I'm fairly new to going to the gym, but I've been coming to this location for about 3 months now and so far it's been really great! Staff is very friendly (shout out Alan - he is always so welcoming and makes sure to say hi to everyone that pops in!), the amenities are awesome and it's very spacious.

It does get really busy in the afternoon, but it's large enough and has enough equipment that you'll never be standing around waiting.

The only thing I would suggest is checking for specials/promos when you sign up, but I would absolutely say that it's worth every penny (especially if you like cardio - the cinema room is my favorite thing ever!), highly recommend!

Hard to believe that a multimillion dollar company struggles for weeks to put in a work order for a $50 hamper. Cal sold me some great sale pitch to sign up for personal training.let me just say its been hell ever since worst decision I’ve made financially. . He told me I’d be signing up for two months but really that was a lie. My first trainer got transferred after 4 weeks and one of the weeks she cancelled on me. They informed me I’d have to tell my personal trainer 30 days before my cancellation on training I told her and my new trainer both never put in my request in time. So of course I was charged 156. Now the new guy in charge informs me that actually it’s always a 4 months commitment and that I’d have to pay the remaining. Also the real kicker is my new trainer now is leaving stores so in less than 2 months I’ve dealt with all this . It’s clear they can’t keep the same staff it’s clear they just want to sell u something that keeps there’s trainers paid. Also in the 2 months I’ve had 2 weeks where I’ve had to been rescheduled because they been sick. All in all terrible customer service on the sale end also to charge me another 3 more times after my 2 months is crazy since thats there policy “ that’s not what I agreed on. So please save your money and the stress by not signing up because at this point I’d rather go to another gym then be charged all this money for this crap

I’ve been a loyal member of EōS Fitness for years and truly love the atmosphere, the people, and the focus on health and wellness. However, I’ve been disappointed by the ongoing management issues at the University/Lindsay location.

The Jacuzzi has been broken for about eight months, the infrared sauna for around five months, and several massage chairs have been down for months as well. For a club that has raised its membership rates without clear notice to members, I expected better communication and quicker resolutions to facility problems.

I appreciate the small courtesy credit offered, but I believe loyal members deserve more when the quality of their experience is significantly reduced for such a long time. Despite these frustrations, I’m hopeful EōS will make things right — I love this gym and truly want to see it live up to the high standard it promotes.

Seems like a scam to have a membership that allows a guest to come with you, and then when you bring your guest they tell you its a special promotional day so guests are not permitted and said guest is basically forced to sign up for a membership. Not cool EOS. I pay for the will power membership which states "unlimited guest access" this is false advertising and deceptive. Why am I paying for the guest membership option??? Beware sales team scams - the "sales team" here, in particular Taylor, will lie consistently to your face to get a sale. Always ask to see the full contract before signing anything. Note that they may also lie about processing your cancellation. Deception runs through the organization, with the bad example starting with management. The facility is nice, but EoS lost a customer for life - this is not how you conduct business!

My wife and I were prior members at EOS Fitness. We decided we wanted to join again and start working out. Two weeks ago we stopped in at the new EOS on University and Lindsay in Mesa and talked to Taylor the general manager about a membership. When we return to sign up for the membership she was not in and another gentleman said he could help us. He tried setting up our membership but did not know how to do it so he turned us over to Grady the assistant manager. Grady signed us up but there was a problem, we could not open our apps because we had had a prior membership with our emails on it. He wasn't able to fix the problem but told us the computer system probably needed to register it and try it tomorrow. When my wife returned the next day the app had the same problem but a gentleman at the front desk fixed her problem in just a few minutes. When I returned later that day another gentleman at the front desk tried to resolve the problem with my app but couldn't, so he gave me an email address and told me to try to figure out on my own. The next day when I came in the operations manager did some things on my phone and on the computer and told me the problem should be resolved, but it wasn't. The next day when I came in I asked Grady if he could try to resolve the problem. He also did some things on the computer and on my phone but was not able to resolve the problem and told me there was probably nothing they could do but I could talk to the manager tomorrow. He gave me a card to put on my keychain so at least I could gain access to the facility. When I came back the next day I asked to see Taylor the general manager, the lady at the front desk went and told Taylor I would like to talk to her. When the lady at the front desk return she said Taylor said she did not need to see me that there was nothing they could do about the problem. I was shocked, why would the general manager of EOS refuse to talk to me about a problem we had never even discussed before. I left a message to have Taylor call me back but she never did. The next day I received an email from EOS that was a addressed to my wife saying here was a temporary password to enter it and go to my profile page.
Our Medicare insurance pays for our membership. My wife wanted to upgrade to the next level of membership for $10 a month more that we would pay. Taylor told us there was a $1 annual fee but there would be no annual fee for the upgraded membership . When we signed up with Grady he told us there was a $60 annual fee for the upgraded membership.

