I recently moved to the east side of town and couldn't go to the Tucson Mall location anymore because of time constraints. I went to the Grant Rd location and was happily surprised to see how flawless the transition was to move from my OG location to my new location. A few of the things that I love about this location are the layout of the gym, the staff, and the class schedule along with the Chuze blends bar. There are of course other things that make this location a top choice and enjoyable like the additional equipment in the Cinema, the placement of the free weights, cable lifting equipment and the express circuit. Thank for being by far the best gym experience I've had the pleasure of enjoying.

I posted a review a few months ago for Chuze Fitness on Grant, and mentioned that their broadcasting of politics-related material on the televisions was unpleasant and unwelcoming for many people not sharing those values.

Chuze has been a pleasure to workout in . The staff and the facilities are really nice. Along with so many ways to train . It’s really ideal . Whether it be free weights , machines or cardio. Along with one of my favorite features being the pool , the theater, and to finish it off the hydro massage. The members that go here are great as well. Great equipment. The set up/ layout is nice and all the amenities are high quality. Only $10 a month come on that's a great deal. Unfortunately it's almost always super packed M-S from 12noon till close. The men's locker rooms aroma is hard to digest and it's not a friendly atmosphere vibe from employees and customers. Other than that I do spend a lot of time there it's my second home and I like it.

I had to cancel my Chuze membership due to medical complications. When I called to cancel I wasn't guided properly and therefore sent to collections. This gym has a great atmosphere - you're only competing with yourself. Both the staff and members are friendly. The gym is quite clean. The equipment is plentiful - you're rarely waiting a long time. Equipment is also well-maintained.

My wife and I are OGs - we've been members for almost 10 years. in addition to all the good reasons I've mentioned above, if you lose or misplace something there, you'll get it back. We've literally made hundreds of visits during our memberships, and over that time we've misplaced a radio, sunglasses, a book, even keys. They were always turned into the front desk by other gym users, and the front desk staff don't throw those items out - they hold onto them for quite awhile and they'll always take the time to go through the lost and found area on request! Another benefit of this great gym!

*edit, responding to Chuze response on my review - no, actually, it is NOT just two days a week. This has been long confirmed at my local locations. Please don’t respond with inaccurate information as though this is all in any way my fault.

Get your information cleared up clarified and most importantly, coordinated between yourself and corporate and all your individual locations. Stop having only morning classes, and stop having classes at the same times at the only two Chuze locations in town with an actual pool. You guys are not inspiring confidence for me to stick around when you respond to my review with MORE inaccurate information. Ridiculous.

Original review:

Don’t come here in the morning time if you need to make use of the pool/hot tub / sauna / steam room area. Steam room is either broken, not reading the temperature correctly or is working but the sound of it working is a deafening 90+ decibels (yes it’s been measured).

The swimming pool has morning classes from 3, to now 4, to maybe more times a week (from what I hear), all in the mornings. At least half of these classes need to be switched to early afternoon - evenings. Even it out, guys. Seriously.

Sometimes the entire pool and hot tub area is 100% shut down because of biohazard human waste, which I hate to say, is a common theme for many attendees of the aquafit morning classes where they completely take over the pool and kick you out. Expect some biohazard Incontinent waste every 2-3 months to shut down the area for up to several days sometimes - since many times this number changes.

Does it matter you’re paying $25 premium a month for membership? Of course not. You’ll still be booted from the pool. Are there any notifications ever sent out when the pool or hot tub is closed? Nope.

Their schedules for everything are constantly shifting - that’s assuming everything is working though, of course. The hot tub is also shut down in the mornings (or is it the afternoon now? Between the grant and oracle Chuze locations and their ever changing schedules for aquafit classes and hot tub cleanings and randomly broken steam rooms, it’s a bit difficult for me to keep track of all the chaos).

I don’t want to have to call my gym every single time I’m planning to head out there just to make sure everything im paying them money to use is actually USABLE.

Unfortunately I forgot to do that today, having not been able to sleep because of muscle spasms from a twisted broken vertebrae over a decade ago, thus wasted yet another trip of time money gas and energy making it out there for no damn reason at all. The only way through my physical therapy is swimming and soaking - and Chuze is no longer reliable for me in this regard.

It also took them over a month to fix the men’s swimsuit dryer in the locker room. Oh also, the sauna will vary from 120-140f. They revamped the entire sauna area and seemingly made it better … but kept the same old broken down doors that DO NOT CLOSE all the way - why can’t you seal the SAUNA doors?? NO proper sauna heat is actually maintained. Yikes.

I like the staff. I have no problems with them; this is a bad review for REGIONAL management (not this single location) and CORPORATE Chuze CUTTING CORNERS and who are thus not providing the correct maintenance and repairs for the ever breaking devices (or offering a consistent schedule for ).

If you go swimming in the afternoons and after (or need a gym for anything other than a reliable pool area), these guys can probably work for you.

As someone who’s from San Diego, I’ve been to a lot of gyms, but none even come close to the experience at Chuze in Arizona. The facility is massive, spotless, and has every piece of equipment you could ask for. I absolutely love the cool movie cardio area, it’s so fun to watch movies while getting in a solid workout. Plus, the individual saunas make for such a relaxing post-workout experience, which I haven’t seen in any gym back home.

