I only wish we would have found Philip years sooner. His knowledge, ability to explain, and demonstrate shots is next level. He is straight forward and precise. He is extremely well connected in the golf world which has helped my high school golfer gain multiple opportunities to play college golf. Philip is a fantastic instructor. He has literally transformed my game and made golf fun again. No matter what your skill level is, he can improve any and all aspects of your game. I originally contacted Benjamin Benton at Backnine Golf several months ago for a quick fitting for a PXG 0811 driver, I purchased the driver and have since talked with Benjamin on several occasions for adjustments. I value his opinion so much that I traveled to Bentonville, Arkansas for a fitting for some new 0211 irons. He took his time and we came to the conclusion that they would benefit my game. Needless to say I purchased a set and am waiting for them to be delivered and can’t wait to try them. Awesome place, Philip Walker has reached his peak as a teaching PGA Professional. Sometimes it can be a tad humid leading to fatigue. Overall, great atmosphere for golfers hoping to improve their game.

I'd rate the place at least a Trevor Immelmann, maybe even pushing Chris Dimarco.

After reconsidering, I am bumping up my review of Back Nine Golf Academy to a 5 Star Rating--the reason-- a quick but useful adjustment of the room temperature.

The place is really becoming quite prestigious, almost pushing on the scale to about a Padraig Harrington level.

My recent knowledge of hatred for Jordan Spieth has elevated my rating to a 5 star. Air conditioner getting a touch better. Will review again in about a month.

Two years later and Back Nine Golf Academy has only risen in excellence. As it continues to be a staple of the golfing world, both domestic and abroad, one has to ponder if there’s a true ceiling to Back 9’s influence on the game of golf. Yet it raises the question of whether GOAT status will be obtained. Will it rise to the ranks of the Tigers of the world? Can it’s widespread public adoration rival that of Seve and Phil? When the sun sets on Phillip Walker’s empire, will he be sporting the green jacket alongside Nicklaus, Faldo, and above all, the great Patrick Reed? Only time will tell...

I have played this wonderful game of golf for 66 years and wanted to pass my love of the game to a granddaughter. After my teaching ability reached its limit, I needed to find the right person who could work with her. Having had multiple experiences with teaching professionals, I knew some are significantly better than others. I had the great good fortune to hear about Philip.

With her limited athletic ability and limited interest in the game, I did not know how my granddaughter would fare. To net it out, Philip improved her game from mid 90s to mid 70s and she even played a round even par. He is simply remarkable in his knowledge of the swing and exactly how to improve it. But, beyond this, he takes a burning interest in his students………… and, they recognize it. Watching him work with my granddaughter and other students was a total delight.

The short term payoff was my granddaughter was High School 7A/6A All-Conference four times and All-State three times. The long term payoff is she now loves the game and will be able to play well the rest of her life. She will carry with her wonderful, meaningful memories of the times she spent with Philip.

My expectations were unrealistic on how quickly I wanted to improve; and then I started working with Phillip - and the results were astounding and even exceeded my own aspirations. His use of constructive and informative tactics while using the onsite technology to not only explain what he is trying to convey, but how to implement the fix is best in class. Had a great lesson with Philip today he is a great teacher and would recommend him to any experience level. Very impressed with the technology he uses to teach I was able to learn much faster by watching myself make mistakes and then being shown how to correct them. When I walked in the door I was hitting my nine iron 115 yards when I left I was hitting it 150 yards consecutively I could not believe the difference in one lesson. I am very excited about golf again and look forward to future lessons! If your going to golf go see Philip you will be writing your own five star review afterwards.

I’m still new to golf and have a swing I’m not very confident in, Philip is very good at identifying the many small things it takes to make a swing better and doesn’t make you feel insecure during the process. Wonderful experience and dramatic results in just a few lessons. Phillip is an incredible instructor. The best I have ever had (and I have had plenty). He has an in depth knowledge of the science and mechanics of the golf swing which allows him to tailor the basic swing to each student. Most golf pros seem to just get you through lesson by lesson so you may get different changes or tweaks from week to week. Phillip’s lessons build off of each other until he has constructed a solid, repeatable golf swing.

He has me striking the ball in a way that I have never experienced before. I can’t wait for my next lesson!!

Outstanding facility. Philip is a very knowledgeable instructor able to analyze your swing and help you understand the necessary adjustments that need to be made. Doesn't offer bandaid adjustments but rather mechanics in your swing to achieve desired results. At 75 years of age has helped me setup for proper shoulder turn and extension thru follow through. With all the simulator and video equipment he helps you engage in the visual learning I needed to improve my swing. Have not yet been able to carry to golf course after three 30 minute sessions as weather has restricted my on course play. Look forward to breaking 3 or 4 years of bad habits.
