The planet fitness in Russellville Arkansas is not a 24 hour gym. It doesn't have good business hours like it should and was close down at 7 p.m on Halloween. Im ending my membership with them, just not exceptable for what I pay every month.

They have a problem with their billing cycles and do not notify you when a payment is due or try to take the payment out of your account until you show up and they say you have a past due balance. And then they charge a 20 dollar late fee for a day late payment when the entire month is only 27.00. The manager lady is very rude and will not allow you to work out if you are a day late according to their records even though you havent been notified in any way and even though the app has an option to let you work out 1 time after being notified. Just stopped in to try and work out on my lunch break and when I opened the app it said I had a past due balance that I was not aware of. No declined payment notification from my bank and there is no record of them attempting to take the payment from my account and no notice of a payment being due. Can't get anyone on the phone to try and resolve this issue either.

On Saturday, September 13th, after doing my workout, I went to the counter at 10:20 am to request coins for the massage chair. The lady there had a racist attitude toward me. She rudely asked for my personal information to check my membership and demanded that I spell my last name. After checking, she gave me the coins to use the massage chairs with a bad attitude. A few minutes later, another member approached the counter to request coins to use the massage chairs and she handed them over without asking for her information. If Planet Fitness's mission is to not prejudice against any person who is within its facilities, then this person is not committed to her mission. It's regrettable.

This used to be a real familiar gym, with good management and employees. Now they hired people that will make the business go broke. Many members I know are canceling their memberships and moving to a different gym where they are appreciated. They didn't help when I called to freeze our account and all those late fees that they trying to charge when I was not using the membership, is ok we were paying 27 dollars monthly plus maintenance now you lose a membership just because new management is incapable of understanding and just care about trying to act like it cares to the franchise to be promoted. Now you didn't get the 20 dollars late fee you tried to overcharge on my account and the business is losing around $400 dollars in income from my membership. 27 monthly ×12 months + 50 dollars maintenance. Wow so smart. That's how, Golds gym, failed, LA fitness went broke, Bally Total Fitness, Toys'rus, KMART, BP, Sports Authority, Bed Bath, Burdine's, etc. The lack of good customer service is the end of all business. If you own a business make sure you understand this. Planet fitness is on his way to failure as well because managers like this Courtney at this planet fitness at Russellville Arkansas. People sweat to much for their money for you to want to steal it.

I called to freeze my account, they didn't do it, late fees and new balance are posted on my account and the new management Lady named Courtney after me trying to talk to her for more than a week she refused to help even when all details was explained. She said this gym is a franchise so she didn't freeze my account. I ask her to cancel my account and she refused to do it even I explained Im not using the club since June and charges keep coming inn. I know many members living the club because the way new manager is treating very old members in the club. This type of attitude is what take business to failure. The people that used to work there were very nice, helpful and understanding. Im taking my business to a gym where is appreciated.

Been going to the gym for over 6 years and then they let go of the manager and the majority of the staff and replace them with different people. They also replaced all the machines and I'm not sure the new ones are better. Some of them are good, but other ones not so much. Also, the second year I attended the gym I found out they accepted silver sneakers cards and I let him know that I had one and I showed it to him and they said that they didn't take them. Later on I find out that I could have had a free membership the entire time and they were not willing to give me a refund for that either. My friend used to attend that gym and went for 4 years and never made a payment because he had a silver sneaker card. Nevertheless, I canceled my membership and a year later they're still charging me and they won't give me a refund and they say that I have to come in and do it even though I've talked to him twice in person and on the phone.

Let me start with the positive...

I stopped to take a shower. The shower stalls are large, the water was hot, and there was a rain shower head that actually worked.

Now for the negative ....

As soon as I walked in the women's locker room, there is black mold growing in the ceiling tiles by the exit sign. Not a little bit, it was very prevalent. Who knows how much is not seen.

When I saw the shower stalls, the tile grout had the same black stuff on quite a bit of it. I'm happy I had my shower shoes with me. They did have a shower chair available that could be moved to any stall. That was nice, but I scrubbed that sucker a lot before using it.

This is the only PF where there was no soap dispenser in the showers.

When I entered, the gal at the counter was busy cleaning some sneakers. She looked at me, but that was the only acknowledgement I received.

This is a place to come work out and get healthy, but when you're breathing in nasty stuff, I think I pass on this location again.

I have relocated to another state and have called this club many times to cancel my membership. Some of the staff have told me they are not familiar with the cancellation process. On other occasions, after speaking with a representative, as soon as they understand that I want to cancel my membership, they suddenly hang up on me. The staff was polite. It has a good mix of machines and cardio bikes/step masters/ treadmills and electric ski machine things. However, it has no clear place to sit and stretch with mirrors. Further when I got a mat to do sit-ups and streches either the mat or floor stank wrechedly. Somebody in charge does not understand full field day bleach and soap scrubbing.

i like the atmosphere. SOME of the staff like Mr. Marvin are super friendly and helpful. i LOVE the tanning beds and red light therapy im glad im a PF member. This is just an add-on to my review it is now 2024 and I still love this place I'm very glad that we have one of these in our town I highly recommend it you won't you won't regret it. It's June 10 2024 and I still go here. It's not as lively or as nice as it used to be but I'm sure wear and tear will happen. I think the prices are a little bit expensive but it's the closest gym to where I live so in the end it works for me.

I was a member of planet fitness in Russellville AR for over a year. The staff is great, the manager, Marvin, was very helpful. The equipment was always clean
But my big complaint was the obscene programming on channel 2 that made merchandise out of women. I have complained to the corporate office in writing last year about a similar issue to the PF CEO and he never bothered to even reply to me.

I will not tolerate women being abused in the PF programming- thus I canceled my PF membership and will not let my wife or my girls to be members of PF. ( we joined a gym where there is only one screen, not 24.)
Like I said, my complaint is not with the local PF manager or staff, it is with the PF CEO, Chris Rondeau, in New Hampshire.

Looks better in general on the inside versus the outside. There’s too much equipment in the 360/stretching area thus not enough room to stretch. The floor in the perimeter of same area is very dusty and has debris, needs more attention to detail in regard to cleaning. While I’m typing this review at this PF, I have several flies landing on me. The music is too loud. The showers are very spacious but the water temperature is tepid which is so disappointing and the grout is getting moldy. I travel a lot and have been to many PF locations so I am comparing to others I have visited. Regardless, I got a good workout.

The atmosphere is mediocre at best, while I definitely understand the judgement free zone mantra, some of their new signage says otherwise in my opinion.
The gym itself isn’t bad depending on what your goals are. If you want to “get big” and lift heavy, this gym may not be for you; if you’re looking to do more of a cardio tailored, machine based workout, then this is where you should be.

I've never been to a gym before and decided it was time to get myself back in shape. I've let my umm.. (cough) "condition" carry on far too long. I researched all my local gyms and decided to join PF. Mostly because of cost and the amenities it offers for the black card membership. I have to say I really like it. It's clean. It's never too crowded on the days/times I go. The equipment is in good condition and instructions are posted on most of them to show proper use. I was admittedly a little intimidated by them but didn't let it stop me from probably making a spectacle of myself trying to use them. I know it's a "judgement free zone" but I thought people secretly were. Then I reminded myself that everyone had to start somewhere and no one automatically knew how to operate one the first time. I am super happy to work on getting myself back to being comfortable with my own body.
