I liked this gym the 1st week but after the 2nd week I noticed it could use some cleaning and a lot of the equipment wasn't working so I decided it wasn't for me but when it comes to your contract (PLEASE)‼️‼️‼️ people don't make the mistake I did by not reading the contract I was told I could cancel at any time but that's only for your regular membership it doesn't apply to your personal trainer contract you only have 3 days to cancel if you don't cancel within that time frame you are stuck unless you do a buyout which will cost you hundreds of dollars at least $200 to $300 plus your trainer fees for that month and that's only if you put up a big fuss or go as low and plead & beg with them to take off some of the charges, if not it will cost even more so please take your time and read your paperwork before you sign it because they will tell you sure you can cancel at any time to your face and some will not explain the difference between the two so I had to find out the hard way but it was a well-learned lesson 😢😢😢🙏🏼

Been going here for a little over a year and it was good at first. Definitely could be cleaned more. It’s going down hill quick. 4 of 5 stair masters are always down. 3 of 4 row machines aren’t operable(been like that for almost a year). For the price you get a decent array of equipment, but it just feels like this place is falling apart. Thinking about leaving and finding something better. I’m very consistent at the gym so it may be worth it to pay a little more for a place that I can actually use the equipment.

I've been a member of this gym for years. It has started to go downhill recently. All but 1 of the stairmasters work. There's constantly signs on the cardio machines saying they are scheduled for service. The treadmills that do work have nasty gunk all over them where your phone should fit and the actually track of the treadmills are falling apart and need to be replaced for safety measures. The tvs dont work half the time on the treadmills either. One of the leg extension machines has been broken for months. They have decreased the group fitness classes offered. It's disappointing. I'm not sure what is going on but dang, get it together esporta!

Canceled my membership last year. The manager (Brittany) worked with me on canceling it since I was moving out of state. Everything was great until I noticed charges on my card from Esporta. They charged me for 3 months after I had spoken with her and cancelled due to her not updating the system. I tried to get a hold of a higher up but they kept routing all calls back to her. She eventually told me that it was basically my fault and I was only going to be reimbursed for one month of payments. I called to try and ask why but they would put me on hold for up to 10 mins then just hang up on me. The other staff was friendly but it felt like she was going out of her way to keep my two months of payments.

Great facility, but upper management needs to work on their business priorities. My wife went to this gym specifically for the early morning childcare provided. However, within two weeks they cancelled their morning childcare entirely. When my wife asked for a refund, she was told she would still have to pay 50% of her contract for cancelling.

Gym and trainers are good. Difficult to get out of membership. As a travel nurse I was in Litte Rock for a year. I made sure when I signed the contracts for membership and training that I could cancel when I moved on to my next job. After a year of membership I was allowed to cancel my membership but not my training even though there is not a club near my permanent tax home of Jonesboro or my new work location. I was told I needed a new address on my drivers license or a utility bill for my new work location. Which my drivers license is still a Jonesboro address and I travel in a camper. Therefore, I don’t have a new utility bill or receive mail at my temporary jobs. I was told that North Litte Rock gym is considered my residence even though I used my Jonesboro address on the membership and group training. I wish I would’ve gone to 10 fitness or Planet fitness since there are more locations across the US. IF YOU TRAVEL FOR WORK DON’T SIGN THEIR CONTRACTS.

Member here for over 3 years and recently cancelled. Gym cares more about $10 memberships and bringing guests than people paying them $350 a month. Contract states you aren’t allowed to train or host classes in the gym. Well if you come in before management and dodge their calls. Train and host classes all you want. One class has been coming in for the past year at 6am. Not sanctioned by esporta. Destroys the turf area so no one else can use it, kicks other members out of the green area, and then takes over the weights area. They don’t rerack anything and talk so loud I can’t even talk to my trainer who is 2ft from me. When complaints are made to management, nothing is done. When you ask to talk to regional management they are too good to talk to lowly customers and employees can’t even give out their number. Why even have regional management? Brittany in Memphis? Awful.

