The Gym itself is fine and I hear there is going to be a renovation with new equipment which will make it even better. It's never too crowded and thankfully the HS crowd seems to stay away. However the members are slobs they never put away the things they use and often you have to walk all over the gym to find what you need. It seems to have gotten better over the last few weeks and I see staff walking around engaging with the members and putting back the weights where they belong. However, it really should be the members themselves who take Take care of the things they use.

Been working out here for over a year now (both Signal Butte/Power Rd branch. It's almost always the same problem...SAUNA Takes more than a month to get fixed. It looks like they are cost cutting, too. Barely see employees working, and hours of operation is also cut. I love to work out here because it's not as crowded. I just hope this gym would make it, if not..it's time to let this go.

Every couple of months, for FIVE years, I have asked this location to get a trap/hex bar. I’ve talked to every manager and employee over 5 years and everyone promises it will happen. I have even offered to buy one and donate it. I don’t know what else to do. They are like $200. Please please get a trap bar. I like this gym and would give it 5 stars, but I’m exhausted from the run around. I’ll gladly change this review when a trap bar shows up. LA fitness corporate - how can we make this happen?

I'm giving this place a one star review not because of their amenities or lack thereof but because of their misleading operating hours on Google.

Apparently, the business hours were updated 5 days ago per the business on Google to close at 8pm on Sundays. So, I made the reasonable assumption that this place must be open until 8pm now. But no, that's completely incorrect. If you see the photo I uploaded of the post they haveon their store door, they've been closing at 6pm on Sundays since June 2025.

I wasted my gas money to come here looking forward to a workout. Please do a better job on frequently updating hours on Google so people like myself don't waste money and time to drive only to find out that it's closed.

It's an okay gym. It's never really too busy and that's my favorite part about it. It would be nice if they had a trap bar and a glute drive (hip thrust). But they don't so we have to go to EoS for those. My biggest issue with this gym is how desolate it looks and feels. There is an empty "juice bar", a large HIIT room full of construction material that's just been sitting here collecting dust, and a pilates room that also looks unused. It's been like this for a year or more? They're also missing a lot of weights in the free weight area. Specifically the EZ bars. The racks are half full. The photo I took of the empty squat racks and free weights was taken on a Friday at 5:15pm. It's dead. Instead of expanding hours, they're actually reducing hours. Which makes sense for them to try and save money since they're currently being sued by the FTC for how difficult it can be to cancel a membership. Although I like this gym, and want to continue going here, there is no denying the vibe feels like it's going to close soon. Which I hope does not happen. Can't stand the crowds at EōS. The purpose of this review is not to detract others from joining, but for LA Fitness to implement some changes, improvements, whatever it takes.

Immediately after I originally wrote this review I went into the sauna (super hot here so I love that) and an older gentleman said "I hope this place makes it" without me even mentioning any of this.

This is to everyone out there posting a one-star review on a gym. Chillax man it's an gym. There's always someone cleaning up no matter when I go. And I don't think I'm far base here when I say it's actually easier to bad mouth the gym then it is to stick to your exercise routine. 80% of all these posts are about financial issues dealing with a couple of bucks. Cancel your gym membership and go back to the dollar store. Because that's where you belong.

I go almost daily and the gym is very good with weights and cardio equipment and lap pool and sauna. I have attended an assortment of great classes from cycle and body works and yoga. From last review, I increased back to 5 stars as they have made some improvements and the saunas have been consistently working.

It may have old equipment, a sauna that doesn't really get hot nd is way overdue for an update, old TV technology for cardio equipment, cardio equipment that needs to Maintenace'd better, but the crowd is just right. I literally have to call the gym every day, to see if everything is working and it seems that something is not working almost every day! Sometimes the Spa that’s not working or the Sauna’s not working or the pool is closed or there’s no hot water. I call, because I like this gym and I would prefer to go there, however I will go to another gym, if everything isn’t working. The problem is, no one answers the phone, so I just go to EōS instead. LA Fitness is abdicated there responsibility to their customers by not having all amenities up and working at all times or at least fixing things in a timely manner.

I have many complaints but I’ll keep my review limited to one issue in particular. I was told that the Jacuzzi heater was replaced a few weeks ago. This may be true but it seems nobody is monitoring the temperature of the water. It should not exceed 104F. If I had to guess, it’s set at more like 106-8F. It’s too darn hot!

I’ve alerted the front desk numerous times, including this past Sunday (5/25/25). When I spoke with a front desk person and asked that they inform management, he seemed to scoff at me and basically dismissed my concerns or request. That in and of itself was disappointing and disrespectful. I don’t think I was asking too much or making an outrageous request.

To this day the Jacuzzi is still practically unbearable. Is LA Fitness trying to boil their patrons? Why is this simple request being ignored?

