Dropped in a few times over spring break and had a great experience! The workouts were challenging, and could also be tailored to all walks of life and fitness levels. Super welcoming vibe, knowledgeable and supportive coaches, and a great community feel. Highly recommend if you're in the area!

Very nice gym! Coach was knowledgeable and helpful throughout the workout and members were nice. Dropped in from out of state, love that they follow Mayhem programming. We were able to keep on track with our strength training cycle. Definitely recommend!

My sister and I dropped in for a few classes and I have never felt so welcomed as a visiting member. The community of this gym is unmatched, and they were all so kind! Tiersa was easy to communicate with and was so generous as an owner and athlete. We had a 30+ minute commute to the gym and it was worth every minute! We hope to be back again!

Great gym community! I joined CrossFit because I wanted to work on strength training in a group environment. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly and the coaches are awesome. There's always a modification for anything so that everyone gets a good challenge no matter the ability level. I've never been so supported, encouraged, and pushed to be my best as I have at CFP! Would definitely recommend to anyone nervous about trying it!

Really great community at this gym. Owner and coaches have a good culture and are very welcoming and encouraging. Gym is kept tidy and clean, just the way I like it, and just the way my wife keeps our house, and just the way I keep our house unless I want to get in trouble…

High quality coaching, great community, fantastic people. I live in North Mesa but it’s worth it to me to drive past a lot of closer gym options for the right coaching and people. 5am class and crew are the best!
Highly recommend.

I’ve been a member at CFP for 5 years & I absolutely love it! It’s not your typical CrossFit gym. There are members at all different fitness levels & the coaches actually care about making you better every time you come into the gym. The atmosphere and culture is so positive. It feels like family!

My wife and I joined CrossFit preferred in attempt to set both our lives back on a healthy lifestyle. She never did CrossFit before while I’ve done CrossFit for 10+yrs and gone to many gyms (also 10+ different gyms and locations).

Among all of them, CrossFit preferred is the best combination of important factors that I’ve found: quality coaching, quality programming, good facilities, and an especially connective community.

Also both my wife and I are still there 2 yrs later and love it! Highly recommend for anyone at any fitness level!

Love this place. I’ve been coming here for years. Well worth coming to a place that has the program and class ready at set times. Half the time at a normal gym I wasn’t pushed with a group. It’s a great environment and I highly recommend this gym. Also it’s a place for all levels so everyone can get a great work out in.

Great community and team of coaches. I worked with the owner, Tiersa, for over a year on my nutrition and workout plan. I’ve been an athlete my whole life so I didn’t think I’d learn that much, just wanted some accountability… I ended up gaining so many helpful insights and ways to maintain a healthier lifestyle without feeling restricted. Not an easy feat for a working mom! I truly appreciate all of her support!

This place is great! I went in really skeptical, and really wasn't expecting to be able to justify paying for CrossFit. I committed my self to 3 months before I had signed up, but was ok with quitting if I felt like I couldn't justify the commitment after that.
Now I can't imagine life with out it. The owners are great, the coaches are great, the classes are (mostly) fun! I'm only disappointed I didn't start sooner.

I've only had a membership to one other crossfit place and I've had multiple memberships to regular gyms. In the 45 days that I've been at CrossFit preferred I do have to say I've seen more results than ever before at any gym that I've ever been a member of!
CrossFit preferred coaches are by far the best I've ever worked with. like I said I had a membership at a previous CrossFit place and it was good and the coaches were very nice but CrossFit preferred coaches take the time to walk newbies through each workout and make sure that their form looks good before adding weight and possibly injuring themselves.
As far as results I have been working with Crossfit preferred on my diet and macros and they have been a pleasure to work with. I have never done macros before and Tiersa and Tara have both been very helpful and making me understand how to log my food.
The overall atmosphere is amazing! Everyone who attends and works out with me is very helpful and friendly and the camaraderie is very strong! All the coaches that I have worked with including Tara, Amy, Bree and Patrick are amazing!!
I highly suggest you try out CrossFit preferred because if you're serious about gaining strength, losing weight or just being more healthy then this is definitely the place for you!!

Great place. I actually just moved here about 3 1/2 months ago checked out two other places that ended up not being a fit for me. When I came to CrossFit Preferred I immediately knew I had found my home.

