Spent 3 weeks there and I didn't think it was possible to lose the amount of fat I did whilst also building muscle. I was hoping to lose "not too much" muscle but actually added. The coaches all brought a unique perspective and were great to work with. The food was outstanding. Everyone cared about getting results for the participants and monitored and adjusted what you were doing. The participants bonded and it was such a fun, challenging atmosphere. Going back to finish the job in a few months!

Be prepared to work hard! I have just completed two weeks at Fitness Retreat and I am very happy with what I have learned and with my results. I have gotten stronger and lost some weight but beyond that I have proven to myself that I can do this!! You can do it too.

This program is the real deal! All the meals are customized to you and are both healthy and delicious. Chef Jason also takes into account dietary restrictions and preferences when preparing the meals. The program is intense but you will loose so much fat and gain muscle. Coaches are all amazing and friendly and carve a positive environment. Shout out to Coach Anniemarie, Coach Lisa, Coach Michelle, Coach Maria, and Coach Tony. All coaches bring a special touch to the program and classes they teach. This program also sets you up to be successful when you return home with an app that includes recipes, workouts, and a strongly encouraged scale to purchase to get your macros right when making meals at home

I just completed a four week program and the results are mind blowing! The fat loss and muscle gain I accomplished here in this time was something I didn't think possible. In total I gained about 8 pounds of lean mass and am down 13 pounds of pure fat, with a loss of body fat percentage of more than 6%. These types of results usually take many months. I'm amazed and thrilled with my progress. The structure of the program, while challenging, is absolutely worth it and the trainers and coaches are second to none. They were receptive to all of our needs and couldn't have been more supportive and fun to work with. I was in awe of their expertise and passion for what they do. I only spent a week at live in fitness but it was so transformative and informative; I’ve been very active at home but not seeing the results I’d like. With the science of RMR (calories burned just exiSting) they make a meal plan for you to follow which is so helpful. Coaches are very informative, have personal experience with fitness and never let you give up—even when you think k there’s nothing left in the tank they help you push through.

Arizona also has some beautiful nature that we were able to explore daily, the hikes were challenging but an amazing way to start the day.

Amazing program. The coaches here push me harder than I ever would have pushed myself, and I can feel the difference already. The mental and nutritional aspects of self-care are also covered, but the majority of the time I'm hiking or working out. The best decision I made was to immerse myself in this program for 4 weeks. I not only left losing 11.49 pounds of pure fat, 6.96% body fat, and gaining 3.49 pounds of muscle, but also with all the knowledge and tools to continue my regimen back home. I signed up for 2 weeks. This was a great decision. It was exactly what I was looking for. The entire team from start to finish geniunely love their job and it shows with the support they offer each trainee. You hit the ground running day 1. You set goals and they keep you are track to reach your goals. The enviroment is very positive. The meals are awesome. Chef Jason does an awesome job with the meals. The meals are tailored for you. The accomodations are just what I expected. This is not a spa...this is a place you make a decision to invest in yourself and your future by making life changes to better your health. Not only do they help direct you while you are there, they give you the tools to be successful going home They start preparing you for going home on day 1. I would chose this place again and hope to return.

I went to LIF for a month and could not be happier. I had not worked this hard in decades, but it was completely worth it. I lost a ton of fat and packed on pounds of lean mass. The program was not overly complicated but was very intense. I thought it might be helpful to provide an overview of my experience.

Day 1 - the first couple of hours is just testing. They get your weight, your measurements, they get your exact body fat and lean muscle mass, they test your resting metabolic rate, and they get your VO2 max (which you will use for some of the workouts). Then you jump right into workouts. You then go to lunch with all the new people and the people that are already there. They do a quick orientation about the program, nutrition, staying hydrated, etc. Your food is labeled for you. This is pretty cool because it is all different sizes and customized for you. I did the math on this and this means that the chef had about an hour to get your info from the trainers doing the testing and then get your food portioned out. I dont have any dietary restrictions but a lot of people there did and their food was customized.

From then on most days follow the same schedule:

Morning - go on a hike - they give you a snack they second they pick you up - the hikes rotate through a bunch of local hikes. You can take them at your own pace. It took me about a week to really start pushing myself on the hikes, but once I got comfortable I started burning a ton of calories during the hikes. Then you go to breakfast.

Midmorning - this kind of follows the same schedule every day - two mixed cardio and weight workouts plus some kind of yoga or stretching. Also, for anyone trying to add on lean mass, you can do personal training. I did and found it totally different than any personal training I had done before. It was fast paced, incorporated few rests, and they used a different technique. It kind of flew in the face of everything I had learned about growing muscle when I was younger - but it worked. Then off to lunch.

Lunch - there would be some kind of lecture, whether it was on nutrition, how to portion out your food, how to be successful at home, etc.

Afternoon - similar to the midmorning. Two mixed cardio and weight workouts plus some kind of yoga or stretching. Again, personal training for those doing it.

