I absolutely love that my daughter is taking Karate here!She loves it! The atmosphere is always so positive and respectful ! The Instructors are wonderful! I love that you have 4 days and different times to choose from incase your schedule is different you can go on different days. My daughter is learning to be more respectful and has more self discipline. She comes home excited to show me what she has learned that day. I would highly recommend them!

My son started as soon as he turned 3 1/2. So, we are about 5 months in. It was a little bumpy adjustment initially for him, but the entire dojo / team / workers / classmates + other parents were very supportive. Shihan and many parents that started their kids as young as my little man said it was a similar start and they were all right within a month he was excited to go to class. Also, the older students in the class made a point to make my son feel welcomed. Without any telling them to. It is genuinely so sweet to watch. There is a great sense of community and support. Shihan does fun things like themed weeks and bring buddy days. You can tell that the family running the dojo are really passionate about their school. They also do many special occasion events for the students. The instructors really go above and beyond to make sure the kids are having fun and support where they need it. If a kiddo is having a hard time an instructor will try to peel away and assit them as needed. I've also seen my son come out of his shell. He is talking more with other kids and starting to make friends. As well as hes retaining what he learns. He loves practicing at home! Its very exciting to see / watch. I absolutely recommend this dojo.

My 6 and 4 year old have been taking lessons twice a week for 5 weeks now. We are so impressed by how much they've learned and the quality of what they've learned. Shihan DePalma has a wonderful way with kids and its clear in every interaction that he loves what he is doing. Not only are they having fun but they are learning skills that will benefit them for years to come.

This is a karate dojo that maintains its expectations but is flexible for the student needs and thus there is no reason for giving up. As a mom it is nice to have a positive novel environment to reinforce manners, respect, focus and patience. Sensei DePalma is a dad and gets parenting is rough and try’s to organize his classes to best fit the needs of the group of the day as he observes students set backs and progress. It is very family friendly and so much more than karate skills achievement. I can’t say how happy I am to see my shy son step out of his comfort zone and make little achievements that are building his character and confidence.

DePalma's Martial Arts has been a miracle for my son. He has always been hard on himself and refused to try if he would not be perfect. Great karate dojo! Shihan DePalma is the best! All the instructors are knowledgeable, patient & kind, but also don't hesitate to push you to do your best. They offer the most up to date equipment in the pro shop & lots of clothing to show your spirit for DePalma's Team USA Karate. There are many different levels of classes & they are offered for all ages & abilities. As a parent, I am able to train at this dojo and my daughter is able to train as well. They offer 1 on 1 support to help you be your best & the other karate students are always willing to help, too. It's a great sense of community in this school. They also teach discipline, respect & integrity. 10/10, ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐, HIGHLY recommended!!!

I highly recommend this place for your youngsters. Not only do they teach the skills to progress through the belts, they also help you as a parent establish behaviors that will help your child for a lifetime. My son started at DePalma’s a year ago. We put him in Karate to give him something to do and help him get rid of some energy. My son has never been the sports kid, after trying soccer, to t-ball, etc. so when he said “let’s try karate” i thought ok we will see how this goes! Little did I know that getting him into DePalmas was the best thing I could do for him. Shihan has been absolutely wonderful and my son has done a complete 180. He was having behavior issues in school and battles ADHD, anxiety, and a significant learning disability. He now has minimal issues in school and us thriving. It took sometime for him to really take karate seriously but now I see sides of my son I knew were there really shine. A leader who is kind and helpful, as well as strong and determined. Shihan pushes these kids not only to be the best on the mat but also off, in their community, at home, at school, etc. My son is determined to be a black belt in martial arts and his ultimate goal now is to be an instructor one day. He is excited everyday to be his best self, and when it is time for karate he is excited to get out the door and train. When off the mat he is determined to work on his techniques and be better. Thank you Shihan for being the light my son needed, the transformation has been amazing and I am one proud karate mom! Proud to be apart of Team DePalmas!

DePalma's Team USA Martial Arts are so awesome and an amazing to watch instructors, kids and adults even parents could join for learning how to karate. I am so excited and motivated to enroll into their Karate Program for my daughter. She just received first place trophy for her nice open forms an expert kicking like Chun-Li. Best experience for her learning what The H.E.A.T (High in Excellence Arizona Tournament) in QueenCreek. I wanted her to be motivated and winning. It was great feelings to be proud of her. I’ve been attending for over a year now, and it has been absolutely a perfect choice for me. It’s an excellent school all around, not just for kids but for retirees like me. Shihan DePalma is the right balance of professional and personable. He is an all around great instructor and a genuinely great person. His enthusiasm and love of his craft, along with his discipline,tempered with an easygoing nature- is the epitome of what a martial art instructor should be.
The dojo is clean, comfortable and roomy; the mats are the perfect medium for the purpose( no rug burn on my feet or knees, easy to maneuver on and not smelly). And affordable, compared to other schools that I’ve been to elsewhere!
I highly recommend this school for everyone that is looking for a personal challenge and is tired of a gym routine but wants to be all they can be...I’m bettering myself ,mind body and spirit, by being a part of the DePalma team.

This place is fantastic. We have our 3 year old going and she absolutely loves it! The Sensei is seriously amazing. He is great with the kids and makes the experience whole. Not only that, but he knows you. The conversations that he has with you, he remembers. He is very personable, and approachable.