This is an old feeling gym. Many of the mini lockers for keys and phones are broken, it's had an empty shake shop in the club for a long time, the pool always seems to just look murky, Bathrooms are kind of gross, and half of the racket ball courts have been converted into HIT rooms that are always closed. I do like the amount of free weights and the turf workout area but there's nothing really special about this location.

I signed my son up for a membership a couple of weeks ago and specifically asked the salesman multiple times if guest privileges were included. Each time, he assured me they were. However, when we visited the gym for the second time, we were stopped and told that the membership does not include guest privileges.

I asked the staff to have someone call me to clarify the situation, left my phone number, and was told I’d receive a call the next day. That call never came. It seems like they’ll say anything to get you to sign up, but once you’re in, the customer service disappears. Very disappointing experience.

I've been a member here for years. Facility and staff are great. So are the members. I've made some good friends over the years while working out here. Recently, I took a six month trip out of the country and thought I would have to cancel my membership and start new when I got back. Jason is an amazing personal trainer. I’ve been working with him for two years and have never felt better.

I started with him when I was 65. He is a Master trainer and incredibly knowledge about his craft. He is very patient with me no matter how many questions I ask and makes sure my form is correct on every exercise so I don’t get hurt.

I started working out to have more energy, lower my stress level due to my mom who has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and get off antidepressants.

The stress level has been reduced, I have more energy and have gotten off one of my antidepressant medications. I’ve changed no other part of my lifestyle except adding the gym.

My chiropractor is quite impressed with my progress. He says I am adjusting much easier because of my working out.

I’m so happy he is my trainer and with the results. He treats me like I’m his only client which makes it easy to be consistent, show up for every session and work hard.

I would recommend him to anyone who is serious about improving their health no matter what age.

Was using this facility while visiting in town for a family wedding event. Enjoyed using the heated pools, liked that the restrooms were cleaner and much of the structure is similar to other L.A. Fitness areas (tennis and basketball courts, treadmills and bikes, energy drink vending machine).

The staff was kind but very busy on their phones the first visit. On the second day, it was understaffed and the front desk claimed my account wasn’t registering here despite my account being on a nationwide gym usage plan.

It started out great but kept ending in disappointnent each time.

Good gym, usually pretty clean and I don't find myself having to wait all too often for machines or racks. HOWEVER for the several years I've been going here there has definitely been some sort of sewage or plumbing problem that hasn't been fixed, every so often when I go and open the door I'm greeted by a pooey sewage smell that permeates the ENTIRE building. And I can't workout in that so i usually leave... thankfully it's not super often but it's often enough to be pretty annoying and I am at a loss as to why it hasn't been fixed. At least the new staff try to cover it up when it happens with strong scents now...

I had high hopes but now I’m stuck for at least a year due to the contract. I’ve been a member for about a month so far but I cannot get over the uncleanliness of the gym. Every time I leave my workout, my palms are grossly dirty, black with dust. It’s clear they don’t sanitize the machine, equipment, dumbbells as much as they need to. I see the same trash in the same spot for 2-3 days. Management needs to step up their cleaning routine.

Very poor maintenance of sauna and shower today. The sauna temperature control is and has been a joke allowing anyone who walks by to crank it up well beyond safe. Management has done nothing. Today, it was beyond safe. Then, as a capper, there was only cold water in the shower. I hop the new customer manager is more focused on customers than the previous clown.

Adding into chett petersons review, I end up getting hurt half the time I play basketball, the basketball courts are neglected from being clean when it only takes 5 min to do, All i ask for is management to add sweeping or mopping the courts to the routine of cleaning.

Over time the quality of basketball courts have declined heavily. It seems like there is no care even put into it and it shows. These have to be the dustiest courts i’ve ever seen.

The basketball courts are not up to par for actually playing games, come here if you want want to slide around in dust and injure yourself. I’ll be taking my talents elsewhere because these basketball courts are horrible!

Yup, they like easy money, they stole money from us back in 2020. We got a membership contract for a year with personal training for my husband and me, we paid with CC.
We went to the gym for 3 months and everything was "OK."
Then they had to close down because of COVID-19, and we went online to put on hold the membership twice. We got sick and then very busy and didn't notice they never stopped charging us, they charge over 2,000 we tried to call the corporate office, but guess what? There's no phone number!!!
When they opened back up, we went to the manager but their solution was, if we pay 50 dollars a month we can go back to the gym and they will reactivate the membership!!! Why do we have to pay more money?? They practically wanted to still more money from us. So we stopped going. God will take care of that.

You have to download an app to use this gym. Why can't you join and use a gym without HAVING to download and use the app? How many apps are folks being forced to install just to use a business? What does your app track? How secure is your app? Why is an app mandatory?
