Dave is passionate about fitness and it shows through the energy and enthusiasm he brings to every workout. His easy going, his friendly personality creates a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere. I was introduced to David at Catalyst Fitness a few months after I had my second child and I will be forever thankful for all that he has done for me. Not only did I still have the extra baby weight and feeling down, but I was having severe lower back pain. He eased me into learning how to workout and not long after I started training, I was feeling much better about myself, fitting in clothes again, and my back pain was gone. I recently sprained my ankle and have been wearing a boot and he has been so accommodating and great about coming up with effective workouts I still can do. He's made me realize that staying in shape will keep me feeling happy and giving me the energy I need to be a full-time working mom. It's also a very fun atmosphere and I've made some great friends at Catalyst Fitness. Thank you, David and Ryder (his adorable pup)!

Shout out to Dave!!😄 . . .
I first started coming to David Waring because of my bad back, in hopes of strengthening my core to ease the pain. I am not only pain free now, I am also seeing muscles I never knew I had before!! I have tons of energy and just feel better all around. Dave is so positive and motivating. He makes the workouts fun, all while pushing you to your maximum effort. What makes Dave stand out from other personal trainers is his attitude, along with his passion of researching new exercises and techniques to completely customize each workout to the individual. He has always been so cautious of my back and is continuously trying to find the most effective yet noninvasive exercises for me. So mission accomplished!! I didn’t start working out regularly until I was 43 years old, when I found Dave at Catalyst Fitness. Sure, I gave it a go here and there, but never felt comfortable in a gym setting, figuring out what to do for myself. I was intimidated and it was something I dreaded. I’d make any excuse not to go. With Dave I found the encouragement, and accountability that I needed. I appreciate that he is flexible with my schedule so that I can get my workouts in no matter what. For the past 4 years I have worked out regularly, and I even look forward to going. Dave is very tuned in to my goals and pushes me in a positive way that I respond to well. I’m not the easiest client, I know, but Dave has found a way to reach me. Now, I can’t imagine NOT making me a priority, because of Dave.

I was hesitant about getting a trainer but I decided to try it out for the first time with Dave. I started 8 months before I got married and by the time it was wedding time I felt amazing! With two kids it is hard to get into the gym regularly but he is flexible and adjusts his time to ensure I get in my weekly workouts. He made me enjoy working out again! Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

As one of David’s long-time clients I can honestly say that his studio and training style are the reasons I’ve stayed with a fitness plan over the past 4 years. The studio is well-appointed but intimate; other clients become your friends; he adapts your training and goals to your current needs, taking into account injury, illness or just to shake things up. His pricing is fair and, unlike many trainers I’ve encountered, he is humble and open to new information and ideas. Wish he could open a franchise now that I’ve moved away from Scottsdale but glad that I’m still welcome when I come back for a visit.

If you are looking for a trainer, or a healthy way to get in shape, you won't find a better gym out there for twice the money. Dave's personal attention ensures that you will not only get a great workout, but do it safely and with correct form. He has helped me get on a track of fitness I never imagined for myself. Its led from being pretty sedentary to exercising on a daily basis. I am well on my way to being in the best shape I have ever been in, thanks to Dave. This healthy change has included help with dietary choices, creating a personal exercise regimen, and with being a supportive voice when I need it....in and out of the gym. There is almost a family vibe at Catalyst, and everyone is very encouraging and helpful with each other. Its a fun place to work out, and I can't recommend it highly enough.
