I’m an immediate fan! From out of town and needed a gym for early morning weekend workouts. Super simple online process for a day pass with phone checkin in site. Equipment is decent and yes as others have said possibly an issue when busy with a single option for a few things but it’s a cool spot, good vibe. Will return if in town again.

Since Ozark Iron Gym seems like a straightforward, community-oriented gym. I had set up my brother as my dependent. Then you guys said instantly cancelled and then banned us from the gym together, no problem… but you have rules that say that in your policy and other then that the gym and staff is a more strict business and it’s a overall good gym environment!

I worked out here before moving out of the NWA area. Now that I’ve moved back I realize how much this gym stands out compared to others in the area. It has everything you could ask for in a weightlifting gym.

Great gym. Open 24/7 they have multiple cable machines for when it's busy. A machine to hit every muscle you could want. The staff is friendly if you want to chat. Leaves you alone if you want to focus on your workout. Every time I've asked to work in with someone they have been accommodating. Good monthly price for the amount of equipment at your disposal. Locally owned business.

I was a member of this gym for four years. Early on in my time at the gym I saw an awesome strength sport community (powerlifting, strongman, weightlifting) and I wanted to be part of it and develop as an athlete.
However, over the past two years, I’ve watched as the gym has slowly mistreated and displaced the larger strength community. There were instances of significant amounts of strength sport-specific training equipment removed, refusing to hold meets/competitions that the owner was previously in support of, cancelling peoples membership without proper notice, unwillingness to directly communicate with members, and hostility towards members who had inquiries of the direction the gym was going. I was generally not treated respectfully as a long-time patron or human by the owner or employees.
If you train for general fitness or bodybuilding, this gym is still ideal for you. There is a wide variety of equipment on that front. However, if you are looking to become a strong athlete and find a supportive gym community that stands out in Northwest Arkansas, I’m very sorry to say that this is not your spot anymore.
Edit: In response to the owner. It is very disappointing to be reminded that when women are direct and confrontational that we are then perceived as “threatening”, having an “attitude”, or “entitled rotten egg”. If someone had informed me that my inquires on equipment had been hurtful to them I would have welcomed the opportunity to apologize and talk it through. Your adamancy of your willingness to talk to members about gym decisions and rectifying behavior is not truthful, as I never received direct correspondence from you or staff about my communication.
I would never have spoken down to or “cussed out” a child. This is severely inaccurate. Again, if I had known that my inquires were hurtful to anyone I would have been happy to apologize and have a honest discussion on intentions. I continue to be open to offering my apologizes and clear up any hard feelings. I sincerely apologize for any bad blood and that my comments have caused. I am also sorry that my questions were perceived as a personal attack, as that was not my intention.

I bought a week pass to continue strength training while traveling for the holidays. Normally, I work out in my home gym and I hadn’t been in a commercial gym for years due to bad experiences in gyms when I was younger. One of the reasons I felt comfortable enough to visit was the third gym rule they have on their website: “Don’t be a creepy weirdo pervert. She’s here to lift. She’s not here for you.” And, no one was a creepy weirdo pervert to me (or any of the other women I saw at the gym.)
While some of the pads on the machines were wearing down (like the preacher curl machine), most everything was in great condition. The number of power cages, deadlift platforms, and benches meant I never had to wait to do compound work. And while I had to wait for a lat machine to free up once, I didn’t have to wait for most machines because they had duplicates or functionally similar machines (e.g., standing calf raise machine vs seated calf raise machine).
Whenever I’m back in the area, I’ll definitely come back 💪

