Came here from EOS and was looking for a gym similar to TG in San Diego and happy to have found it. I love the separate buildings and it’s never too crowded for the times that I go. This is a great gym if you're really into fitness, value your health, or need a place that is more of a private gym experience. They have a plethora of machines for each body group as well as the unique machines from Atlantis to Hammer Strength. The great part is that they are always adding new pieces. The lighting is great here and the atmosphere is great for you to lock in. I am more of a quiet gym goer, kind of keeping to myself, but the community here is great. They even have a dedicated leg room building! Love this gym

I am a former member of this gym, and it was the first real gym i went to when I moved to Tempe. As a massive bodybuilding enthusiast, I loved this gym for its environment and awesome community. The posing room to this day is still where I have gotten my toughest pics at. I also met Max Taylor here and a bunch of other really great people, so I am grateful for my time with Muscle.

By far the best gym I’ve ever been to! Been coming here for over a year and this place is home. The owner is always looking to upgrade equipment and spoil us members. I’ve been going to muscle factory gym for over 3 years now, and I have had nothing but great experiences here, the gym culture and management here are exceptional and I would never consider switching gyms. Random people are leaving one star reviews because some bum doesn’t follow the rules and gets kicked out for it LMFAO. You sign a waiver where rules are clearly stated and the rules are very easy to follow too nothing extreme or major. He thinks bcuz he has 13k followers on IG he can do whatever he wants and not follow the rules get real like seriously pay no mind to the one star reviews coming from his 13k acolytes from Instagram. LMAO muscle is the best private gym in the valley. 😂🙏🤍

I’ve been a member here since 2020 and have been to gyms all over the Valley - Muscle Factory is easily one of the best you can find Valley-wide. Has a whole separate building for legs which is filled with all the right high-quality pieces - Roger’s, Arsenal, Atlantis, as well as a very complete glute selection. The main gym also provides plenty of options and i really can’t think of anything it’s lacking.

It’s always nice to see a business owner present during the day to day operations, and Lance is always bringing in new pieces or seeing what he can do to keep giving back to the members. His enthusiasm and love for the place is always appreciated! Rules that are fair as well as enforced fairly, and easy to follow if you’re there for the right reasons - to train hard and get better! I’ve been a member at Muscle Factory in Tempe since October 2020 and from day one it has felt like a second home. Lance has always been solid and genuine, running this gym with respect and integrity for the people who put in the work here.

i feel lucky to live close to this gym. it has lots of variety of good quality equipment, a whole building dedicated to legs, 24-hour access for members, and a good atmosphere. there are certain peak times when there’s a lot of people in the gym at once but it’s equipped enough to handle it so it doesn’t become an interference to getting a good workout in. if you’re in tempe and looking for a gym membership, this place should be on your radar.

The only gym I’ve been to that improves over time (improving off of an already great foundation). Friendly and Knowledgeable staff. Ego gets checked at the door. There’s something here for everyone from a novice lifter to professional lifters and bodybuilders. All at the cost of a commercial franchise gym. The best in the East Valley by far.

Highly recommend checking out the gym. Stopped in for a day pass, owner was really nice. Gym has a lot of good pieces that you won’t find anywhere but a serious gym. I have been coming to muscle factory for a few months now I love this gym and I have never experienced a gym with 24/7 access now that I have I never want to go back to a gym with limited hours. This gym has the most high quality equipment I have ever come across. As someone who has gone to several different gyms, I can’t remember the last gym I was excited about using the machines and equipment besides Muscle Factory. I had the pleasure of speaking to the owner and he is very passionate and selective about what he places in his gym and I really admire that, and the fact that he is around to be a part of the community. Just signed up… I have been looking for an affordable gym that has just pure good equipment for a long time. I was a heavy lifter for years but I have been out of the lifting game for around a year due to some torn ligaments in my knees and getting back in made me super nervous, especially with how in shape so many people are here, but I haven’t once felt “judged” or looked at being here. I also feel like if I *really* needed help, the people here would gladly guide me. The gym is huge and I appreciate the members only rule… it keeps it less busy and only people who want to be there are there (i.e. no 10 high school boys and their 10 friends taking up space)
Since I’m new… I’m still learning how to navigate the space, where equipment I need is, and how to use some of the new stuff I’ve never seen before… but if you’re thinking about it, do it!

