The greens were not in good shape. They were slow, bumpy, and patchy. Also the holes had not been changed in a while as you could see the grass growing in the side of them. Was disappointed and not up to par with most other courses I have played in the Phoenix area.

Terrible management of tee times for the three courses. When a twosome plays fast on the front nine you get punished and have to wait for tee times on the back. You lose rhythm and flow.

Ourse is in bad shape for the money. Only nice thing is available tee times. Prices are high for the condition of course. Greens have a disease. West course greens are soft and ball sticks. we had 3 foursomes March 6. Although the course is more expensive than I'm use to paying I enjoyed the layout. On the 6th the greens were fine and true and fast. The wind was blowing 15-25 that day which made the course play more difficult than it is. A fun track and after the round drinks on the patio was nice. Each staff member we dealt with was nice and professional.

Soooo Much Less Than it Once Was...

Sadly this course has decreased in value and quality over the last few years. I have come out every year with a group of guys for over 15 years and one thing we could always count on was the greens at Palm Valley and at least having a great short game experience. Sadly that day is over... with green fees over $140 at times it no longer represents a good value and this year wasn't even decent. They have obviously lost their greens and chose to paint the sand and dead grass left to look like green growth. Putting is a farce and chiping or holding the green from any distance is laughable due to the lack of actual grass on the greens.

The fairways are just ok and the prices for anything from the bar and restaurant area are 40% more than the country club and "finer" courses we played.

The course used to have a name for its quiet quality and value but now the name is Don't Bother... we will have to look for a replacement for next year.

Im very satisfied with the course but not the restaurant side. I eat there quite often. There is an individual who cooks or works in the kitchen that is very loud and always yelling at other people. Its very unprofessional and i hear him in the dining area. Its like he is drunk or on drugs. Starting to think about not going there anymore.

We played the North/South courses and it was a decent experience. The front desk is so incredibly nice and it seems like such a great place but the course conditions were incredibly underwhelming. Greens were not in the best conditions and didn’t seem to roll true by any means. The amount of geese poop on the end of the North Course and on South #1 made it impossible to even play without feeling disgusted by what we were surrounded by. The layout is great, wish there were GPS carts due to some hole layouts being difficult to know which direction was the best route to take. There were many dead spots and an excess amount of dirt. I feel like if there was more money invested on maintenance and small details to make the course more presentable, it could be such a staple of a golf course.

I tried buying a gift card for my friends birthday and it's extremely difficult. The links on the website don't work. I called to let them know and find out how else I could get one. They told me they knew and that if I wanted one I'd need to come in. I let them know I live an hour away and that I'd think about it. Since it's for my friend's birthday I went ahead and made the drive. When I got there this little guy with glasses behind behind the counter said he'd help me. I explained that I wanted a gift card for one round of golf for my friends birthday this weekend. He then proceeded to quote me rates for spring time, two rounds of golf and everything else than I asked for. I reminded him it was for this season, as it's my friends birthday and he wants to go now. He then proceeded to ask about his tee time, so I reminded him again that it was my friend's birthday this weekend and that he didn't have one yet, so he gave me a quote for two rounds again. I asked what it was for one round and he told me he needed to know the tee time but one round could be $70 or $97. I asked if it was okay to get a gift card for $100, and he said that was fine. However, I changed my mind because the little man was being so difficult for such an easy question.

We played south and west today. No cart girl. They need to at least a couple ball cleaning stations, their holes don’t post yardage from each tee box.South course was in fairly good condition BUT THE SOUTH was in utter disarray. Fairway was dead. Dried up mud tracks near the greens. Greens had complete dead spots. Idk if they’re reseeding or what but they didn’t say anything. Great golf course, challenging yet fun. Hosted a college tournament the day after we played so the grounds crew may have been preparing for that, but overall a great experience. Nice facilities and staff. Patio is a nice touch to sit and have a beverage after you are done playing or just want to come and relax. Food is very good and offer a variety of choices. With so many courses in the area, Palm Valley is a course that you will want to play several times. I will definitely be back.

Palm Valley is a golf course closer to the Goodyear area on the outskirts west of Phoenix. It's a mid-range price course with 3 sets of 9nhole courses that you combine to play any you want. Their staff is great, super friendly including the marshals and clubhouse employees. The fairways and greens were in great condition as of early February and later in the day, prices go down by more than half. Overall a solid course to play and most of the time you'll want to make a reservation for a tee time at least 2 weeks before.

As its name, this is a course intelligently blend in the palm 🌴 trees into the course design, in the way it symbolizes the state of Arizona, also the paradise of playing golf 365 days a year.

The condition is well maintained, particularly the fairways are as smooth as carpets.

