My daughter had a horrible experience. The coaches picked on her and made her suffer if she messed up. She was the only black girl in her class and I disenrolled her so quick. You mean to tell me I'm paying all this money for my child to be bullied by adult coaches. Absolutely not.

It’s OK. The tuition is reasonable. I wish payments could be done online. I don’t like calling, it seems like the person who answers is off site or maybe manages the phone for all locations and you can absolutely tell she doesn’t like answering that phone. My experience otherwise has been ok. The instructors seem good I’ve never had a complaint from my kiddo. The lady at the front is friendly and has been helpful with schedule changes and that’s always appreciated!

BOYS TEAM

We’ve been to lots of gyms and it’s rare to find one with not only a boys coach but a boys team, in two years they got my son to a level 3 competing level and he placed 4th in state this year.

This sport is not for the faint of heart it’s a lot of work and very dangerous. It’s not a matter of if they’ll get hurt but when, the coaches are strict to ensure kids are executing their events safely.
If you don’t want to see your little one frustrated or stressed out I would recommend having them wait otherwise the fruits they will yield are invaluable.

The entire family that runs flames has been involved in gymnastics their entire lives and vets every coach that comes to their gym they know their field well and can be trusted to shape your little into the best athlete they can.

Thank you Flames thank you Jason!🔥

Took my 7 year old for a tryout and it was so bad. Nothing was organized and the way they were yelling at the kids was crazy. It was my daughters’s first time in gymnastics so she did not have a clue what to do and the coach was stretching her out to do the splits and put her up on a beam bar without explaining to her what the bar was and expected her to walk on it. we were in there for 18 minutes and walked out with my daughter crying.

We adore this gym. We have been here for almost a year now, from another gym where we spent several years. The coaches are incredible, the team environment is sincere and everyone is seen regarded as an integral part of the team. Love it — would totally recommend!

DISGUSTING, this is my first time being at this place the coach yelled at me for not being able to do a handstand and telling me to push on my shoulders. This is an experience that I personally had and my other friends, me and 5 other friends that go to my school goes to this place and we all know how they never clean their equipment nor in this pandemic they clean the equipment. I wish I could rate this place a ZERO. I DO NOT RECOMMEND GOING HERE!!!!

My daughter went to Flame’s for several years, was on their competition team and continues to go for tumbling to help improve her skills for high school cheer. If your child is serious about learning the skills to be a great gymnast, this is the place to learn not only skills, but technique as well.

Flames coaches really take the time to get to know the child and what they need to figure out what to work on. We love our flames 🔥 family!

Ms. Kimberly sent my 3 year old crying. She also gripped and yelled in my child’s face. When I go fronted her and the front desk lady about the situation their response was “ this is a strict environment”. I believe a 3 year old should not be yelled at and arm pulled. I’m literally astonished that this company allows such behavior. Multiple parents and children witness the scene and confronted me that, that coach has done these actions before. There is multiple reviews on her behavior and manor towards children and parents. Id like to note that I talked to the front desk lady about her grabbing my daughter, Previously to the incident happening. This gymnastic building has to many people in the building for the workers to be watching children, as well as the coaches, appropriately.

*since I can’t reply to the comment below. I’d like to imply that my daughter walked away once. Are you saying as a company that this behavior is appropriate to handle little children? She grabbed my child’s arm, yelled at her close to her face and pulled her back to the line. I remind you she is 3. As a professional to a professional I am very embarrassed that this company approves of such behavior with little children.

Our first experience went really well. The owner responded to my inquiry within 24hrs. When we arrived Crystal greeted us and educated me on the program and pricing with no hold backs. The trial was a success. The coaches who worked with my daughter were very welcoming and patient with her. Over all the energy and environment was welcoming. We feel like we belong here. I’m super excited to see hard work pay off. Thanks flames team for accepting us with open arms.

My daughter left this place in tears on her very first day because she couldn't "follow instructions". she was only 3 years old and really enjoyed it but because she moved a lot in the line waiting for other kids' turn, the instructor got upset and said she could go home for the day. The instructors here are so rude and expect them to be experts on their very first day or else they will kick you out. I've heard this plenty of times from other parents that took their kids here. Don't waste your money here because they obviously don't care about your child.

My son went in for the free trial. The very first day the man coach forced my son into a split hurting him. He was very rude and forceful with my son who has never been in gymnastic before.

I havw been here for approx. a year and have gotten all the proper training . I have read all the reviews and it’s ridiculous how all of you say it is but your child wasn’t doing there straddle right or something and you blame the coaches for correction. Love it here

My daughter had an absolutely horrible time. The coaches were unhelpful. The whole hour long I maybe seen one child smile out of 8 and that child had a different coach. Definitely won’t be returning or referring.

Hands down the worst experience! My daughter left in tears from here as well. The instructors are not patient and yell at the children. Please save your money and try a place where the staff is trained and your child comes first. Wish i could give it 0 stars .

Awesome gym and very nice staff!   I got personal training sessions at this gym.  I have never had such effective and efficient workouts in my whole life. They also work with you nutrition and in weight trainings so that you can reach your goals. Apart form weight training sessions, this gym also offers lot of different fitness classes.

This is a nice facility with good coaching and staff. We've tried different gyms in the area, and keep coming back. The family that runs this gym-and it's sister gym in Peoria-is great and we wouldn't go anywhere else in the west valley. This site can get a little crowded when watching your kids practice, but that just shows how successful the gym is.

One particular instructor was horrible! She had the worst attitude, no patience at all... I have a video of her rolling her eyes at my 7 year old granddaughter for not being able to flip on the bar. Keep in mind this was her trial class she had never been introduced to gymnastics before. My granddaughter left this place in tears.

We missed a class because my daughter was sick and they let us do a make up but a month later my son was sick and we couldn't make it and they wouldn't allow us to do a make up class. Life happens and sometimes you can't be there every week so to only get one make up class a year is really unfair. We have chosen to leave and choose a different school for our daughter.

Sitting at flames right now for a trial class. The stench is overwhelming when you walk in, been here for thirty minutes and my throat is itching due to the mildew smell. Dirty, worn equipment. I had to track down a worker to let them know we were here for trial class. She did not introduce herself, she did not tell me anything about flames such as cost, classes, etc. I asked her who would be instructing my daughter and she said she would, so I filled her in on my daughter and why she is interested in gymnastics. Then at the start of class a man looked our way and said 'over here now if your in this class'. I realized he was talking to my daughter so I sent her over. He did not introduce himself to me or her. I am so turned off by this place. So bottom line, don't come here. Apparently they have enough students and aren't really looking or care if they add new ones. I would spend twice their monthly tuition if they were friendly and cared to have my business. I could over look the stench if they had any customer service skills whatsoever. I could overlook the worn out equipment if they had any type of cusomer service skills whatsoever. So bottom line: Flames really sucks and could careless about welcoming new business. Perhaps that's why their facility is so dirty and run down, maybe they aren't generating enough revenue to fix the place up. There's better places out there. Seriously, don't come here.
