The staff here is always friendly and welcoming! I had an issue with my account (my fault) and they were so kind helping me to get it resolved. The gym itself is really nice, with multiple smith machines, and really everything you could need from free weights, bands, cardio and streching. It is always very clean and is a great place to workout!

Bonus - they have red light and massage for recovery or just relaxation.

What is going on at the Peoria planet fitness… The last couple of weeks has been apparently new staff behind the desk. They’re on their phones all the time laughing cackling … they don’t even welcome you in or when you’re leaving like they used to do…today they cranked up the music …. the last few weeks, the paper towel containers were regularly empty. Cleaning bottles were empty. ….the soap dispenser had out of order sign on it… Several equipment had out of order signs…. The cushions on some of the equipment are torn or beginning to tear apart.… It’s not the same place anymore… The staff is cold and really don’t seem to care

The place was very clean. I went for a long walk and took a shower afterwards. Very hot water to the point I couldn’t handle it at its hottest. That’s always a great thing. The cold wasn’t as long as I’d like but it’s heating up and cold water is a premium.

I’ve been a loyal Planet Fitness member for quite a while now, and up until recently, I always had a great experience. The former manager, Christian, was fantastic—always welcoming and made the environment feel positive and inclusive. Unfortunately, over the past few months, that welcoming atmosphere has really changed.

The new manager within the last couple months doesn’t seem to have the same level of customer service or people skills that this location truly needs. The overall vibe has shifted—the staff often appear unhappy or disengaged, and it’s noticeable. I come to the gym not just to work out but to be in a motivating, positive environment, and lately, it’s been lacking that energy.

I genuinely hope upper management takes a closer look at what’s going on here. This used to be a place that felt good to walk into, but now it feels the opposite. A change in leadership could make a big difference.

The manager, Cody ignored requests to give equal ammenities to the disabled. Assistant manager Lexi lied about amenities and also refused to give equal amenities.

Lexi lied about the gender neutral restroom stating it was “an employee exclusive restroom”.

Lexi (female) entered the mens locker room while it was in use by men. Proceeded to enter mens shower area, claiming she thought there had been an injury (though none had been declared), would not leave after finding no such incident and male employee Mike was already in locker room.

No signage directing unsighted members to toilet, showers or lockers.

Showers left unclean at times from one day to the next.

Rude behavior from staff.

No privacy for disabled shower area. Staff refused to make stools, offered in all other shower rooms, available to disabled patrons.

No anti slip mats outside of showers.

Discrimination against disabled patrons rampant.

This is an okay location, I will say it is very clean, not to busy. The staff I will say is not to engaging I purchased my black card membership online and I guess I just expected my first experience to be a lot different. I was excited about the personal training but now I don't know because I didn't feel to comfortable asking the evening staff like I said they were not engaging at all. The only amenities that they have already tanning beds in the total body enhancement. They have good equipment and there location is pretty big.

I really like the location of this gym. The gym itself is broken up very nicely and is really spacious. The layout is one of my favorite , a lot of mirrors to check your form.
Recently there was some slack in the women’s locker room. I’d accidentally drop clean clothes or towels changing and pick up with dirt and wads of hair. I’d approached a young girl at the front desk about the cleanliness and she got very defensive. I was very calm and told her I was just stating from observations. Since around that time which it sounds like there were some things happening around night crew cleaning, this has shifted tremendously back to very clean. Last night the girl in there cleaning was helpful as I couldn’t get the handicap stall water hot .

Two things I do recommend and have already mentioned to front desk : a new shower head in handicap stall and please clean the large back up of mold from all faucet heads in women’s locker room .

My wife and I recently re-joined a local Planet Fitness in Indiana. However, while traveling in AZ, we used the facilities at this PF in Peoria. After showering, my wife heard what she thought was a male voice inside the women's restroom. When she exited the shower she saw a young man in the bathroom who was apparently confused as to his gender. She complained to the front desk staff and it was explained to her that Planet Fitness' policy is that people can use the restrooms and showers of whatever gender the most identify with and as a result of this policy the company apparently received a backlash from women members. The resistance to change the policy back to something with common sense while catering to a very small category of members has apparently resulted in the cancelation of a large swath of PF members nationwide. We said they are losing 2 more because we will be canceling our membership as well. Unbelievable that this is yet another company has an insane policy that puts their female members in potential danger, or at the very least, takes away their privacy and feeling of safety in the locker room, bathrooms and showers.

i usually don’t mind this location but tonight was terrible enough for me to never come back to this location at night. about 7 people including 2-3 employees were at the front desk for about 30 minutes screaming and yelling, laughing so loud i could hear it through my airpods turnt all the way up! and i was on the treadmills / weights all the way at the end of the gym. i have videos but it won’t let me attach them, definitely will be showing corporate though. some of us come to the gym at night after a long stressful day to escape and improve health. you completely ruining that is probably not in your job description. i don’t care if employees talk to friends, but WHY are you YELLING so loud at 10PM!?!? w lake pleasant prkwy, i know there’s only a couple members at night working out, but PLEASE be a little more considerate of the people working out.

