WOW!! I Just read another FEW posts about being over billed after leaving. I had a membership and was told that I needed to give a 30 day notice while canceling, which is normal procedure with all gyms and does makes sense. I gave them my notice and still trying to bill me and get emails weekly about payment?!?! It’s almost comical! The real entertaining part is that I actually wanted to just hold the membership and probably come back but after finding out how the billing scam is in effect I just had to walk away and tell anyone about that place! TOTAL DISASTER!! If you try to talk to an employee or even Jeremy the owner, they will NEVER contact you back, so be aware about getting a membership there, it a VERY BAD choice! Trust me DO NOT give them your credit card number!!! Lol

Worst gym I have ever joined. I agreed to a deal they posted on social media for free months and was never honored. After 6 months I contacted and cancelled my account and stopped going. After 6 more months got a letter that my account was sent to collections for $300 due to break of contract. Not sure how I'm going to handle this part but pretty disappointed with this gym in a general census.

I moved in April. Have contacted this gym April, May, June and now July. They have repeatedly assured me they will cancel my membership and have continued to charge me. Jeremy isn’t in except on Thursdays. Completely unacceptable business practices. I have documentation and phone history showing these conversations. I am still being charged!
I’m not sure how this gym expects to stay in business with the competition if they can’t get this part figured out. You can’t run a business this way. Good luck cancelling if you move out of state. Currently they owe me 4 months of payments.

So far so good. Easy to navigate with not very many people. Comfortable setting where you can go workout without feeling judged by other gym goers. Facility is clean and well taken care of. Facility is open 24/7 which makes it easy fit around any schedule. Staff is nice and non judgement. Only gone once so far but my first experience was better than any other gym I’ve gone to in the past.

This place uses an 'auto-bot' named "Olivia", to respond to prospects interested in becoming members of their club.

Awful.

Just heinous!

I didn't know this and after turning my friend, who is a jiu-jitsu instructor to them, who was interested in placing membership...was laughed out the door, once he asked for 'Olivia'.

I was highly embarrassed.

Before, they even had the opportunity to clear this up as I wanted to make sure he was being placed in good hands?

They (jerks) had "Olivia" reach back out to me. It's all automated!

I was the laughing stock of Fitness 1440 in Surprise and they snickered behind my back.

Do not vest your hard-earned money here.

There are plenty of other gym options out there with people who care about you as a person, a human that is trying to better themselves emotionally, physically, and spiritually.

PF for one.
And E.O.S. for another.

Needless to say, my friend didn't find it funny at all to be embarrassed and humiliated when he was just trying to give them some money.

E.o.s. is a better deal.

Pf you can pay annually and save yourself a ton of cash and have year-round access to the gym for just over two hundred bones.

Your life matters to me. It is with utmost sincerity and love that I wrote this detailed review of this unfortunate experience I had w/ this club.

Used to workout here when I lived in the area. If it weren't for the drive I would have never left. Since then I have tried EOS and LA in my area and they are both downgrades. Owner is an awesome guy and is very personable with everyone that comes in.

My husband and I have been enjoying going to Fitness 1440! It's clean, not too noisy, and although it's small compared to some of the gyms in the area, they have tons of equipment, doesn't seem too busy/crowded, and you're not waiting around for equipment. Jeremy, the Manager, is fantastic! Most staff knows our names, it feels like a comfortable, close-knit, friendly vibe. Also recommend Personal Training! They have several great trainers there and I've personally worked with Joe - he's been amazing! He is very attentive and learns your ability, strengths, weaknesses, and how his assistance will make the greatest impact. He keeps close watch of your form and provides constant feedback so you can get the most out of his training and the workout! Thanks Joe!

This gym has been a beacon of light in my life and I have nothing but positive things to share about my experience here. All of the staff is friendly, especially Olivia and Jeremy. The environment has always been clean and everyone that I have met here so far has been very friendly. My favorite part about this gym is Cami; she is one of the personal trainers and leads most of the group fitness classes. Her energy is extremely contagious and I’ve already received phenomenal results from working with her in our personal training sessions over the last two months. With a reasonable gym membership rate, it’s a no brainer that this is the place to be, especially if you want to be treated as a customer and not just a number. Fitness 1440 Surprise has my highest recommendations.

I’ve been coming to this gym for many years and have seen many different owners. Jeremy is by far the best owner and always keeps the gym clean. He has always upfront about any changes prior to them even happening. I read a lot of these reviews and it’s unfortunate that he has to get criticism for things that happened or were already in the process prior to him taking over this gym. It’s not easy taking over a business and having to clean up all of the dirty work that was left behind. Before he came into this gym, the two previous owners did the complete opposite as him. They Failed to communicate, failed to keep it clean and didn’t show any type of professionalism or genuine care for their members. Walk in and you will see the difference he has made in this gym.

Dear Surprise I would like to make you aware of a gym company that has brought out other gyms. I am talking about 1440 Fitness. Now up until October of 2020 I did not know this gym existed. Not until I started getting collection calls for 9 dollars that was due for October fees.
After trying to figure out who was calling me and after visiting both gyms that I have membership to here in Surprise I was told that it might be 1440 Fitness.
After checking my account I find they had started billing me in June 2020 for 9 dollars and July 2020 I actually paid 39 dollars for membership fees.
With this information I walked into the gym, FOR THE FIRST TIME and asked them if I had a membership there. I did to my surprise and I owned 9 dollars for October. At that point I canceled my membership and was told that I would not receive any more collection calls. Fast forward to this weekend and I have legal paperwork stating I now owe 242 dollars. 1440 FITNESS is a scam please check your bank accounts to ensure that you are not eronusly being charged for their gym membership.

Worst customer service I’ve ever received. Ever since I’ve been there the gym has changed management three times. The only issues I have ever had is when it became 1440. They tried to raise my rates since they took over. The most recent was this weekend when I showed up at 7o’clock, the door was locked however, people were people in there working out. Come to find out they change their hours from seven in the morning on weekends to nine unless you had a special membership, which I was not made aware of. Come to find out in order for me to work out prior to 9 AM on weekends I have to pay an extra $7.50 a month. Ridiculous. And weekdays are the same.

Love the new change to this gym!! I’ve been here since it was fitness 1, & I’ve got to say it is MUCH improved. I love that they changed the paper towels to cloth ones, much less waste. I think it’s fantastic that they make sure to take our temp before we can work out, and that we are required to wear mask for the safety of everyone!! I’ve seen the owner walk around and make sure everything is in place, instead of sitting behind the desk all day. When I first came back to the gym after a long while he made sure to let me know of all the changes. It looks great in here, I just can’t wait till covid is over and the gym opens 24 hours!!

I’ve been coming to this gym for the past 6 years it has changed ownership multiple times since it opened. Since I am a regular I pay my membership annually instead of month to month. My membership expired in September. They have been closed for over 2 months due to COVID. Today I asked the manager if my account would be prorated those two months since I was not able to workout. He only prorated one month! Which is not fair! The new owner clearly does not value loyal customers. He also said informed me the new price going forward is $29 to use the facility 24hrs like I am used to! $29 to use the same old equipment I was working out on for 6 years paying $14 they have made ZERO improvements other than slap some green paint on the wall. Also I am posting the COVID rag they are using for members to clean the machines. One rag for everyone to share and a bottle of disinfectant to cover their basic state requirement. I don’t mind paying for good service but they clearly only care about the money here! 6 years ago they were one of the only 2 gyms in town now we have plenty of options including big corporate names. The management should be a little bit more customer oriented because there is a reason why this gym has had so many owners in the past few years. He does not value the locals and is only going to make things worse!