1 Why would a General Manager refuse to talk to me about a problem?
2 Is there nobody at EOS that can resolve a computer glitch? Do they have no IT people?
3 What is EOS doing with my email address and why can they not control where it ends up?
4 Why does EOS make me load an app on my phone and then cannot make it work? What information and benefits could I not be getting because I don't have the app?
Ironically when I wanted to close out my membership from the last time I was at EOS they gave me a phone number where I spent 45 minutes trying to close out my membership and then I had to return three times to EOS before I found somebody who could actually do it.

EOS is a nice state-of-the-art facility but the staff seems to be incompetent and lacks customer relation skills.

I recently joined this gym and couldn’t be happier with my choice! The space is huge, so even during prime time (5–7pm) I rarely have to wait for machines or equipment. The cold plunge and hot tub have been game-changers for contrast therapy, and I’ve loved having access to amenities I’ve never had at other gyms: a movie theater with cardio machines, cryo massage chairs, and even a swimsuit dryer. The staff are always welcoming and friendly, and my training session with Hector was especially helpful: he gave me great tips to fix my posture. Overall, this gym has everything I was looking for and more. Highly recommend!

Unfortunately, my visit was disappointing. When I arrived, one of the massage chairs was occupied by a person who appeared to be not using it for its intended purpose. He had his hands down the front of his pants asleep in the massage chair. It was gross. I notified team members who were responsive but left the person to continue to sleep there.
This location offers all the amenities and so is one of the best- I hope this was an isolated incident and no further occurrences happen while I’m there.

I love going to the gym. The amenities are amazing! If I didn’t actually enjoy the gym, I would’ve canceled my membership. We signed up for a Will Power membership, then switched to the family plan. Taylor assured us she would cancel the original membership, but two weeks later I was still charged.
When I noticed the charge, I spoke with Colin at the front desk. He has been extremely helpful and professional throughout this process. Colin said it would be 7-10 days to get the refund. When I called back a week later because I hadn’t seen my refund yet. Colin unfortunately got sick the day after I put the request in. He asked the GM to submit the refund request for me while he was out sick. The GM forgot to do it for an entire week. When I called AGAIN Colin finally submitted it himself, but here I am now over a month later still waiting on a refund.
The issue isn’t just the delay; it’s the process. Even though the staff can clearly see the membership wasn’t canceled, I was told I’d have to wait 7–10 more days for a refund because it needs district manager approval first, and then ABC Financial takes another 5–7 business days. A mistake like this should not take over a month to fix.
The disorganization and long wait for something as simple as a refund make me seriously consider canceling

EoS policy does not ban white supremacist tattoos being displayed at their gym. I'd take a picture of it, but that's frowned upon far more than Nazi ideology on display.

There is a member that openly walks around with a tattoo that reads "ANGRY" covered in skulls on his right leg from knee to ankle and "ARYAN" on the left from knee to ankle.

According to District Manager Carl, this is ok because "EoS don't discriminate against tattoos"(if it was on a T-shirt they'd ask him to remove it, but since he's so dedicated to the cause as to get it permanently inked on his skin, it's allowed) and he "doesn't understand what I want him to do about it" as if I was upset about a tattoo representing the opposing sports team to the one I root for, as opposed to a tattoo proclaiming his love for Nazi ideology.

I got a call from a member of their legal department stating that since Aryan has multiple definitions and they can't determine what it means. Using that logic I asked him if it's ok if I show a tattoo that reads "I hate [homophobic slur that starts with F]'s because it's English slang for cigarettes. He said no and didn't seem to get the point.

This is a shame because the facilities are top notch, however it's hard to remain focused when I see white supremacist tattoos on display being defended by the company. I can't review this gym higher than one star until this policy changes.

This gym is by far our most favorite of all the EOS gyms in Arizona. This location has all the amenities and equipment that we like to use. Love the massage chairs, cold plunge pool, and center of the gym which is great for lymphatic drainage. Even the members that go here are also all very nice!

Most importantly, the staff upfront makes this location what it is today. My mother who is 80+ years always looks forward to coming to this gym to work out. Yes, you heard me right... this place isn't just for the young and strong:) She is always greeted with warm smiles and knuckle bumps by the staff there. Shout out to Colin, Jack, Cesar, Janelle and a few others (that I didn't catch their names - sorry) but they sure make my mom feel extra special. She feels so special that she gives them little treats, because she appreciates them too. Keep up the great work guys, cause you deserve the recognition and a raise! Beware - I have been trying to get a refund from this location for two months now. When I signed up I only wanted the $10/mo deal but was advised by Taylor to sign up for a higher plan and change it after the first month due to a current promotion. It would be no problem to transition. After the first month I was charged $100 and have not been able to get a refund. I have called and gone in to talk to her several times and each time I am promised a refund but it’s now month two, and I’ve been charged $32 after discussing with her a plan change, and still nothing.
I’ve talked to several other people and all have said the same.

