I was down and out. Felt lost and big, big. Uncomfortable, with a lot of obvious aches that did not exist before. So I had to do something about it. I did some research, downloaded thumbtack put in my zip code and the first person to pop up was Nadine. I went through her biography, her pictures of her business, and the reviews. I thought this seems like a perfect match. I had an instant connection to her gym. I messaged her and she responded quickly and explained some of the process on how everything works. There was not a lot of details provided which was really nice, because that meant I had to get up and discover what was there. She went over availability and we set something up. “She said bring water and a towel and I’ll do the rest.” I won’t forget how nervous but excited that I was for this trip to her gym. Now that I look back I think she enjoyed being a little mysterious because she peaked my interest and took control of the situation which felt so comforting. I said to her “I feel like I need to be at your gym” and she responded “if you feel like that, there has to be a reason, seems that you could be in the right place” Well I just have to say I WAS in the right place and I still am I have been training 4x a week with Nadine I have had amazing results due to her excellent knowledge on fitness and her custom nutrition plan that she made just for me because I am pescatarian. That was a huge concern but Nadine took care of my nutrition plan with ease. My first weigh in my goal was to be down 1% body fat just to start with, but once I did my weigh in we realized I was down 3.5% body fat as well as 20lbs. The excitement that ran through my body was so amazing and Nadine gave me the biggest hug and high five and said that is such an amazing job that you did that. And with her wonderful training and professionalism that body fat % is going down down down every month and my muscles are growing and I can see some significant changes in my body. Not to mention everyone at the gym is so kind, supportive, peaceful, hard working, and a ton of fun. Nadine’s Gym is the place to be. I feel welcomed, safe, and eager to learn. This has been a life changing, monumental journey and I wouldn’t want to do that with anyone other than Nadine!! Thank you for being so incredibly amazing at what you do. Thank you for being there for me. Thank you for the 1:1 sessions so I can learn even more. I am so grateful for you. Nadine is absolutely fantastic. Her attitude and energy is second to none. I am by no means a fan of working out but when you are there you feel like a friend is just trying to help you get and stay healthy. I've lost weight, gotten stronger, and can see a difference when I look in the mirror. I am incredibly grateful to have Nadine there guiding me through the process.

Working out with Nadine was seriously such a game changer for me! My asthma has gotten so much worse over the past several years and it's been so frustrating that I haven't been able to hike or do other physical activities that I previously enjoyed. Nadine was so accommodating of my health but gently pushed me out of my comfort zone. Workouts are always fun with her and keep me laughing, but also push me to work harder. Last week, my husband and I visited some of the national parks in Utah and ended up hiking 40 miles total! I never could have dreamed of doing something like that before I met Nadine. She's the best!

Nadine at The Fitness Joint is a top notch fitness trainer and nutritionist. I have been going to her for about a year and am super happy with my weight loss. More importantly, I'm much happier with my overall fitness, mental health and energy levels as a result of her program.
Her workouts are fun and varied. It's rare I do the same exercise with her from day to day but I get a great total body workout when I visit her gym. The other clients she works with are also really fun and help encourage and keep me on track with my fitness goals.
If you're looking for a quality, low key and fun gym/trainer, Nadine and The Fitness Joint is the place for you.

This place has saved my body post quarantine. I've been going for a month and a half and have noticed amazing results. Nadine pushes you to your limits and your body will thank you. I started going because I felt like just going to the gym wasn't cutting it. She has you do a full body workout, which includes cardio and abs, two things I had a tendency to skip at the gym. She also includes a diet plan, I have never felt healthier! I will continue to go, highly recommend it.

I've been training with Nadine for a few months now. I stumbled upon her business after deciding to take my fitness journey to the next level. As some background on me, I've always been relatively active. I ran through throughout high school, and continued working out at the gym and doing reformer Pilates into the start of my twenties. I'm now 23, and around February I noticed I had hit a plateau in the goals I had set for my body. I started to realize the workouts I was doing when I was 18 and 19, may not be the most beneficial to me currently. Fast forward to now, I see so many changes in my body. I not only look more toned, I feel so much stronger. Between Nadine's workouts, the meal plan she provided me, and the Pilates, I've never felt better. Not only is she incredibly knowledgeable, she's a fantastic motivator and friend. I get excited to come to my workouts and have her kick my butt. No matter if you're just starting to exercise or if you're already athletic, I promise that you'll love Nadine!