Then off to dinner where you would eat and they would give you a snack to take home to eat a few hours later.

The workouts vary. One morning might be tabata, the next afternoon might incorporate spinning. They have a ton of options including things like swimming.

The trainers push you but they dont scream and yell or belittle. They are super positive and they fostered a very positive environment. When someone hit a goal, all the participants were genuinely happy for them. When someone was upset, the group would try to help. I had not been around such a great group in a long time. I’m probably in better shape at this point then I was in law school and I am within striking distance of being at an “ideal” body fat percentage.

With that said, THIS IS NOT A MEDSPA. It is not relaxing and they are not pumping you with injections or giving you treatments. They follow the old school (but proven) technique of eating healthy and working your butt off. I would recommend this to anyone that actually is willing to work. If you aren’t willing to work hard though, definitely stay home. You will learn to push yourself in ways you didn’t think possible.

I'll first say, i dont go to places like this, but as my wife kind of convinced me...
I made the best of it and participated in everything. I found most of the staff very helpful. There was a problem with the accommodation for us at first, once we spoke to the right staff member it was dealt with quickly .
I think there program is top notch and you will get results, as long as you put the effort in!
CHEF Jason created some amazing meals and i always had food in my tummy 😋treated us very well.
I also did a cooking leason with him and learned lots about food and how to cook and eat more healthy.
I would like to see more longer hikes and pickleball in the future there.
If you want to restart your life this is the place to go.

I have been to many fitness retreats over the past 20 years. Up until this point I have not advocated for any one in particular because each one has it’s pros and cons. Today this changes.
I have attended Live In Fitness at four locations over 12 years. One thing that LIF data has shown me is that I have lost 18 lbs of lean muscle in that time. Wow. That was a shock for me. My weight was up but lean muscle was down. I also have played pickleball over the past five years 3 to 5 times per week consistently. My RMR was great as was my heart rate zones, clearly showing my fitness but muscle was a problem. Eric went over everyone's results together so we could learn from each other and understand what part of our personal journey needed adjustment. In Eric’s words, he has become a lean muscle expert unintentionally. To stay young we need to keep and build that muscle and LIF with Eric’s formula does just that, measurably.

This is a workplace. It is not a spa. It is not a resort. If you come here, come to work and to expect the best results in the time you commit as long as YOU do the work and put in the effort.

To that expectation I have a few suggestions:

1. Do not bring shoes out of the box. Wear them before you get there. If you do not, expect blisters.
2. Bring blister fixes. Be prepared. If there is a hot spot, cover it immediately. Blisters are awful.
3. Don’t bring a fitness watch and pull it out of the box in the van. Pull it out, charge it and figure it out at home. Find a watch face you can see well that will show heart rate and calories. Relying on others that have come to LIF to sort you out on the fly is inconsiderate.
4. Speaking of inconsiderate, please be considerate. Everyone is an adult and no one is there to clean up after you. Turn out lights, clean up in the bathroom, turn off the TV, use earbuds so that others are not bothered, bring a sweater to wear if it is chilly and don't expect the whole area to be at a comfortable temperature for YOU if it is not for all the others.
5. The hike Wednesday is Pinnacle. If is numbered and goes to 102. One of my co-campers stopped at 90 as he didn’t know it went to 102.
6. The pool is awesome. All lane swimming. Worth working it in. Bring goggles if you are going.
7. Try not to sit, especially not in the same spot lots of the day so it seemed like your name is on the chair. See 4.
8. Friday Lucas goes over the FitCulture App. Open it and sign in while he does it. I thought I could do it later and struggled and then had to contact them for extra help. Do a better job than me. Haha
9. If you are at Rocking you are picked up in the morning and need to bring everything with you for the day. Bring a backpack. I like to change out of my hiking gear for the rest of the day. I saw people working out in their hiking gear. Not my favorite.
10. Bring hiking shoes if you have them. Runners are ok but hiking shoes are better if you are on the rocks. No slipping.
10. Bring Advil, cold medicine, roll on muscle relief.
11. If you drink coffee, slowly stop before you come. If you don’t you will get a headache. There are enough things sore here. You don’t need your head to be one of them.
12. You will hear this many times on the first day but be positive, Don’t complain. Look for solutions. Be the solution. There were times my last trip that the negative complaining effected the campers and the guide. Wrecks things for everyone. There is always a solution.

These scenarios were all experienced the last time I attended LIF.

In conclusion, I will only be attending LIF in the future. I found clear answers and measurable results.

