I arrived on Saturday 11/22 at 7 AM, the scheduled opening time, but the business was closed. The first employee told me he didn’t have the keys and that someone would arrive in 5 minutes. Another employee came about 30 minutes later and also had no keys. At that point, I had waited nearly an hour on my only day off. I ultimately left after being told no one else would be coming anytime soon. There was no apology, and the staff showed no concern for the inconvenience this caused.

The staff is wonderful! They were extremely helpful in transferring a membership from a different location. They didn't have to take the time to do that, but they did so and saved me a lot time and trouble. Their facilities are excellent, with all their machines maintained and cleaned properly. Best of all, the wide variety of hours for their gym provides great flexibility. Kudos to their staff!

I agree with Brandon, previous post. Try taking a hot shower any time of day, not happening. What a waste of water!!! There needs to be a booster installed from the hot water heater. Try to get on the machine that you need. People sitting there forever on their cell phones.

Upgraded, but see below for update. I would like to know how you (Planet Fitness) can take monies for annual fee and monthly fee when you're not even open yet. You keep extending the "newly opened" membership fee for $1.00 to start. I think you should change your site to state that you are not yet opened.

**UPDATE: They did fiinally open++ However, if you want to cancel your subscription you have to literally go into their building to do so. The only alternative is to place your cancellation in writing and mail them a letter through the US Post office... The plus side, great equipment.

I recently joined Planet Fitness through Silver Sneakers, and as a 70-year-old woman who’s not a “gym rat,” I wasn’t sure what to expect—but the experience has been absolutely incredible.
From the moment I walked in, the staff was beyond fantastic—welcoming, friendly, and genuinely caring. Carden spent over 45 minutes personally showing me around, demonstrating the equipment, and making sure I felt completely at ease. He made it clear that I could always ask for help if I ever get confused.
Both Carden and Keymon helped sign me up, and their teamwork and professionalism were flawless. When I returned to actually work out, Sarah (the GM) was just as kind and helpful, answering all my questions and offering great support.
The club itself is spotlessly clean, there's no waiting for machines, and the whole atmosphere feels like workout paradise. I never imagined I’d be excited to go to the gym—but here I am. Highly recommend. Thank you all!

I recently decided to cancel my standard membership. I went to the gym that l visit, Green Valley Az and was helped by Sarah' the manager.
She asked why and l told her that I really wanted the Black Card membership hut my insurance company wasn't accepted. So l paid for the standard membership but have decided to quit.
She suggested that l check out the Nogales P.F. as some accept my insurance. So l did and my insurance company is accepted and pays the 50.00 fee and more than 50% of the monthly fee. So because Sarah took the time and interest in me l am a happy Black Card customer.
So thank you Sarah for a great customer service experience!

I don’t even want to give them 1 star. This place used to be worth going to when it first opened. The staff was awesome, machines worked with no problems and when broken, they were fixed fast. Greeted you as soon as you walked in the door and always said have a good day when leaving. Now it all has changed. The staff is rude, lazy, disrespectful and can’t even do something when it’s brought up. They stay up front for hours watching videos on the computer or cell phones and people take bottles to them that are empty No one greets you or say anything when you leave. The guys use this gym as a playground to hit on females and some have even done inappropriate behavior things in some of the black card rooms while management knew it the whole time. Machines are broke more than they get used. There is trash, dust and dirt all over the place. The bathrooms are gross and something is always broken in it. If LA fitness was closer, I’d be a lot happier going there to workout. They actually should’ve built one down here. Not to mention having to wait for machines when people are sitting on them for 10-15 minutes whiling sitting on their phones and not working out. It’s alway absolutely hot in the back like you’re standing outside still. When it’s brought up the employees say they can’t do anything about it. Jared is the vice president and when I’ve seen him there, he’s sitting on his computer while the employees are all standing up front doing nothing when they could be doing a lot. It doesn’t seem like he cares anymore then the employees. Maybe they all should be fired including him as well!

I tried to get help on equipment usage when I joined and couldn't get help. The tanning beds and rooms are dirty. One bed has not been repaired since September 2023. The management is of no help and doesn't show respect for the people. The greeters very seldom greet people. I've been to many other gyms and they seem to value the customers better.

I'm so happy we have Planet Fitness here. It's my favorite. The staff is friendly and always helpful, if I have questions. Very nice locker rooms. And PF Express is a great 30-minute workout, besides a huge facility with plenty of free weights and machines for everyone. Then I top it off in the stretching cage- and feel great! 👍

They don't accept Silver & Fit membership, which most PFs do. The screens are too far back from the first row of machines (bikes), so you really strain your neck just to see them. Unfortunately, due to Plantar Fasciitis the bikes are the only cardio I can use. The staff are not as friendly as other PFs I've used. So, only 3 stars.

The batteries on all four rowing machines have been dead since the day the club opened two years ago. Not once have the batteries been changed, even though I tell the club workers each time and email customer service. It's batteries. Should take five minutes at the most.

Overall it's a good place, except they are slow to make important repairs. Recently two out of the four restrooms in the women's locker room were out of order. One out of the two recumbent stepper machines has been out of order for few weeks. It is also frustrating that there's nobody to contact about this. The staff are not in a position to request repairs. It has to go through multiple other people. It's hard to know who's responsible for requesting the repairs and what the status of them are.

