Don’t ever give this place your credit card at the end of your contract they tell you they’re not gonna bill you and they continually do they never return or answer their calls I am out of town till Friday
Monday I am filing a complaint with the Attorney General’s office anybody that wants to join me is welcome as they won’t even produce their statutory agent

After five years as both a loyal member and former employee of Mountainside Fitness, I experienced sexual harassment, harassment, and retaliation at the Ahwatukee location on June 26, 2025. When I attempted to report it, management forced me to speak in front of the person I reported, refused to investigate my claims, and canceled my membership instead. This is not a safe space for women—especially Black women—and it’s clear that member safety and accountability are not priorities here. I do not recommend Mountainside Fitness to anyone seeking respect or protection. I went to mountain side for safety and chill workout environment. They have failed me as a customer and a women! I have asked for an investigation and they have refused to respond any further. I asked for

Extremely disappointed with Mountainside Fitness. We clearly requested to cancel our membership due to a disability that prevented further use — we only attended twice — yet they continued to charge us for an entire year. Despite contacting them and believing the account was closed, the cancellation was never processed, and we were billed month after month. There was no accountability or resolution offered, even after explaining the situation. It feels like they took advantage of our circumstances, which is unacceptable. Make sure to get everything in writing and monitor your bank statements if you try to cancel — this was an expensive and frustrating lesson for us.

I just had to comment on how amazing the front desk staff is with their clients. Aidan always greets me and takes the time to chat. He is very friendly and keeps the club looking spotless. I cancelled my membership at the desk about a year ago and haven’t stepped foot in the club since. Despite that, Mountainside Fitness kept billing me every month. I called today to sort it out and was passed around to at least four different people before finally speaking to the GM at the Executive Club.

He told me there was no record of my cancellation. When I pointed out that it was clearly a clerical error on their side, he basically said it didn’t matter and they wouldn’t be refunding me for the last 12 months. I said, “So even though there was an obvious clerical error on your guy’s behalf, it’s still my fault and you won’t issue a refund?” His exact response was, "uh, yes that's correct."

I asked for an email so I could contact leadership or accounting, but was told, “we don’t have emails for this type of thing,” and was only given a phone number.

The whole experience made me wonder if this is part of their business model — make cancellations confusing, lose the paperwork, and leave customers stuck paying unless they can prove otherwise.

If you’re thinking about joining Mountainside, make sure you get a hard copy of any cancellation forms and take photos. Otherwise, it’s just your word against theirs.

Smaller location, but it got the job done. I was around the area and dropped in to check it out to see if I wanted to upgrade.

The staff were friendly, the club was clean, and it wasn’t crazy crowded when I went.

I didn’t see a sauna or steam room, which is a deal breaker for me. Wasn’t a huge fan of the parking.

I've been a member since the Desert Ridge location opened. I have always liked this gym but my workouts have been getting a bit boring. Now that I am boxing with trainer Demy, I feel that I am getting better workouts than I have in years and having fun doing it. If you are not including boxing in your program, you should be.

This gym is a no brainer decision to join. The facilities are great and always clean, but this gym (specifically this location) is more than a place to workout. The management has done a phenomenal job fostering an atmosphere of community and that is a value you will not find at any other gym in the state. I love it! It is built on a dream like it says. From the Mamiko up the escalator and you get to the top you’re greeted at the desk by some super friendly people probably around their 20s to take your name and all your information and welcome you to the gym. I will be moving here permanently this year and I’m looking for a gym . They gave me a 5 day pass to try it and I love it! Club makes it very hard to cancel membership. With todays technology they still require you to go into the club to cancel. Then when I went in as directed they said only certain people at certain times can cancel my membership. I later called and spoke to Kalie and she had no cares that I did what they requested still with no results. Would not give upper managements contact information either. Said they are "very easy" to work with but gave no easy solutions. Check cancelation policies before signing up, there are other clubs that are much easier to work with.

Everything was mediocre until My year membership ran out. Then renewed automatically and charged me a higher monthly rate. When I called I got an excuse that they updated their database to a new program - not their fault. Then I got told I can't send a letter to cancel, I have to send a certified letter because the building where the letter is going has so many suites and it will probably get lost. If I send a regular letter they will send it back. Really? We live in the 21st century. Email no good? Talking on the phone? Fax? Online? So archaic. Can't believe the hoops you have to jump through.

Mountainside Fitness locations are too notch to begin with and this location holds up to those standards without a doubt.

The staff are highly knowledgeable, friendly, and committed to excellent service.

If you're wanting to push your limits and expand your personal practice, look no further because the personal trainers are superb.

One last note is that this location has a capped member limit. So you always feel like you're in a private gym setting because it's never crowded!

This location is very close to where I work and I absolutely love it! Yes it's small, but that's why there are several other locations close by that you can use for group fitness. The best is getting off work and not having too many people crowded in the gym, it's awesome! They have pretty much everything you would need and space on the balcony to use as well.

Nice facility - has all the equipment I use at other clubs, great showers. Its quiet in the morning, so I can get the machines I want without waiting - which is a huge plus since I am on a tight schedule for work. Friendly staff, too!

I wanted to add some feedback since things have grown. While I still like the club, there are some definite issues in the Women's locker room with the addition of new members. There is only a 2 person area in which to dry hair, makeup, etc. This is ridiculously small, and causes backups in the morning, since there are typically 4-6 women taking showers from 6:45 - 7:15. I am not sure what can be done but if more members keep getting added, it is going to be a source of much frustration for those of use who have been there since the beginning.

And those bath towels do not absorb much water.

My husband and I are very happy about our decision to join Mountainside Fitness Executive Club. The staff is very friendly and the facility is beautiful, clean and conveniently located. Parking is never a problem in the Waterfront garage and the bike rack directly in front of the facility gives us an option to ride our bikes there. While there are no group classes at this location we have access to classes at other locations and I have found the yoga classes at the Scottsdale Pavillions to be excellent!