My experience at live in fitness has been a positive one.I signed up for one week to start this year on a healthier lifestyle. At age almost 80 I realize my health is my most important job. I wanted to learn proper exercise plan and a good eating plan.it has been hard but the staff has been very supportive.since I have not been working out they have shown ways to get started and motivated me to push myself to do my best. If you are looking to get fit with body and mind search no further. My story…..I am 56 and pretty fit but was “stuck” I felt I needed to change my diet push myself more and have more positive energy so I went thru and looked up fitness camps. I called and Jermaine was wonderful in setting me up for a stay. I just finished on the 21st of December…….the week EXCEEDED all expectations, no sweets, no caffeine and a diet catered for each client. Every day was a test of body and mind but starting with incredible 2 hour hikes. The owners, coaches and staff and measurement technology, work out space, meals and accommodations were 5 star. Not to mention the other clients……all incredible with their own stories and physical strengths to push each other and encourage……..wish I could give them 10 stars, they changed my life forever for the better. I came out stronger, balanced and positive. I hope this review finds you well and I hope if you read this your next step will be to call Sarah or Jermaine and put you on the path to balance of physical, mental gain. This journey has been great! The week I was in LIF was a great learning experience, physically demanding sonI could get out of my plateau, I made many friends and the trainers Mel, Michelle, Lucas, Lisa and , of course, Erick - the founder - are all very knowledgeable and they encourage and challenge you and all makes the fitness journey a joy despite the endurance. I chose LIF bc it is Scientifically based. From the Vo2 Max test to determine your exact cardio zones, to the RMR test to determine your Resting Metabolic Rate which determines your precise calories and Eric's Macro ratio based on your goals. This far exceedes any other program i was able to find. Finally and most importantly, you are weighed in the dunk tank every week to provide the most accurate progress from your weekly work out.

So the weekly work outs...WILL kick your A$$. While your results will depend on your effort, you cannot go without making progress. I went as a 65 yr old out of shape fat man who couldn't get up and down on the floor wo great effort and basically would just fall down the last 6 inches. I left being able to do the "inch worm".

My results.
Week 1 14lbs of Body Fat BF.
Week 2 10lbs BF.
Week 3 Plateau
Week 4 8lbs BF
Total BF lost 32lbs.
Dropped 3 inches in my waist (have dropped another 1 inch since returning home). I went with a goal, to go from size 40 waist to a 34. I made it to 361/2. I couldn't quite get the 36s buttoned. I worked hard, with the greatest team of coaches and trainers. I had a couple of restrictions due to a pre-existing abdominal injury, Lucas developed a program specifically to work around my limitations, and not just mine, there were others that required modifications, and the whole team communicated what the alterations were and no one felt singled out. No matter what your "limitations" may be the team will make sure to maximize your benefits and progress through the process. While I was there we had a Lady in her 70s, and one in her 80’s, they both worked hard and had great results. I promise you, regardless of your condition when you arrive, you WILL leave healthier and feeling much better.

You will also make new friends. I was blessed to have crossed over with many wonderful friends and we still keep encouraging one another. This, along with the 30 day App, has kept me on track (for the most part LOL) and helped me loose that extra inch.

When you leave the "Bootcamp" you will have 30 days of videos to show you how to make your meals AND your 2 daily workouts AND your Yoga/stretching. I also found a meal delivery service that hits my exact Carb, Protein, Fat Ratio based on my RMR and goals.

I am planning My next visit and will pay extra for the Flexibility/Mobility "track". I will also purchase the personal Training sessions. Eric has a Mind Muscle connection built-in to the training sessions. My daughter who attended with me, said she really benefited greatly from this approach. It helps to get to muscle failure much more efficiently.

If you decide to WORK this program you WILL have Great results, regardless of your current condition. GO FOR IT!!

I had such an amazing experience at Live In Fitness! It's a holistic program that goes well beyond just exercise. The workouts are intense but the trainers recognize your strengths and offer modifications when needed. The nutrition plan is tailored to your specific goals and the meals are delicious. I have spent a week in living fitness and have never had better instructors in any classes I have taken like all of these. They all truly care about each and every person. They go beyond making sure that we get the best and most out of each one. I took muscle training with Lucas, Mel, Lisa and Michelle.Great, great workouts by each of them. They were very serious that I got the most out of me that they could, even when I complained they pushed and I succeeded! Love all of them

I can not say the same about the accommodations. I expected to have a room with my friend and our own bathroom. We had a room for us and had to share a bathroom with another women! Three women sharing a bathroom????
There were no towels in the gym. We are all here to work out and sweat, No towels??? I would love to come back to work out with the trainers, but because of the living accommodations I can't.

My son and I both went for the weak stay. Truly an amazing experience. We both had fantastic results. In five days I lost 6 pounds and 3% of my body fat. The knowledge that you will gain during this camp far exceeds the results I received in the stay. The tests they give you are top notch. Based on that information, they will give you a workout plan along with a food plan. The workouts are no joke. All of the trainers were super friendly and extremely helpful. I never felt hungry on the food plan as you eat every few hours. The food is also delicious. The morning hikes were phenomenal and a lot of fun. I gained a lot of knowledge from the lectures. We actually booked our next trip before we left and by doing so you get a small discount, which is really nice. Super excited to see my next test results now that I have a game plan. First off a big salute to Eric for designing an amazing program that really works for all shapes and sizes!