I play golf at least two times a week sometimes three, I am a 7 handicap and enjoy the game very much, no matter how bad i play. If you are looking for a hidden gem that is a little bit of a drive from Phoenix give Palm Valley Golf club a try. The course is made up of three 9 hole tracks that all have unique characteristics. The course is always in great shape, the pace of play is excellent and the greens roll true and are always cut and well kept. But on top of the course attributes and the great superintendent that cares for this place, the staff there is second to none. We play there almost every weekend and we are one of the first ones out and no matter what is happening you can count on a friendly smile, some good information on the course conditions that day, ( frost delay, cart path only after the reseed, an area to avoid if there is course damage from falling trees, storms etc. All given with a friendly smile and welcoming attitude. The course rate is significantly less than courses of equal condition and playability making it a great value. The whole staff from the cart girls to Shannon in the restaurant treat you like you were at a private country club. I hope that this review will not get too many of you people going out there so I can't get a good tee time , ha, but i had to sing the praises of what a top notch public Golf club should be and so many times fall short even when you are paying twice to three times as much in Scottsdale. Keep it up Palm Valley !!

Always in mediocre shape, especially around the greens and in the concrete bunkers. Yet they are always amongst the most expensive courses in the area.

I recently played there and left my rangefinder on the cart. I called when I noticed I didn’t have it a week later. After being grilled by the person on the phone they said they had it. I had to go out of town for work unexpectedly and had my buddy go to grab it for me. Now somehow, they do not have it. Pretty sketchy.

Came to Arizona for a golf vacation. We have never played this course previously. Overall the course was nice. Our issue was the course ranger rushing us along. Not only were we rushed but we were followed by the ranger the last 5 holes. It felt as if we were being discriminated for our age and gender. We have been playing golf for many years and move at a pace that has never been an issue before. We play golf to relax and have fun and this took away from what could have been an enjoyable experience. Safe to say we will not be returning to this course.

An awesome course and well maintained. We had a great round this morning. I’ve been playing there for around 15 years.
We had lunch at the club house and a beer. We wanted to play again this afternoon. The course was pretty much wide open. Only a few golfers here and there. We asked the young gentleman at the front desk if we could get a rate for a replay. He said it will be the full rate. We asked why there isn’t a replay rate when the course is almost wide open? He said it is what it is??!! What?? I ran a business for over 30 years. If I could make $75-$100 dollars or nothing. Well I think you understand. Hopefully the general manager will see this and tell the employees to treat customers a little nicer. Maybe even caring. Or have a policy of giving the staff some Leeway when the situation calls for it. Anyway we went home, made a drink and jumped in the pool. It’s all good.

Great conditions, wide open, and nice wall to wall overseeding. Mostly worth it. However they fail on creature comforts. No drinking water on the course and the bathrooms were locked on the west course. We live in a desert so this is a no-go in the warmer months. Bring your own water! Also, no ball washers. Allowing any joe blow golfer to golf at your courses that line houses and streets is irresponsible of the golf course. If you know your a bad golfer have some respect and don’t golf near houses or streets. Nothing but greed if you ask me.

To your response, I spoke to a manager yesterday who told me there are no regulations to who you allow to golf at your courses. Regardless of how good or bad of a golfer they are. Anyone who wants to pay can golf and damage people property or children for that matter. It’s a shame golf clubs allow someone to break your window or hit and kill your kid with no responsibility to the golfer or golf club who allows them to golf at their courses. Money money money is all you worry about. Screw everyone else.

Wedding . Venue and the grounds are beautiful. Set up for outdoor ceremony was nice , however the white chairs left white "chalky" marks on our clothes but easy to brush off. Access to the bathrooms , out side was easy . Service very attentive with cleaning up , walking around with hord d'oeuvres. Inside for the dinner and dancing very nice, comfortable . However, doors to the outside locked when I went to the bathroom ,( that were outside ) and I could only see the introduction of the wedding party , until someone came to let me in. Don't know if they catered it or the caterers were contracted but food was good, lots of salads , chicken was tender/moist, only complaint was the prime rib was tough . A beautiful wedding venue ! I have been a summer card holder for the summer of 2021. As of Monday, 9/25/21 I earned enough points to play 9 holes free. I went to the course on 9/30/21 (the last day the card was valid) to play the free 9 holes and was informed that no, I need more points. They raised the price for the last day the card was valid and my free 9 holes was not valid for the last day. That is not fair or correct. The good news, I join a country club where the golfer is important, not just a money faucet.

Definitely not worth the price. Tee times ran 1:30 behind due to frost. Bare spots on a few fairways. We finally saw the beverage cart at hole 7 only to find out they do not accept credit cards. Small disappointments all around made it hard to enjoy overall. Would never pay that much again for this place. Lesson learned.