I've been going to this EōS location for a while now, and overall, it’s been a great experience. The gym is clean, well-equipped, and has plenty of space even during peak hours. The machines and free weights are well-maintained, and the group fitness classes are a nice bonus.

One thing that really stands out is the front desk staff — especially CJ. He’s always friendly, professional, and goes out of his way to make everyone feel welcome. Lack of management when I’ve addressed concerns and the cleanliness. $9.99 a month membership attracts a lot of people who are just there to sit on their cell phones more than working out. If there was a better quality gym closer I’d pay double or triple, to have a good gym experience and workout!

I've been a member for years and I've never had a picture with my account, keep in mind I've even traveled out of state and gone to eos in California.
I have been harassed by this one employee for a picture numerous times I just chose to ignore the creepy behavior as I assumed it was just this dude.
(Black guy wearing glasses skinny no name tag horrible attitude)
I never have had it mentioned to me ever before this guy.

This was a couple months ago and I haven't really noticed that guy working, yesterday I lost my debit card there, I was approached mid workout that I needed to come to the front and get my picture taken or else they weren't going to return my debit card to me, I told them to just trash my card as I had already cancelled it and it was not worth anything to me anymore, and continued my workout but I could have called the cops for the refusing to give back my personal property.

I will not ever return to this location. I'm done with being harassed for a picture. I recommend getting professional staff that knows how to deal with the public better not a creep that's obsessed with trying to take pictures of your female members. I know males members who go here without a picture and he never says anything to them.

The equipment was nice here but has been destroyed by members, it smells like piss so bad by the freeweight section closes to the movie theater, and all of the extras that should be included are shut off or closed off at night which is the only time I can workout.

Me and my friend came in there with the intention of getting a 7-day pass, trying out the gym and then signing up for memberships. Your sales personnel is extremely dishonest and sleazy . First It was we "have" to sign up for a membership prior to getting a 7-day free pass(which makes no sense) then they said they couldn't honor the 7-day free pass because it was during their open house then a manager came over and said that they couldn't honor it because we were previous members from 5 plus years ago. I understand that you're trying to get a sale especially with it being the end of the month and you probably have numbers you have to meet, but this isn't the way to do it. The story just kept changing to the point where we both had no confidence in the staff nor this company. I will definitely be telling everybody I know and spend my money literally anywhere else.

Signed up for 7 days free to try out the gym. I like to go at different times of day.Told "time is up" on day 4 (3 visits)! Because I didn't answer the 2 texts per day and an email sales pitch?? Sammy was full pressure to sign up for a year from the moment I walked in. I'm glad I checked it out! Never mind the gym, this place is a scummy business.

Overall, a great gym with good equipment and clean locker rooms. All the staff have always been amazingly, friendly and helpful towards me. I do need to apologize to the staff member CJ, I neglected to mention the few connect 4 tournaments I have won during our connect four game while I waited on my Uber. CJ is definitely a five star staff member for being a great sport about it.

This gym has always been a good gym to go to because it’s always had a welcoming environment and it has something for everyone , as someone who loves to hit legs I appreciate that there are a lot of options to work out and to stay occupied. I am a member at the Lindsey and University EOS. I originally signed up using a regular membership, I didn't have the corp code at the time. They said I could convert it in which I did. that's when the problem started. I have gotten charged twice for the the membership fees once at the discount and once at the normal price this has been going on for 3mths now... Let's also not forget about the annual fee as well, one for 90ish and one for 50ish... I talked to them they said it looked normal, went and talked to someone else that said it looks normal. I have now emailed them and the dude ghosted me after sending them the erroneous charges from my bank. So the gym is nice, customer service needs some SERIOUS attention. Recommendation is wait till you have the corporate code...

The gym is packed and only 1 star because they’re still charging me 3 months after cancelling my membership. I keep getting the run around. One slow person after the other answering the phone making bs excuses about why it wasn’t cancelled.

I usually enjoy EOS, and the Mesa location on University has solid equipment and amenities. But my experience on 5/21 around 10:00 PM was disappointing because of a front desk employee who handled a simple situation with unnecessary hostility.

After finishing my workout, I returned to grab my keys from the locker. A staff member—Black male with glasses, no name tag—stopped me at the door and insisted I check in again. I explained I had already checked in twice earlier that day and was just grabbing something I left. Instead of listening, he doubled down with attitude and made it into a confrontation.

I cooperated, checked in again, and got my keys. When I came back out and asked for his name, he refused to give it. Another staff member, Colin, stayed calm and tried to de-escalate, which I appreciated—but still, no one would tell me the first employee’s name.

If this person had just acknowledged the situation and responded respectfully, it would’ve been no issue. Instead, I left feeling disrespected. EOS, I hope this is addressed directly with the employee involved—especially since he wasn’t even wearing a name badge, which should be standard.

A gym experience should never include this kind of friction. Please train your team to handle these moments with professionalism and basic respect.
