Great place for seniors and rehab patients. Great variety of machines, and free weights too. Variety of yoga classes. Great staff able and willing to help! If you have a Medicare Advantage plan, you may get a break in the monthly fee.
Be good to yourself. Come and see. π

UPDATE: Two pulmonologists have confirmed lung damage from toxic fumes, consistent with chloramine poisoning. The Health Department is still investigating, now bringing in air quality specialists from Little Rock. Sadly, Washington Regional has ignored patrons safety. PLEASE BEWARE, ESPECIALLY AVOID THE THERAPY POOL!
Edit: I must revise my review. Recently, within the last few weeks, the pools have been very dirty, with cloudy water, yucky particles floating in the water, and scum accumulating on the bottoms of both pools. The smell was odd and I asked if they used chlorine. The lifeguard said he didn't know. Last week, the entire pool area was closed, with no explanation. When it reopened 5 days later, it was sparkling clean and smelled fresh. I asked why it was closed, and the receptionist said the "PH was off". One of the trainers confirmed they use chlorine and it is the lifeguard who dispenses it. Again, he was evasive. It is well known that chlorine interacts with waste particles, such as skin, oils, urine and fecal matter, to produce chloramines. In an indoor pool without adequate ventilation, these heavy fumes settle on the surface, causing respiratory irritation that could be serious, especially for some of the medically-compromised patrons here. The supervisor, Robert, said his "hands are tied" and he could not provide any information or assistance. I had no choice but to cancel my membership. I sure hope they uppity-ups at Washington Regional will inspect the cleaning & chemical records, as well as the ventilation system and air quality, for the safety of their patrons. More transparency might be too much to ask, but I believe in telling the truth, not trying to cover up mistakes.
My first review: Washington Regional Center for Exercise has become an almost daily ritual for Hubby and me. We recently moved to Fayetteville and visited several fitness centers. WRCE exceeded all our expectations.we love the bikes, the circuit machines, the classes, and the pool is a wonderful wind down. We only wish the Center could stay open until noon on Saturdays. Hopefully, as membership increases, that may happen. Silver Sneakers are paid by their insurance. Even without SS, membership is only $60/month for a senior couple. Worth every penny!

Iβve been using the CFE since 2017 regularly (actually started in early 00s but stopped for a bit) and thereβs no better place, especially the pool. I have made great friends and rely on the Center to keep me moving. Class offerings are coming back after the COVID hiatus and the Pilates instructor is awesome! I am grateful for the support and encouragement I get from the staff to continue meeting my goals, and hope to keep going for years to come.

I love this gym! The staff is so friendly, and the trainers really know how to provide an experience tailored to each individual. They celebrate our successes and encourage us to keep progressing. I especially love the pool, where swimming and exercise occurs free of the judgement of others. I have made friendships there that will last a lifetime. Keep up the good work!

I have been going to this pool almost two years. I absolutely loveeeeeeee this pool, and the staff! Everyone is friendly, helpful, and the fact that I am 48 and not a βseniorβ has never been an issue. The other swimmers welcome me, we talk, swim and I have developed many great relationships. These new friends and I have even met outside the pool. I am so grateful to have this pool! I joined to help my back to avoid surgery, and not only am I getting help with my back with my swimming and advice from the trainers, but new friends who are wonderful including the great staff!

Very well equipped with both free weights and weight machines. The cardio equipment is quite varied, but there are only a couple of units of each version. This gym caters to Washington Regional employees and "older" gym rats as well as serving as an exercise site for long term rehab for people with disabilities. It's a good choice for people looking for a non-competitive environment. The gym is rarely crowded, but Saturday mornings can be busy enough that I have to change the order of a workout or switch to an alternative exercise to keep moving. Personal trainers are available for a reasonable fee. There are organized classes for very low impact aerobics and yoga-ish exercises. Oh, and there is a not too small pool for folks who want water aerobics or to swim short laps.

I really like this place. My trainer is patient and encouraging and it is not overwhelming like the big gyms are.

My sisters and I actually went to swim in the indoor pool and also used the heated soaking pool. Nice place with showers and towels too.

The Center for Exercise at Washington Regional Hospital in Fayetteville, Arkansas, offers a pleasant workout experience with a well-rounded set of Cybex machines, including many with handicap-accessible features, as well as a traditional set of barbells and dumbbells. There are also a great variety of cardio machines, including treadmills, stationary and recumbent bikes, elliptical machines, and rowers, among others.
This full-service fitness center also sports a pool, group exercise room, and clean locker rooms. Personal trainers are available for an additional fee, if you are that way inclined.
One drawback for some people may be their hours of operation, which are somewhat shorter than other gyms I've been a member of. Below is a photo of their hours. Otherwise, the staff is friendly and the equipment and facility are well maintained. I recommend this fitness center!

I used the walking lane for about one year before I quit. I wanted to run/stride/exercise in the lane. Most of the women in the lane used it to stand side by side in the lane and talk. Those who weren't standing used it to hang off the side of the lane and talk. The talkers even told me they didn't want to get their hair wet. Eventually, having to dodge the talkers and standers was just ridiculous.

I was at the senior clinic. I have going their since I turned 65. I wanted to see a particular doctor their. All the of the staff are great, kind and so helpful. When you get good hugs from your doctor it says a lot. God bless them all. Even the hospital that they are connected to is great.

The facility is great! Front desk staff (Ms. Merri) is friendly and very helpful. There are many exercise options, free weights, treadmills, various bikes, and of course the guided equipment. Staff are on the floor for questions. The pool looks welcoming, I am just slowly increasing my routine. One of the staff said they are are waiting for a water class instructor, but there is lane swimming at specific times, open swimming, also at specific times, and they also have a walking lane.
The facility is clean and also provides sanitation wipes once someone has finished using an exercise station. Towels are also provided! Other patrons seem friendly. Parking can be limited, depending on the time of day, so it may be necessary to have to walk on the outside of the building around to the rear entrance of the Center. Interior doors were locked due to some Washington Regional safety policies on my first visit.
I am very happy I joined. My insurance provides Silver Sneakers, which is acceptable, and I find this facility to be nicer than one I was a member of in Little Rock.

I was unsure of what atmosphere (visited several facilities around the area) may help me get into a routine as a new retiree with arthritis. After 6 weeks using the warm pool Iβve been able to add using the recumbent cardio and gym equipment. Iβve had to miss a few days this week and canβt wait to get back into my routine.

My mother in law had a brain aneurysm surgery and the whole family was there, about 15-20 of us in all. I first want to say that the surgery went well and she is doing fine today. However they told us that as soon as she would get out of surgery they would let us know. Well they didn't. A 4 hour surgery turned into not knowing anything for 6 six hours. Nobody would even attempt to find out what was going on when we asked. We finally found out where she was after we called the hospital on they phone right in front of the people who were there to help us. While they surgeon did his job no one really in that place did. They need to figure out the family is almost as important as the patient.

Good facility and monthly cost focused on geriatrics like me. If you don't have grey hair you are welcome but will see few who look like you.
