I was SO excited to sign up for my membership, I had heard such great things from my coworkers about Hotworx but I am incredibly disappointed and will not be returning. I was misled by workers on how to cancel my membership, ignored for days which caused me to be charged for an additional month, and my account was not actually paused after I was told it was so I was charged full price for 6 months upon cancelling. I try to be understanding, but this was genuinely the worst customer service I have ever had at any establishment.

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. I tried my first class at HOTWORX in March 2025 and loved it. I discussed a membership with the front desk associate, and mentioned my hesitation because I was graduating ASU in May 2025 (2 months later) and would be leaving Tempe. I was concerned because I was aware that billing cycles on the membership are re-occuring. The front desk associate had gotten her manager to come to the front and speak with me. I explained to the manager my situation, and she had said that she has the authority to set the billing cycle to expire on a certain date. Together we booked my membership, and I was promised that my billing cycle would end May 1, 2025.
It is August now and I have just recently realized that I have been charged for June, July, and August. I called HOTWORX today and explained the situation. I spoke with the front-desk associate and explained to her my situation and requested a refund for the months I was charged that I did not authorize. She said that she did not have the authority to refund me. I asked her to speak with the manager, and she had said that the manager who booked my membership was no longer working there. Not only that, but there was no manager at the studio now at all. How can a professional fitness studio not have management? I then asked her if I can speak with the owner of the studio. She advised me that the owner is on vacation for 2 weeks, and that she doesn’t know if her text to her will go through. Later that evening, I recieved an email stating that she spoke with the owner, “ Per the owner of the studio, we will not be able to issue any additional refunds. As the owner, she has the final say in these matters, and this decision is final.”

This whole situation is beyond frustrating and beyond unprofessional. I worked at a fitness studio for 2 years, so I understand the concept of a re-occurring billing cycle/membership. But I also know that management at fitness studios have the authority to set the expiration date for a membership. I repeatedly expressed my concern to the manager at the time and she ensured and promised me that it would be taken care of. I am now being penalized for the past-manager not keeping her word.

I recently moved here from Florida and have visited several HOTWORX locations — and I have to say, this is by far the best one I’ve been to! The staff is incredibly friendly, and the cleanliness of the facility really stands out. Nicole is always so helpful, Great job to the whole team!

Terrible customer service and often quite rude. Do not get a membership. I was really excited and have been extremely disappointed with how I have been treated going in there. You will be roped into paying for so much more than they tell you up front. The store owner is there to make money not to accommodate your requests.

Cool Concept, Terrible Business Model.

WARNING: THEY WILL TRY TO TRAP YOU IN A NEVER ENDING SUBSCRIPTION!

Working out in a sauna, what a good idea! I actually really love the experience offered by this establishment.

However, their membership is overpriced, they often hit you with unexpected fees and additional costs. You are required to work out using their HotWorx branded yoga mat ($100+). When you go to cancel your membership they tell you that you have to either pay a cancellation fee (more than one month of membership) or continue to attend for two months and then you can cancel for free. The catch is, when you go to cancel two months later, they tell you the same thing they told you the first time! It’s outrageous that they even charge a cancellation fee to begin with…

It is for these reasons that I have rated the corporate company of HotWorx as a scummy 1-star establishment.

I LOOOOOOOVE THIS PLACE!!!!! All of the girls and the owner have been sweet, encouraging super knowledgeable and just down right awesome! The facility is bad azz! My friend and I originally joined because we were going on vaca and wanted to sweat out a few pounds, that turned into realizing how valuable it is to incorporate HOTWORX into our daily lives. I lost 10 pounds in my first month and I feel amazing! Not bloated and I noticed I am building strength in my weak areas specifically my legs are getting stronger and it is a great, quick workout. IM OBSESSED! The APP is easy to navigate and they have a ton of cool incentives for working out. If you want to kick up the burn during your workouts get the hot exercise gel and stomach wrap OMG my waist is snatched after the workout!!!! I love hot buns and barre non. I may or may not have cried in my first cycle class. 😂 BUT EMPOWERING!! I also have met several really cool ladies that workout there as well and we have shared saunas. Just a good vibe and good music! Thank you Nicole and Sidney!!!!! We love you!!!! 💜💜💜💜💜