Love the fact it’s very competitive, I’m continually strengthening my body, pushing myself to achieve things I didn’t think I would be able to do at my age. Coaches are great and very very helpful. And a added bonus is the other people at CrossFit Preferred.

They get two thumbs up for me!!!

My name is Sophia and I am 15 years old. Before I started running, I trained as a competitive swimmer for 4.5 years. That consisted of training six days a week with double workouts on some days. My days were always the same: eat, school, swim, sleep, repeat. I stopped swimming in December, but I wanted a short-term goal to work up to. I was always told by my coaches that I was a good runner so I decided to see what opportunities that could bring me. I also wanted to incorporate CrossFit workouts with the running. I met with Kris and Tiersa LeSueur at CrossFit Preferred and discussed what I was interested in and that I wanted to run a half marathon. Kris LeSueur reached out to me and offered to train me for a half marathon. I accepted and was so appreciative that he could help me.

At the beginning of this process, the longest I had ever run was 4.2 miles and this was only at Pat’s Run. I knew that I had a long way to go, but I was ready for the challenge. Kris wanted me to run 3-4 times a week. I had the time and was excited, so I agreed. We decided on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. I also incorporated gym workouts throughout this process. At first I was going to run in the P.F Chang’s Rock n’ Roll Half Marathon, but Kris and I agreed that I could run my best at the Phoenix Half Marathon because it gave us some more time. On Mondays, I would run to get some miles in and to work on breathing and pace. On Wednesdays, my Dad and I would go to the CrossFit Preferred endurance workouts at the Highland high school track. I remember the first time we went to the track workout. My dad and I got there super early and were nervously waiting for people to show up. When we got out on the track to meet everyone, it was freezing cold and pitch black. I was rethinking this whole thing! Then we did the workout. It kicked my butt! I have never run fast intervals in my life. The next couple hours at school my legs felt like noodles, but I loved the feeling of accomplishment that it left me with. Now I look forward to the Wednesday morning track workouts with the group. Everyone is so supportive and friendly (not to mention super-fast). It is a fun group. Kris helps me with form and techniques at the track. I learned that the little things can make a big difference, like keeping my arms lower, relaxing my shoulders, moving my feet faster, and landing on the middle of my foot. On Fridays, I would do a short 2-3 mile run. This would keep my body moving and prepare me for the next day. On Saturdays, I had my long runs that would increase in mileage each week. My mom took some short video clips on my long runs that I would send to Kris so he could watch and review my running. For my birthday in January, my parents bought me a Garmin to track my runs. It is the coolest thing ever. Before I had the watch, I used the app, Map My Run, which worked well, but it was a little off on the distances and paces. After each run, I sent screenshots of my run which included my time, splits, heart rate, and more. Kris reviewed my runs and gave me feedback and advice. I also learned that stretching and rolling out was a big part of recovery that I was never used to. After some of my longer runs, my legs were tired but stretching and foam rolling really helped with my recovery. I’ve noticed that my legs have become much stronger because I am using the muscles in a different way. It is so cool to see transformation between different forms of exercise.

Overall, my experience was one that I will never forget. I love running. It is my time to just relax and to not think or worry about anything else. Last week on March 25th, I ran my first half marathon. I finished with a time of 1:37.44 holding 7:28 minute miles. I also finished 2nd place in my division, 15-18 year old women. I couldn’t have done this without the coaching and training plans from Kris. Kris is encouraging, supportive, kind and very knowledgeable. I am grateful to take on my next challenge with Kris as my coach. Next stop, the Utah Valley Marathon in June!

I was a member at Crossfit Preferred for over 8 months. The reason I had to leave was do to a move with my new job location. I love Crossfit Preferred. It’s not because of Crossfit Preferred being my first crossfit box and crossfit experience, it’s because of multiple factors. The coaches at Crossfit Preferred worked with me on eliminating my fears or preconceived notion of what crossfit entailed. The coaches didn’t pressure me, but encouraged me to push and work harder to achieve goals I didn’t think I was capable of before I walked into the crossfit box. They worked with me from a beginners level to a level that I feel comfortable with that I can do on my own. The other factor is working as team to achieve goals in crossfit. I felt the camaraderie and team atmosphere with the members of the gym. The staff and members made me feel that I was a member the first day I walked in. It will be hard to top my experience from Crossfit Preferred at the new location I walk into, but Preferred definitely gave me the tools, physically and mentally, to make the next place a great experience.