I came to LIF as someone that works out all of the time, but with issues with not eating the right foods, the right amount & I couldn't get my macros right. I decided to give it a try at the recommendation of friends who had gone before and I admit I was a bit skeptical.

I just checked out after staying here for a week. The trainers and staff were all amazing to work with and Chef Jason whipped up outstanding low cal meals that even this picky eater loved!

After 5.5 days of really hard work and good, clean eating I lost 11 pounds and 4.5% body fat while also gaining lean mass. I am blown away by the results & definitely feel like I finally have a plan for food going forward. I can't thank LIF enough for helping me on my journey!

Best of luck to everyone and if you need help, LIF has a program that is fail proof, literally. Do what they tell you to do, have a great attitude and give effort and watch the pounds come off. Not water weight mind you, LIF focuses on losing pounds while gaining or maintaining lean mass, which is another selling point. They aren't just trying to have you sweat out a bunch of water weight and calling it a victory. They are teaching you how to maintain when you leave!

If you're reading reviews wondering if you should book some time with Live in Fitness, DO IT. Don't hesitate, it will change your life for the better.

I needed some inspiration after a bout of bad health that led me to gain a bunch of weight. My confidence was down in my ability to exercise and lose the extra pounds. The trainers at Live in Fitness were encouraging and knowledgable. They pushed me to my limit but never in a way that felt like I couldn't - they made me feel like I could.

The friendship and encouragement of others in the program was a huge bonus. I've come home with a support system, an exercise and food plan and loads of inspiration and knowledge to carry me through to my goals. I haven't felt this great in years.

3:7/5 overall a good experience.

I stayed for 2 weeks (5/13/24-6/1/24) and have lost 12lbs total (15 fat mass down and 3lbs of muscle gained) I don’t have my results for my third week but I am writing this review early than my next set of results. So I did burn a good amount for this program.

The biggest issues I have with this program are:
- poor orientation and first day experience
- Heat will whoop your A and reduce your performance
- equipment is fairly beaten up and performs poorly
- food is good but forgets to season every now and again
- Instructors can forget that they are working with fat people
- other people are poorly regulated (literally had a person calling people names and being combative with instructors in front of the whole group and she was not removed from the program 🤯) other peoples energy will affect your results so make some friends or bring them.
- hidden up charges for an already spendy program (they are optional but it’s discouraging if you thought the athletes program came with it and it turns out to be an additional $130 a day)
Couldn’t expand on these as the character limit was met and I had to cut it down.

Positives about this program
- diet is catered to you and they are flexible about getting it tuned in for your results
- some phenomenal trainers that do have passion for their work
- decent living accommodations for your stay
- diverse exercises through out the day
- pretty good timeliness between events
- great nutritional knowledge
- good after care program through their app that is free after your stay
- great people that can make the stay worth it

Some of the phenomenal trainers,
Michelle is someone who truly understands the struggle of being overweight and not only demonstrates her resolve on a daily basis but happily shares techniques, plans, and tips for your success. She can empathize with your struggle and help you see the light of a brighter day. She can push you, help you, and lift you up. Her exercises are very accommodating and she is mindful of the limitations of others without having to ask her for a modification. She is quite perceptive and encouraging with everyone she works with. Her motivational speeches do genuinely come from the heart and will be real with you if need be.

Mel (I think melinda???) has some great knowledge and personal capabilities, but will quickly demonstrate advanced moves that many will not be able to perform. She is definitely someone who has little experience working with big people and often sets them up without modifications unless you ask. Her approach seems to be “let’s have you try to do something you haven’t done” but can sometimes discourage people when they have to face their bodies limitations. I think her approach would work better if she started with the extremely modified work initially and then went up to the advanced forms. She is huge into energy and will quickly show frustration or disappointment with the group is defeated or spent. She will try to raise the groups moral with compliments but by that point they feel forced and don’t have to intended effect. Her motivational speeches will also fall a bit short as many don’t feel like her words come from a place of shared empathy and understanding.

Lisa is a positive and outstanding coach. She will use soft pushing methods and address you to encourage engagement but without negative force. In the classes she leads, she is always encouraging movement at any level and leads with modifications without having to ask for much else. She likes to see you hustle and will quickly acknowledge your hard work.

Sinclair is another straight up instructor. She can have a chill and relaxed demeanor but will quickly call out the energy in the room if it is down or negative. She can come off a bit hostile at times but is coming from a place of sincere concern for your progress and goals. When you push, she will see you, and when you don’t, she will address it. She can be very “go with the flow” in some of her workouts and it can make them interesting and fun.

Very surprised about the amount of body fat I had than I thought. Having to go from 169 pounds to 142 pounds to make 10% body fat is crazy! Learned a lot from Lucas about each test and how it shows how many calories I burn in a day.

