location should get 5 stars, management gets 2.

-It's a huge facility but they still need a large open room for those of us who need our "space". I often like to do plyometrics or some yoga, but they don't have space, especially during busier hours or when they have classes. I often see people working out in the hallways. Unacceptable.
-parking during morning and afternoon peak hours is bad. Don't park in AJ's parking lot.
-Lack of attractive people. It's very inspiring and motivating when you work-out along good looking people.
Pros:
-I These clubs host many fun events.
-Family friendly.
-Lots of amenities like towel service, restaurant, many tennis courts, pool, clean locker room, basketball court, lots of guided classes.
-Very clean.
-People that go here are educated and friendly.
-Friendly staff.
-Valet Parking (oh my god, really!)
-lots of equipment.
-Spa inside of facility.
-lots of tennis courts.
-locker rooms have dry and steam sauna as well as large jacuzzi.
-Towel service.

The staff is helpful at getting everything settled. The zumba teacher can be very positive, even if you're new!

Nice facility but way too expensive. Customer service when you cancel membership leaves a lot to be desired too.

I liked it until membership department employee "Kimber" totally offended me with racist remark.

This place is pricey and it is probably more of a country club than a gym, and that's a negative for some, but not for me. I love the amenities, I love the environment, the staff are always very welcoming and helpful, the cardio and weights are everything I need (granted I'm not an Olympic weightlifter) and the shower, steam, sauna, hot tub and ice bath are the perfect way to wind down a workout. I have tried a few of the yoga and spin classes and enjoy those as well.
Great basketball, tennis, racquetball, squash, and pool facilities as well. And you can't beat the setting at the base of Camelback. Again, its not cheap and its not for everyone, but the Village is far and away my favorite spot for an enjoyable workout in the Phoenix area. Highly recommend.

I just joined this place as my friends are members and it's lovely.
If I could spend every day here I would.
I am trying to get fit playing squash and hope to gain more energy from my activity.
Not too expensive I think