I have always been the person that would go to LA fitness and wonder around the gym for an hour barely breaking a sweat. After years of wasting money and time and never getting in shape I found CrossFit Preferred.

I have heard about CrossFit before and to be honest was always very intimidated by the idea. I thought you had to be a hardcore weightlifter or someone that wants to get "huge." After a few months at the gym I have gone from a beginner to someone that is getting fit and comfortable. The workouts are tailored for people of all backgrounds and for all types of fitness levels and the coaching is absolutely fantastic. The people welcome you and I am proud to say I am finally moving the needle the needle in my fitness. My wife who even has less "gym" experience then me has joined me and needless to say we are both very happy we found CrossFit Preferred!

So I was completely skeptical about working out just because gyms never have a community atmosphere. I usually feel judged because I'm a bigger girl and that's the whole reason I wanted to join a gym. Not to mention when you hear the word "crossfit" you cringe because of that reputation...BUT!!!!
This crossfit gym is so amazing. I never feel judged. Ever. I'm always being uplifted and encouraged to do better each time I go. It's not at all what I expected crossfit to be like, given their "reputation". All of the coaches want to help you be the best you can be without forcing you to do anything. One of the coaches there, Tiersa, is a nutritionist and I consult with her. I've only really been going at it for about a month, and the nutrition only a week and a half, but I definitely feel my body starting to change. I'm starting to feel great and amazing and I'm so glad Kris referred me to this gym. It's starting to change my life and I'm going to continue working out here. I love it!

I came and did a drop in class today and would have to say I had a wonderful experience. It was nice to have such a fantastic instructor with Audree because she was well educated and extremely helpful; she really took the time to make sure everyone was improving and working on their form and overall a great teacher. The gym was great and well kept and the community was friendly. I was extremely impressed with the level of service that was delivered and I will be back on every visit I make to Arizona. For anyone looking for a great crossfit gym in the Mesa/Gilbert area then I would highly recommend Crossfit preferred.

I started at Crossfit Preferred in September 2014. I had never lifted weights and hadn't had a consistent exercise program for 5 years. I was very much a beginner. So far I've lost 30 pounds and I'm in the best shape of my life. Crossfit Preferred is for every level of fitness. You can scale every workout to your comfort and ability. I love crossfit because it's not about maintaining - it's about always improving. So beginner or elite athlete - this gym is for you.

I started going to Crossfit Preferred about one month ago. I have always been very active and healthy, but have never seen a ton of results. I have become so much stronger, and have seen so many more changes with my body in this last month, than I have seen in this last year! The work outs are short, but push you so hard.

I was scared to go at first because I felt like I would be the weakest and slowest person there, but everyone made me feel accepted and pushed me to be my best. The coaches never made me feel as if I was far behind everyone else, and always had so much confidence in me! It is the greatest workout both physically and mentally. I would recommend this place to anyone!

This is by far the best method of health maintenance and fitness training I have ever done, and I can say that with confidence after 6 months coming here for a consistent, quality experience. I've been an athlete all my life, playing high school basketball, football, and a state competitor in track & field, and this is the smartest and most functional type of training I've seen.

I'd heard bad things about "crossfit" before I started going to this gym (only from people who have never done it, of course..) and decided to try it out for myself. This gym is organized and safe, with a staff that knows technique and form very well so people don't get hurt. We always warm up well, do a strength training portion, then the "workout of the day" (WOD). Every single day is different and keeps your body guessing, and in a short period of time I've made leaps and bounds in my overall strength, aesthetics, and cardiovascular endurance. If the workout is too intense, the trainers will tone it down to match your level.

Their pricing is decent: First week is free (to get a lil taste), then the first month is only $50 to make sure you're up for it, and from then on it jumps to $125 a month for a single person-- which equates to less than $5.70 per visit if you go 5 days a week, 22 days out of a 30 day month. For a hands on, scheduled workout in a class-like atmosphere, that's more than worth it. It's less than what you'd spend at McDonald's anyways so do yourself a favor and make that trade ;)
