How hard is it to post your correct hours on the your google page? Showed up to use the facilities at 6:30pm on the 26th, gates are closed but you’re google listing shows your open till 9pm, not cool!!

I was recently invited by a local to check out a workout class at La Mariposa Venue & Event Space, which is also home to La Mariposa Sports Club & Fitness Center — and wow, what an unexpected delight. I had no idea this place even existed, and I’m honestly so glad I showed up because it turned out to be such a memorable experience.

You never really know where you’ll stumble upon a true sense of community, and this gym is absolute proof of that. I’ve been to countless studios, gyms, and boutique fitness spaces — some incredibly bougie, some incredibly pricey — and yet the kind of community they wish they had is exactly what La Mariposa has already built. It’s genuine, it’s tight-knit, and it’s been nurtured for years.

During my visit, I met members who have been working out together for over two decades, which says everything you need to know about the atmosphere here. The class itself was fantastic, the energy was great, and everyone was so welcoming. It’s the kind of place that instantly reminds you that community isn’t created by fancy equipment or high-end decor — it’s created by people.

A truly wonderful find. I left feeling energized, grateful, and inspired to come back. 💛

I don't get the negative reviews on here...La Mariposa has been my "go-to" fitness solution since 2008. We get the family three-year plan which basically gives you almost a year free each time based on the costs of the one year. I'm a daily morning swimmer, and LesMills RPM. In fact, my best days include an hour swim followed by RPM - almost a triathlon!

Although I've been on deployment for over three years, I was recently certified as a Group Fitness Instructor and hope to start leading some classes like RPM, Body PUMP, or perhaps bring some new ones in. I know they're planning a huge renovation in the near term, and I'm excited to join in their success and bring my zeal for fitness to the wonderful members. Looking forward to getting back at it - EVERY REP COUNTS!

The facility is so old and outdated. No signs of upgrades. The staff for the most part is good but too much politics and I go every day. The tension is so obvious. I will be looking for s more suitable facility

What an incredible spot for a club. I have spent time last year and this year with a punch card. Despite this great location, the facility is very run down and needs some serious loving. The people are terrific, but I heard the same last year, that I did this year. Remodel is coming...and coming. The womens locker room is very old, last week as I used a locker the door fell off its hinges. The showers are dirty, the heater in the pool is erratic. The sad thing is that there are not many clubs on the east side, so this place could be AMAZING...but its not. Sad to say.

Just tried to go to a Body Balance class and called to confirm the time this morning (since they laughingly shared with me last time that their online schedule is never up to date). Was told that the class is at 10:15 am. When I arrived, I found out the class was at 9:30 am. Had completely rescheduled my morning around it. Second time this has happened. Very frustrating. I LOVE the class - but the La Mariposa organization itself leaves a lot to be desired.
