DIRTY GYM. FOUNTAIN HAD FOOD THAT SOMEONE SPIT OUT IN AND LEFT. I CAME BACK THE NEXT DAY IT WAS STILL THERE. I WENT TO THE STAFF TO BRING IT TO THEIR ATTENTION. 10 MINUTES LATER THE BOTH OF THEM WERE AT THE FOUNTAIN.. I WENT BACK TO THE FOUNTAIN BEFORE I LEFT AND THE FOOD WAS TILL THERE. My son joined this facility while attending college, after leaving the state we have attempted to cancel the membership for 3 months. Calling the office has resulted in refusals to end the charges, they direct you to the website which will not allow a log-in, they keep charging the card on file with no way to terminate. Once they have your bank or credit card info you are trapped. BEWARE when giving them your banking info!

The only complaint that I have and it is a big complaint to me. There are no handicap parking spots in front of the building. You have to go around the end of the building in the last two appear to be handicapped and also more handicapped at one end of the the parking lot. I will never understand that, You could put the spots up front like all other businesses I’ve had a spinal cord injury and I use a walker to get into the gym to work out to regain my strength. What is the problem with planet fitness?

We joined Planet Fitness primarily because it's the closest gym to home and reasonably priced—ideal for someone who may not make it in every day but still wants access to equipment when the mood or motivation strikes.

The facility is impressively clean and doesn’t carry the usual gym odor, which is a definite plus. Since some staffing changes were made at the front desk, the overall vibe has improved—it feels more organized and less chaotic than when I initially considered joining.

That said, there are a few things worth noting for those considering a membership. While Planet Fitness promotes itself as a Judgement Free Zone, that culture doesn’t always carry over to the members. As someone who used to compete at a semi-professional bodybuilding level and is now rebuilding after a major life loss, I’ve been met with some puzzling side-eyes and unwelcoming energy from a younger crowd. It’s disappointing and counterproductive to the gym’s mission.

Another persistent issue is cell phone use on the workout floor—not calls, but people sitting on machines scrolling endlessly through social media between sets for 10-15 minutes. It creates unnecessary bottlenecks and shows a lack of consideration for others waiting to complete their workouts. When I politely asked someone if I could “work in,” a standard practice in gym etiquette, I was met with a look of utter confusion and a deep sigh followed by a quip, "I have one more set and you can wait." Then said person took a selfie and kept scrolling on whatever social media platform they were on at that moment.

I’d strongly recommend that Planet Fitness revisit its floor policies regarding phone use. Even simple signage or staff reminders could help reinforce a more respectful, shared gym culture.

In short: this location is clean, affordable, and convenient, but there’s room for improvement when it comes to fostering a truly inclusive and considerate workout environment.

This is such a great atmosphere and always positive vibes. I never feel ashamed or embarrassed for being an older out of shape lady just doin mah best. The staff is always so encouraging and non-judgemental. The equipment is easy to use, it's never too crowded, the facilities are clean and the other patrons are polite and diverse. I love love LOVE being able to treat myself to a massage and tan after a good workout- black card is the BEST! PF is my new *good* habit. See ya tomorrow 😘

I can’t fully describe in words how amazing this place is. The floor is immaculate, plenty of equipment and well spread out. it’s clean clearly because the staff takes pride in their work and ownership of their jobs. That’s the easy part for a gym. The hard part is what they’re actually better at than anywhere else. The environment is welcoming, warm, and inclusive. Seeing the staff know so many on a first name basis makes you really feel like part of a gym family. You can’t fabricate that feeling and it makes me motivated to show up each time.

The hardest part is showing up, and knowing you’re seen creates an accountability and responsibility to show up for them. I’m not just showing up to reach my goals I’m arriving for my new found community.

Credit to the management for embracing and supporting this approach. That behavior could change the industry and I have to believe it’s by design. I haven’t been to many other PFs but if this is the standard, kudos to becoming the chik fil a service approach for the gym world.

If you’re looking for a new place to work out or feel like you need something different this should be your new home. My days better when I know that I’m going to improve my body and it always starts with “welcome in”

This place is typically pretty solid, but the guys working Sunday afternoon kinda suck.
3 different paper towel dispensers empty, 1 spray bottle empty with nothing attached to the top, bathroom is a mess, and they’re just sitting on their phones up front.

Inquired about this gym one day earlier this week, (couldn’t workout at the time) but was told by an associate there I could get a day pass anytime to try it out. I haven’t been to a gym in over 12 years, and just moved here so I was trying out various gyms to see which one was the right fit before joining. This weekend, I decided to go check out my “one day pass”, and when I came in the Associate Manager looked at me like I was crazy. He also asked me several times “who told me that”. Then sighed very rudely and said “I guess “We don't do any day passes, but I guess I’ll give you one.” He seemed very annoyed, shook his head several times while he “signed me up” (which took 30 seconds) and it was quite awkward.
Side note, other gyms have been very happy to give out a day or even week pass to try their gym and amenities before signing up.
The associate manager did not proceed to ask if I would like a tour or ask me any further questions. I think he assumed I was just trying to “use” the gym, when I was actually checking out the place to see how it compared to some other gyms. Obviously, bc of the way I was treated, I def won’t go back, which is sad, bc it seemed like a really nice gym. The equipment was nicer than other places and the layout was easy to navigate.

