This is going to be a long one because I just had to leave a review. My granddaughter has been with Coach Nakila for a few months now, and even though I don’t get to see her as often, the difference when I do is just amazing. As a former gymnast and coach myself, I can tell right away that Coach Nakila is something special; firm, kind, and truly passionate about what she does.

My granddaughter has completely turned around. Not just in her gymnastics, but in her attitude, confidence, and sense of responsibility. You can tell Coach isn’t just teaching these girls gymnastics; she’s teaching them discipline, accountability, and life lessons they’ll carry with them for YEARS to come.

Every time I talk with my granddaughter, she’s full of excitement about practice and always has something positive to say about her coach. I’ve been blessed to watch a few practices myself, and I was so impressed. Fortis is lucky to have her, and my family is so very grateful for the positive impact she’s had. We truly feel blessed to be part of this program.

Not enough coaches for the toddlers and the classes always seem to be chaotic. My daughter has also been bullied by this other girl and the coaches have done nothing about it. Gladly will be talking my daughter somewhere else.

My daughter has been coming to fortis since 2022. I dont have much to compare to but I can say that the level of attention and quality is amazing. From the owners to the coaches and staff, I can say they are all awesome! They push my daughter to her limits and help her excell. Im very glad we found this gym 3 years ago.

We have been with fortis since 2021 and absolutely love it!
My daughter has been with coach Zac for almost a year now and he is not only knowledgeable and fun with the girls but pushes them in a healthy way to be the best they could possibly be.
My daughter also works 1 on 1 with Coach Courtney and she is amazing! She really gets to know each child and figures out what works best for them individually.

We’ve had two of our daughters and one of our sons at Fortis for about a year and a half and have had the best experience here! Laryssa is AWESOME! Not only does she coach different levels, she also offers private lessons and connects with each kid at their own level. She is seriously the best and I’m so glad she is helping to shape these kids of mine as they grow!

We had a very disappointing experience with Fortis Gymnastics. In August, we placed our kids’ classes on a 90-day hold for September, October, and November (along with another family we attended with). We resumed in December and, back in September, paid in advance for their December classes, as per their policy.

In November, I notified Fortis multiple times—in person and by phone—that December would be our last month because our daughters no longer wanted to continue. The reason I told them multiple times is they left me 3 voicemails in early November to sign up for December classes & each time I called them back to they told me to call back November 18th - this made it clear something was off with their communication.

On December 13th, my husband took our kids to an open gym session, and they charged his card $10 for another one of our children to participate who wasn’t enrolled in any classes. Since they didn’t have my credit card on file anymore, it indicated that our cancellation had been processed (same with our friends).

On December 16th, I emailed to confirm our cancellation for January - since their communication has been wonky. However, when I followed up, they told me they had no record of the cancellation and claimed they “normally write things down”, but nothing was noted in our case. To make matters worse, on January 1st, they charged my husband’s card for half of December (which had already been paid in full) and half of January, even though we had canceled in time and never authorized this charge or them using his card for anything other than the $10 open gym charge.

Despite multiple emails, calls and chats in person, we haven’t received a response other than “we’re asking someone else.” Their poor communication and mishandling of billing are incredibly frustrating. Charging an unauthorized card is unacceptable. I can’t recommend Fortis Gymnastics to anyone until they improve their customer service and billing procedures.

This is the first time we have enrolled the kids in summer camp at Fortis. Let me tell you, it is the best!! Kids come home so excited to tell me all the fun things they did. Crafts, games, gymnastics and making new friends. I love that the kids are well looked after but also they get to be kids. The have so much play time and an opportunity to get their wiggles out. The best part is they are actually being played with and it is so refreshing as a parent to see. The staff/coaches are enjoying the kids and interacting with them, not just standing by disengaged like other camps/programs. I will be continuing to enroll them with Fortis for sure!! We love it there❤️

Now this is going to come off whiny, which is what I would think, but we have taken our kids to a lot of different kinds of sports and have never experienced a place like this.

The staff always seemed inconvenienced when I had any questions and were just never friendly. You don't have to be super bubbly, but when it's our first time you could at least say hello, welcome, or is there anything I can help you with? We all have our strengths, but put someone out front that doesn't mind talking to people...