I recently had back surgery and have fallen off training and staying in shape. I have been looking for a place to help get back my focus. I was able to set up an appointment with Live In Fitness Retreat for initial body testing. I was a little nervous going in, but Lucas immediately made me comfortable. I was looking for a mental reset after a hard couple of years. I was so excited when I found Live in Fitness. It’s a total package. I’ve never been happier or felt better. I’ve also never worked harder.

I have had lots of issues over the years as I get older. And I love how this program is forming a healthier lifestyle with habits and knowledge.

I also went through the Culinary Experience with Chef Jason. Probably the best food I’ve ever eaten and it was a huge bonus that it fit into my macros. Yes, it takes time and work and dedication. Have been training with Lucas for 2 months now. The main focus has been legs because I am recovering from an ACL surgery next year. His workouts have helped tremendously and continue to do so. LIF lives up to its reputation. I’ve been here since 1 April 2023 and 6 weeks in I’m in the best shape of my life. The staff here are very dedicated to the client’s goals to reclaim their lives and increase their physical capabilities. The meals are incredible made by in-house chef Jason. Weight Loss and Physical Fitness Program. If you are committed to improving your physical, emotional and maybe a spiritual self than this is the program you should give serious thought to. I recently completed the entire body composition testing, and I was absolutely blown away!!! I was nervous at first however Lucas made me feel comfortable and encouraged me throughout the whole process. The staff challenged me to push myself while also encouraging me to listen to my body. It was wonderful to have both the staff and so many positive folx cheering me on as I continued to increase my physical mobility.

And I strongly recommend the culinary experience because you get an opportunity to see how easy it is to maintain healthy eating habits without sacrificing flavor, portion control, and your wallet. My 8 week stay at live in fitness was great. I am 20 years old and came to live in fitness at 240 LBS and leaving at 215 LBS. I feel great and can physically see a difference. Live in fitness will help you meet your goals mentally and physically! Expect working out all day and good meals. Chef Jason is great at his job and prepares delicious meals to your specific macros. Thank you for helping me get my life back!
When I came to Live in Fitness I was in rough shape. Had been dealing with health issues the last few years and barely sleeping a few hours per night. Gained some weight, especially during the pandemic. I felt like I was in a slump and lacked the focus and motivation to get better. I knew I needed to hit the "Reset" button to help get me started again. I finally made the commitment and signed up for this program. Shout out to Jermaine and Sammy for taking my calls, emails and answering all my questions before I took this journey. This really helped me to take the first step. After a little less than 3 weeks at Live in Fitness I'm down 23.8 pounds of fat and have gained 5 pounds of lean mass. My body fat is down 7.7%. I feel 10 years younger, have a ton of energy and my mind is sharp again. This program is a lot of hard work but worth it all. There are no short cuts but with Live In Fitness I found the platform, structure and tools I needed to make the change. The food here is amazing. Chef Jason is a culinary master. I was shocked at how much they fed us and how much I enjoyed eating the right foods and the proper balanced diet. The lectures and information I received on nutrition and food from Eric, Jason and the entire team at LIF are invaluable. At first, I was surprised at how much time we spent focusing on mental fitness as well as physical fitness but once it clicked for me how important this was, I started to see and feel real progress. One of my favorite things about this program is the morning hikes. 6 days a week we had the opportunity to hike different trails in the Arizona desert and mountains. I took advantage of every chance to hike and this helped me tremendously with my fitness goals. This part of the country is beautiful and exploring the numerous parks while the sun rises every morning was a treat for me. The best thing about Live in Fitness is without a doubt, The People. My peers in this program were welcoming and everyone worked hard to help motivate each other. The trainers are inspiring. Every trainer here helped me push past barriers and helped with the right type of motivation I needed at the right time. Lisa, thank you for the best playlists on the planet. And for the inspiring speeches on loving ourselves. Mel, thank you for kicking my butt when I needed it. Thank you for your never-ending positivity and energy. In my first 2 weeks here, I've lost 18.63lbs of body fat and gained 3.63lbs of muscle. More importantly, I've gone from not even being able to walk a quarter mile to being able to walk over 4 miles without any problems. Again, this is with only 2 weeks of training.

Regarding the measured results, they give us 2 tests (RMR and VO2 max) on arriving and a weekly hydrostatic body composition test (aka "dunk" test). The RMR test tells you how many calories you need to consume to maintain your current weight, the VO2 max test tells you what your heart rate range should be to burn the most calories, and the weekly dunk tests show you your actual fat loss rather than a nebulous weight loss. More importantly, all of these tests give you the values for YOU, not some theoretical person with your height and weight.

The trainers are amazing. Mel is the most positive person I know and always gets us excited, Lisa is an inspiration with her dedication to living a healthy lifestyle, and Michelle is always able to pick us up when we're about to give up by sharing her own experiences and showing us that we can do it to.

As Lucas and Eric always say, this is not a resort. We come here to do work, and the biggest piece of advice I can give anyone considering coming here is to make sure you're ready to push as hard as you can. You will get out so much more than you put in.