Joining this gym has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
When I first visited, I felt really intimidated. Everyone seemed so focused and serious about their workouts, and I was worried I wouldn’t fit in. For years, I had been a member of a large chain gym where people came inconsistently and rarely saw any real progress. This place felt completely different.
Initially, this made me feel self-conscious—especially since I was overweight and unsure of what I was doing. I was convinced that people would think I looked out of place or didn’t belong.
But I was pleasantly surprised to find that the community here is genuinely supportive and welcoming. Once I dropped my insecurities and started focusing on my own progress, I realized that no one judged me based on my size or how much weight I could lift. Mainly because they were focusing on their own progress too.
The gym itself is always well-maintained, and the owner really listens to the community’s feedback. There’s a constant flow of new equipment, and it’s clear there’s a genuine commitment to providing the best possible environment and equipment for members.
Whether you’re just starting your fitness journey or looking to level up, this is the perfect place to train—especially for women! They don’t tolerate creepy behavior at all and will genuinely kick anyone out who makes others uncomfortable. (I’ve never met someone who has been kicked out without deserving it.)
The atmosphere is motivating, and now I see that the dedication of everyone around me isn’t intimidating, but rather motivating. It’s inspiring to be surrounded by people who are not only serious about their goals but also know how to enjoy the process. Since joining, I’ve lost 35 pounds and I am back at a healthy weight for my size.
I highly recommend this gym to anyone looking for a motivating place to make real progress with people who are genuinely cheering you on.

Been going here for a year, really awesome gym. Owner clearly cares about members and wants to improve in areas when needed, i.e. recent additions to legs equipment. Only gripe I have is the increased day pass rate and the removal of free friend passes on Fridays, doesn't really affect me but I do like bringing my buds on Fridays for a good way to end the week.

$20 for a day pass is bananas.
Edit to respond: I did use the gym. The day pass price toward membership thing was explained to me. Regardless, the day pass price tag is still too high. About 100% too high, 10$ is reasonable. The equipment as in desperate need of a refresh. Gym is organized but does not feel especially clean. No one wipes equipment. Atmosphere? Meat Heads R Us. Lots of shirtless bros. Not that I mind that part too much. Gym is 3.5 stars, asinine day pass price brought it down to two.

I’ve been visiting NW Arkansas since late March ‘24. I wanted a no-nonsense local gym where I could continue to work on my goals. I found this spot on Google Maps and stopped by to check it out. Coming from LA, I was blown away by how much equipment and space there was at OIG. I never had to wait for a station because there’s just so many available. I hit new PRs on a couple exercises during my few months here, in part because I never had to change my plan due to unavailable equipment.
The staff were great - particularly Jacob, who was always available to answer questions about my membership, or to help me learn about different equipment or exercises. And they play solid music, which is a bonus.
If you’re looking for a no-nonsense gym where you can just work out and get back to whatever’s going on in your life - this is the place. Highly recommend.

Very happy with this gym, all the equipment you'll ever need without the fluff and there's hardly ever a wait for machines or weights. I'd say my only complaint is there is no grace period if your payment does not go through for the month for whatever reason and the billing company tacks on a $15 late charge regardless of the time, so it's more like a bounce fee/nsf charge than a late fee. Other than that, great gym, always clean and updating their equipment with nothing broken.

