Coach Rodney is amazing. There is no mistaking the love he has for this sport. My son has been doing this for about 5 months now and he has improved more than I thought possible. The respect and love Coach shows to ALL who come to this gym is what this world needs. Worth every penny spent.

Scammer will steal your money. I used to love boxing here more than anything. When I switched to the year membership from month to month he made me pay cash and took it out of my account as well so double charged me $100. Never made it right even though I have 20 texts of him saying he would.

Got so fed up I cancelled my membership and because I had to move back home from covid… the billing company stopped drafting out of my account after I sent in the necessary info. 1 year later I get a bill in the mail for over $1000 as I had already been sent to the debt collectors without even contacting me, I wasn’t even aware there was a problem. Be careful with this scammer. He makes you think you’re important but he just wants your money. I know more than myself that this has happened too….

Rodney is a fantastic coach. He has been so supportive with my kid, who decided a few months ago that he wanted to compete in boxing. Rodney tells him honestly where he needs to work on improving and he didn't just take our money and throw him to the wolves. Coach wants his boxers to succeed. He isn't just trying to get people in the door and get more money. And he doesn't pressure anyone to compete. He lets his boxers tell them when they are ready and go at their own pace. We have been going to his gym a little over a year now, with a few months off when things got too busy. We started with a month to month, which we ended up canceling (and yes, we had to call and talk with the billing company, but it wasn't hard ) and when we were ready to go back we decided to sign up for the year plan. I couldn't see us going to any other gym.

I'd like to start by saying I liked Rodney. I thought he was a decent guy who seemed overall good company. Joined for a year commitment and a month to month no commitment charge for one extra boxer. After about 5 months it started to become hard to make his class times we had to cancel. We didn't like that he doesn't have enough weights and equipment for the class size anyways. So At first we asked what the cancelation was for the year commitment. He said $300 which we were shocked. Rodney then offered to look at our previous payments made and reconsider lower cancellation fee. He said he'd get back with us. We never heard back from him, so we called again and again to continue to resolve it he continued to push it down the road with excuses. We texted back and forth in-between calling contact. Nearly a month passed of him not contacting us back and still not having information when we talked. Meanwhile during this our automatic payment fees continued to be charged along with supposed annual year fees we haven't even been there for half a year. After we attempted many times to resolve it with him and getting no where we cancelled our payments with our bank. We never heard from him. Nearly 6months later we got a letter from a collection agency in Utah saying GILLESPIE BOXING states we owe over $600. I just became aware of a couple posts about Gillespie Boxing avoiding cancelling memberships. All details regarding this information and our conversations with the owner Rodney trying to cancel have been documented. We're obviously in the process of disputing Gillespie Boxing allegations. I would reconsider GILLESPIE BOXING unless you have an attorney on speed dial.

Great atmosphere, you get what you put out. If you stay consistent you will get results. Coach Gillespie is a great all around person. I've been working out for 8 months and have enjoyed every minute.

We have tried to cancel our “Month to Month” plan, we were referred to the third party billing service only to find out they can’t help us either. Currently needing an agreement number that the boxing club seems to know nothing about. I guess we send in our letter and hope for the best. Seems that a scam is taking place. I will review with the verdict and let everyone know if we get robbed of another month’s service that we have tried to cancel.

Their third party billing company is trash!!! And is billing us for money that is NOT owed to them and when I called for help with the matter, I was told that there was nothing they could do!!! Horrible service, horrible management. My son loved the coach but it's not worth all the ruckus of being told I owe $500 when I called and canceled and wrote a letter. I thought for sure the matter would be resolved when I called to speak to Coach Rodney but instead, I was told by a rude manager that there was nothing they could do. Ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Started only recently but I put my two sons in it for totally different reasons. My oldest needs to stand up for himself and the other has high energy and sensory processing disorder. They both love the coach and the sport so far. Me and my husband are impressed!