Also, huge shoutout to Chef Jason. He is an absolute magician in the kitchen. If I told myself a month ago that I'd have a fruit parfait for breakfast, pizza for lunch and steak for dinner, I'd probably think I was binge eating again. And yet, somehow, Chef Jason manages to make it all healthy and fit within our macros.

Live In Fitness was the BEST experience I have ever had. Granted I have never done anything like this but I cannot stop thinking about how much I enjoyed and needed this program. Although I have fitness goals and was interested in transforming my body through fitness, my main reason for going to Live In was for mental health and soothing my soul. The staffing was amazing and all the trainers are truly passionate in helping guest achieve their personal goals and changing their lives for the better. From the moment I called to inquire about the program, to the lead up of arrival day and the final day of my week long stay I felt so motivated and excited about what they were offering. Chef Jason provided amazing meals that were not only flavorful but satisfying and completely tailored to each person. I never felt hungry or unsatisfied with the amount or quality of the food provided. As for the rigorous schedule, it was tough and the guests were actively involved in some form of fitness for 5-7 hours a day but it did not feel like too much. Don't get me wrong, it was incredibly hard and I am pretty sure some days I felt like I needed to be peeled off the mat. All the guests were encouraged to push to their limits and as a result it was truly satisfying to finish the day knowing how hard I worked. Never in my mind would I have thought I could do that much fitness in one day let alone for a full week. Live In fitness has a culture of positive encouragement and really focus on fostering teamwork. This is definitely not a spa (as they repeated say), instead this is a lease on life for anyone struggling with their bodies and minds. If you are unsure about doing this program DON'T BE. It has changed my life. My only caveat is be prepared to work harder than you ever have before, but the most important thing to bring is a positive mindset and realize this is an incredible opportunity to change your life.

I came to “Live in Fitness” looking for a retreat to kick start me back into a healthier and more active lifestyle … something that had been lacking in my life since Covid. What I received were experiences and memories that will last me a lifetime.
Each day was very intense but packed with interesting and often fun activities for strength training and cardio. The days were long and we had very little time to ourselves but I can honestly say I feel amazing after completion of the program. I am returning home a new and changed person.
We began each morning with a hike where we were able to watch beautiful Arizona sunrises, often from decent elevations. The hikes were generally two hours but there were plenty of options for individuals not comfortable doing the hikes.
The food is prepared by a chef with remarkable culinary abilities which made breakfast, lunches and dinners something to look forward to.
In addition there are four amazing trainers : Michelle, Lisa, Mel and Lucas - each with their own niche abilities and vibrant personalities which made the experience that much more memorable. I will not forget Lisa’s spinning classes, Lucas’s boxing workouts, Michelle’s weight training circuits or Mel’s “butts and guts” classes. All four personalities contributed to an awesome time and a fun way to workout.
Throughout my 3 week stay, I met many people that I have stayed in touch with and now call friends.
All in all an amazing experience!

Went back to live in fitness Aug 2023, last time I was as there was June 2020 and it still remains to be the best decision I have made when it comes to progressing my fitness, any one at any fitness level can come here and be challenged, you just have to want it, the coaches are outstanding, they push you but also are understanding and you feel how they truly want you to better your self, I got excellent care for all the staff, I was treated so kindly by the other campers, the food is so delicious, the chef does an amazing job in making it wonderful, and the accommodations were awesome, i was comfortable in my room it was clean and all prepared for me, and the personal training is something they also offer, I highly recommend it, all the coaches kicked my butt and being in the Marine Corps before I was use to working out and lifting weights but these guys made me go past any limit I had, and the stretching that is a must, it kept my flexibility, mobility and stability up during my stay there, if you are on the fence on coming here, let me be the person to tell you that it’s well worth it and you deserve it, I highly recommend it!

So thankful for Live in Fitness!
In only two weeks my body changed so much. It's not just the 13 pounds of fat that I lost, but the information I gained.
I've been home a week and am down another 3.2 pounds.
The staff is so competent, caring and experienced!
I loved the beautiful morning hikes in the desert. Great way to start the day. Prepare for long days but very fulfilling.
After a perfectly delicious breakfast there's a variety of exercises from yoga to HITT, tennis, swimming, boxing, cardio, etc. They keep the body moving to burn those calories all day long!
The chef prepared meals were excellent. Portions to what my body needed vs someone else.
They never wanted you to be hungry. If you were, your meal plan was immediately adjusted.
Thank you Eric, Jermaine, Giselle, Greg and Theresa. Each of you helped me and I'm coming back in a few months to stay even longer.
I'm now home and can't stop smiling when I look in the mirror. I still have a long way to go but am leaving with the tools to be successful. You get access to FitClubTV and that's so valuable! Exercises, meal plans, motivation for continued success at home.
The house had a big beautiful pool where I would cool down in the evenings and burn some additional calories. Plenty of seating area to enjoy the evenings.
I will say, you get out of this program what you put in. I gave it my all. I pushed myself and am so proud of the changes, plus I made some life long friends at the house. We all supported one another. That's pretty special.
I highly recommend this program. And I suggest staying for a minimum of several weeks. I didn't want to leave. I am coming back for a whole month soon. I can't wait!
Update: I returned in Sept/Oct 2022 for 4 weeks and lost 20.5 pounds. Gained muscle and got to 23% body fat!
Returned in June 2023 and had more great results in 2 weeks.
I highly recommend Live in Fitness Retreat if you feel stuck and are ready to push yourself. This is not a spa! It is a way to accelerate your results where you don't have to think too much because the incredible food and workouts are planned so it's all done for you. Just show up!