The men’s locker room consistently smells really really really bad! This hasn’t been the case at other PF locations I’ve visited. Obviously it’s a men’s room and is going to smell, but this smell is something extraordinary. Something bad is going on in there. That being said, I do feel like I lift better at this gym. One theory is the locker room acts as some sort of organic long lasting smelling salt that fuels my workouts and increases my gains. This would be pretty cool but, I would still prefer a less pungent locker room and I’m hopeful that the smell will be subdued and kept at a more reasonable potency in the near future. Aside from that it’s a great gym!

This paragraph is an edit to my original post above. I posted my original review about a month ago and in that post I pointed out how the men’s locker room smelled pretty bad. Probably not even a week after I wrote this the stench in the men’s locker room was gone! Not sure if it was in response to my comment or just routine maintenance but Thanks PF! I’ve been working out for a while now. But turns out I don’t know everything lol. Mrs. Tuesday (the trainer) lead me to that conclusion. I scheduled an Appointment with her one time and it actually changed my whole perspective on the gym and how I workout. Her friendly character and caring personality is a great benefit to her strict and honest trainer side. To have someone who knows what she’s doing and knows how to TEACH it is HUGE! I’m gonna be honest I was thinking about switching gyms to forum because I prefer free weights but I have the training class a try and I like the one on one disciplined and instructive training Mrs. Tuesday provides. I’m gonna be staying around, I wish I knew about the personal training long time ago.

It all starts with the HydroMassage. I have been travelling and the shower is nice and private. I also keep up the tanning with their stand up tanning equipment. It usually isn't too crowded because they are 24/7 in Fayetteville, AR. But I go to PF everywhere I go including Hawaii. Kona and Honolulu!

This place sucks, it says open 24/7 and when I went into the one on Weddington in Fayetteville Arkansas I went in one early morning and wanted to use only the Hydro massage machine because I have the black card membership and I’m allowed to use it however many times I wanted to there’s no one else using the equipment so I try to go two times and once I try to go the third time, the guy was like you can’t do these Anymore so obviously I’m furious because all I wanted was a Hydro massage because I paid for the service not only that I try to cancel my membership and it seems Thing to do, especially since it automatically takes payment off my account so planet fitness you guys suck and will always suck

August 27,2024 at 1:40 pm my wife , son and I entered the gym. We was immediately approached and laughed at by brooke the front desk worker. She ask if “ that was a baby in the stroller” And laughted at us. My wife and I asked her” what was funny?” We just wanted to use the tanning bed and massage chairs. we were willing to take turns and wait with our son in the corner. Then the manager Darmaine comes and tells us the “ baby is not allowed on the property“. Dramaine was extremely rude and disrespectful. He begin to threaten us with the police for standing up for our son. We never once course or used abusive threatening language towards the staff. He called the cops on my wife and I Simply for standing up for our son. When the cops arrived He mentioned to us “he personally have had problems with DRAMAINE at planet fitness.“ Dramaine has done this to other people in the past that he doesn’t like or see eye to eye with! He even lied to us and said “ im not gunna trespass you guys. “ he lied! Dramaine had us criminal trespass from the planet fitness on weddington. How is this judgement free? Sunday morning and the place was surprisingly busy though not much going on with the Thirty Minute circuit and was able to have a good workout, uninterrupted.

Locker room was clean. Shower area was okay though it did need some cleaning. Not my favorite layout for showers with just a single space and a curtain that is not quite wide enough. But it worked okay and there was enough water do get clean. Slippery floor, though.

Not my favorite PF in my travels but I would work out here again when I'm next in NWA.

The best gym at an unbeatable price with free workout classes included! I've been working with their trainer Tuesday for about a year now and she is absolutely incredible. She works with you on what you want to improve and always has new exercises to incorporate. Front desk staff is always kind and welcoming and says "have a good day" as I leave the gym. They have top-notch customer service and this is one of the best gyms I've ever been to.

I only come here out of convenience. The showers are on the cold/cool side than hot/warm. Myself and a few other ladies have complained about the cod showers and we were told a reason. For another 2 weeks, nothing changed. Then for the last week, I had a hot one every day (I take less than a 5 min shower while here). Now we are back to 2 days in a row of cold showers again. I was the only one taking one during the time I was there, because the shower stalls were all dry. I have also taken them while someone else was in another stall. It doesn't matter when, it's still the same. And for as long as I've gone here (few years) I am either the only one taking a shower within a 30 min time frame or there have been 2 other ladies as well. It's not like there are 6 ladies all taking showers within a 30 min time frame. Just makes no sense. And the dressing rooms still need to be swept. And they are not swept every day.
