I recently switched over to this gym and I've liked the experience so far. Most of the weights and equipment are usually available and it's not super congested when I go. I'm looking forward to the reopening of the Rio Rico location.

I will also add that the workout culture is good and the staff are helpful.

As a note for newcomers regarding the restrooms: Men's is on the left in the back and women's on the right. The hallways are a little long so you might be halfway down the wrong one before catching yourself if you neglect to notice the signage at first like I did.

The only thing that becoming a problem is the equipment and payment. You have to pay a certain amount of 30 a month IF you have a one year contract. The catch of that is you have to pay a decent amount for cancellation. Before the competition of the other gym payment was 60 a month and payment for cancellation was over 100+. Equipment has been the same for maybe 6+ years. I've went to the gym in my high school years and came back after, crazy how pretty much NOTHING changed. Everything is pretty much outdated, but the workers are great, love talking to them, and friendly. Place is being constantly cleaned and well placed in where the weights supposed to be.

Great gym. They have everything you need to get a great workout in. You can target every single muscle group. Atmosphere is great! People are nice and everyone minds their own bussiness.

It was $20 a month to work out before? Why am I gonna spend $30 a month to work out with old used up equipment now? Your best bet is planet fitness if you want a better cheaper option, with more room to walk around in and up to date equipment.

I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding the deteriorating conditions of the Nogales Fitness Express gym, where I have been a dedicated member for the past couple of years. It has become increasingly difficult to ignore the numerous issues that have accumulated over time.

First and foremost, the physical state of the gym is alarming. The roof leaks persistently, leading to wet floors that create unsafe conditions for all members. Additionally, there are literal holes in the flooring that pose a tripping hazard. The equipment is in disrepair, with some items held together with duct tape, while others have been out of service for months.

The benches are in particularly poor condition, with some ripped and others having loose screws that could lead to injury.
Since the closure of the Rio Rico gym, the situation at Nogales has only worsened.

As members, we are required to pay for a full year, and if we choose to cancel, we face penalties. Meanwhile, many of us have witnessed the owner neglecting these pressing issues for months on end. This month, as temperatures soar in Arizona, it has come to my attention that the air conditioning has been turned off, and fans have been relocated from the weight section to the front of the gym. It seems that even the employees are struggling with the heat, which raises concerns about the overall environment for members.

As a paying member, I believe it is only fair to expect a gym that is properly maintained and equipped with functional equipment, as well as a comfortable environment in which to work out.

Great place to just work out. Unlike planet fitness you can actually just come in and start working out without having to dodge teens taking selfies or just loitering. Water fountain out of order and will need cash to purchase water or drinks. Showers are available but would have to walk through the gym floor to get a changing room. Still worth it in my mind as long as i can get a decent work out without having to wait for kids to move.

this gym is extremely outdated. The floors are cracked, uneven, and make it hard to workout. All of the cardio machines are either broken or stop suddenly when on them. Machines are growing mold and there’s only one of each machine, not to mention its like a sauna in there, in general this whole place needs to be updated.

I went a few times this week, I saw this couple with 3 small kids, and a new born baby on a stroller, really!? one of the kids a boy moving dumbbells and curl bars around, the little girl doing cartwheels all over the place, both of the older kids unsupervised, and the smug dad looking at himself in the mirror the whole time. This is not a DAYCARE! this is a gym, and is even more dangerous that a mechanics shop because of all the machinery in motion and heavy weighs. Kids are a liability in a place like this. In addition, the equipment is old, and the staff not greeting, always on their phones.

Love it! Very help full staff. Has all you need to workout. Free weights, machines and crossfit. Plenty of room. Used my insurance too cover costs.

I just went over to the center for a good morning workout. The female staff working at the center was very much rude and uncourteous. Apparently when I submitted my cobtract they had told me that I could work out at thwir other center in tucson , Desert Fitness. Without no notification, letter, phone call or nothing the center no kicked me out stating that they don't let people from tucson to the nogales center.

FYI THERE WAS ONLY TWO PEOPLE AT THE CENTER WORKING OUT!!!

I I totally do not recommend this facility.

I always looked forward for my yoga after work, I agree with one of the posts, after 8 in the evening some girls take over the meditation room and bring little kids.. ruined my evenings, I'm glad I just come here seasonaly

I recently signed up to use the open space with the wooden floor for stretching, Surprise!!! After 8pm this place looks a children's day care, group of ladies with toddlers take over the large room and close the door letting the kids run around everywhere while they gossip . in addition to that, the place stinks like baby poop from the toddlers. and the staff is careless and allow it.