When the employees mention the class or ask them to clean up, they tell the employees “that’s your job” and “why they pay you.” Management is perfectly ok with their employees treated poorly by a class that violates their contract and ruins everyone’s experience.

I stuck it out because I had an awesome trainer but I couldn’t take it anymore and cancelled. You’d have a better January getting in shape by running away from this gym.

The staff 6 months ago when I started to come here it was pleasant and helpful. Today the “new” hours state the employees can close the gym a hour early as this newer employee told me. She also told me I couldn’t workout for 40 minutes because they aren’t taking anyone in new although I’m a member. Having employees like that will only drive away people and hurt those just trying to better themselves. I'm currently looking for a different gym that is willing to honor there policies and time schedule that was told to me when I signed the dotted line.

Bring Courtesy Back To The South

I've worked in the service industry for years, and anyone who has a day knows that just because your off or close at a certain time doesn't mean your on your way home when the clock strikes midnight. I've been going here for over 6 months now and have never had a problem with being denied services I pay for until now. I've always gotten in around 7:30, worked out for 2 hours, and used the sauna for about 25 mins. Last week, a new employee was agitated that she had to stay a couple of minutes late on a day I didn't even visit and she has now implemented a closing of the sauna at 9:45. I adjusted my workout, and today was on schedual to be out by that time. I guess with this new limit, she still had to stay after for a couple of minutes. Today, when I went with the intention of being done in the sauna at the time, she told me it closed last week she has changed the time to 9:30 without any notification, citing signage that did not look official that has appeared overnight. When I applied I was assured the sauna would be available until 10, but I guess they will just say anything for you to sign that dotted line and take money out of your pocket.

This gym has gone downhill. Which is odd since the other Esportas in LR are so well taken care of. It seems there isn't a standard this franchise follows. If equipment breaks, just say goodbye to it because it will not be fixed. There are currently two stair steppers that have been broken for about 6 months +. They have cleaning materials for the machines but then put the paper towels (if they even refill them) are placed far away. Majority of the members don't wipe their equipment off (especially cardio), don't rerack weights, locker rooms smells like weed and is gross. Staff doesn't seems to enforce any of the rules. The staff isn't rude by any means but don't expect a "welcome" when you walk in or "have a nice day" when you leave. It's sad because when you go to chenal it's like a different franchise.
Update: More machines broken but none of the previous has been fixed.

The management “does not honor health plans that include spousal inclusion memberships”. I love the amenities of Esporta and that there are other options besides weights. However, it's severely lacking in a few areas. The biggest one being operating hours. The week hours aren't too terrible. 8 am-10 pm is reasonable. The weekend hours suck. 8 am to 6 pm? Pretty much implies everyone is off on weekends and change up their workout schedule. But to really work with everyone's schedule, it would be amazing if it was 24 hours. 10 fitness moved to this schedule awhile back, giving people scan in access after a certain time and that opens up options for a lot of folks. In addition to the hours, they could really do with some updated equipment and water bottle fillers. Everyone bring their own water bottles now. It's really a pain trying to fill them from a water fountain.

All in all, I love the options of weights, racquetball, basketball, and even a pool/spa. Kids Club is a really good perk (but could use some kind of notification system for if it's closed for some reason). The cardio equipment having it's own individual tv screens is a nice addition, too. If this gym was 24 hours, it'd be the only gym I belonged to. And I could probably drag some people with me.

I showed up at the gym at 530 to sit in the sauna for a few minutes and the doors were already locked. I believe the gym may have closed at 6 i didn’t know so I tapped the door lightly. Someone walked past & the guy at the desk was just sitting there when it only would’ve taken 2 seconds to tell me the gym was closing soon. Saying anything would be better instead of having me sit out in the cold.

