Not the place you want to go to, the staff is uncooperative and incompetent to manage the place. I asked once if I could reserve a locker and lock it and the staff said okay you can do that. then I came to the gym ro exercise and I couldn't find my stuff and the lock was broken. I was shocked and asked one of the staff called "Ethan" who was terrible to deal with, he said oh we empty the lockers every weekend while I spend 3 weekends with my stuff in the locker and nobody touched it. I asked him to get me in touch with the manager and started giving me excuses or the manager is not around. I ended up with cancelling my membership forever with them. They do not deserve your money and "Ethan" you threw my stuff worth up to 50 bucks in the garbage I advise you better work somewhere else where you dont deal with costumers because you have zero costumer service.

Very nice and friendly! One of the few that have a personal trainer which I need and I can go there even though I’m in a wheelchair! Wouldn’t go anywhere else with their state wide places you can also go to! Love the black card well worth it for just the massage chair! Nice gym. But expect all the typical BS you get from gym memberships. If you want to cancel, you have to physically come to the gym and sign something. We're moving out of state, and were billed last minute--it slipped our minds to cancel. I went in 2 days later and told them we'd be gone, but they still kept the recent payment and told me there were "no refunds" for this kind of thing. I understand we should have shown up earlier to cancel, but it's shockingly frustrating to have a gym with such little goodwill towards members who've paid on time, regularly, otherwise. There's absolutely no way I'll be signing up for Planet Fitness in our new state. For $20, they lost a future member. Hope it was worth it.

Cutting edge in exercise and relaxation equipment. The massage chair is one of those full body massage chairs that you slip your arm in and it massages you from your shoulders to your butt and more. It's do nice.

The machines are reliable and great lay out with a variety of machines. I don't see any staff encouraging wipe downs. Today, there was a trainer working with a client and brought them back to the express work out area. They monopolized 3 machines, interrupting the purple trying to do the workout and then did not have the client wipe down the machines. I tried to talk with the front staff but all the guy dog was shrug his shoulders and mumble. Disappointed with the lack of oversight.

Gilbert Planet Fitness is a solid gym with a lot to offer, but it is a bit on the small side. The equipment is well-maintained, and the facility is always clean, which I appreciate. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is welcoming, making it a great place to work out. However, the size of the gym can make it feel a little crowded at peak times, and sometimes you have to wait for certain machines. Overall, it’s a good place to get a workout in, but a bit more space would make it even better.

I have issues with my back and hip and the massager has helped me tremendously with my mobility. My daughter and I go almost every day. Probably would have been a nice place to be a regular at, if not for the weird guy in the white, fairly new looking, Nissan Transit van stalking the parking lot after dark and harassing people because they're "parking in his spot" or near it, and making threats. Family member and friend transferred their membership to a safer location strictly because of this guy, which is saying something. Mentioned it to employees and they didn't seem to care.

This Planet Fitness really needs to get this guy under control before he harms someone in a rage. Furthermore, he isn't even a gym member far as I can tell. He seems to live in his van, rolls in around dark, likes to park under the far row or middle trees (even at night), never once seen him go into the gym or come out of it to the van. Just parks, and puts up shades, once he is done screaming at and/or flashing/blinding people with his high beams because they "took his spot".

Location had nice equipment when I visited, proximity to Walmart was great too, but can't get behind it with the parking lot safety issue.

Ive been a black card member for years and travel all across the country for work. Ive been to dozens of different gyms but this is the first one Ive felt was actively trying to drive away customers. Im sure there is a reason for that but when I’m confronted as soon as i walk in the door because Im wearing flip flops by a staff member named Lindsey, it is very telling. She didn’t want to allow me entry despite paying $100s in dues over the years. I explained all I wanted to do was use the shower and she eventually relented but said she would write a note about me. Ive been to this gym before and have seen mentally disabled people have literal diarrhea in the stalls. Im very hesitant to go bare foot into their showers. Its sad that PF has to hire attendants with such low critical thinking skills that they risk driving all business away. When i was leaving the gym i thanked Lindsey for finally allowing me to use the shower that i paid for as she was watching tictoks on her phone.

The staff here is hit and miss. There's a few staff members who operate the front desk who are always chatting and on their phones and ignoring guests who walk by. Hi so I never leave reviews for places, especially not gyms, but I felt the need to. I’m sure most people have great experiences and I’ve been going to this gym for months, but when I needed help from the staff they treated me like I was stupid. I tried to go in and transfer locations along with cancel my membership so I could get a teen pass, but for some reason that was so hard to accomplish because the staff kept arguing with me. I was very calm and polite, I said “hey can you please transfer me to this location” the one worker seemed to be struggling which was no biggy, her boss came over and was EXTREMELY rude to me. I simply wanted to transfer to another location. After all was done and I had gotten my eyes rolled at, the front desk worker told me my gym was transferred. Turns out it was not. I checked my app later on that day and it was NOT switched. I tried to call multiple times for that location and I was sent to voicemail. They were definitely open it was during office hours. So I called my new location and they said it was no problem for me to transfer and answered my call without delay. I of course will be continuing with planet fitness, but never again this location. 👎

I'll start with the positives... Planet Fitness keeps their facilities very clean and clean to the extreme. For the most part, the staff is very nice. It's bright and looks brand new.