For a year and a half I barely had any problems at this location, taking my guest with me , both of us getting a massage here an there ...
About 2 months ago we had to create a profile for the guests , about a month ago they started not letting my guest and I get a massage. As my guest is my wife, I'd let her get the massage, she is the boss .

Yesterday I asked for a massage chair , and 30 seconds after she laid down, the new employee ( apparently a new supervisor or manager) turned it off. I asked what happened and he said she can't get the massage , as she is not the member.
I told him that I wanted her to have my massage, I didn't want one .
He said I cant do that, is the policy .

As veteran I understand policies and as a professional I understand costumer service and that was a extremely poor one . So I just cancelled my membership on the spot. Not only the location lost the costumer ( one of the few that actually go to the gym), but the whole chain. Not a big deal for Planet fitness, I know .
But I'm the costumer that never comes back.

11 double dispenser locations in main workout areas for paper towels. Only one dispenser was out, and another out of order, but the other side of the double dispenser station had paper towels so anywhere you were in the gym you had paper towels.

Mat locations in good condition (other Planet Fitness locations I have been to just stack them on the ground)

Water fountain locations have water filter water bottle dispensers (both green light status). Two water filter stations in the gym.

Black Card room is spacious, and they actually have two different big room locations. (6) water bed massagers with two paper towel dispensers in that room. I did not check out the other black card room.

Numerous showers in the men’s locker room. Everything clean.

Every garbage can inside was not overflowing. Only bad thing was the garbage can outside the club was filled to the top, but everything else inside was run as it should be.

It was clean, equipment was in good condition, and the men’s locker room was clean.

I’ve been going here daily for 2 weeks and over the last few days the conditions of the women’s showers have drastically gone down. I am a nomad and use planet fitness in several locations and this by far has the dirtiest showers in the last few days. It’s Wednesday Jan 3rd and there are 3 women’s showers that still have garbage in them from days ago, I end up using the one towards the front that’s semi-clean. My husband said the men’s showers aren’t much cleaner.

I love planet fitness for the ease of access, price, and great locations. I am just really disappointed and disgusted with the state of the women’s showers in the last few days. With the amount of people using a gym, these should be cleaned daily at minimum.

We are moving soon so I will only have to be using this location for the next few days, but I sure won’t miss it!

The gym is decent and at a decent price. It does not make sense that you are required to wear the mask while on the equipment even tho they are all spaced at the "Required Social Distance." Can't we elect to not wear the mask ONLY while on the equipment, so we do NOT breath in harmful carbon dioxide?
Even the commercial for Planet Fitness advertises the members working out showing off their jackass smiles on their non-mask-wearing-faces. Stupid

" it is corporate policy that cell phone use is only permitted in the lobby of the club. Use of cell phones on the gym floor or while using equipment is dangerous for individual members and distracting to others,"
This is the policy of planet fitness however there are people in here gabbing on their phone for an entire hour, and no one says anything to them, staff rarely come into the gym area except to clean

All gyms are required to have signage on the wall that states the policy, which is that jeans, boots, sandals, or string tank tops (men’s muscle T-shirts) are not allowed.

In the 30 minute workout only section there is a sign that says regularly monitored by staff, that needs to be changed to never monitored by staff, it is a jungle in there with people doing whatever they want and stepping all over the people trying to follow the 30 minute rules, it's a breeding ground for every "Karen" and "Meathead" in the neighborhood.

This gym needs to install seats in the gym because people mostly women sit on the equipment and surf their cell phone for endless amounts of time, other people wanting to use that equipment are out of luck, again staff not correcting any bad behaviors whatsoever.

Response to owner: it is not my job as a customer to report rule violations to your staff. They should be doing periodic rounds in the gym to ensure safety and rules are followed, they do this when they check the bathroom and sign that they have insured it's cleanliness. They should do the same for security and safety.

Great place, lots of weights and machines. Employees are helpful. Not too crowded, definetly better social distancing guidelines in place vs other clubs. Overall a better club than competitors.

Planet Fitness is friendly, clean, professional, and priced right.
Perfect for what I need and expect in a gym.
I’m not overpaying for stuff I don’t use like a pool, rock climbing wall, or daycare.

I love Planet Fitness! From the first day, I felt very welcome and part of the family. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and awesome. The variety of machines, the ease of use and the cleanliness of everything makes for a great workout.

A friendly and clean environment. Many perks to PF membership such a being able to bring a friend, a good layout of their equipment, massage chairs/tables, tanning etc.

As full-time RV’ers, my wife and I see a lot of PF clubs.

This one in particular has kept my wife and I coming back despite sometimes cold women’s showers (mine are always warm).

Bonus! The massage area has spa music and little plants scattered about to give it that spa vibe.

Machines are clean, as usual. This one ranks in the list of more cleanly and friendly PF clubs we’ve been to.