STILL THE BEST GYM IN AZ, EASILY!! Great community with even better equipment. I first moved to AZ and lived in Tempe, this is the first body building gym I came across when I got here, Unfortunately I ended up moving too far away from it 2 years ago, but I have their instagram page and constantly see all the new improvements, (INCLUDING THE NEW LEG ROOM) and I think about it all the time and refer people from work constantly - I recently acquired a new Job at Chapman Dodge in Scottsdale however, and it’s Only 10 minutes away from my job now, so I’m PUMPED because I finally get to make the switch back!!

Super awesome gym with a friendly vibe. Went here when working with a personal trainer a while back. Has a really neat system where you get access inside through your phone 24/7. The equipment selection is outstanding. Has everything you could ever need. Everyone one there has always been very respectful and the place is always clean. They have a variety of general and specialized equipment that sets them apart from a standard gym. 24/7 access with a phone app to scan in. Atmosphere is special, has a bodybuilding gym look but with workers and members that are inclusive to anyone who comes in. No contracts or cancellation fees either. I had to cancel my membership earlier this year due to an injury and when I signed back up they waived my startup fee and welcomed me back in.

Only con is that they have limited cardio equipment but even then for the space they are working with it is utilized well.

Literally any piece of lifting equipment you can think of, they have. It was neat getting to check out stuff that I normally don’t have access to at home.

Cardio equipment is slightly limited, which was surprising, but what they do have is very high quality!

This gym is AMAZING. I started my fitness journey here for the last year I was finishing my degree at ASU. As long as you stray away from the normal 4-8pm busy hours this place is the BEST. You’re surrounded by the best and can always ask anyone for a spot. Everyone is super chill. This place has really set a standard for every other gym as I have moved after graduation and have had to find another gym. It is definitely the best gym that I have ever been to. They have a variety of quality equipment compared to other gyms that I know of. The restrooms and lockers were spacious. The whole vibe and atmosphere in the gym were something I personally liked. I also liked the whole orange and white theme! Lance and his staff were amazing at maintaining the facility. Good gym. Good equipment that's been maintained, the staff are very friendly and helpful, and they clean the locker rooms.

The place is bigger than it looks from the outside (there's 3 sections, the front area with the astro tuff, the main weights and presses with the back section for flys and full body machines).

I have noticed this place caters to two groups:

1. People who are working with personal trainers (I am one that's working with a PT)

2. or it's college kids

Makes sense given the proximity and how the place is kept well and feels more 'personable' than standard box gyms.

Note, this gym is primarily for weight training as there's no cardio equipment.

Great gym with a good variety of quality equipment including bumper plates, lifting platforms, small turf area, weight machines, kettlebells, boxes for jumps, and large dumbbell range. Key fob access makes it easy to work out on your own schedule and the equipment is much more robust and varied than your normal key-fob access gym. Highly recommended if you travel or work weird hours and still want to make gains.

Muscle Factory is an amazing gym if you're into lifting weights. They have tons of niche equipment you wouldn't find in commercial gyms. Tsunami bars, safety squat bars, reverse hyper machine, and so much more, it's insane.

At time of writing this review there are 2 flat bench presses, 1 incline, 4 squat racks, 5 deadlift/oly platforms, 2 smith machines, dumbbells up to 150lbs, tons of plated loaded and pin select machines.

There's only 10 or so cardio machines, but I've never seen them all taken at the same time. It's definitely not a focus of the gym.

However, with all this amazing equipment comes a draw back of crowds and lots of influencers. It's pretty common to have to navigate around tripods and see people vlogging. I personally don't mind this too much, but I think it should be known before signing up. Additionally, these crowds mean you'll probably have to wait to get one of the 2 bench presses.

Only other draw back I can think of is lots of lifters are bad at returning plates to trees so you'll probably have to hunt some down throughout your workout.

All in all I can tell the owners are passionate about making the lifting experience as best as possible. I think with time a lot of the cons of the gym will get figured out.