The negatives are... As a man who trains hard and has more muscle size than perhaps the average person, there is a feeling of being judged. I don't feel welcome, and neither does my wife. The other day, my wife and I were working out together, and she made some noise with the dumbbells when she put them on the floor after doing a set of dumbbell chest presses. Shortly after, my wife was scolded by the manager on duty at the time. The situation was absolutely ridiculous. The noise my wife made with the dumbbells was normal. She did not throw them on the floor. Planet Fitness makes people feel like they need to hold their breath to workout. People are literally not allowed to make any noise. It's a gym, not a library.

If anyone is serious about workout, I do not recommend Planet Fitness.

(Responce to the reply from Planet Fitness. We were not grunting loud. We were not making noises that were excessive or unbecoming. I read the policy, and the point of the review was to bring to light the excessive nature of how the employees uphold the noise policy. The employee who scolded my wife made us feel uncomfortable.)

Staff is is really good about offering "friendly" reminders to wipe down equipment after use. I am all for it. I would also appreciate seeing staff engaged in more cleaning and sanitizing. Feel free to get off the cell phones and join your patrons in keeping a cleaner gym. The restroom is smelly, dirty and gross. When it rains there are buckets and trash receptacles scattered throughout the gym. These are obvious safety/trip hazards and not a good look over a little roof maintenance. This gym is overall ok but the aforementioned issues could be addressed to make it so much better.

I really like the staff here. They are helpful, friendly and listen to you. This Gateway location has good times for me that are not too crowded and the other members are positive and helpful. I canceled my membership on 12/5 for health reasons. I noticed a pending charge on my credit card from 12/1 for $39.59 for a yearly membership fee. I asked about it when I canceled. The guy at the desk said it should drop off because I am canceling and not using their service for the next year. So I waited a week and contacted them on their website twice with no response back. Finally I went in 2 weeks later and spoke to a manger. She stated that it’s in the contract and the charges can’t be reversed. She was also very rude and unprofessional. I would AVOID Planet Fitness because they have these hidden in your “contract”. I am a twice returning customer but I will say I am 100% avoiding Planet Fitness in the future. They are scammers! And I will be sure to let all my friends and family know as well. I’m so disappointed in them….

The staff at this location are rude, especially the manager Jessica! Jessica over-talked me the entire 3-minute conversation and stated "No, I'm not removing the late fee." The fact that my payment was taken out on the 24th, yet I was charged a late fee the next day on the 25th. I explained to Jessica, that we have a state of the art gym in our building... the only reason I have a PF account is due to Esporta closing. Further, the fact that I've been paying since May, 2022 on an account that I don't use and the annual fee has already been paid... However, I keep this PF membership as an option to work out on their "clunky, sub-par equipment," since I travel often and they're accessibly nationwide. Unfortunately, I wanted to workout at a PF while traveling and was unable to do so, due to a $10 late fee that this location charged AFTER THE PAYMENT WAS MADE! This is a PATHETIC OPERATION! No common courtesy, at all. I would NOT recommend anyone to this Planet Fitness! Jessica is NOT a good manager! She needs to be retrained on how to be professional and courteous to customers. Politeness goes a long way, versus being rude! I recommend going to LA FITNESS, EOS, or CRUNCH!!! Transferred ,membership from this location today! Thankfully, staff at the new location seem to be more approachable and respectful to assisting the customer, versus being rude and unprofessional.

When you go in there it’s like working out in a wind tunnel the fans are so high that you freeze even when you've been burning calories. Make sure you have your ears covered your ears will hurt from how high the fan is blowing. TLDR: Broke my foot shortly after starting my membership and they still require me to come in to cancel my membership. Apparently canceling via email is reserved for people who are out of state only and I had to speak with 3 different people who all told me different information.

Edit: while I’m aware cancellation information is available online, the manager I spoke with did not list mail as an option for cancellation. When I requested a method outside of going in, she said there is none. I’ve already gone in to cancel my membership but it certainly would have been nice of her to let me know mail was an option.

I called in and the person at the desk answered, was unable to assist with some things so I requested a manager call me later when they’re available. Shortly after I received a call, young sounding individual laughing while trying to talk with me and they said I’d have to wait for a manager, I said I requested a manager initially and they said they thought they could help. I was irritated so I requested a manager call me again. 30 minutes later a manager calls, asks for some other name, I think she said Bethany or something like that and then corrected herself. She lacks empathy and just seemed like she was in an awful mood. She explained that despite me not being able to walk, cancelling a membership via email is reserved for people who are out of state. This Planet Fitness equipment is state of the art. The Black Card allows for amazing perks. The ten minute massage beds, chairs to relax, the 12 minute Total Balance to provide a 30 workout, tanning beds, percentage off drinks, snacks and products are worth the extra $10 a month, even if you don't like to work out. This is so down too earth that isn't so comfortable for everyone except the prudes.

Beautiful place this is a newer one I went to see while my home gym is down the road here in Gilbert area they r so beautiful clean and we r very lucky