I really did not want to have to write this review… I was a member at Ozark for 3 years. I am rating this gym 1 star. I am taking the average of two categories to derive this rating. 1. The gym and 2. The Management. The gym gets 4 stars, and the management gets -2 stars. I took the average to get a 1-star total.
The gym is cool and has everything you would ever need. I have enjoyed working out here for the past 3 years. I began my membership here because I wanted to support a small business. I could have easily taken my money and joined another gym for about ¼ of the monthly membership cost but then again, I wanted to support a veteran owned small business. Unfortunately, the sunshine and rainbows end there.
The management at this gym heavily lacks professionalism and business ethics. You would think a veteran owned business would prioritize these qualities but that unfortunately is not the case here. You can see the lack of professionalism and respect in the Google Review responses from the owner as well as many of the Instagram posts. If you’re not a member of the small powerlifting circle at this gym, you can kiss all respect and kindness goodbye.
My last straw with this gym stemmed from my latest incident. Long story short, I was charged a $15 late penalty for an error that was beyond my scope of control and occurred on Ozark’s end. I have all of the proving transactions through my CC. When Ozark changed billing software’s, my payment info was switched to an old card of mine that expired. It was not the card on file prior to the software change. I called Ozark and after some investigating, I was informed that it was a late penalty for my card getting declined (due to an OLD card that hadn’t been on file prior to the software change.) To my surprise, I was told that they could not do anything about it nor offer me a $15 credit for the following month. They did mention it is a fee charged to them by the billing software agency and they do not collect the fee charged, but I’d expect them to make it right and at least offer me a credit since it was beyond my scope of control. Now, I am being charged $15 from Ozark due to an error on their end and beyond my personal control. Personally, it’s not a money issue but more so a matter of business ethics and principle. I contacted the Better Business Bureau regarding this transaction. This must’ve made Will (the owner) very upset because this resulted in him cancelling my membership altogether. It is comical that they receive a complaint, then cancel a customer’s membership, especially after 3 years. No big deal though, I would rather give my money to a business that respects their clients.
A business’s customer base is their single most important aspect of their business. A successful business shows respect and tries to work out solutions with their customers. Unfortunately for Ozark, this is far from the truth. With Crunch being so close, one would expect them to keep their customers happy. With many new gyms coming to the area (The Forum Barbell in early 2024), Ozark will be a small fish in a big ocean. They need to get their act together if they want to stay in business. I know I am not the only one that shares the same complaints. If you’re a college student, I would advise looking elsewhere. I am sure the owner will leave some arrogant and smart aleck response, but to each their own.

In almost 30 years of working out i've never been in a gym this good. The free weights in here are unmatched by anything i've ever seen before. I don't even know how many bench presses and power racks there are but probably 15 or more of each. Lifting platforms in the back and dumbbells up to 150 lbs. There are more free weight pieces of equipment in here than most commercial chains have across their entire nationwide gym chains combined. As with any quality gym there is a board with members lift records. Wish I lived here to be able to train at this gym more often.

I had the pleasure of visiting this gym while traveling for work. Im able to visit many different gyms on my travels and I can happily say ; I was lucky to have found Ozark Iron.
This isn't your LA, Crunch, or Esporta, and I'm sure that's the way the owner and members like it.
Ozark Iron is successfully keeping alive that old school appeal that has been lost in recent times. Though, I have to say, it is not old school in the sense the equipment is old and rusty and the owner doesn't want to put any money into it, so the gym just claims "old school". No, Ozark Iron has all the appeal and the equipment to match: all the deadlift platforms, squat racks, cables, free weights, machines, and open space you would need to get in a great work out.
Additionally, i can happily say: this is not the place where you have to worry about Addison and Tristen side eyeing you like you just knocked over their starbucks non fat extra froth latte "pre work out" because you grunted mid set and your tomato-red head looks likes it gonna pop off bc your actually putting in some work.- throw a scoop of RYSE in there Tristen and join the party. No, This feels like a place that respects the grind and welcomes the struggle.
From PR's written on the walls in chalk, soon to be erased and re-written I'm sure, to chalk hand prints 10ft up the wall(BTW Ozark who TF u got there jumping that high lol) to the friendly and inviting staff( I was there on a Tuesday night for the lady and gentleman that were very kind and excited about where they worked)- This gym screams pride in the progress. No frills, just what u need to get gritty.
So if your in the area, I suggest you give this place a visit, put in some work, and start writting your name up on that wall.
Great gym, great experience. Thank you staff, and thank you Ozark Iron. I will be back.

I supported this gym since I first moved to NWA, recommended it to everyone who was looking for a great place to workout and even posted it on my social media accounts. I had nothing but incredible experiences with the staff and all of the members, then one day I came in to workout after having been gone for months and found out I was banned.
I was extremely embarrassed, but I am a small time celebrity in some circles, and I have stalkers who have gone to businesses before and have made complaints about me, so I politely left and asked for the owner to contact me so I could resolve the issue. The complaint stated that I had been harassing women, which never happened. Again, I hadn’t even been there for months prior to the complaint, so I assumed it was just a simple misunderstanding.
Since then I have reached out to try to resolve the issue again and I have been refused.
I understand that a private business has every right to refuse service, so I’m not upset at all by their decision to keep me out. What I am saddened by is the complete lack of professional courtesy. I am a combat veteran and a father who believes in direct communication.
My intent in writing this review is not to ruin anyone’s business, but rather to let other people that are considering going here know how disrespectfully and poorly conflict is handled in this gym.
Conflict is commonplace in gyms like this and I hope that it is handled better in the future.

