I attended this gym for the first three trial classes and had a great experience! This was my very first time training MMA and the people, owner, and coaches were all extremely friendly and welcoming. My son had his first training class last night and we fell in love with this place!! The coaches are wonderful. He started making friends quickly.. It gives off such a great sense of community which is exactly what we were looking for! Peers helping peers was absolutely beautiful to witness. I wish It gave the option to give this place 10 stars as it definitely DESERVES 10+++. Son got a GREAT workout. I was VERY happy with how welcoming it felt and that he didn't leave feeling discouraged (as he has never taken a martial art before). They made him feel very welcome here. Amazing First Experience – Highly Recommend!

This was my first time trying out a boxing gym, and I’m absolutely loving it! Performance AZ Boxing Gym has such a great vibe, and the coach is super cool, supportive, and really knows how to make you feel comfortable even if you’re just starting out.

The workouts are intense but fun, and I already feel more confident and energized. One of the best parts they offer a discount for ASU students, which makes it even better!

I am very out of shape but beginning boxing here is one of the best things I have done for myself in many years. The students and coaches have all been welcoming and I've never experienced any judgement for moving at my own pace. This gym is amazing, and if I had a few extra bucks I'd sign-up to join my kids. I'm not a boxer, so would have to rely on the experience of the coaches at the gym - BUT, I am a father to three sons and have been to more sports programs in the valley than I care to count. With that experience, I have to say that Protege has been an unbelievable experience so far. We're only a week in, but the coaches have been amazing with my two sons, who are still learning. You also don't have to be an aspiring boxer (my boys just wanted to get in shape) to get value out of this gym. This is a great gym, and it feels like a friendly family. My boys are excited to participate for another couple of months and get back in shape. If anyone is looking for more personal fitness, this is an amazing place to find it.

Uhaul Dealer - The Uhaul representative at this location has the BEST customer service, there was an issue with the 24/7 pick-up through the app and he was so helpful. He got us checked out and was super fast. Very knowledgeable, willingness to assist with an issue, professional - ALL AROUND 5 STARS! Would recommend and reuse this dealer every time.
The trucks are parked behind the shopping center - if you aren't familiar with renting from a Uhaul Dealer (a separate entity that also provides Uhaul rentals) this is fairly common. I called ahead to verify and he gave me very clear instructions 🙂 I could not express more how pleased I was with this rep and the service he provided.

I would not recommend this gym to anyone. During one training session, I hurt my ankle because the mats were not properly aligned properly, causing their foot to get caught and resulting in a sprained ankle.

To make matters worse, the owner tried to persuade me to work there, offering to pay me in cash, which felt very unprofessional and suspicious. Overall, I cannot recommend this gym to anyone looking for a decent place to train. It's better to find a more reputable and well-maintained facility.

I've been coming to Protégé for the past three months, and I've been attending the kickboxing class for the past month. Unfortunately, my experience has not been good Every time I attend the class, the bags used for training are not set up. This makes it feel like a complete waste of money since I'm not able to use the entire gym as intended.

The instructors are very nice, but they do not treat the staff properly. In addition, the mats are not cleaned frequently and it is very dusty, which is concerning for hygiene. It's unbearably hot because the owner refuses to turn on the air conditioning. To make matters worse, there is no water fountain available, and the vending machine has been broken for quite some time. Overall, I am very disappointed with the conditions at Protégé and would not recommend it to others.

New gym home. Reasonable and approachable ownership. Get your work on!
This gym is the fresh start I sorely needed due to past gym experiences. The coaches will actually TAKE THE TIME to walk you through on technique. As any gym worth their salt should do that for you.
They offer training for children as well. And as a dad of an 8 year old- I’m sure you can tell the importance of that!
The gym is also incredibly close from where I live and easy to find as it is quite close to the 101 freeway.
Please feel free to give the gym an honest try. Believe me- part of me was NOT looking forward to start. Starting is the hardest thing. Once you start- keep consistent. It’ll be the best decision you’ve made for yourself and those you care about.

The general manager at this gym is very unprofessional. My fiancé and I both felt uncomfortable . Our son went to 3 classes and all 3 the Times were unprofessional. We pulled our son from the program. We asked for some of our money back and he lied saying it will be back in my account that same day. We never received it. I do not recommend this gym to anyone.

Going to a fighting gym can be incredibly nerve wracking your first time! Luckily the staff and students create an amazing environment that has something for everyone.

From excellent kids boxing by coach Chosen to high level grappling from coach Mario. I have grown so much as an athlete from my time training here.

The team atmosphere is very real. We support our members when they compete and regularly get together inside and outside the gym.

I went in for cryotherapy and it was a fantastic experience that really improved my day. The staff is professional and taking all the precautions during the current pandemic. I was a little nervous to get into the chamber but the staff provided reassurance and went above-beyond in making me feel comfortable.