I'm disabled and I do feel like it is an an inclusive environment. The staff are very friendly. The price is good.

I’ve been weight training for 30+ years.
I’ve trained in several gyms in the GV area and nothing compares to PF. It’s large with plenty of equipment for a comprehensive workout. I rarely have to wait for machines or dumbells. Cleanliness in all PF’s is paramount. I can honestly can say I have improved my muscle mass and sculpted a whole new body. The staff is always very friendly although they do seem to have a problem maintaining staff. Perhaps they should consider hiring older individuals who have a better work ethic.
Lastly, I am aware of their locker room policy of allowing men in the women’s locker room provided the have ID stating their gender is a woman.
Planet Fitness is “WOKE” and I anticipated this type of policy. However, if I walk into the women’s locker room and see a man in there.. I will immediately cancel my membership. Policies such as that do not belong in our community which is comprised mostly of retirees. With all if that being said.. I highly recommend PF.

At the beginning I was impressed by the machines and the convience to workout close to work. Last Friday I found maggots crawling in various places in the gym. I informed staff about the disgusting and disturbing issue. The ladies upfront were kind and pick them up but not one cleaned the area. I just had a kidney transplant and working out in a maggot infested facility is not my idea of sanitary or safe. Use precaution when in this facility

This place is pretty impressive. So many machines so waiting doesn’t seem likely. Staff are very welcoming and will assist you if needed.
A full locker area with showers.
Weight lifting area and lots of options to work your body. They participate in Silver Sneakers program. Only wish they had classes for yoga, etc.
I’d stop by and check it out. They’ve come a long way from what they were several years ago.
A line of large TV screens in front of treadmills. They also have their App which will go over instructions on how to use each machine. Great idea! I’m happy I checked into it and in a good location. 😊👍

Total scam. it's not $10 per month, after 2 months they charge an additional $52. Although I canceled, they still did nothing to help me to get a refund or partial refund. The "Manager" Rachel misguided me to request a refund online since I only used their facilities twice, just to be told it had to be done at the local location with the Manager, who turned out to not be flexible or understanding at all. Don't go here, not worth it. Extremely unprofessional, and complete judgement zone.

Talk of the town! Was at another local gym that was way overpriced and had bad bad bad customer service- do not know how they will stay afloat now! Can’t beat the price and the staff here! I’d avoid week nights because it’s mostly high school and college kids. I don’t think they’re really working out but “hanging out”.. I prefer to come in the mornings or at night on the weekends to avoid them. I also wish they had better tanning beds. I tan easily but I’ve used their tanning bed/booth about 8 times so far and don’t see much of a difference in my complexion!!

Really affordable option for folks who can’t join GVR. GVR created a little bit of a market vacuum for gyms in the area, so I was really excited when Planet Fitness opened up! Super clean, great equipment and perfect amenities. I signed up for the $25/month black card member so I could bring my Mom and use the spa after my workout. It’s worth it; the hydro massage recliners are amazing!

Unbelievable with these low reviews for a place that wasn’t officially opened yet. If you know how to read and pay attention upon pre-sign up it states you will be notified by email when they are officially opened. Using Google to check open/closed and time status for establishments are not always accurate.

The Sahuarita Pitchfork Mafia have dug their claws in…

The staff outside the gym have been nothing short of awesome. In person, on the phone and via e-mail, they have always said “we hope to be open by (insert day here)”. They never said it was certain. It’s tough to please everyone, but at least they’re trying and doing what they believe is the right thing to do.

But here we are… TEN 1-star reviews because they haven’t opened yet and you’re mad and want the world to know it 😡🤣. Be patient. Good things take time. If this gym - when it’s open - has the same energy and culture as the employees working the registration tables outside, it’s going to be great.

Also, if you whined about signing up and paying fees, go use the gym on Irvington… it’s included in your pre-registration… and only takes 15 minutes from Rancho.

A business is just like building a house permits and inspections need done. Every time you do something major it needs inspection and that could takes a couple of days or weeks . Yes I’m too irritated but it’s because of the listed opening date an effort should be made to not list the opening date but things happen. Take your happy behind for 20-30 min drive and go the the other one till it opens. All this whinny folks will forget about it once there saggy behinds are on a treadmill…

3-15-23 update after passing by and speaking to employee. He stated water heating did not pass inspection so there you have inspections are always an issues when building something from the ground up.

Our opening has been pushed back several times and I understand how frustrating that can be. Us too at Planet Fitness are very frustrated in the chain of events as as well.

The reasoning behind the multiple delays is finalizing inspection with the city. Everything must be 100% flawless for not only for our safety, but so you guys can have the best experience possible.

One thing we promise is to deliver extraordinary customer service, and as soon as we’re open we hope you come with understanding compassion . Monday, March 13th, we’ll have an inspection with the city that we hope to overcome the small hiccups we have been dealing with. Once we receive the green light from the city our doors will immediately open for enjoyment of the public.

This company keeps postponing their opening date. We signed up expecting to use our memberships locally and now a month has passed with no hard opening date listed for the customer. No, we will not be driving all the way into the next town over, just to use our gym memberships. We did this with the expectation of a timely opening and Planet Fitness gladly took our money. This doesn't bode well in this community that demands punctuality and excellent services. They better make this poor 1st impression worthwhile.