I have been on a journey of body, detox and cleanse and health and fitness. My next step was to find a healthy resort to go spend time to focus more on my health. I discovered Liveinfitness online which is not a health spa resort. It is a fitness resort for people who are serious about, their health and nutrition I've been here. All I have to say about Live in Fitness is that it has completely changed my life for the better. I have always been big my whole life and struggled with weight loss. Losing weight here, gaining it back there, losing more weight and gaining it back again. It has always been a back and forth battle for me. On top of that I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and was told because of my weight I would most likely become insulin dependent for the rest of my life. Also 6 herniated discs in my lower back just from literally holding my stomach up, but my health wasn't what inspired me the most. I have 3 sons all of whom are now getting to the age where we can do things like paintball or different outings like, walking miles around amusement parks, that I wasn't comfortable with or even able to do before. I have only been at the LIF facility for 2 months out of the 6 months I'm here and I have already lost more than 100lbs and gained 35lbs in strictly muscle mass. The lifestyle changes they have instilled in me isn't only going to benefit myself but my children as well. I want to teach them how to be as healthy as they can be as young as they are so that they won't have to go through the same challenges I have had to face growing up which is my biggest motivation to keep me pushing through these high intensity workouts. Yes, it is tough at first especially when you are not used to engaging certain muscles. There were times where I was so tired I just wanted to go home but the staff and instructors here are great at pushing you to your limits so that way tomorrow we can be pushed that much farther. The last two months have made such an incredible difference in my physical and mental health. Because of the meal plan that I have been placed on, I am no longer considered a diabetic, I'm not even considered pre-diabetic anymore and I couldn't be happier. I'd like to make a shout-out to a couple of the staff for keeping me going when I thought I couldn't: Giselle for her kind heart and uplifting spirits no matter what, Lucas for his straight to the point attitude, Jermaine for being so understanding in different situations and my personal motivator to join LIF, Jason for the amazing and new flavor combinations of food to make the meal plan enjoyable, Eric for keeping me informed with everything so I was constantly made aware of my statuses while here at LIF, Lastly David and Spencer for being so in depth in our weight training sessions, and really educating me on exactly what muscles are being engaged throughout our workouts. I can't wait to see the progress I have accomplished, at the end of this transformation. 10 outta 10 would recommend again!

Live in Fitness is exactly what they say it is, and exactly not what they say it isn't. It is a place to get fitter and stronger, with the results being fat/weight loss and greater strength and flexibility. As they say, it is not a spa. It is a fitness retreat, full stop. You will work your backside off, be exhausted every day, eat superb meals (right mix of protein, carbs and fat and the right amount of calories to achieve maximum results, but never hungry) and see results quickly if you apply yourself. 3 weeks in my opinion is the perfect stay. 2 is not quite enough and by the third week, you should have learned enough from their excellent instruction that you can take it home and do it yourself if motivated.

The best part of my stay these last 3 weeks was their team. They are great people, dedicated to the success of the attendees, smart about when to push and when to back off, full of great advice and wisdom about how to take the learnings and practices home (great phrase today on my last day from one of my housemates: you leave LIF, but it never leaves you). David, in particular, was awesome at personal training sessions, pushing me hard the right way. David, Amelie, Lucas, Giselle, Spencer and Brittany did a great job with the various cardio and lifting classes. And Eric, the owner, was excellent in explaining the science behind what they do. Jason, the man behind the excellent food, was simply awesome in planning, prep and presentation.

So, if you want to go to a spa and be pampered, don't go here. But if you want to kick your own butt and get real results, this is the place for you. Thanks to the team, I met my goals for the 3 weeks, and I would go here again. But if I apply what they've taught me, I won't need to!

What a great experience!! I came to this retreat to learn about working out, getting myself moving, and eating right. I really wasn't sure what to expect, but I have been so impressed with all of the teaching, lectures and information I am taking away from my 2 week stay.
Coach David pushed me in my training and made me realize I could do more than I thought I could. Coach Spencer worked with me to develop my workout technique.
I enjoyed many classes including trying boxing, yoga, tennis, and lots of cardio workouts. We also had a fun day with hiking and kayaking.
Jermaine was our wonderful morning motivator and very knowledgeable about the program.
Gisell was a godsend with her stretching sessions. She was able to work on some of my tight muscles and really push the limits of my flexibility.
Chef Jason is amazing! Everything he prepared tasted so good and hard to believe the meals and snacks were lower calorie and fit within my meal program. I am so excited to go home and try some of his recipes!
I would encourage anyone looking to change their lifestyle to come to this retreat. You will learn that a healthy lifestyle can be easily attainable with the right tools. It is not a spa, but it was money well spent for me.