Staff are always nice, and don’t mind giving you tips or even helping you with a spot. Place is kept clean. If weightlifting is what you are coming for no other place in the area comes close to this gym in terms of quality. Cardio section is a bit underwhelming but easily worth the trade off in weights. Also the owner is a nice and down to Earth guy. The only recommendations I would make would be granting 24/7 access to members, but I understand there could be limiting factors that make that difficult or not possible. Overall this is easily my favorite gym in the area.

I moved away and have been searching for a new gym. Through my searching I realized how great of a gym Ozark Iron is. The price point can’t be beat. I also loved the vibe and community I witnessed. I felt like people literally went to ozark to hangout with their friends and get big- it was awesome to see. I’m just an average guy who likes to stay in decent shape but this gym will cater to those who are more serious. Power lifting, body building, casual weight lifting, Functional fitness, this is the place you need to go. Lots of barbell equipment and space to deadlift, which is must for me. In previous gyms I've had to wait on the one squat rack. The presence of the gigaChads working on their PRs is very motivating (read: I finish my workout as fast as I can before anyone notices how scrawny I am lol). The gym also plays good music over the speakers, so if I forget my headphones I'm not stuck trying to max out my deadlift to Billy Joel! There's no AC, but something tells me this is a feature, not a bug. I give this gym a 10, which is also my one-rep max for the bench press.

I’m not sure about you, but being able to turn on whatever song you want and have it blasted, beats headphones any day of the week.

Decided I would wait a couple months before I gave this gym a review. In the FAYETTEVILLE area most gyms want to sign you to long term contracts. This is the only gym that gave me a fair month to month price, which I needed because I am not from the area and am not sure how long I will be here. It's nice, the staff is nice and the equipment is even nicer. Everything you really need for a good powerlifting workout is here and there are always nice gym goers and staff that will spot you or answer questions if you have any. Also at certain parts of the day there are awesomely strong people that will let you hop in on a set with them and even give you advice on improving. Was pleasantly surprised. Overall great gym and good atmosphere for lifting and exercising.

Was in town for work and dropped in on my way to go hiking. Unreal atmosphere here. Super positive, people smashing PRs and having a good time. Plus only a 5$ drop in! Wish every gym was like this.

I recently moved to Denver, CO and realized I had never written a review for this awesome gym. I wish there was one just like it here!
Seriously the best gym in the entire state of Arkansas. You won't find a more committed owner who puts your money to good use. New equipment is consistently added and maintained. Staff is on top of the cleanliness of the gym. The members here are extremely supportive and create a motivating environment. My only regret is that I can't give more than 5 stars.

You're missing out if you go to any other gym in NWA. Extremely nice layout with plenty of equipment/benches/racks for everyone. I've been going religiously for two years now and I can say Will created something special here for sure. Might look intimidating from the outside but I promise everyone is extremely friendly and willing to give advice.

I had previously given this gym a bad review on account of the fact that my membership was terminated by an employee because I had left weights out on more than one occasion; having grown up in a private gym, this was a habit which I had formed, and I did it unconsciously. I would have corrected the habit if I had been made aware of my actions on more than one occasion -- of course, being unconscious of doing something means that one does not know when he is doing it. This is why it would have been nice if it had been brought to my attention more than once.
I still think the termination was unjustified for the following reasons: [i] I was only approached about it once; [ii] I was given no warning leading into the termination; [iii] if either (i) had occurred again, or if (ii) had occurred at all, I would have been inclined to correct the habit. Instead, a particular employee used every violation in order to accumulate evidence against me (taking pictures, etc.), which he used to justify the termination. I do not know if the evidence was authentic (because, as I said, if I left weights again, I did so habitually and unconsciously). So, I think that the gym would benefit from a "warning system". After a member violates one of Ozark Iron Gym's three rules, they receive a penalty (maybe more than one for the third rule); after a set number of penalties, their subscription is terminated. Otherwise, the choice is the whim of an employee such as the one who terminated my own subscription.
Notwithstanding, after exchanging emails with the owner of the gym, I do not think he made the decision, or else was convinced by the employee who gathered the "evidence". Seeing as the employee is likely only working here temporarily, and is the only person responsible for the premature termination, I will leave him out of account. I would rather support a classical style gym (as rare as they are) that allow an expendable employee to shed a negative light upon it.
The subtracted star is for the lack of a proper "warning system". If I ever find out that one has been added, I will edit the review for a 5-star.

