The gym seems to be older than the other Planet Fitness locations. One of the bathroom stalls was broken and the door could not be closed. You can see a dirt caked up in the stall. The equipment is older; no timer or counter and the weights appear to be different on the Smith machines than other places. However, the equipment is in better condition than other places.

Equipment is clean and everything works, the staff is incredibly friendly and the hours I want to go they're never seems to be a large crowd, which is everything I could ask for in a gym especially for this price.

Edit: changing my 5 star review due to weeks of air conditioning problems....in July. This is gross, uncomfortable, and a bit unsafe. I feel sorry for the wonderful staff who have to work in such conditions. No excuses. This should have been handled far better.

Great place to get a workout. The equipment is clean and well maintained. Nobody bugs you or judges you. You can go in there and do your thing. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. If your budget allows it, upgrade to the Black Card because you get to use the massage and relaxation area, you can bring a friend unlimited times, you get to go to any PF location, and you also get discounts and perks with other businesses.

I would give them a 5 star rating if not for PF taking the 24/7 clubs away, but it is what it is. With that said, it is still one of the best ran, equipped, and fairly priced national gym chains out there. I like the obvious positive culture of the PF location i most frequent. It's obvious that the leadership sets the tone and that the staff have all bought into and contribute to the positive vibe/culture. I am greeted by name by each of them... Manager Stan, and team members Sebastian, Juan, Cat, Nico, Rob, Alexi, Deondra, Drew (the trainer), Nik and Angie. Their willingness to be personal and professional - really set's a tone for how I walk in and I feel contributes to my overall fitness. Physical fitness is connected to mental and emotional fitness. And as you elevate one, it impacts and elevates the others. Every gym might rightfully claim they help with the physical fitness and they do. But if the culture of the gym also helps to nurture and support the emotional and mental aspects of their guests... that, I believe, accelerates and elevates the whole persons well being. I love this team, I love Planet Fitness. :)

Sebastian was fantastic today! I haven’t been to this location before and am coming back after a knee replacement. I was a little nervous, but he was wonderful! He made sure I knew where the various machines/equipment were etc. The facility had great AC and was very clean. After my workout I asked if he could show me the room with the Hydrabed, relaxation things. I had never used those at my other location. He took me in to the area and explained the benefits/differences of the machines and helped me get set up! This will for sure be my gym of choice when I’m in the PHX area! Many thanks!!!

I'm on a quest to try as many PF locations as I can, and I can safely say that this location is my least favorite PF location in the valley. Like, I'd go out of my way to NOT go here, which is sad because it's small and I generally prefer smaller locations (forces the layouts so make sense!). It's uncomfortably warm and no real air circulation happening. The layout is actually really weird and I actually felt pretty uncomfortable here. Way too many people (crowd meter showed 1 bar) and mirrors so these sweaty dudes just stare at you really no matter where you are. The bathrooms are pretty hidden and tucked closely to a bank of cardio machines so you KNOW they know how long you've been in there and they're questioning it! haha The rest of the machines aren't really grouped together in a way that makes sense to me. Again, I felt pretty stared at so maybe I was just preoccupied with getting out of there so I didn't take the time to think about it. All in all, it's a no from me. Also AZ Ave/202 is another no. Just no. Broken machines, duct tape, peeling seating surfaces...

This is my home gym, and closest to my house, but I go to the one at power/Ray because this location doesn't have the big fans over ANY of the cardio equipment, just the weights side. It's hot as heck outside, I don't need to sweat that much when I use the treadmill or elliptical. Power/Ray has big fans over EVERYTHING!

Lmk if you install fans over the cardio and I'll come back, because I like the layout there better. But my desire to avoid heatstroke wins.

Sure, PF doesn't have all the bells and whistles (i.e. sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi, swimming pool, basketball court, etc.) like some of these others gyms, but if you're looking for a nice gym with membership that's priced just right, then this gym is the place to go. Why spend hard earned cash on a fancy gym that you don't even use half of all the other "niceties" they have? Not to mention having to put up with rude meatheads and divas that prance around acting like they own the gym.
If you're just looking for a place to work out, PF has good, functional equipment, massage chairs, friendly staff, it's clean, and you even get "Perks Discounts" for quality products.

Just started going to this gym recently. Great location a couple of minutes from home. Never busy later in the evening. Easy to get on euipment. Friendly staff and clean.

My only wish is that they would add one of the giant fans above the bay of treadmills. While the gym is a comfortable temperature, a little more airflow would be nice on that side.

Gym stated will be closed Friday from 5am to Saturday 5am, meanwhile it is now a full day later Sunday at 11am and the gym is STILL CLOSED. No update whatsoever anywhere and their two points of contact are by phone which they state a basic closed message and their Facebook which they haven’t updated in 3 years. I switched to this location the staff here is amazing. And the GM here must really be on it the gym is well maintained and the staff is great. The Chandler location is a mile from me but I avoid it now it has gone down hill ever since the GM has started she has lost all of her good staff and that gym is not maintained. But this location and the Val Vista location are great. Rhonda at the val Vista location is amazing along with the other staff there. It's unfortunate that Chandler is so bad now I joined when it first opened.

Best part for me is I can ride my bicycle up the canal trail (Williams Field to Warner), which runs directly behind the building... so good place to get a pre or post workout outdoor run or walk too. I love Planet Fitness and this particular gym. I tried canceling my to have auto payments stop because I got covid in January 2022. Then after six weeks of isolation, I ended up with “long covid” and was quite sick until May. I called to cancel in the midst of my misery but no, I was told I have to come into the club! I wasn’t able to do this and let the payments continue to be withdrawn out of my account because I simply didn’t know if I could manage getting to the facility. I then had to move across town to south Phoenix, far, far away from my “home club” because of a family emergency and haven’t been in the gym since. My payments are still being taken out of my account. That’s a lot of money in the last eight months!!! I’m planning to leave the country in October and decided to finally try canceling again. I called my home gym tonight and the guy who answered the phone could only say “I can’t” then I asked what CAN you do? This poor guy didn’t seemed trained to even answer my simplest questions which were few. *Please train your people customer service for over the phone!* I pressed him further as to what I CAN do and he said to send an email to “the club”. I said I’d prefer to send it to a manager, not “the club”. He said I had to provide a photo of my ID and an email stating I wanted to cancel and to send it to “the club” email address. Well, I’m not convinced. Especially after Googling how to cancel Planet Fitness and saw I’m supposed to send a certified letter to the home office!? I wish this could be simple but it hasn’t been. I don’t have a clue what to do and I’m NOT sending a photo of my identification to “the club” until I understand what exactly needs to happen next.

I will remove this review and put it on the location opening on March 18. I cannot believe that I got a flyer about this place and the phone number doesn’t work and the hours Monday through Friday 10 AM to 7 PM and Saturday and Sunday 9 AM to 3 PM are utterly ridiculous. I would never join a gym that has limited hours such as this. Also the company should inform their staff of any advertising that goes out at the nearest location which is up the street on Greenfield as they have no clue as to what’s going on with this. So I received this brochure and has not done anything for me except disappoint me at the lack of what is offered on this.