I’ve been training here for 3 weeks after jumping from a big corporate gym. And I have to say this place is LEGIT. Don’t let a 1 star review sway your opinion. I love this gym. New machines and benches to do any kind of exercise you want. Crazy machines like a pendulum squat, reverse hyper insane chest machines. Trx bands….you name it this place has it or a very good substitution. 24 hour gym access for members is a huge plus too. Only thing I’d say is that the place gets busy when I’m there but it is the gym and it is right on university next to the college. But that doesn’t bother me. This gym is well worth the price of its monthly fee and I’m glad to workout here. Especially because you’ll see what your money goes towards. And the coolest thing here is the old school metal dumbbells they got. It makes me feel like Arnold even though they’re just 35s.

I’ve been a member for a little over a month, overall great gym. One problem is there isn’t enough weights for the bench, squat racks, etc. I often have to walk around to find plates to use. If this was fixed then I would say 5 stars.

Good equipment however there are people with tripods everywhere recording so it gets in your way. Also there are certain trainers walking around eating meal preps and eating right next to you while you are trying to train. Annoying to say the least

Equipment is good (except you’ll always be waiting for a machine and the bathrooms are not taken care of) but doesn’t make up for the poor management. Owner and manager of this gym are taking sides in a breakup that happened years ago. Understandable to not want a confrontation at your place of business but extremely unprofessional to comment on his bad review accusing him of domestic abuse (which is untrue and no claims to backup this extreme allegation) but continued to tell him that he needed to seek counseling. All of this was done on a public forum. This is all brought on by what one person is saying of the other. No claims, no proof and no actual knowledge of the other persons character. Extremely disappointing.

Its great the gym is 24/7 so I can go anytime I want. I really like this gym and all the various interesting equipment it has that wasn't at my previous gym(Lifetime Fitness) like the Pendulum Squat Machine, Buffalo Barbell, Safety Squat Bar and Pit Shark Squat Machine. The owner also listens to customers and is constantly improving the gym. I asked for more exercise bands as the old ones were worn out so they ordered more. The atmosphere is much better than a normal gym and its full of strong impressive people that motivate you to do better. Friendly atmosphere.

Rarely would I write a review about a gym however; this gym is by far one of the best, EVER. Not only is the facility open at times that you need it the most but the customer service is what sets this gym apart. Never have I worked with such courteous people at a business. They regularly go above and beyond for any of their clients and even their families. That is rarity but even more so during these times where everyone seems to only care about the almighty dollar. You're not going to find a better gym around so, if you aren't already a member, you should be. And no, I am in no way affiliated with anyone who owns or runs this gym ... it's just THAT good.

This has been my "home gym" for the past three weeks and I have to say they've been a terrific gym so far! They go above and beyond in terms of equipment and it's a great community of people. Have to give a shout out to this great gym. Was on a business trip and had an afternoon to kill so I checked out this place near my hotel. Great equipment that isn't crowded. Great gym. I was a little disappointed that we paid over $160 for two people for only 30 days. We had just gotten to the area and wanted to check it out. We unfortunately had extenuating circumstances and had to leave and go home to Washington after only using the passes twice When I called to ask about it, I was told if we ever came back to town to tell them and they would give us a deal. I was hoping we would have been given a refund since a day pass is only $20. Very expensive.

This is such a great locally owned gym. I picked this place because I think it is important to support small businesses. There are no high pressure sales, long contract commitments, or towel fees that you find at the corporate gyms.

I’ve been looking everywhere for a more old school gym feel and my friend Terry recommended me to check out Muscle Factory!

Let’s just say this gym more than meets my standards as a gym! I’m a competitive bodybuilder and this gym has a lot of equipment that the big franchise gyms doesn’t have that target all the different muscles in different ways.

The gym is always clean, people are nice “more of a family gym” and the 24 hour check in system is awesome!! I would definitely recommend this gym even if you are a beginner or pro!

Went to this gym for the first time a couple of days ago, and I loved it! They have all of the equipment I want, and everyone I've met or talked to has been very friendly. As a trainer and long-time gym goer, I can confidently say that this is my favorite gym in Arizona.