I recently had to move to Dallas and wish I could've taken this place with me. You won't find a better powerlifting-friendly gym and better atmosphere with the best quality equipment in NWA. The owner, Will, knows how to run the place and always keeps everything in top shape. Him and the other staff always take care of everyone and are very friendly. Before walking in this place I didn't know how to lift properly or know what a proper gym should be. Now I find myself judging every other gym here in Dallas using Ozark as a standard. Join this place and change your life and your expectations!

Good weightlifting gym. No gerbil machines or immodestly dressed women, although one guy had his shirt off. Seriously, dude you can still do cable crossovers with a tank top. Needs a second set of dumbbells. Plenty of benches

Y'all... Ozark Iron Gym is legit. When you walk in it looks and feel like a meat head gym, but then you see the Power Hour class that is a mix of weights and cardio full of young women; many of whom are on the dance team at the U of A. And get this: none of the men were oogling them. The guys were all super focused on their workouts, and paying no attention to the beautiful women in yoga pants. It has an incredibly friendly and inviting atmosphere. They've got great trainers, and all of the equipment you could ever hope for.

Probably the coolest gym in that area. Not that packed, great new equipment, owner is pretty much the nicest guy ever, and the place is SUPER clean. If you are a real lifter you will definitely go here. It's not as large, but it's got everything you need for a solid workout.

My wife and I have been to multiple gyms in NWA and none have felt like home until we got to Ozark Iron. Everybody here is serious about training and it all starts with the owner. He listens to what people say about equipment and he actually puts money back into the gym in the form of new equipment and bars. Couldn't be happier. Ozark Iron's worst bar is still better than most gyms best bar.

This gym is easily the best around Fayetteville. In my 4 years in NWA, I used the HPER at the University, Powerhouse before it went under, Fitness 4 Less, and World's Gym, but Ozark Iron Gym was hands-down the best experience I have ever had at a gym.
To start, Will, the owner, is an extremely friendly guy and cares about creating an amazing atmosphere for his members; he can often be found at the gym and is easy to approach and converse with. The equipment in this gym is in excellent condition. Moreover, no matter what type of program you are on, Ozark Iron Gym has the equipment. Plenty of squat and bench racks, two platforms for deadlifts or clean and jerks, farmer's and yoke carry equipment, and Atlas Stones.
Finally, the monthly membership dues are top notch for the value. I recently moved out of state and, to join an equivalent gym, I need to pay double or more. So, whether you are looking for your very first gym or you are considering switching, I highly encourage you to swing by and take a look around. You won't regret it.

Love this gym, it's full of serious lifters I never have to wait to use equipment because there's plenty of benches and machines for everyone. Once people are done with their sets they move on so the next person can use the equipment. Also very knowledgeable athletes in there that help with the gym to host lifting competitions for the gym. Brand new equipment, the gym is kept clean and friendly staff.

I've only been going here for the past 3 weeks and I already consider it the best gym I've ever been to. Will who is the owner is a super chill dude, you can tell by just having a conversation with him that he cares about giving people a great place to lift and get in shape as opposed to just filling his pockets with cash.
The gym is great and there's the right amount of equipment to do what you need to do, plenty of press stations, squat racks, dumbbells, etc. And he's adding more soon. All in all, I give it 5 stars without hesitation, can't thank Will enough for providing such a great atmosphere to workout in!