On top of that, the outdoor area is a perfect spot to stretch out or enjoy a breath of fresh air. The staff is always friendly, and the whole vibe is welcoming and positive.

Honestly, gyms in San Diego don’t compare when it comes to the level of amenities, cleanliness, and overall experience. If I lived in Arizona, this would definitely be my go-to spot. Highly recommend if you're looking for a top-tier gym experience!

I’m a regular visitor to this gym, but I’ve noticed that the cleanliness of the spa area—especially the hot tub—is consistently poor. The water often looks dirty and filled with excessive foam, as shown in the attached pictures. It’s not only unpleasant but also feels unsanitary. This location seriously lacks proper maintenance and hygiene standards compared to other branches. Please address this issue as soon as possible.

Once just once I would like to be able to join my gym membership by going to the sauna and not having someone in there with GYM shoes on . There should be proper attire and gym etiquette in the sauna. Definitely not gym shoes. They need to understand thats extremely gross when trying to relax in the sauna and someone comes straight off the gym floor into the sauna with out showering or changing and stinks up the sauna 🤮 Edit so they have replied showing they see no issue with this despite the smell and obvious health issue with this as most people dont go swimming with sneakers either so why would you go into the sauna or steam room with them ? I have been going to the gym for `the past 5 years. It is without a doubt the best one in the city without fail. Everything is spread out with enough room to focus on yourself while also not feeling cramped in.

Squat racks are everywhere some in front of mirrors to correct and watch form, others facing a wall where you can focus on yourself without feeling exposed.

I’ve been a member for almost 2 years and I mainly chose this gym because of the kids club they offer. My daughter was 6 months old when she started going and the staff is world class. As a first time mom I was pretty nervous leaving her alone but within a couple of visits the staff was greeting us by name and treat my daughter like their own. The gym in general is great! Friendly staff and lots of machines. I especially love their kids club! They all know my son by name and know his favorite toys that he loves to play with. He’s come home with several art projects! It’s hard to leave your child but the girls there are either moms themselves or they’ve been working at Chuze for a long time and they know how to take care of kids! I have been a member at this location for over 3 years. Even after moving closer to a different gym, I stayed here at Grant/Craycroft. The staff has always been very friendly and you can tell they are passionate about their jobs. The gym is always clean. I would recommend this location in particular to anyone looking for a good all around gym experience.

I usually go to the gym in the evening and am happy that they are open until midnight. It makes my fitness routine a lot easier. The night crew does an amazing job!

I came from Planet Fitness. The only thing Planet Fitness had that Chuze didn't was the Total Body Enhancement. It's basically a red-light booth that has an option to vibrate you from the floor on the panel. A lot of people didn't know it was an option you have to turn on. Anyways, Chuze had so much more amenities than Planet Fitness. The main reason I switched was because of the Steam room. Nobody can get the cardio going enough to make you sweat like a good ole steam room. It is so important to release those toxins the body builds up through sweating, and it makes you feel so good after you're done! Don't forget Chuze has a pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and a booming Cinema Room. You can feel the bass hitting good for the people that want to workout and watch a movie. Somewhat decent movies too. Overall I am sticking with Chuze! One more thing to worry about with Chuze is they charge you an annual fee after I think a month of when you start up. It's 56 dollars. Just FYI. To me it's worth it though. Also it seems to be a lot busier than Planet Fitness, but I can see why after doing the 7 day free trial. Last but not least, Chuze has a ton more free weight lifting amenities!!

I'm writing to express my disappointment with the Kids Club service at your facility. After researching and signing up for a membership, I was excited to utilize the childcare services while I worked out. However, my experience fell short of expectations.

Your website promises "organized fun activities" and a staff of "kid aficionados." Unfortunately, during my visit, I observed that the Kids Club relied heavily on TV viewing, with little to no engagement in activities, arts and crafts, or socialization.

As a parent, it's unsettling to leave my children, especially my one-year-old, in an environment where they're not being adequately supervised or engaged. I was disturbed to see workers neglecting the children, and instead of interacting with them, they seemed disinterested.

I've attached photos from your website and my visit, highlighting the disparity between the advertised service and the actual experience. I urge you to reassess the Kids Club service and consider adding more toys, activities, and engaging experiences for children. This would better align with your advertised promise and provide a more enjoyable and safe environment for parents to leave their children. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

DJ & his crew keep the club so clean. They are very diligent when dusting, vacuuming, mopping and all activities keeping the club pristine clean. I have been a member of 15+ clubs over the years (yes I am a senior) and the Chuze Fitness on Grant is BY FAR (no comparison) the cleanest club. And it is not just a one-off, the club is kept pristine day in and day out. Another thought.......this is the one and only club I have not complained about the cleanliness. I have the pleasure of continuously saying "thank you" to the Team for their efforts They are also very courteous!!

Treadmill stopped mid-run: no warming or slow down. 2nd time it happened on the same machine after having reported it the first time Overall, gym needs new equipment, but tread mills especially. Multiple machines are repaired every week

Chuze Fitness is large and very clean facility, the staff is friendly and helpful, there are many exercise machines, a large “weight” area so it never feels crowed. Swimming pool wait times are minimal.