This was me and my daughter’s first experience with gymnastics, I regret the day I signed her up at this gym. We paid the fees and bought the Whole uniform, leotard, leggings, jacket and bag pack back in July/August last year.
We took my daughter out because of problems with management. Not only they scream at the kids but they would also make up lies just to avoid taking accountability for their actions. My daughter had to stick around because we paid the fees but it got to the point that I wouldn’t trust her being there. By reading other reviews I noticed that they are ready to respond to any bad reviews so I’m prepared to whatever they throw at me.
The owner acts like a enraged toddler and if you ever have questions don’t even bother to ask the front desk since they never know nothing. Also they will go behind your back to complain about you instead of actually talking to you face to face.
I lost my money since they offer no refunds for competition fees and uniforms and sadly my daughter lost her time, motivation and confidence.
They do not care about the kids.

My child has been too numerous gymnastics gyms and loved it! After training at Fortis my chid lost all passion for gymnastics. We found the owner and front help to be extremely rude and discourteous as well.

My 9 year old daughter was injured at Fortis Gymnastics. I called and canceled the following week on 6/12. Plus emailed as well that we were canceling the same day. Since than I have been fighting against charges the gym keeps trying to take $75 a month from July -November ($375). My daughter was only there 2-3 times in May & June. I won't recommend this gym if you want to leave you will be fighting for months to get your money back on your credit card. There is no way to remove your card off their site as well. Good luck. I took my daughter to USA gymnastics for a trial months before she didn't get hurt at all. After this experience she won't even try gymnastics in fear of getting hurt. If this continues you will be hearing from our lawyers.

I love this gym! I have been going here since they opened and couldn’t be happier with the coaching staff and gym as a whole. The coaches are well trained, knowledgeable about the sport, and practice safety from every angle. I couldn’t ask for a better place to do gymnastic!! Fortis is my home away from home.

Fortis Gymnastics is THE BEST! My daughter has been to a few other gyms and has never had the coaching she has had here. Her skills and strength have drastically improved. Her confidence is better than ever. (even her grades are better) She'd leave the other gyms so defeated, sad, stressed and angry. We came to Fortis for an open gym night and LOVED the coaches. We quickly signed up and discontinued our previous gym. They give constructive criticism and positive feedback. She has been wanting to grow and compete and they have helped her achieve those goals.

My daughter has been coming to this gym for 2 months and she loves it. The coaches make sure they explain things in a way in which she understands and they always want to push her to succeed. The owner E.G. is very nice and always wants the best for all of his gymnasts and always works hard. The best thing is that the gymnasts do strength and flexibility workouts, I have not ever seen a gym do this, but this gym does, and it helps a lot with all of the skills the kids are working on. The strength workouts have made my daughter stronger and these workouts give her less of a chance for any type of injury. She has accomplished a lot in the past 2 months and I would definitely recommend this place to everyone.

Both of my daughters go to Fortis. They are both on the competitive team which requires a lot of hours and dedication. If they could go there everyday they would! Coach EG is one of their favorite coaches and they talk about him all the time! They come home so excited telling us about all the progress they are making and can't wait till their next practice to learn more! Several of their friends now attend Fortis because they talk about their gym so much at school! I would recommend FORTIS gymnastics academy to anybody!

I was really sad to see the negative review posted on here, I have never seen the behavior that person is describing in their post, however based on the tone of her post it looks as though she has a personal vendetta against the gym and I'm guessing that was what fueled her response.

I love this place, all of the coaches and owners. Always looking out for the kids best interests, highly skilled and very real. I wouldn't bring my daughter to any other gym!

This place is a joke. They are far to hard on their gymnasts with minimal understanding or compassion. Definitely not the way I would run a business. They care nothing for the well being of their coaches or their students. The owner e.g. is rude and demanding, not understanding at all. I'm not sure what this company thinks they are going to get out of being rude and uncompromisable, but it's not going to produce good gymnasts. Good gymnasts require a coach that UNDERSTANDS and has COMPASSION. Something this company is completely devoid of. Don't waste your money on this place.

My daughter started with Fortis back in august and loves it there, we couldn't ask for a better gym! The coaches are knowledgeable in the sport, work on not only the tricks but strength too to build a better all around gymnast. We tried out another gym in the valley and she didn't progress the way she has here. She would spend everyday there if I'd let her. They offer various classes that can fit anyone's schedule , pricing is very competitive compared to other gyms around the valley, and they offer different camps and workshops. We are so very happy that we signed up with Fortis and have found our forever gymnastic home!