I just completed my second week at Livin fitness. You can call it a boot camp, a retreat, an all inclusive, whatever, but let me tell you. IT IS GREAT!
My first week, I got tired and sore but with the help of the coaches motivating me, I finished the week with a reward of a 12 pound weight loss and a reduction in body fat of 3.8%. I also gained 1 pound of Lean Body Mass. I am more motivated than ever and I felt so much better and more energetic in week 2. I can feel the improvements.
I signed up for 2 weeks and have already extended a 3rd week. I can't wait for my weigh in on Monday morning.
The staff is diverse and fantastic.
The program is life changing and holds you accountable. The workouts are diverse and include a morning Hike in different parks, cardio, pilates, yoga, HIT and fun circuits to work the whole body.
The facilities are fantastic. Nice rooms - jacuzzi - always heated for after that hard day at work.
The food is delicious and portioned based on your goals and percentages. It's not just a bunch of rabbit food.
If you are in rut or want to jump start your life, Livin fitness is the place to go! I will try to update with my week 2 results on Monday.

I'm writing this review in hopes to inspire healthy change for anyone reading this. Like many of us, I put my work before myself for many years. I reached a point where I felt burned-out and unhealthy. So I decided to make a change and finally put myself first. When I signed up for Live in fit my goal was to create a healthy habit and hopefully lose 4 - 5 lbs in a week. What I got in return was so much more than I expected. My first day of orientation Jermaine & Gisell walk me through the program and weighed me in at 268 lbs. I was excited that I took the first step towards a healthy change. My favorite part of the program where the morning hikes, because it gave me an opportunity to reflect on why I was here. After every workout I was starving but it was so nice to have a chef prepare fresh healthy meals that was catered towards my fit goals. Every day during lunch time, I would learn new healthy tips from Eric on small changes that I can take home with me. What I really enjoyed about the program was the diversity of the daily workouts from Swimming, Basketball, Flag Football, Cycling, Yoga, and the one on one person training time with Brian and head trainer Lucas. By the end of the week I was sad to leave the program. The morning hikes, freshly cooked meals, and a team of trainers there for you every step of the way will all be missed. For my final weigh-in I lost 15 lbs in 1 week. More than I anticipated especially being in my mid 40's. If I had to do it again the only change I would make is to be a part of the program for 2 weeks vs. 1. I hope that my journey inspires a healthy change in your life.

Well from my first conversation I spoke with Jermaine and he answered all of my questions. We had many conversations before I made the decision to try live in fitness (he even called me back even though he was on vacation). So instantly I felt like I had a friend upon my arrival. I was impressed when I met Eric his enthusiasm,
positivity and excitement are contagious. The coaches are amazing and push you to do your best! Lucas has a great sense of humor and made the workout challenges fun. David coached me in lifting and always say “I know you have one more in ya” whenI wanted to give up. I did stretch therapy with Brian it was terrific I felt so much better afterwards. Brian is also a terrific human and during our drive to a hike he shared his fascinating life. Nicholle taught us yoga and Pilates she was great and if I couldn’t do something she offered a modification. I am so happy I chose LIF!!! From the housing to the workout facility to the coaches to the MEALS to the hikes to the scheduling to the testing to the wide range of experiences were Aces!!!!! They pushed me and I didn't think I could give more and I powered through double. They actually care very much, they invest themselves!

I am so thankful to this place for helping me to get healthy during this crazy pandemic. I mean they upped and moved from Cali to AZ so that they could actually open their doors and help people, and they are doing a heck of a job of it. The program is solid. They showed me how many calories I need to burn each day because of the testing they do, and I hit those targets each day. The food is amazing, the workouts are actually fun as the more advanced group does play sports like flag football, tennis, basketball, and we all do awesome hikes every single day too. I do have to do the classes that I don't like as much like yoga and flexibility and mobility bootcamp, but I know my body needs these too so I went with it, and my body functions so much better now. If you aren't in the more advanced group, don't worry, they cater workouts to all levels, and have different workouts for those groups. I feel like a million bucks now!

What makes this so different than anything I have done in the past, is that he uses the science with the testing that they do, and customizes my meals and the training so that I get the best results, and I always do. I caution everyone about this business. I can't comment on the facility but I can talk about their paperwork. BE CAREFUL! The paperwork I received, and what I was told and what is on the website did not match. This was in October 2020. Now the website has been changed. My credit card was charged immediately even though the paperwork says "written clearance from Client's physician must be obtained , prior to Client's enrollment in the Program". It has been about a month and still no refund and no communication. Check out the complaints on the BBB site, and Yelp before signing up.