When I started working with Nadine I had clear fitness goals, but did not really know where to start or what to do to achieve those goals. That changed after only a couple sessions with Nadine. Nadine has been my trainer for about 6 months now. She keeps me on my toes as each workout is different and unique to my goals. If I have knee pain she will alter my program for that day, which is very appreciated. She is great with follow up and her personality is very down to earth. I love her support and her friendship as well as the effort she puts into my physical well-being. I am stronger now than I have been in years... even my husband has been going to her for a few months now too. It’s fun working out together and having her guidance. I have been seeing Nadine since June and she is the most amazing trainer. I was very nervous to start at first because I had rarely gone to the gym and I knew it would be very hard for me at the beginning, but she made it very easy for me to begin and continue my journey with her. She has a very positive attitude and always motivates you to push yourself a little harder than before. The vibe at her location is awesome, everyone that trains with her is very nice and friendly, I have seen many of her clients improve noticeably within the time I have been there. I also have seen how my resistance has improved and I have lost over 70 lbs within 5 1/2 months following the meal plan she provided and the workouts she gives us. Until this summer I had literally never worked out regularly in my life and had a lot of not-great feelings about my body. When I decided I was ready to make a real effort, I started looking for local gyms with affordable personal or small group training and relaxed, welcoming atmospheres. I couldn't be happier with what Nadine is doing with The Fitness Joint. She's great at drawing out more effort than you knew you had while respecting your limits. I'm always challenged but never overwhelmed or made to feel unsafe. After just a month I look better and, more importantly, I feel much less pathetic. Coming here is one of the best decisions I've made in years.

After years of disappointment with other personal trainers, I finally got results with Nadine. Did I lose weight? No. But I lost inches, which is more important. Your clothes don’t lie! I could look even better if I were more fastidious about my diet and did extra cardio. (Current life circumstances prevent me from doing so. This is obviously not Nadine’s fault.) Nadine is not only knowledgeable, she is kind and encouraging. And not the least bit pretentious. These qualities are hard to come by in the fitness industry.

I have been coming here since June '19, and so far I am loving the results. I have gone done in body fat percentage and gaining some muscle, and endurance along the way. I am actually able to run without getting winded in the first minutes of running, which is something that i have never been able to do before.
If you like have a hype man when working, then this is definitely the place for you. Nadine is encouraging while you are working out, and always pushing you to do just that bit more of what you think you are cable of, and you see what the things that you have improved upon.

I moved to Arizona 11 months ago, leaving my trainer behind in Oregon. I was worried about finding the right fit again but the universe was listening. Two weeks after moving I was having dinner with friends and given Nadine's name and number. That is when my relationship with The Fitness Joint began.
10 months later I'm thrilled to say it was the best choice I could have made. I have lost inches, gained confidence, lost body fat percentage, and gained strength.
She makes training fun, brutal, but fun. She has a way of encouraging you but also listening to your needs. She talks you through the moves to decide if it's the best one for you. She is always changing things up so boredom isn't an issue.
I can not recommend The Fitness Joint enough. And did I mention the new gym space?!? You'll love it! Great environment, great trainer, and great results!

Nadine is awesome! I jsut recently started training with her and plan to continue for a while. After chatting with her for 5 minutes at my first session, it felt like she’s known me forever. She makes training fun and I look forward to each session. She will modify exercises based on your needs and skill level but also challenge you. She trains in a small group setting but the session is still tailored to your needs. It’s also been fun to get to know other people who train with her. I highly recommend trying a session with Nadine! You’ll be hooked!

Nadine is a fun, personal and effective trainer. She makes you feel welcome every time you walk in the door. Nadine has been a blessing and worked with my crazy schedule and helped with my personal goals/additional triathlon training. I have faster times in races with the addition of strength training. If I smile too much, the workout is too easy and she kicks it up a notch! Haha - in a good way! Having Nadine as a trainer has kept me accountable and has helped me get back into my routine. She adapts your workout to how you are feeling but will push you and not take excuses. I am trying not to focus on numbers these days and more on performance and as mentioned, I have seen a great improvement since I started working with Nadine in October 2018.

I have been training with Nadine for 6 months now and am blissfully happy with the results! I've quickly gone from 19% to 14% body fat since starting her program. She truly knows her stuff. At The Fitness Joint, Nadine takes every client she has into consideration. I cannot stress enough how much she cares about each one of us; which is something special in a trainer. I have been going to her for about 2 months, and have learned a lot of new exercises and workouts. She pushes me beyond my boundaries. I really enjoy coming here 2-3 times a week to train with Nadine. Her workouts are exercises that I have never done before, and I have been working out for a while, but it is great to have her there to push me and show me new things. I can't wait to have her retake my measurements and BMI so I can see how far I've come with her! I highly recommend it here. I love coming here!

If you want the short of it - Nadine and Joe work hard to cater to their clients and make the environment fun... but they do not sacrifice quality of the program. I highly recommend them if you are looking to make a fitness transition in your life.
The long of it: a few years back I had back surgery. I was told by the doc to lose weight and fast. I was nearing 300 pounds at one point and finally came to terms with needing help. I came across Nadine by luck and did my due diligence (she is certified and insurred... not just a jock with a dream). After my first workout I realized that this Zandt, caring group would be where I would go.
Fast forward 15 months (I'll save the workout details for when you try it... lol). I lost 90 pounds, put on more muscle, my metabolism is in check. I'm eating healthier and living better than I was. I worked hard to get here... and while it took my own determination to get here, their help and motivation and guidance was worth it.
While it is time for me to move on to maintenance mode for my fitness... I plan to drop in now and again and take a cardio plunge with these guys.
