Out of all the 24 hr fitness I have been to, this one is by far the best one you'll get in sacramento. Gym equipment are well kept and clean. Bathroom is always stocked and generally clean (that's high for a 24 hr fitness). Staff are always so nice and willing to help you out! You'd be surprised but the people here are also friendly. I recommend this spot for anyone looking for a good, affordable gym that clearly had people caring for it.

Coach Monterio is a great asset to the 24 hour fitness on Greenhaven Dr in Sacramento.

My lady and I both signed up for training. He was knowledgeable and definitely had us feeling the effects of the workouts without pushing too hard.

We gave him a list of things we wanted to work on and he created excercises that focused on our goals. He even threw in a dietary plan for each of us.

We would completely recommend his services.

This location is filthy. I’ve been a few times and have never seen anyone cleaning, especially in the women’s locker room. It’s unsanitary to say the least. Every time I visit, the floor is covered with the same excessive amount of hair, the same faucets are still out of order, and it doesn’t seem like they plan to fix them anytime soon. That’s aside from this location being older and clearly not renovated since its opening. Charging a maintenance fee while not even cleaning once in a blue moon is crazy if you ask me. I think it’s about time inspection visits this place. I’m also not sure who’s writing all these positive reviews, but they definitely don’t match reality.

Went in this morning and honestly had one of the best gym experiences I’ve had in a while. The place was super clean, the equipment was all in great shape, and there was plenty of space to get a good workout in without feeling crowded. The vibe was positive and motivating, which made it easy to push myself a little harder.

Big shout-out to Alicia at the front desk—she was super welcoming when I checked in and set the tone for the whole visit. It really makes a difference when the first person you see is so friendly, upbeat, helpful without being pushy, and just created an all-around great atmosphere.

9/4/25 For 3 weeks now the precore cross counrty ski machines, more than half either dont work, are a very rough ride, or the handels are broken. People have complained about it yet nothing ever gets fixed at this gym. I have been a member since 1997. I have never met such a rude greeter. The gym now opens at 5 am no longer 24 hours. I have gone through hundreds, if not thousands, of counter greeters. Once the employee gets to know all the regulars, things start running like normal, but this young lady won't even say good morning to me. I'm the first one every morning . At the door at 445. Once she opens the door, I say good morning, and she says nothing. Shelia says good morning, then she says good morning. I don't get it. ignor me, but say hi to everyone else. She's the only one who doesn't talk to the regulars. Once she started to know us, she would set up two tvs tor Sheila and Dan. I would have to ask for mine. 2 months later, she started changing mine as well. But now she asked me to check in. I have my original membership ID. It looks like your high school ASB card. They can't check me in, only by hand typing in my name. All other greeters can remember one name and would enter it after people checked in. She wants me to check in first. That would be fine with me if someone was behind the counter when I first came in, but there is not. They are setting up the front. She just prefers to be unprofessional and cause difficulty and try to be authoritative. Bring any of the old employees back because she is the worst. Typical GenZ expects a lot for very little effort.

I’ve met many front desk workers in my lifetime, but after today I needed to write this review. Zach is in a league of his own. If there were an olympic games for customer service, this man would be taking home back-to-back-to-back gold medals, breaking world records, and probably setting a new event called “most encouraging membership scan EVER”.
The moment I walked in, it was like I just got a free TED talk disguised as a jacked white curly top boy with that big ol beautiful smile. He had the rare combination of enthusiasm, professionalism, and “I actually care if you hit that last rep” energy. By the time I made it past the front desk, I felt like I’d been knighted by the fitness Gods themselves. Honestly, I didn’t even need to work out. Zach’s presence alone burned at least 300 calories. I walked in, and I walked out inspired. I firmly believe he might actually be the mitochondria of this gym (the powerhouse of the whole operation)

Every gym needs a guy like you Zach, I hope you see this. You may have just convinced me to stop skipping leg day.

To management, you got your guy. He’s the real deal.

If 24 Hour Fitness had a Hall of Fame, Zach would already be inducted. This man deserves his own protein shake flavor. Every time I walk in, he’s either cracking a joke, hyping people up, or somehow making me forget that I’m about to willingly torture myself on the StairMaster.

Zach has the kind of customer service that makes you want to renew your membership instead of ghosting the gym like a bad Tinder date. He’s equal parts trainer, comedian, and motivational speaker—basically the Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson of the front desk.

If you see Zach, thank him. If you don’t see Zach, ask for him. Honestly, I think he runs on pre-workout and pure good vibes.

I been a proud 24 Hour remember since 1984 (yes, over 40 years!) when there were a few “24 Hour Nautilus” health clubs in the Bay Area and have called the Greenhaven location my home gym since 2018. The current staff really stands out esp front desk associate Emilio, personal trainer Dylan and manager Robin. The spirit of this location is very well established with many kind retirees and young spirited gym goers serious yet kind and respectful towards other members. This place has definitely become my “home” gym for all the right reasons!

Working with Andre as a trainer has been a top notch experience as he is the right amount of gentleness and firmness I need to stay focused on my fitness goals. He has given me confidence and education to try new fitness machines such as pull-ups who knew I could do them?

Geraldo and everyone in the front with their welcoming smiles and encouragement also top notch from the first day I signed up.

Now, the business practices of this gym is questionable as they lack communication with me as a consumer and have yet been able to explain the additional charges or provide a refund despite the acknowledgement of the error. My credit union nor insurance have been able to get a clear response from them either. This issue has been a inconvenience without proper compensation or communication.

If trying to decide if this is a gym for you ask is the risk of being over charged worth the reward of the use of the equipment and motivating staff to reach your fitness goals?

In the very beginning, this gym was a little bit dirty and needed some work in the bathrooms but just recently now it seems to have stepped it up. It’s much cleaner than the seventh Street 24 hour fitness and much cleaner in general as of a few weeks ago, we would prefer to only come to this one due to the changes of it being cleaner. And the sauna is nice and it seems to be hotter than the seventh street one which is something that’s very important to us since we Are really big and using the sauna seventh Street one has changed in the way that in the men’s bathroom, the guys were doing sexual activity and they were harassing people whether it’s inside the locker rooms or outside of the locker rooms.

We are extremely happy with the new changes that have taken place and we hope that it continues as it is making us very happy customers.

This gym pretty calm and well maintained. It can get busy during its peak hours. It is an older gym with an older crowd in the morning. Emilio in the front is always cleaning and restocking items.