I am only here for 2 weeks for training. I signed up for the free 3 day pass. I get here about 4pm and it's not very busy at all at this time. I'm able to hit all the machines, cardio equipment, cables, free weights that I want. It starts to get busy about 5:30 PM. That's when it gets rather difficult to have access to whatever machine you're needing. But the great thing about this place is that it has multiples of the same exercise equipment. Almost double od everything. There's 2 floors: top floor is all the cardio equipment while the bottom floor is all the rest of the machines and free weights. The gym itself is relatively clean and there's paper towels and sanitizer to clean up. I say check this place out!

The new manager is very rude. I was told last year when signed up my guests can use all facilities but recently the new staff kicked my friends out and said its not true even if the websites says so. They acted in a rude manner and was very insulting. I canceled membership after basketball was closed for almost a month and when open they would turn the lights off hours before closing while people were playing. Switched to local business 10 fitness.

The Esporta_Fitness in NLR has gone all gangster on people accusing some of training people.

Not sure what's up but, one of the employees in North Little Rock kicked my friend out, and accused him of training when he wasn't.

He was just telling a friend (60 yr old lady) about some exercises she could do. They kicked him out and then canceled his account.

She's was crying when she left the gym so we don't know WHAT the eSPorta employee said to her, or accused her of.

Have to say this location is getting a bad rap for terrible customer service and now insulting customers.

Update: It seems that ESporta rectified the situation and the problem employees are no longer employed at this location. Adjusting my rating.

Paid over $1000 for personal training, trainers would reschedule, give 30 min instead of hour sessions, not give diet plan promised, not even use journal they provide, then when trainers quit they didn’t even reach out to clients. The gentleman at the front desk was very helpful setting up my account. Since then, no one who works there has ever spoken to me, not even to say hello or goodbye when I enter or leave. No one cleans any of the machines after use. Cleaner and towels are sitting on a table by the machines, presumably so clients can clean them themselves. Today a gentleman got on a machine behind me and then began coughing like crazy. With the recent upswing in Arkansas of new COVID cases, it seems like someone would have spoken to him. The staff seems to have forgotten that this is a customer based business. The gym itself is well equipped and not all that busy. But the pool is dirty.

I stopped coming to this gym last March when restrictions went into place. I contacted them and canceled. They called me and said my account was on hold. This gym is over priced. This gym charges 40 - 60 dollars a month not including the 50 dollars annual fees you get billed. The thing I hate is being a new member your billed an annual fee. This happens the third month of you getting signed up. So you have to put down at least 100 dollars. Then next month pay 40-60 dollars then on your third month pay 50 dollars... ummmm that’s 269 dollars in three months.. the gym does not have CrossFit gym inside, no heavy bags, no hack squat, no places to perform deadlifts, no place to push Weighted sleigh, this gym does not even have a real pull up bar.. this gym has very basic equipment. Not to mention the gym charges you that much and doesn’t even stay open for 24 hours.. I paid 30 a month at 24 hours fitness in the west coast and they key word is 24 hour fitness and they had better equipment and Sunna. Not to mention the Sanna isn’t all that. It takes a long tile for it to get hot... your much better off going to 10 fitness or any gym that’s 10 a month... this gym is only here cause they or taking people’s money. By the time you realize your over paying its to late. The membership is almost the same if your were going to a CrossFit gym... keep your money go somewhere else

This was a great gym to visit during a work trip. It doesn’t get very busy during the evenings and the staff keep it very clean. They have a good selection of benches, weights, and machines. The only reason I didn’t give it a five is because it gets extremely warm and stuffy. They need a better ventilation system. Lol

Good facility but don’t join their coaching program. It’s a scam. Have been a member since they opened and enjoy going there. Unfortunately can not say the same for their coaching program , it locks you into a contract. Good luck trying to schedule a session or cancelling.

The gym area is nice, but if it's humid outside it's extremly hot and the little fans up in the loft do not circulate the air.

Giving a lower review, however, because when I asked to cancel, they cancelled my account only and continued charging for my spouse. It was pretty clear I wanted to *cancel* not half cancel, and if the worker who originally handled the request was confused, he should have asked to clarify instead of continuing to charge us for a single membership.