As a busy Dad who has done orangetheory for years, HotWorx is an upgrade in efficiency and results on so many levels. First first of all, flexibility because you can drop in anytime 24 hours a day 7 days a week, and classes are ran virtually that start every 15 min. Workouts are only 15 minutes to 45min. The infrared just has you feeling happy when you leave for the next day or two. Oh, and it's half the price of orangetheory. So you can go drop in whenever you can make time, better results in half the time, oh and this location actually has dedicated parking you can drive right up. Upgrade, upgrade, upgrade! And the staff and ownership at this location are the best :-)

had an extremely disappointing experience with this gym. Despite providing clear proof of my relocation and not living in the area for two years, they refused to cancel my membership and continued charging me For TWO YEARS. The lack of flexibility and understanding in their cancellation process is unacceptable. It's frustrating to deal with a company that prioritizes billing over customer satisfaction and fairness.

I am visiting from out of town and planned to utilize the rental towel and mat. First their Apple Pay was broken so I walked next door to the local coffee shop to get some 1’s to pay in cash. Then their vending machine only allowed me to put in four $1 bills when the total cost is $5. I tried for a good 10minutes and had to refund my money. To top it off they gave me back 40 dimes instead of my bills. By this time I’m late for my session and can’t even perform without the towel and mat. Really inconvenient. If your vending machine is broken then you have to figure out a way to allow for rentals during unstaffed hours….

Me and my boyfriend started about 3 weeks ago and have been there almost everyday since we signed up which was the first day we had our first work out Natalie in the front has been very amazing and sweet she’s always there to offer help when needed, one of our main focuses about finding somewhere to work out was a place that creates that family type of environment and being respected Natalie also ALWAYS speak when we first come in which is important to us being from the south where it’s polite to speak which was hard to find in a business setting while being over this way and honestly it’s the kindness that keeps us coming back !

Everything about hotworx is amazing. The community it’s great, and the workouts are even better! It’s such a welcoming and safe place. Hotworkx Tempe, is my second home! The staff to the owner are so sweet and welcoming! It’s definitely worth signing up! Always so welcoming and eager to help! Today was my first visit to HOTWORKX and I can say it did not disappoint. If you are debating if you want to do it I say go for it. The saunas are amazing, a little intimidating at first but great once the workout starts. The workout videos are very encouraging and the in person staff is so nice, helpful, and personal. The technology that have is so cool but it is easy to use. The have a vending machine and even a shower. FX Zone is really nice and although I did not use it today I am excited to use it next time! It was an amazing experience and I am glad I got a membership today!

I wish I could have given even more stars than five. After personally selling gym memberships myself at one of the most prestigious clubs in the valley, I have to say I was so impressed with Mikayla at HOTWORX of Tempe. She was very thorough and definitely sold me on the value and the versatility of the HOTWORX experience. I am so excited to introduce my friends to this awesome new way of getting fit. It’s a very clean and brand new studio and it’s easy to get to and very centrally located in Tempe.

I have gone to alot of gyms. The traditional, the bootcamps, the boxing, etc... and I've also tried hot yoga before. This is a little different.
This has caused an area to tone in which I had started to give up on. Weather it's the infrared or the work out itself I'm all in. Especially because its between 15 to 45 mins. Max. The only downfall is the parking. It's a love hate relationship.

HOTWORX is a fabulous concept. It combines efficient workouts with the benefits of infrared energy and heat. I've been doing hot yoga for over 10 years and love it, but it can be time consuming and offered at times that don't work with my schedule. The fact that HOTWORX is open 24 hours a day means I can always get in a workout no matter what day of the week it is or what my work schedule looks like. The workouts are challenging - not just because it's hot either! The owner and staff are incredibly helpful and friendly - so glad I found this place!

I have been doing one session per day and I have already seen major improvements and an increase energy throughout the day! I was one of the first to become a member, and I could not be happier!! The manager Makayla and her team make me feel so welcome every time I come in and keep the studio very well maintained. This is a game changer. I just love the h🔥tworx concept. If you want a 30 min intense workout this is for you. And..If you like the heat. Burn calories and fat at the same time. I've always loved hot yoga and they have so many different physical training sessions to choose from. I think it's just a perfect place to work out for 30 minutes.
